In case my computer crashes? Or should i just make a backup of my Bitcoin QT client?
Also, if you are using bitcoin-qt, it is important to note that you have 100 addresses, and not just 1. By 100 addresses do you mean 100 private keys? 100 public addresses? Why would i have 100 private keys? Is the private key like my bank accout number? Why would i need 100 bank account numbers? YES, i'm lost. No you don't need 100 address and Your wallet.dat is like your bank account Your public key is like your bank account number Your private key is like your bank accounts password.

If you are using bitcoin-qt
You just need to backup wallet.dat somewhere which you can find in this directory. C:\Users\*user's name*\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin
If you have encrypted your wallet, make sure to remember password or save it offline in some diary etc.
If you are using electrum,
you need to remember pass phrase and backup your wallet. C:\Users\*user's name*\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\electrum.dat
and please make sure you save backup on a safe place,if someone got access to your wallet.dat he can steal your bitcoins, if wallet is not encrypted.

As ciyam said if you are taking automatic payments, wait for atleast 1-6 confirmations, If you are taking manual payments, you can check senders bitcoin address if he did double spend or not.

Im having a similar issue. I was going to make my own thread but not sure how. My client has been out of sync since last night been running non stop for about 18 hours and still wont sync. It says 3 hours behind and it says 239742 has been processed the same amount it should have according to this http://blockexplorer.com/q/getblockcount Any idea whats going on here? I'm not sure it will help or not but try to use -reindex command. Make a shortcut and put command and then run it. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Ffe8NhuY.png&t=663&c=s94lDEfLWsq-aw)

Matonis never disappoints, the guy really knows how to hit the right points.
Well yeah his points are correct and libertyreserve was a really nice payment processor, If ebay and amazon were not backing paypal, it could have become no.1 payment processor in some years. No chargebacks Multiple layers of security and tons of other benefits.

That's great, One tip, add a affiliate system it will help you to grow your customer base. and you can use voucher option as an "extra" it will also help to gain more money.
For ex: If someone wants to buy a 3700 or 4100 rupee thing and he don't want to give his address etc, He will probably buy a 5k worth gc.

Yes indeed.. you guys need to lower the margin here because the cost of stuff we are buying via you will increase and hence the trade wont be profitable.. consider lowering your profit rates for some time and then once you gain momentum maybe increasing it (A bit of course)
Yep and OP can use discount codes too (jabong/yebhi/snapdeal) to get some more profit. Ps: People will still prefer Gift voucher (Which you are not giving) instead of giving their Full details to you.

Hi all,
This may be a bit of a newbie question, but I've looked around here and did not find a clear answer to this.
I've got a receiving address at blockchain.info. Now I want to use a local wallet because I think it's safer. However I need this receiving address to receive payments. I'm using Armory as wallet manager and I have found the feature to import an address through a private key.
My question is: if I import the address this way, is it bound to my local wallet and can I discard my blockchain.info account and keep using the address?
Answer is yes, just make sure you delete your blockchain account and no one except you have access to priv key.

Sad to see you getting scammed bro, if he got hacked, it's still his fault. He should keep his account secure and as he's admin of GLDtalk he should atleast give you goldcoins and finish this dispute.
