2921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: First contest of the year on: January 04, 2022, 03:08:55 AM
There is no problem with the contest itself, a lot of crypto online gambling websites have their own contest too.

But as you can see, the reputation of the said platform that you are promoting has been tainted for many years that smart gamblers here are not going to even register or try to deposit because of the so many accusations against them. Would rather join other contest though, just saying.
2922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 04, 2022, 02:23:34 AM
There was no reassurance made by President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador. He was just predicting just like everyone else. I am also predicting that Bitcoin will finally reach $100,000 in 2022. That could be wrong. Both of us could be wrong. All of us could be wrong. But it is always better to predict with optimism than predict with pessimism. During the bullish weeks of the 4th quarter of 2021, people really thought Bitcoin could reach $100,000 before the year ends. There was no wrong with that. The only wrong thing is that there were some people who did not cooperate and sold instead of hodled.

I think him and his country heavily on bitcoin, you really have to understand where his prediction his coming from. Maybe he wanted the investors to wake up again and pour some money on the market to make a good price at around $50k. However, we are now entering a delicate phase of a bear market unfortunately. Maybe it was a good time to accumulate again just like the President Nayib Bukele, but seeing a 6 digit this year might not be possible.
2923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 04, 2022, 02:08:30 AM
And Tsitsipas is beaten by Schwartzman, I didnt realise that Tsitsipas had an ebow
operation, its possible he is not just 100%.

I have to start betting on sets too as well as outright wins, It might help my win/loss
ratio and to make gains this year.

I always avoid betting right at the very start of the season. Players have had a few weeks off, and need a bit of time to get back to 100% even if they're not carrying injuries. Some will be a bit fitter than others, and tennis matches often hinge on fine margins.

Me too, I was not aware by Tsitsipas has an injury that got operated, and Schwartzman? Lol, this dude is very inconsistent last year that it was good money to beat against hi if he is the favourite.

I haven't bet though, well I also bet at the start of the season just to get a good leverage.

But I will take notice of this kind of injuries to top player, it will definitely have a effect on them.
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 03, 2022, 05:45:36 PM
Miami Heat lost at the last position to Sacramento Kings, while missing 11 players. They fought hard considering that much of a missing players and the rookie Omer Yurtseven had a big night with 22 points 16 rebounds including 6 offensive reb. But Sacramento held on at the last minute. Thus, Miami is 23-14, .622. I really wonder where will they be in the playoffs and how far can they go.
There's still plenty of time, the Miami Heat will eventually find a way to win and to stay in the playoffs spot. For sure they will not allow to miss the playoffs and with the ongoing health protocol impose in all teams I guess, they are not the only ones who are affect, other teams as well, so just relax, they'll bonce back for sure.
Yes, don't get me wrong, Miami Heat is one of my top championship contenders and actually the team I am rooting for. Of course I also reckon they will bounce back stronger and can do much better. I merely said I am just wondering how far they can go. Conference finals? NBA Finals? I find Bucks are their biggest rivals in the east. I also hope until the playoffs the corona situation everywhere gets better and we will be able to watch some good ol' playoffs with crowds.
If they remain healthy throughout playoffs then maybe they could contend again. But it's going to be difficult as there a lot of good team, not just the Bucks, but we have the Nets and the Bulls or even the Sixers that they have to and past in the playoffs.

So I would say maybe second round and depends on the team that they are going to face. And it's going to be close. Oh, we still have the Hawks who last year was one of the biggest surprised last year.
2925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 03, 2022, 05:10:44 PM
Ok let's not talk about Manny here, we all know that he has hang his gloves and he already accepted his losses to Ugas.

And it's good to see that the supposedly opponent of Manny that time, Spence will go on the ring again. So it's a battle as to who will be the best in the division. Unless Crawford has a say to it, I consider Spence to be the best and then followed by Ugas just because of his strength of winning against Pacquiao.
2926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 01, 2022, 04:59:02 PM
That's a big prediction against Emma, does Pam saying that she is just a one hit wonder? (well this was the case in women's side though, there are some who after winning a grand slam suddenly drops out of the top 10 and was never the top player they are).

But we can see that after the changes coach, her game has deteriorated. But we will have to see, hopefully she can still compose herself and still be like the player that suddenly break into the limelight last year specially winning the US Open.

That are strong words from Pam Shriver but as you say, we will need to wait and see how Raducanu continues to develop this year. She struggled in the tournaments after her US Open as there was a lot more pressure on her (before she was always in the underdog position). Changing her coach was maybe not the best idea, but only time will tell.
I agree, the pressure could be too much to handle for a teenager that's why she completely falter in every tournament after the US open because everyone is looking at her at every angle.

Not sure about the changing of the coach, I read that he was just there to accompany Emma for the tournament and could not be really define as a coach. Anyhow yeah, hopefully she can still have the mentality to be the next women's top seed, who knows.
2927  Economy / Speculation / Re: New year new speculation on: January 01, 2022, 04:12:30 PM
A dawn of a new year is here we must have drafted new ATH for our various crypto currency stocked in our various wallets. It would be nice we share down our expectations so as it serve as an investment guide to many who might not have the chance to study chats or for investors who can't interpret chats. For you which coin are you expecting to go massively high and what strategy are you using
I guess still the same for almost everyone else, hoping that bitcoin will still have a massive bull run and get into that 6 digits that we all have wanting to achieved.

However, as I have said before, it seems to me that all indication is pointing that a imminent bearish market is going to come this 2022, so that's my expectations. Although is sounds very negative, but I think at least we should all be prepared to see the worst after hitting 2x all time high in 2021.
2928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: crypto that reward security? on: January 01, 2022, 03:38:18 PM
i heard about a crypto project that rewards hacking capabilities and bug finding

sorry but i dont have much more to add

anyone can help naming this project? tks
True, and most projects are offering this kind of reward system and for sure you know why they are doing this, to see the security flaws in their system before black hacker does. But in any case, hackers are really smart and it seems that they are one step of the game.

But as far as what project, as I have said there are plenty, so I guess you really have to check everything out. Hopefully the project itself will post it here, but if not they you have to do the leg work by finding it yourself.
2929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about lottery? on: January 01, 2022, 03:03:50 PM
Statistics has shown that winning a lottery is like 1 is to 200-300 million. So that is a long shot already. But why are there several people who not only won once, but many times already? Well, my simply answer is that they are extremely lucky and they stick to one numbers that they have been betting for the rest of their natural life. Of course, everyone can buy a ticket, but the odds are pretty much against you, just saying.
2930  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN 🌊 PRICE TARGETS 🎯 on: January 01, 2022, 01:47:05 PM
for now, their target is still at $100k and it is still in the process of getting there.
I don't think this will be a long time to reach for $100k but maybe this is in the short term but for the long term I can't say what their target is because considering their adoption every year is always increasing and this indirectly pushes them to better price again and again

On the contrary, I believed that $100k won't be surpassed this 2022, I have a feeling that we are already in a bear market. So for that price to be hit, we should be in a bull run. So maybe we can see the price trading sideways at the start of 2022 and no clear path, of course there is a break out run, but it could also be in the other direction. A path to $30k-$40k. But for long term holders this is good as they can accumulate again. And as one said, his goal is to hit 1 BTC so let everyone try to get that in their wallet.
2931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A different December indeed on: December 31, 2021, 06:54:52 PM
There is a ton of pressure now that institutions are holding large amounts of crypto and VCs are pumping money into projects. Combine that with there being options and futures available now on Bitcoin and you have a market that is a bit more manipulated. You have over $6 billion worth of options expiring today with a maximum pain price for Friday’s option expiration at $48,000, which is the strike price with the most open options contracts. In other words, $48,000 is a strike price that would cause losses for the majority of options holders at expiration.  Like clockwork, BTC is hovering right around 48k and will likely all day. Next week is when we can expect to see a move in one way or another.
OK, thanks for bringing this up, I totally forget the bitcoin expirations, that's why it was pump to $48k and then suddenly goes down to $46k in the last couple of hours. And you are right usually before the expiration, prices tends to go down obviously. But there is a good case that the price might pick up again next week as usually the first week of the year are very bullish in the last 4 years.
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your perspective on a new casino on: December 31, 2021, 06:00:59 PM
Perhaps it's better to wait and see how good or bad a new casino is. Which means let others try to make a decent review about it and then see how it goes. I have the same mentality as others, why break the trend of playing on your favorite casino that has established a good reputation here in the community than risking and try a new one? Doesn't make sense if you are either a small or big time gamblers.
2933  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID has driven Americans to bank $1.6 TRILLION in savings on: December 31, 2021, 04:29:02 PM

Wouldn't it be so much better if consumers bought up inflation protected assets, rather than placing their savings in low interest rate accounts for that period. Bitcoin's value grew dramatically in 2021. Could a portion of that growth be attributed to consumers and retail investors placing savings in bitcoin, gold or silver?

If people had such kind of awareness they should thrown away their fiat and want the gold or barter system back as the medium of exchange but they never acknowledges their money is losing its value and I don't know how many people understand what is inflation in this world no matter wither its a developed or developing nation.
If that is the case then are we also getting closer to the adoption, or just that bitcoin becoming a hedge to economic and financial woes we've experience since the covid-19 hit us. And maybe yeah, it could be part of the savings have been in bitcoin and then majority of them withdrawing during the peak at around $60k'ish that's why the sudden downturn specially that it happen close to the holidays, (thanks giving, christmas and new year). As for the economy recovering, I doubt that it can recover what we have lost though, it might take years for an ordinary business to recoup what they've lost and some of them even closes their business already.
2934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 31, 2021, 03:18:05 PM

Let's talk about the potential Inoue vs Casimero fight after this fight, if Casimero will be successful, there's no other fight that would fit him than Inoue, so as a fan, we should expect that the mega-fight we are waiting for will happen and as what the odds suggest, Casimero is an underdog so I like that much.

We've been talking about that a lot this year, and it looks like we always believe that Casimero will win in every fight so he would have a chance to fight Inoue. Against Rigo, I thought that was a tough fight for Casimero but it doesn't look like a real competition as Rigo is just running around to score, unfortunately for him, he still loses the fight, but here, Butler is a warrior so these two warriors will go toe to toe which makes it interesting.
Style makes fights, and Rigo style doesn't suit Casimero that's why we didn't see his strength as a knock out artist. And others says that Casimero has a poor performance, but then again, Rigo doesn't want to engage so what can he do? As for a potential Inoue clash, all depends on the fight with Butler, as this is most likely to happen, Casimero should score a knock out, call Inoue again.
2935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: December 31, 2021, 01:11:20 PM
What I want to say is, what are the expectations for 2022 regarding Bitcoin's existence? And you have the right to say so here. Your expectations, and what you have not achieved when interacting with Bitcoin. Include it in this thread, for us to re-evaluate at the end of 2022 with the same date, but with your situation much better than now.
There is always hope to see bitcoin better from various aspects ranging from adoption and also regarding pricing issues. In the short term there may not be major changes in either price or adoption, so we can still expect all of that in the longer term. 2021 went by so quickly that we left a trail of ATH and the national adoption of bitcoin in El Salvador as their primary currency, which is something that is highly expected to increase in 2022 and beyond.

Regarding the price issue, I think anything is still possible but we will never again see a price drop below $10K in 2022. So $20K to $100K in 2022 is a prediction I hope bitcoin can achieve.
Well I remember those days when we hit all time high in 2017 and people are saying that we will not see $10k, but alas, we even hit $3k just a year ago (March because of Covid-19) so we can't really say that x price is not going to be see again. The same that we thought $100k could be touch this year, it wasn't meant to be as the S2F model was busted big time. And I would say that $100k might not a dream for now, as I don't see it being remotely hit next year as again I have said before, we could be in a bear market.
2936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 31, 2021, 12:03:55 PM
So the NBA journey of IT with the Lakers is over, but now he have a new home as he is signed for a 10 day contract with the Dallas Mavericks.

Here's the full story.

https://www.nba.com/news/mavericks-sign-isaiah-thomas-to-10-day-contract

Quote
The Dallas Mavericks added former All-Star guard Isaiah Thomas to their roster on Wednesday via a 10-day contract under the NBA’s COVID-related hardship allowance. He arrived just in time to suit up for the Mavs in their 95-94 road loss to the Sacramento Kings.

So what do you think about this news, will he finally have a long term contract after this 10 day contract will expire?

Unless he really shows his prime years during his Celtics days, then maybe a team will finally give him at least a contract for this season. However with the Lakers, he just shows some glimpse of his former self and I'm not sure how big his numbers but he didn't contribute that much. But it's good to hear him joining another team and extended his NBA experience because of Covid, but I don't think that he will remain in the league.
2937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 30, 2021, 03:15:00 PM
Unfortunately, it is what it is, and yes, no need to change the venue of the fight. The promoters have invested their money already here. And they are not going to just move the venue somewhere else because it will involved another set of money that they can't recoup.

I'm not really sure who set up this fight and why in Japan, I reckon the deal was brokered by Murata's manager that's why it will be held in their country. Nonetheless, it's a good choice because Japanese loves their boxers as they think of them as national hero's too. But as you have said, their government has really to do this measures not to allow any sporting events in their country to prevent the spread of the new Covid-19 variant so the fight should wait a bit.
I think it's part of GGG's Big Drama show showcase his fights anywhere across the globe like his recent fights that was held at O2 in London and Madison Square Garden in New York, and since they have their own GGG promotions with the help of Teiken Promotions which concluded the fight to be held at Saitama Super Arena in Japan. And as usual, this fight will be packed by crowd knowing that this will be a huge fight for the Japanese people.
Right, but recently, there is a supposedly fight in Japan, that was scraped already. And instead the fighter will face fellow a Japanese. So still the ball is in GGG here if he wanted to proceed with the fight or look for a different opponent because they don't know what will be the nature of the Japanese government or when will they allow foreigners to enter their country again. And Murata can still fight but it will be all Japanese if they really wanted him to be a busy boxer.
2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 30, 2021, 02:41:06 PM
I'll take the Phoenix Suns vs OKC if OKC can take a small lead in the first quarter. Suns -14.5 is just too much for me, I'd like to cut it a little bit if possible.

So your bet here is Suns -14.5 or OKC +14.5? I think even if OKC can take a lead in the 1st quarter the Suns can still come back and beat them in the remaining quarters. In some games the Suns even beat their opponent by 15 points in just one quarter, so for me, -14.5 is not too much for the Suns who would likely dominant the OKC.
Take note though that the Suns is without DA and Jae Crowder. And OKC is playing very hard in their last five games. So I would say that +14.5 will be a good bet. If the Suns are going to win, I'm going to say that it might be just by 12 points or less.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) is really playing good in the last week and If I'm not mistaken, winner of player of the week. So this is going to be a close game. Suns taking a big lead and then OKC going to cut it back in the 4th.

Great to notice the performances of OKC, Gilgeous-Alexander is doing his best to bring his team up.

Though Sun has the capabilities to win with a huge margin, it's tough call, especially with handicap even DA and Crowder is not
there, Suns coach always has the right back up to play the role.

It's another tough game for OKC, Sun's came from a back-to-back losses, they need to be back in a winning rhythm, let see
if how OKC will handle this game.
Unfortunately, SGA didn't play in this game against the Suns. But still they played good and and I even bet live game but unfortunately I've lost.

Booker really close out the game for OKC, he scored 38 points and yeah shooting at will and scoring whenever he wants.

Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors tomorrow. I think the Warriors will try to avenge their lost and will avoid back to back losses.
2939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 30, 2021, 12:36:17 PM

Some boxing enthusiasts said that Ugas instead should pick Keith Thurman first before jumping to Spence Jr. The reason is, Ugas has a chance to make another big paycheck before fighting Spence as the majority thinks that he can deal with Thurman as he was able to defeat Manny Pacquiao.

Ugas is not after just a big paycheck he takes an opportunity when presented, it was offered to him and of course, he will not hesitate to go for it, and it's a speculation that he can beat Thurman en route to Spence so he'll go for the big fish right away, Ugas made the right decision to go for the big fish and just make a preparation, it's like winning a lottery if he wins against Spence.
Remember that he has a belt as well and full of confidence against his win against Manny Pacquiao. And this opportunity presented itself to him, so most likely he will take it and proved that he is in the top 3 in the weight class. And speaking of Thurman, he is coming back so it will be fun to see those 4 fighting against each other and see who is the best.
2940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: December 30, 2021, 11:56:46 AM
When basic technologies such as AR and VR are not yet mature, are all the metaverse projects in the market a bubble?

Can $SAND $MANA still be invested?
So far, SAND and MANA are still good to choose as good investments because from their development you can still see that both teams are serious about developing their products so that they will be even better next year and also in the future.
Not sure about that as both $SAND $MANA could have reach the bubble just saying. But as far as Metaverse itself, it's not, there could be more projects coming in the horizon that can really put the name of Metaverse on top as the next hype in crypto space.

So for me, it will still continue it's way to 2022 and could produce more hype and obviously, more money for investors specially the early bagholders.
