2921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 11, 2022, 08:58:40 PM
I think Drake has been a laid low partner of Stake casino before the official distribution of the Email you got. He's been staking bets on Stake and the previous bet on the super bowl game which he posted on his Instagram page proves that he's been with Stake long ago but, users or players were not told about it officially. Good to know that he's now officially with Stake. More wins!
2922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments? on: March 11, 2022, 08:49:54 PM
It all depends on the use case of the NFT token. If you see that the project is just about hype then you need to sell off for profits and be on the safe zone. I know of some NFT tokens with better use cases where users are paid for using some NFTs like sneakers to run or walk. So when you see a use case like the one I stated and imagine that it will blow up in the future. It's a good thing to hold the token. This is applicable to any other token in the market beside NFT tokens. Your main focus should be on your imagination of their use case if it'll be adopted by so many people in the future.
2923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 11, 2022, 08:41:24 PM
I'm looking for the seriously negative opinion you share about CEX but that is not a convincing one-sided view. The fact that CEX is leading by refusing to ban Russia is understandable because if the crypto market continues to follow factors outside of economics, such as politics, it will be difficult to achieve the future goals we are thinking about. Looking back, from the beginning to the present, this market has experienced what events? But in general, during the current period of strong volatility, if one is too calculated, then take a break and wait for the next movement.

Yeah, but these exchanges are centralized and they don't convey the initial plans of Bitcoin. But, bitcoin needs them to excel although the law can change at anytime because it's under the control of Government already. Since the use of KYC is everywhere. The denial of the CEOs from banning Russia would have been no problem if they were decentralized. We need them both but, the centralized exchange have high trading volume more than the DEX. Showing that people prefer the centralized exchanges over the DEX. I think CEX serve as a means of luring more people into cryptocurrency market for profits and boosting the price of bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.
2924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joe Biden's Crypto Executive Order is a Historic Good News for Bitcoin. on: March 11, 2022, 08:33:31 PM
Though Biden is positive on the use of cryptocurrency and digital currency but, he is yet to conclude on a final law on the both. Integrating a digital dollar could be his way of battling the inflation that hit USD. He is just concerned about the general adoption of cryptocurrency not reaching out to those in Russia. So that they will not evade the sanctions. I think its the reason why he is still not all in on the new order. But, it'll be difficult to rule Russia out of the cryptocurrency market regarding the decentralized nature of bitcoin or cryptocurrency network.
2925  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How to calculate the probability of an attacker to double spend using C code on: March 11, 2022, 12:42:57 AM
In this thread, we are considering how possible it is for an attacker to generate an alternate chain faster than the honest chain. And the possible means of the attacker to get back the funds they sent on the chain.

the possibility that an attacker catches up with the honest chain is calculated as follows.

p= probability an honest node finds the next block
q= probability the attacker finds the next block
qz= probability the attacker will ever catch up from z block behind.

The mathematical equation can be seen on https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Using C code

#include <math.h>
double AttackerSuccessProbability(double q, int z)
{
       double p = 1.0 - q;
       double lambda = z * (q / p);
       double sum = 1.0;
       int i, k;
       for (k = 0; K <= z; K++)
       {
            double poisson = exp(-lambda);
            for (i = 1; i <= k; i++)
                 poison * = lambda / i;
            sum -= poisson * (1 - pow(q / p, z - k) );
       }
       return sum;
}

The results can be found on the link posted above. Note: I found this source code from reading the PDF and thought it will be of use to some members too. What are your thoughts on solving for the possibility of double spending when it's almost impossible for the honest chain to accept a block with an invalid transaction.

Bottom line, the Binomial Random Walk success event is the honest chain being extended by one block increasing its lead by +1 and the failure event is the attacker's chain being extended by one block, reducing the gap by -1.

Goodluck!
2926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2022, 11:57:43 PM
Jay Jay Okocha had skills that would make Ronaldinho jealous, and Nwakwo Kano aka Papilo was one of the best players Arsenal ever had. These two players made me love inlove with football. I remember when both players were playing for the Super Eagles, we wrote songs to celebrate them. Iheancho, Mikel and other Nigerians playing in Europe have made a name for themselves. But there is a lot of raw talent in the NPFL

Are you joking or something ? You mean Ronaldinho jealous of Jay Jay okocha ?
You should take this back, They are both good, i think they had a chance to play together in a team of which i can recall, could that be Paris ?
But Okocha is good at hes own zone and comparison with Ronaldinho hurts my eyes.
Kanu was quite influential for Arsenal in the old days, i think he deserves all of the praises given to him.
My problem with Jay Jay was being so skillfully great and not winning African best in any way!

I think he is right although Ronaldinho was a youngster when Okocha played with him in PSG. Most of Ronaldinho's skills he learn't from Okocha just that he added some flairs to it. One thing with Okocha is that he didn't win much trophy for Nigerians compared to the name he made in the world of football. Ronaldinho performed better during his career days more than Okocha did in his entire football career. But, in terms of skills I think Okocha is an entertaining footballer like Ronaldinho which leaves me to accept that Ronaldinho copied some skills from Jay Jay Okocha.

Look at Okocha's speech about Ronaldinho copying his skills
2927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How fast can the CEX affect the bitcoin price negatively? on: March 10, 2022, 11:04:48 PM
Hi everyone, I was having a conversation with a friend on Linkedin and he pointed out some things about the price of bitcoin and the CEX in terms of market sentiments. He provided some statistics about the trading volume of some exchanges starting from the Decentralized exchanges having a total of $4.9bn 24 hours trading volume and Binance a centralized exchange has 4 times the entire 24hours trading volume of DEX with $16.7bn 24 hours trading volume with some other CEX like Okx with $4.7bn 24 hours trading volume.

His point that got me thinking is that if the regulators sanction the top 5 CEX for refusing to ban Russia the price of bitcoin can drop to 30k then down to 8k. Or even if they didn't sanction the CEX that the news about sanctioning them can as well drop the bitcoin price.

Given that bitcoin price have been affected by market sentiments in the past when the press say things like China regulating bitcoin the price drops down and whales buy then later the price pumps back again without any action on bitcoin from China either. So do you think that bad news about bitcoin affects the price of bitcoin? Using the example above if such a news arises about sanctioning the top 5 CEX will the price of bitcoin drop drastically?
2928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inflation is here Why is not Bitcoin Saving Us? on: March 09, 2022, 12:27:57 AM
The only possible vehicle that will carry people past the high inflation rate of the world is Bitcoin. If the reason why it was created is implemented by the world they can escape inflation forever. People run to bitcoin and out saying that it won't solve the inflation problem since no vendor is ready to accept bitcoin. When people practice the Peer2peer kind of trading it'll save the world from the economic crisis that may arise. Thereby providing more profits to people that Hodl long term.
2929  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 08, 2022, 11:59:46 PM
What choice do we have to somehow slow down the much dominant Russia on this war? If it means we have to boycott all Russian gambling platforms, then so be it to feel that there's always a consequences for any actions. I consider the war mostly as Putin's war and not Russia's war that's why to end this mess, put a pressure to Putin as a head of the state.

Generally, from what i see, here in the forum, there's only a few Russian-based gambling here so there's no impact or difference if we have to boycott or not those gambling platforms based on Russia since in the first place, we are not really used on betting on those.

Indeed, its Putin against Ukraine and the world need an economic warfare to stop Putin. The sanctions have reduced the value of top Russian companies. The world is making a step to stop Putin but, its not enough. When countries stop buying oil from Russian Government the country will fill a huge downsize of their economy.

Placing sanctions on Gambling sites in this forum will have little or no effect on the Russian online gaming niche.
2930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to the Bitcoin network if Russia blocks access to the internet? on: March 08, 2022, 11:28:36 PM
Even if Putin blocked all ISPs in the country, there would still be other ways to communicate with the Internet, right? I mean, I don't know exactly how it works technically, but unless all the phone connections to the rest of the world are cut off, people could still use other ISPs from neighboring countries? And how about satellites, or other forms of radiowave communication?

Every kind of network LAN or WAN to communicate internationally with other computers in different countries needs an ISP to achieve this goal. It is possible for Russia to create a network that can communicate with computers in Russia which nobody can penetrate depending on the model they implemented.
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Currency Game on: March 07, 2022, 07:59:16 PM
Op are you referring to provably fair where you mentioned that the game will be decentralized and individuals will own the objects. I can't imagine what you need but, is the game live game? or a type of game used for interacting with different programmers where they integate objects they programmed as the Game characters. Then stake cryptocurrency and called it“ crypto currency game"
2932  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptocurrency is too small for Russia - Binance CEO on: March 06, 2022, 10:02:09 PM
If there's no mandate from the regulators of Binance to ban Russia on their trading platform, then he has no legal responsibility. It's a good idea not to ban the traders because we are talking here of decentralized currency and in the first place the main purpose of crypto is to get free'd up from the government full control and manipulation.

Many people quoted him on LinkedIn regarding what you just said; if the exchange was decentralized he wouldn't have been making all these explanation in the first place. But, we are not yet ready for the decentralized exchange because of the use cases of CEX and many people preferred it over the DEX. Nothing can be done to change the minds of the people so we just have to adapt to the disputes of using a centralized exchange.

War shouldn't affect Cryptocurrency anyway.

Cryptocurrency is not the cause of the war and I don't see any reason why the Government is all about cryptocurrency traders or users on CEX. Freezing of their account. The enemy is Putin and not innocent Russian citizens. They should reshape their focus on cryptocurrency and find other important issues that can be used to hold against Putin. At least to freeze the war.

2933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic on: March 06, 2022, 09:51:56 PM
I enjoy watching this sport. The participants of this sports is mainly weightlifters I mean the majority of the spectators. And it's a large niche and bitcoin is yet to be adopted in this sport. People placing bets using Bitcoin on such an interesting game will help publicize the currency. I can recall Mark Henry that won the strongest man in the world years back. He pushed a truck by dragging a rope tied on his body to the vehicle. It's been long since I watched this sport and it seems like people who are not into weightlifting easily forget about this sport.
2934  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 06, 2022, 09:35:14 PM
First, all the options you stated on the thread is conveyed to start up casinos like you said. And the guide will take them a long way if they have not been into the business of running a casino before. The money aspect is crucial because to run an Advert anywhere online requires huge amount of money. Op you forgot to state that the process won't be as fast as most of them will think. Because despite having the money, so many users here already got their favorite online casinos and to convert them to play a new casino will be difficult. In addition, they are expected to have patience and watch their platform grow gradually. Until they are satisfied with the number of users that will join their platform. This can take years to achieve.
2935  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 06, 2022, 09:20:03 PM
Russian gambling site list is so long. Although i am not familiar with those of sites without 1xbet. I don’t know by boycotting these gambling sites, who will be benefited or the war will be end? Because if somehow stop those sites many users will be affected not only Russian users. And those sites are developed by some of peoples money not government (Putin) own money.

And it's not the end of Russian owned gambling sites. They have so many of them and boycotting them all won't stop them from functioning. It's just like a way of staying with the Ukrainian regarding the oppression that Putin have sent on their country. Not patronizing Russian businesses is like saying that the whole Russia is against Ukraine while they are many of them that don't support the action of their President. Like you said, It won't put an end to the war. And I have been saying time without number that the best thing to do to support Ukraine is putting an end to this war so that students, business owners, kids and adults can come back home and feel relaxed. It's just the beginning of a new year and people are running away from their country for safety. It's an ill treatment and they don't deserve it for anything. Whether for greed or politics the homeless citizens are suffering so much the restriction won't help them in any way.
2936  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's the new big Cryptocasino to use for a UK player on: March 06, 2022, 09:08:56 PM
OP they are casino review sites on search engines that will give you details about cryptocasino eligible for UK players. But, play with caution when using VPN and endeavor to go through their TOS. Because you can only break a rule you know much about. Most online casino won't freeze your account immediately due to VPN but, at some point they'll definitely do so provided that your original IP is restricted from using their platform. I used to read some Casino review sites in the past "Ask Neil Patel" it contains a lot of information that you may need to escape the risk of using a VPN.
2937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network on: March 06, 2022, 07:59:05 AM
I want to know the use case of PI Network? I've heard some people talk about locking PI what does that mean? Although, I'm not mining Pi and no intentions of mining PI in the future because mining any type of coin through a mobile phone sounds like ponzi to me. However, I'll be glad if you let me understand the motive of this project.
2938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governments that accept Bitcoin for public services on: March 06, 2022, 07:51:49 AM
I think they are learning from the mistakes of others. Looking at what is happening in the world, the pandemic, war and inflation a smart Government should take a step like this so that in the future it won't be too late for citizens to know about bitcoin and how it works. However, it's a big win for bitcoin. Getting such an adoption will make a tremendous impact on the growth of bitcoin and Bitcoin.

But we also need to know whether this applies only temporarily or in the future bitcoin will always be used for their interests and for foreign companies so that bitcoin looks more useful to the wider community.
But if this adoption is only temporary, it means that everything also depends on their respective governments.

Sure, if its temporary then they have another reason for accepting bitcoin for public services. But, the side of the story that will never be temporary is the publicity they have brought on bitcoin in their countries and states. Even if the Government back off in future many citizens will continue to use bitcoin for different purposes. What matters is that new set of people are getting to know bitcoin for the first time in these countries respectively and many people will fall in love with the technology.
2939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: looking for: exchanges fastest withdrawing on: March 06, 2022, 07:44:04 AM
I have used OKX exchange to withdraw funds and it happened faster than I expected. Recently, they are fast but, I think they issued a rule that every user will have a wallet address that is attached to a domain name. Like having your name as the first letters on your address. In terms of speed they are recommended if you can bypass their wallet address rule you can check them out.
