It's ok I understand. People are concerned and we as a Bitcoin community world wide has been burned by scams and disasters like Gox and BFL along with others.
GAW is doing something new and that has some people excited and others upset and afraid of another huge scam and disaster. We all have worries and the next several weeks will show if GAW can do it or not. We will have more info on just want the deal is or is not with retailers, we will see if they can get their debit card and bill pay going. If they do it will be good if not we will see why. There are many companies trying similar things even ZeusMiner stopped making hardware to focus on the cloud and their payment system. We are seeing an evolution in Bitcoin and the industry with many players doing all sorts of stuff. It is exciting and nerve raking as there is real money involved and peoples lives.
We as a community need to support each other and at times agree to disagree and move on from there.
I promise you if I find hard evidence GAW is a scam I will get the news out ASAP. I am looking at things people are worried about and I ask more and more difficult questions of GAW and others. So far there are some rumors and flags but also some things that have moved forward and a huge community that supports them for better or worse. That is what all coins want and need are committed communities. That is what gives them value and gets them used.
Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies are the cusp of another evolution of how we interact with each other and have a monetary system backed by the faith of people and not governments who do not always have our best interests in mind. Bitcoin is changing things and I think for the better.
I am excited about what was started in 2009 and want to see where were are in 3009.

The fact of the matter is that Josh Garza and his company GAW repeatedly lie about everything, all day, every day, with reams of direct evidence showing so. The guy can not even complete a sentence without contradicting himself. And your readers are supposed to believe that you are an actual reporter and you can not find hard evidence? Case in point:  There was a massive security breach with Paybase that allowed thousands of people to directly access other people's accounts showing balances and giving detailed information about the account holder. You reported it was "static data of customer sessions" and that "No coins or Private data was lost" . That sir is not bad journalism, that is an outright lie. Balances and account holder information is definitely private data, and I am certain you are well aware that anonymity for many people investing in crypto currencies is paramount. Did you previously work for the NSA where they record every telephone call people make and then call it "meta data" or what? That report was a total disgrace, and the fact that you will lie directly to people's face's means that you have no respect for them and think they are fools that will believe whatever you write. Well, you can count me out of the group. And then the fact that the powder puff bullshit "article" (GAW press release) is framed by GAW ads completely shreds any amount of credibility that someone might still mistakenly have for you. Quite a few sold XPY for $20. Every single example of this I have heard thus far was for relatively small quantities though. We know that a bunch of huge buys occurred, who were they that made 10s or 100s of thousands of $ in seconds?? THOSE are the people who had the inside information.
For the record, I sold 500 XPY on day one when HP convert to XPY at $6. After that I have no sold a single coin. Not even for $20. Had I known thought, I may have sold a few.  That is a fascinating story, and it is either true or false and there is no way to prove which, so why are you telling us? |

I has been pumped once, for about 5 minutes. All kinds of fishy tales about how people had their trades get skipped over and such while the GAW $20 buy happened. Maybe that was just system overload, but there is no denying that a select few knew exactly when that buy was going to occur and once it was over the window closed and no one else got the free HamBurgerZ. Hey I got the $20 and I didn't know shit, i was on Pay Base checking that coins transferred, they did price was $20.06 I sold as quick as I could, stupid me though reinvested at 14.00 However have now closed that position so still go an average of $15.00 Quite a few sold XPY for $20. Found it  Ask someone like Volder. I don't buy for one second that he is just buying up large quantities of XPY , while bullhorning loudly to everyone at HT that he is doing so, because he is an extreme risk taker and has faith that Paycoin will be a success. He is clearly not that stupid, therefore there is another answer. My guess is that there will be more purchases by GAW, and those that know when these are going to occur get to cash in while all the people playing follow the leader end up holding the bag after the buy window closes after a short period. You can not perform a proper (and remotely legal) pump & dump scheme using only insiders, you have to have some credible investors who are at least "technically" outside of the organization help get the frenzy going. |

VS an exchange which the order may take place at different pricing. When you place an order with paybase you lay the same amount, even if the order is too big and the price moves up while it filling. Wow it's incredible the number of hate comments in this thread. I'm honestly curious as to why you guys are ganging up on GAW like that and don't just say it's a scam/ponzi, you have to have hard evidence before pointing the finger. Also if it is a scam, how do you guys expect Josh to get away with the stolen money when all his details and company details are known? GAW is a registered business, he would have nowhere to hide and cops would soon be knocking on his door. One more thing I don't really understand, usually if I don't like a coin/project for whatever reason, I'd just forget the thing even exists and move on, I certainly wouldn't set out to destroy the coin.
There are more than 500 pages explaining in great detail why Paycoin is a scam and the most likely ways it is being pulled off, predicting with great accuracy each and every step of the scam along the way. If you are not aware of how and why people steal money through the use of corporations you are either a child or absolute moron. I hate to admit it but this has gone badly, I was one of the few lucky ones who did snap up the $20.06 on offer through pay base, however I was stupid enough to reinvest. I am closing out the position and will still get an average price of $15. However I am now seeing this for what it is and that is just another alt coin, everything you can do in Pay Base once on line I can already do in one format or another here in Australia with BTC.
As for the hash stakers all of mine were converted hashlets as there was no point in keeping an investment that was never going to win, the premier account doesn't do anything for me as I am in Australia and most of the features will be US based, as Josh is trying to ensure everything he does is within the law only US citizens will be able to get a debit card.
Hashstakers are already a dead investment, if you bought a staker you have no chance of a ROI at $9.00 per coin. The converted ones will only miss the opportunity to sell their coins as the market is dying.
With only 1.4 million dollars in trade yesterday Josh should of been able to keep a $20 floor in place but chose not to, in fact had of Josh put and kept a $20 floor in place the markets would now be trading at around the same level.
So I now find myself asking what has happened to the supposed 100 million fiat, and the 10 million in BTC mined (as stated in the WJS article), the 10 million in BTC alone should have held a floor price.
I have been a semi supporter of GAW but now find the lies are to far fetched for me, I actually think LTC gear has more chance of paying me this week then I have in seeing the $20 floor price again.
So I must say I now think that most people here are right and I was probably wrong.
