2921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 29, 2021, 03:42:43 PM
For the rest of the season, I hope that AC Milan will stay in the top 4 at least and compete in the UCL competition next season. I expect their participation there every season, but they don't seem consistent enough. Serie A will restart on Saturday and AC Milan will be the league opener after the international break. The match between AC Milan vs Sampdoria is expected to be a momentum for AC Milan to rise for the rest of the season. I don't expect them to take the main position from Inter Milan, it's very difficult. But at least they have to be consistent for the rest of the season.
Pioli is doing an amazing job at AC Milan. His recruitment has been deliberate and spot-on, he has found a perfect balance in the team, blending the old guard and the new boys together and his tactics have be spot-on. Keeping ZLATAN fit and firing on all cylinders has been immensely important for their title charge this season and now that is season is down the home stretch, he must be keep at top condition.
2922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I invest in Crypto and Which Coin Should I invest in? on: March 29, 2021, 09:33:07 AM
There will always be price fluctuations, but even if newbie think he his losing, he should believe bitcoin is deflationary, and they the price will later increase,  although investing what he his capable of investing.

Yes its true, the market is volatile and changes  rapidly. This makes it hard for newbies to hodl when the market becomes bearish. It is easy to hodl in theory but in real life its a more of a burden for a newbie to bear..the heart aches and worries. You don't want your first investment to go down the drain.
2923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How Do I invest in Crypto and Which Coin Should I invest in? on: March 29, 2021, 09:11:57 AM
How Do I know which coins to Buy?
The most popular crypto right now is Bitcoin and Etheruem. They are always a good buy. If you are looking into alts, you have to do thorough research before buying any cryptocurrency. There are lot of scams out there. You should check the coin cap, read the white paper and see if you're interested in the project. Don't just listen to rumours and tweets. I honestly cant give financial advice on this subject but I'd suggest if you're investing in a coin you should look at the tech behind it first and then the publicity.
2924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: March 29, 2021, 08:13:34 AM
It takes a lot of discipline to actually hodl. People often think its a fun ride to hodl coins but in reality it is very difficult to do so completely. How do you hodl when a coin hits rock bottom? How do you don't Fomo? Hodling is not for weak hands it is beneficial in the long run but who knows where the finish line is. There is nothing wrong in selling when the price pumps and buying the dump. Cryptoneurs shouldn't be made to feel bad because they decide to take small profits.
2925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Nigeria Central bank confusing its citizens? on: March 29, 2021, 08:03:54 AM
The Nigerian central bank has a bad PR department,I guess.
Why can't they just share publicly their views on cryptocurrencies and their legal status in Nigeria, instead of sending a bunch of confusing messages to the public?
Was its so hard to say "It's OK to trade cryptocurrencies, but do not use your local bank account for buying cryptocurrencies or receiving fiat money for crypto coins that you have sold".
There's a reason platforms like Paxful are full with people from Nigeria.
Yeah you're right. The government find it difficult to communicate with the citizens. This is not the first this has happened. It is a chain reaction really. The FG comes up with such tactics every now and then to derail the people from asking questions.

Its not just Paxful there are Nigerian exchanges like roqqu and Patrica that are being used by a lot of people. The ban was an effort to frustrate the citizens

Who wouldn't like it?! that the world can be without poverty that everything can avail of anything they want to have in life, that every single needs can be met that each and every country can provide for what ever the needs of their country men but we all know that this is not true I wish its true, if only every is not only thinking of their needs and be fair and help one another, if only people is not greedy of money and fear of God.
The world would be in chaos if that happens. There is a order to everything. We would always have the Rich and the Poor and those in between. We have systems put in place to make sure of that. The Rich folks will always do all they can to maintain their wealth because they understand the power of money. They wont lose that power so easily. They invest wisely and impact the same knowledge and enthusiasm into their children. The same goes for the poor folks and its just an endless cycle

The chances of winning a bet placed on European world cup qualification matches is very slim, a lot of upset in many matches is usually recorded except some few matches whose winning is guaranteed but odd too small e.g San Marino vs England, Kazakhstan vs France, Albania vs England etc the odds doesn't worth it just as bad as you mentioned it, once EPL resumed this weekend I hope to see better odd and more opportunities in placing them.
Players do better in their clubs than in national team. I rather wait for the EPL before opening my betnomi to place any bet. There are not enough good games to choose from. Besides I'm never lucky with national games so I stick with what works for me..EPL, La liga and Serie A. For others this may be the same but hey every gambler should know his strengths and weaknesses. Hodling till EPL resumes lol
2928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 29, 2021, 06:29:08 AM

Ronaldo brings troubles to his striker team-mates. Higuain has to leave Real Madrid and Juventus because of Ronaldo. The greed and selfish to play as a core striker, the destination of all key passes cause troubles. It can break down the confidence of other strikers. It is difficult to find a striker like Benzema who readily to sacrifice and help Ronaldo but still don't lose confidence and finishing skills.
I do not think Ronaldo is the problem. Ronaldo, although he started off as a winger, is a striker now and we must appreciate that he is one of the best at it. We all applaud Van Persie, Suarez, Aguero  for their single-mindedness as strikers but call Ronaldo selfish. Nobody calls Messi or Lebron James selfish for always demanding the ball. What Juventus needs a functional front line that plays to Ronaldo’s strength. Rooney is always regarded as one of the best strikers to ever play the game but he was never too 9 at United and I don’t think he ever finished 1st on the goalscoring charts. He played as a supporting striker to Tevez, Berbatov, Van Persie and even Owen. Dybala plays the same role but can’t seem to find a regular starting position in Juventus and that isn’t Ronaldo’s fault. We must also point our that Juventus is the first team to play Ronaldo as an out and out striker. He scored from the wings for Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Portugal (with strikers like Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Tevez, Benzema, Gomis), so why is Juventus trying so hard to fix what wasn’t broken?
2929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 29, 2021, 06:26:30 AM
Porto is not the strongest team to win the Champions League title. Strong teams like Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG are here. Who are now in extraordinary form. But Porto is a strong enough team to beat Chelsea. If Chelsea makes any mistake in the match, they will be defeated. Although the match will be very competitive as I think both teams are almost equally strong.

Looking at Porto, it is clear to see that they are a team well drilled in the importance of teamwork and cooperation. The Juventus side had better players but a weaker team. Against Chelsea they definitely need the same qualities. Chelsea have superior players and thy have added a very capable manager now and it’s clear to see that they are playing much better football. However, they have only been working with Tuchel for about a couple months now under a new formation and Porto must capitalize on that. The Chelsea team has weaknesses, most notably in the midfield and a lot of young players and if Porto are to have chance, they must take advantage of all this. However, I expect a tight tie but I think Chelsea may just come out on top here if they are serious about it.

Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? and Why?

Give me an honest answer, no spam please.
There's a saying what goes up must surely come down. But I doubt if we will ever see $10k again. Something unexpected will have to occur for that to happen like the corona virus in March 2020. We saw a dump to $5k which was a good buy although I missed out on that one because I had all my money stacked in btc and other alts. At the time a massive dump was the last thing I needed. Now if we see a significant dump God knows I'm praying for one. I have usdt waiting to buy the dump.

Third world is what you called those people who are eating once a day, some are not even have that chance and really suffering.
There are some people who have the privilege's to enjoy the luxuries while there are more people that ain't even got something to place
in their tables, poverty is one of those many problems any government are facing all around the world.

I have to disagree with you  carlisle1 you clearly misrepresented what a third world nation is. Painting a image that a third world country is one where its citizens can afford a meal is very wrong and stereotyped. The term "third world" has been used too often to generalize developing countries particularly in Africa as being primitive and unable to cater for themselves. This is not true!! Countries in the third world are developing countries not underdeveloped. And with good management of resources a third world could easily develop. The difference between most developing countries and developed countries is basically three things; Management, Corruption, Vision

Anybody here wishing the days away until the EPL returns next weekend? I am sorry but the international soccer does nothing for me. It’s far from as entertaining as the EPL. Most world cup qualification games are dull, lots of low quality teams, boring.

You're definitely not alone as I do feel the same about international breaks. These international breaks weekends are usually boring that's why I don't even gamble on these matches. I've been patiently waiting for the Premier league and other top sports league to resume again for regular season.  I'm not a huge fan of international games. The worst are those Uefa Euro 2021 matches.

Looking forward to Leicester vs City and Arsenal vs Liverpool games next week saturday.

International breaks are no fun. It's a spoiler for me I actually enjoyed last weekend games. I doubt anyone looks forward to watching the  games. The annoying part about the international break is when key players get injured during this time and have to return to their clubs with injuries. This just disrupts the whole team and process that have been put together. International break will be over and the clubs have to bear the cost of it all. It is unfair and should be looked at. Who should pay for the treatment of players who sustained injuries during the international break? Who should be responsible?
2933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Nigeria Central bank confusing its citizens? on: March 29, 2021, 04:48:37 AM
I believe the Nigerian government is just confused and short of ideas. The best they could come up with as a solution to fall in naira was to ban crypto as they claimed it was responsible for the decrease in the value of naira. The question now is Why the sudden change of heart?  Was there a new research or findings that made them change their decision or is the government just playing games as usual. The  current administration quite popular for its incapability and inefficiency. All they can do is come up with things to distract the public from the real damage they are doing to the country( embezzlement of funds, extra judicial killings, e.tc.). I won't be surprised if they place a ban on crypto again.

2935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 28, 2021, 08:47:32 PM
I assume there are not many people who are thinking that Liverpool have really a good chance to win the Champions League title.
I also think Liverpool is difficult to win the title of Champions League. Liverpool is in a bad situation, with many crucial players injured, they are lucky enough can be in the current stage. Then, they will against Real Madrid, the most team winning in the Champions League. I am not sure if Liverpool can win this time, they will play without 3 best defenders (Van Dijk, Matip, Gomez) and 1 best striker (Firminho). These will be the weaknesses and the chance for their opponent to beat them.

Then we look at the tactics....Liverpool have faltered in the league because mist teams have played them with a defensive set up, capitalising on Liverpool fragility at the back. The difference is that every team in the Champions league is a top team and plays expansive football, playing into Liverpool's hands as we saw in the Leipzig game. Klopp has lost only one two-legged European tie with liverpool since 2017 and that was against a very defensive Atletico Madrid team. So, if you a betting man, best to not put your money against Liverpool

Just noticed that when the season was starting everyone was so excited about Liverpool that 32.50% vote were for them LOL

https://i.imgur.com/nVJA5gl.png
Many were excited about the Liverpool previous fantastic season and they expected them to do the same in this one. Personally I voted for City and they disappointed me a lot in the beginning but I am happy to see them not failing my expectations Wink
I was also surprised at the start about Liverpool, but somehow I was more confident about City together with Pep who looked more promising for the results at the end of the season. Indeed, Liverpool the previous season was extraordinary and it is no wonder that the crowd who chose Liverpool this season was in the polls because Klopp looked so good. But yes, it was only the beginning and unfortunately Liverpool were unable to maintain their dominance.
Most people chose liverpool to retain their title because no one expected the massive injury list Liverpool have had this season. Most people excused Manchester City in the 2019/2020 season because of the injury to only Laporte. Liverpool have had their entire defence and several first team players injured throughout or at some point this season (Van dijk, Gomez, Matip, Trent, Davies, Tsimikas,  Henderson, Milner, Fabinho, Mane, Jota, Keita, Chamberlain etc).

2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 28, 2021, 07:56:26 PM
I assume there are not many people who are thinking that Liverpool have really a good chance to win the Champions League title. As long as being in the competition, every team have a chance lower or higher to make it. But when we think realistically, it is very hard for Liverpool to be successful on it this season.

It is very natural for Liverpool supporters to want their team to win the Champions League this season. But I'm sure most people realize Liverpool's
chances of winning the Champions League trophy are small. Because as you say if we think realistically about the performance Liverpool have shown
this season, very difficult Liverpool managed to win the Champions League trophy. Moreover, Liverpool have to face some of the best European teams.
Well, cup competitions can be a throw of the dice sometimes. Also, I don't think your league performance has much translation to your champions league campaign. Dortmund aren't doing well in the Bundesliga, Chelsea isn't playing sensational football in the premier league either and PSG isn't top of the Ligue 1 either. Liverpool won the champions league in 2005 and finished 5th in the league. Chelsea won it in 2012 and finished 6th. Not to mention that several of the Liverpool players are returning from injuries.
2939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So lets talk honest now about btc on: March 24, 2021, 10:30:22 AM
OP there are a lot of good reasons why you should invest in bitcoin. First, the tech behind bitcoin is revolutionary and exceptional we have seen incredible projects coming from the blockchain network. We have Etheruem which is worth above $1700 right now..remember ETH was forked from bitcoin.
Secondly, OP I think you'd be interested in theisbone bitcoin is the greatest appreciating asset of the decade. This means if you had bought 4 bitcoins ten years ago you'd be a very rich man today.
I love bitcoin because of the tech...I love that btc is built on a decentralized network and I enjoy the privacy and security it gives. No single government or country can regulate or control it. This idea sort of gives real power to the people in a sense.
2940  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the world be without poverty on: March 24, 2021, 09:59:59 AM

Poverty may exist. But it is possible to eradicate extreme poverty. China has done that. They have managed to completely eliminate extreme poverty. There are still poor people in China, but these people can afford good food and basic amenities. But that is not the case in most of the third world nations. Take India for example. Extreme poverty has actually increased there, as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic. The same can be said about most of the Sub-Saharan nations.
China reduced their population growth and increased productivity. They focused on manufacturing and production industries. This help them boost their economy but they are still poor people in China living below standard. India on the other hand have increased their population over the years and the stats show that more people living below the poverty line than middle class people in India. I disagree that the poverty level in India is as a result of the pandemic.
