These guys seems to know a lot about bitcoin

To be fair, Bitcoinica was never hacked due to a coding error. It seemed to be management and VPS on every occasion.
Probably bitcoinica was never hacked altogether, bitcoinica to me looks like a scam (especially after the "no backup" and the last "money that was on mtgox lost" news)
Yes, i have heard about them but my question is, who will have a dvd reader in 20-30 years?
I agree too.
Btw, they had backups, they reverted the trades and they will pay everything, to me it seems BTC-E is facing the problem in the best way. Not like the idiots/scammers of bitcoinica
Well, BTC-E is doing everything in the correct way. They had backups, they reverted the trades and they will pay for everything.
Mmhh... it seems the guy is a bit confused. To me it seems he think Bitcoin is related to this forum and maybe it's like "you register an account here and you manage bitcoins here" Well, it's not like that.
Bitcoins are NOT related to this website (they are related to NO website at all), you manage them via the bitcoin client (either the one on bitcoin.org wich will also download the whole blockchain or a light one wich connect to a server instead of getting the whole blockchain)

dev: we do rollback right now Nice That's why you make backup, so in case of problems you do a rollback and problem solved. Not like the scammers of bitcoinica that "we have no backups lol"

useless keys? spent keys? no key is "useless" and it will never automatically delete a key! An empty key can still be used as a receiving address, so if you delete it and someone you previously gave that address send you bitcoins to that address, bad bad thing, you don't have the key to use them... If you have a chest and empty it, you don't trash it, or trash its key it can still be useful...
Then it work in the correct way: cpu mining today is useless
Wallet.dat just contain your private keys, then the client check the blockchain and check how many bitcoins do these keys have.
(yes it contains more info than that, but what matter are the private keys, the rest are useful things to speed up things if i'm right)
Yeah, it's perfectly legit
I'm unsure about how to judge the antivirus, i appreciate that it block that cause it's an automatically started thing wich put my cpu at 100% when i go on that website but... well it isn't a virus or a malware...

SHA-256 is used by all the world, banks, governments, companies etcetc. If it get broke...well we can easily switch to something else with a client update. Meanwhile the entire world would collapse
Hi Mike, yes, that's true.
Yes, no one can freeze your wallet and yes, you don't have to report anything to fed or whatelse.
Nice, waiting for police arresting ppl for having bitcoins
This article is from more than a year ago lol. Bitcoin is not illegal.

People still don't completely understand what cryptocoins are. They were created out of any government control (even against it) but ex-owners of stolen coins expect to get support of a government. But it has no sense!
I wasn't happy to read about recent Bitcoinica hack. Of coz, victims should ask the police for help to return money, but ONLY FIAT MONEY. Noone ought to mention bitcoins, coz every user of cryptocoins should understand that they outside the law. I pay taxes and I don't want them to be spent for salary of a police officer who investigates a case related to cryptocoins.
I don't know English good enough to explain very sophisticated ideas, but I hope u got me.
Nonsense We pay TAXES wich also serve for the police service. So yes, if someone steal something from you, you should call the police because you know, you pay TAXES for that. Bitcoins outside the law. Would u call the police if someone stole ur marijuana? Again, nonsense marijuana is illegal bitcoin is NOT illegal
