The success will be highly dependent on the lawyers integrity tho

Exactly, because bitcoin is not a physical property, people cannot not detect if the lawyer was given the deceased private keys before he/she passed on. If the lawyer decides to move on with the funds because the rightful owner is no longer here on earth they will be no instrument to threaten such an ill action. It's better to save the private keys somewhere in the house where the heir can see them after the owner's disappearance on this world. Truly, I cannot trust anyone with my private keys including the law firms. A lot of people that will patronize this service will belong to the set of people that know less about the importance of private keys to the funds enclosed in their wallet.
2922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: February 10, 2022, 04:34:22 PM
Will Smith nominated for the best actor category is a great height for Him the movie King Richard portrays the life of Richard Williams and it sold out at the box office. It's a good prediction to say that Will Smith will get the Award. His role was superb alongside Tony Goldwyn. I knew Will Smith through my brother and since then I've been following some his movies, he's such a funny guy. Grin
2923  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why don't popular micro/freelancers sites adopt bitcoin? on: February 10, 2022, 09:11:42 AM
The reason for this can be traced down to double spending. It's rare though but it's possible if the person is an expert and have majority of the hashrate so such person can mine faster than others and would be able  solve ahead of the confirmed transaction because he can rewrite the block chain. Why most of them also don't look into Bitcoin is for fair trading. Bitcoin price is volatile and the confirmation of a transaction can stay pending for a long time. Who will pay for the funds if it disappears because a buyer sent money to an address with the wrong network. If the price fluctuate on user's balance after Its been deposited how can such a thing be controlled. So there are many reasons why they should not accept bitcoin. Freelancers can accept bitcoin on their own outside of the freelancing platform. Bottom line, accepting Bitcoin will increase the number of payment complaints on the platform.
2924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentraland (MANA) price prediction: will the token rebound? on: February 10, 2022, 08:45:09 AM
It's been a while since I heard of this token but, I remember I've read about the project in the past and love their use case. That's one thing that makes me predict that the token will some time as you said increase in price. Projects like this that portrays the digital real estate will definitely get a wide adoption with the kind of expensive transactions that go through their network. The land that people buy from their marketplace sell for good rates and thereby, if the market keeps soaring from the other digital properties that they sell. Then, I think the token price will boost as well.
2925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is NFT? on: February 10, 2022, 08:36:59 AM
Non fungal token is a kind of token that cannot be replaced. It's in the digital form and kind of replaced the traditional creative industry. Anything digital can sell as an NFT but, most of this tokens are drawn by it's rightful owners and placed at any marketplace where it can be sold for money. Recently, the market is booming that people don't care about the disadvantages of NFT, they just jump into the market and cause copyright issues. When an NFT lets say a portrait that belongs to someone else is being sold by another person who is not the rightful owner it's a red-flag that makes the Government want to regulate cryptocurrency. So, people who are ignorant of some dispute that can come out of NFT and just wish to make money are the people who cause why the Government are gazing on the activities happening in the crypto technology.
2926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gave 100$ of Bitcoin to my elder brother as a gift on: February 10, 2022, 05:42:39 AM
I think you opened a bitcoin deposit wallet account for your brother. Thus, giving bitcoin to people that know little or nothing about bitcoin is a strategy that will bother the recipient. His brother, will think about the strange currency my sibling just gave me as a Gift and advised me not to sell the coin. Such question will make the brother to visit exchanges, ask questions about bitcoin, and scout around the internet knowing about bitcoin. Gradually, people will start to see the impact of gifting bitcoin, to the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin needs this kind of publicity.
2927  Economy / Economics / Re: Just my own thoughts on: February 10, 2022, 05:22:45 AM
On a simple explanation, they are ways of boosting the publicity of bitcoin just like the comparison technique used by bitcoin users. If bitcoin is not compared to fiat so many people will not know about bitcoin. Traders and investors can be having such conversion. Other people who are not into cryptocurrency are anxious to know the asset that wants to replace Fiat. That's marketing. But, the CBDC cannot be compared to bitcoin because they have different use cases. CBDC takes the Central bank to a digital world where citizens can access and make transactions out of it. Many countries have failed to build their own digital currency. From my own thoughts, the digital currency is not far from online banking.
2928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia treat crypto as currency lets tell what is this on: February 09, 2022, 11:38:34 PM
From what I read, Russian government wants to utilize the wasted energy which the country generates or use. This is a dispute that gets related to the ecos of war in Russia. Moreover, every Bitcoin platform must get registered under the database of the Russian Government. So, they can milk taxes from her citizens through the cryptocurrency activities happening in Russia such as mining. The fact that they are focused on energy shows that they'll be working on Mining of bitcoin for rewards.
2929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin to Employees on: February 09, 2022, 07:27:21 AM
Some Organizations like Twitter have echoed that they'll pay employees with bitcoin the more people that get paid with bitcoin the more it gets adopted by Masses. But, that wouldn't get easy in terms of control. Employees can fee underpaid during the bear market while employers think otherwise if the market soar higher. The Fair Labor Standards Act States that employees should be paid in Cash or it's equivalent. Bitcoin can be equated to cash but it's not a legal tender. The government have not yet legalized Bitcoin. So it all depends on the both parties if they will accept the volatile nature of Bitcoin such that when the price increase the employees make more money and when it drops they'll lose some portion of their salary. They may see it as getting underpaid.

2930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Purpose on: February 09, 2022, 12:55:03 AM
In my opinion: Government is obsessed that they generate little or no money despite thousands of transactions happening everyday on bitcoin blockchain. Miners get the reward. If government can mine bitcoin it's the only means they can generate money from bitcoin. They can only regulate the institutions that work in line with bitcoin such as exchanges, businesses, etc. Scarcity is another reason government is working hard to control bitcoin so that they can handle huge amount of bitcoin when the 21 million bitcoins have been Mined. Can they get taxes from Bitcoin network?
2931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making valentine's day memorable with bitcoins. on: February 06, 2022, 09:08:24 PM
oh yah, now I have to find out one tech expert Girlfriend to give her a Bitcoin Paper wallet as a valentine gift,,  Cheesy
I'm 100% sure if you give a paper wallet to a nontech GF, she will not understand its dignity and will be arrogant, thinking that maybe he is being joked with, maybe even break up with you!! Cheesy

So, make sure your girlfriend's knowledge about this before giving a Bitcoin-related gift to avoid a breakup Wink, thank me later.

Seriously, the non tech girl will tear the paper wallet after or store it carelessly. I was thinking if the paper that contains the private keys should have a brief explanation of how she can get the money enclosed on the private keys. Make an illustration then write boldly how much is in the wallet so that she can value the paper. Although, women differ in behavior but, they share one similarity; money moves them, I don't think any girl will be arrogant if she understands that the paper she is holding is worth a good amount of money.
2932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1700 BTC tweet - NFT on: February 06, 2022, 08:01:49 PM
He must have been thinking so much about the recent bitcoin price and the amount he sold in the past. A lot have changed, though he'll see some funds for selling his tweet as NFT still a great Idea selling his mistake to the cryptocurrency world. Hopefully, the buyer of this NFT will hold it as a sign of respect to the tweet's owner for selling bitcoin when it was so little in price. Maybe few years later the tweet he sold as NFT will worth more than the price he placed it today. I think Greg the owner of the NFT should hodl it so that he won't regret in future if the price skyrockets in another person's hand.  Grin
2933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin evangelist Michael Saylor says crypto regulations would speed adoption on: February 06, 2022, 08:50:06 AM
Regulating Bitcoin because of adoption is not a perfect Idea. People that will adopt Bitcoin will do so whether regulated or not. This is more than ten years of bitcoin's existence without being regulated and more people in the world know about Bitcoin. What matters is to allow bitcoin the way It was created by Satoshi. The longer Bitcoin stays the more people will adopt it. Michael Saylor as a business man needs fast profits so he would need a large percentage of people to adopt Bitcoin because he is among the whales in the market. I don't want Bitcoin to be regulated by the government.
2934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Snooker Game on: February 06, 2022, 08:28:13 AM
Snooker is a sweet board game for two people to play. I started playing snooker 2 years ago and it didn't take me a hard time to learn the game. I watched some tutors play on YouTube and practiced on board with friends. Truly, I've not staked any bet on snooker game because of how confusing the game is to me sometimes I just Port balls luckily and I miss out some balls. So, it's not something I can take too serious and stake my funds into. Just play snooker for fun that's all.
2935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What high gas fee have cost me on: February 06, 2022, 05:15:27 AM
The Ethereum miners are the cause of the high fees, they was a time last year when the gas fee was destroyed after sometime and the fees dropped on Ethereum network but, I don't know why their fees are increasing again. Although eth is my favourite altcoin despite the high fees it may not affect the bulk sellers. It's just not good to trade little funds using Ethereum.
2936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to reinvest into Altcoins? on: February 05, 2022, 09:51:36 PM
I don't see this move as a bultrap. On the other hand, it doesn't look like Bitcoin will hit 47k soon and such price is the only means other altcoins can hit a good price that will be profitable for traders in the market. But, I still hold my eth and bch tight because they are following the trend immediately once Bitcoin hits a good price eth does as well.
2937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is available on NO KYC Crypton Exchange on: February 05, 2022, 09:41:49 PM
They are lots of KYC on centralized exchange which I don't find conducive for a decentralized currency. The decentralized exchanges like OKEX that I make use of require nothing like that just that every platform must have it problem, stopped using Okex because of the newly integrated rule that a user's wallet address must begin with a domain name (customized). Sending out KYC is not safe but, on trusted platforms where hackers cannot penetrate easily is still recommended. I think people should just trade and then move their funds to a decentralized wallet where their funds will be safer
2938  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Binance action revitalize Nigeria community? on: February 05, 2022, 09:15:49 PM
It's a tough experience for traders that locked their funds on Binance. The Nigeria government banned cryptocurrency to Fiat transaction. That is linking your bank account to any cryptocurrency exchange or wallet and withraw directly to your bank account. And they is no other possible means of banning the peer to peer kind of trading in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government make money from bureucrats by selling dollars at a higher rate to them through the central bank of Nigeria. So the average Nigerian buy dollar at a very high rate, therefore the cryptocurrency method of getting dollar and changing it to Nigerian currency has made alot of Nigerians to forget the bureau de changers and trade peer to peer since they see more profits because they sell the Bitcoin at a good rate.

I have noticed that the government don't prefer it when citizens have a way out to getting things like dollars and they cannot regulate it. Therefore, the freezing of some Nigerians account on Binance could be one of the tricks the government want to integrate to help regulate a good number of Nigerian cryptocurrency traders by rending some people to go back to the local bureau the changers to boost the dollar market in Nigeria.

Fraudulent activities happen everywhere and it's not a strong reason to freeze people's account without any warning. I think their Government concealed their intentions such that Binance will see a reason to accept the offer of freezing some Nigerian accounts.
2939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poverty is here on: February 05, 2022, 08:42:31 PM
Currency have no impact in the elimination of poverty. In the times of gold people were poor, dollar came in and everyone submitted their golds poverty still persisted. So, if Xlm like you said is integrated as another world wide acceptable currency poverty will still be around the corner.

The bad part of the poor people is that most of them are stingy with the little they have. They find it difficult to give arms they think they are too poor to be of help to the next man.

The moment alot of humans realize that investing on people is a good investment they would be an increase in the number of rich people in the world. Some poor people are not ready to help anybody which makes them poorer.

Finally, giving is the only way out of poverty not currency.
2940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency in Africa on: February 05, 2022, 08:25:13 PM
Africa is a continent that have a good number of tech savvy people and because of the nature of the continent most countries in Africa experience bad governance. And the only way they can get out of the dangling economy is to embrace the internet and make money through trading goods and services online.

I have met alot of cryptocurrency traders online who are from Nigeria. They have good knowledge of how the market works despite the fact that some countries in African like Nigeria cannot boost of 24hrs electricity they still find a way to wax their trading online and staying relevant in the digital world.
