@endoffiat
i remember it now.
you are right, weird policy of them to punish users for mistakes and to refuse to help if they could.

so it's more than 10+M DOGED already lost in the C-CEX graveyard.

i was playing a bit devil's advocate and tried to find a good reason for 0.5btc charges but damn. this is mean.

exchanges go more and more overboard with their F* YOU attitudes...

2923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BANKSYCOIN OFFICIAL LAUNCH # NEW CRYPTO COIN on: December 12, 2014, 03:31:46 PM
lol let's see what we get if we cross titties x banksy...

lot's of tittie art i guess?

anyway, it has been really quiet here. hope something happens - it would be a shame to let this coin die.
2924  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: December 12, 2014, 03:07:09 PM
I see reference to permalinks in this thread but I can't seems to confirm if they are working? I'm trying to share a map of my local city with the community showing our available locations without them having to use geolocation. Is this feature available? How can I get a URL that shows the local city?
good question. i would like to know as well if that is possible to display a country or city by default.

Well I got the final answer from C-Cex. They refuse to budge. Here is their last response:

2014-12-12 05:42:49 C-CEX support
0.5 BTC is a fee I have to pay to technitian for stopping 2 daemons, setting them on maintenance on exchange, extracting keys, importing keys, running both again, checking sync, activating them on exchange, testing. It is not about wallets on normal computer. It is exchange and everyting is much more complicated.

So I guess I will no longer use/recommend them.

I'm not quite understand but..
Do they really need to stopping the daemons and put their exchange into maintenance mode to obtain a single private key?

Nice system you got there, C-CEX..

sounds like they lose tons of money any time they have to fix a problem. reaaalllyyy??? Wink
i would like to hear more about the hidden costs of running an exchange and how much those greedy "technitians" charge for fighting the daemons.

+1 for the dev indeed.
one more reason to stay in the DOGED camp.

so far i lol'd. sorry Tongue
just waiting for c-cex to tell us the end of the story.

2928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGED] DogeCoinDark [POD] - Scrypt - Global Darknet is LIVE! UNTRACEABLE! on: December 11, 2014, 11:56:48 PM
it is amusing and unfortunate at the same time.

we are living a bit in a fantasy world - $0.40 is worth $160... but then maybe $160 is also worth 2M DOGED?
Cheesy

well, they don't really have to do that, you don't pay any membership or have any guarantee to get your "money back". and probably that pool is indeed more interesting than some lost DOGED.

i would just pretend they made a mistake and offer to pay $16 for the technician and his time.

if DOGED ever goes up to ~60 satoshi like DOGE you would be glad you invested in the rescue of your coins.

Tongue

keep us posted - it is a weird story!

(and if you are just trolling, i admit you got me)

I'm very unhappy with the C-Cex exchange!

Type: Deposit
Subject: sent to wrong coin

2014-12-10 08:29:00 JPxxxx
Darn It!

I feel really stupid! I meant to send 2M DOGED to my DOGED account on C-Cex. I accidentally sent the funds to my DOGE account and hit the wrong address button! Can you correct the error and put the funds in my DOGED account? Please advise! 2M is a lot of coin to lose!

2014-12-11 02:42:47 JPUnix
Has there been any movement on this? I'm very worried about 2 million DOGED that I can't recover. Please advise. Is it lost or can it be recovered?
2014-12-11 05:53:50 C-CEX support
Hello! Theoretically it is possible to extract private keys from our doge wallet and put them into doged wallet. But this require our technitian time and will cost us 0.5 BTC.

So they want to extort .5 BTC out of me to move 2M DOGED. In what world does this make sense?

in a world where people have to pay rent and get paid in btc - perhaps?
Tongue

you are paying someone to help you get it back. it was your own fault so you probably have not much right to claim it. it is a favour.

the more difficult the job the more skilled this person has to be.
also the more time it would take. so it is also more expensive to get someone to do it.

i guess the staff at c-cex get paid in BTC.
0.5btc is currently ca. 160USD...

and now tell me, how much would you charge to do such a job in USD?

maybe you can negotiate.

Wink

more interestingly,
0.5btc = 2,000,000 (DOGED) x 0.00000025 (BTC)
---> is that a c-cex price prediction?

I am the lead Dev for Tittiecoin,

I figured if I contact them through my trusted account I have a better chance of making contact since I'm interested in this coin, and want to help take it to the next level and also hold a considerable amount of the coin myself.

I have contacted them but I have had not response.

PM sent.
2931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BANKSYCOIN OFFICIAL LAUNCH # NEW CRYPTO COIN on: December 11, 2014, 09:25:21 PM
Who is the owner of this thread and coin?

I need to speak to the Dev of the coin and whoever is running the domains/social/website/officialpool/blockexplorer and the rest of it please!

Thanks

Ricky

may i ask why you seem to be interested in banksycoin? you are in charge of tittiecoin?

i am not the dev, but have been in touch with both - the original dev and the 2nd dev team who took over some time ago.

at the moment they are very quiet, busy developing the next version or playing dead i don't know. Tongue

maybe try to send a PM to the OP to get a response.

We shall have (a) ACreativity Dashboard to help Us decide what we want for our beloved Asiacoin , I say  Grin

Here is one good idea we should look into , and find developers interested to implement a version into our AC Code :: asap ::

Worldcoin's Securities Exchange code open sourced submitted about a month ago https://github.com/bels/wse

An exchange that would allow people to list different types of securities ( stock , bond ) . It is stable enough now for others in the community to play with . If you find a bug or have a suggestion please let the author know by using the " Issues " area of the github page . If you have any questions please ask . If you decide to use this code to start an exchange you do not owe the author anything nor is he liable for anything . It is currently setup to give an adjustable percentage of each company created to the host of the exchange , so , when they issue dividends , you would also get dividends or you could just sell your shares for you to make money .

Current Features :
Creating Virtual Companies — Depositing/Withdrawing WDC — Trading Securities —
Posting Notes & News about your virtual company — Graphing past trades — Issuing dividends

What do you think ? Please , feel free to participate in the creative process , it may prove rewarding in so many ways … Roll Eyes
Better to focus on the wallet development and getting some retailers who are willing to accept Asiacoin first. AC, like any other altcoin, is worthless unless people can buy something with it. Given that coinpayments delisted AsiaCoin. We lost that bit of edge there. It is important to have developers who can further develop the wallet to push through the POS schedule to reduce the amount of AC flowing into the market.

you can use asiacoin for instance on bidcoind.com.

we could also ask if bitcoincommodities.com would accept AC.

last but not least, i would also accept AC for graphic design and translation services.
Maybe you can link us to your portfolio and provide some ballpark figures for graphics work?

please check the link in my signature. i don't charge general fees, it depends on the job. you can pm me for a quote. cheers!

What got me interested in this coin was it's potential as a vehicle for selling my photography.  Unfortunately in this fast-paced scene and what with my own health problems, I wasn't able to load up that still there and very well put together art site.

I'm offering up all my work at full-size for any promotion and commercial use, but I'll need some help, direction, use me.

This is no small thing.  I'll say with full confidence that I Am Fucking Good.  Really Good.

This is only scratching the surface.  PM me for the password to the full-size print directory.  I also have a lot on Google Drive that I've got to set up and sort.

I don't just photograph... I paint, the camera is my brush.

hi - where do you need help?

Hello community, I missed a "hello" here.  Cheesy

This is Joe from Magi (XMG). I've been talking with Jackie about being dev, and I'm glad to be a part of the dev team. GroestlCoin is a great coin and it should be as is. Though I am yet to have ideas/plans, but I'd stay and provide support as possible as I can. It's a bit unfortunate that I have to maintain magi too that does spend me most of time right now; hopefully this is for now since it's a 'new' coin.

Please let me know any suggestions regarding GRS dev.

greetings and welcome in the world of groestlcoin. Smiley
i will check your coin now.

i bring up an old idea to hear your opinion: a social tab for the groestlcoin wallet:

i experimented a bit with the banksycoin source and managed to tweak the social tab form document in qt a little bit.
should we add this at some point, i personally would love to have it but i am not a pro-coder yet and don't know how and where to add the lines to add the IRC function.

in the source the irc function is linking to a couple of extra files which i haven't figured out 100% yet.
the forum / coin homepage and social icon links are just a bit of html code which can be changed in the form file in a couple of minutes.

so it was easy to do that (apart from IRC) when running it on the current banksycoin-qt.

@groestlcoin dev team
have you checked the code i added on github?
makes sense, no?

Hi!

i have checked it and it does make sense. Merged now, thank you !!
You can also address to joelao95 (dev of magi) as he is part of the groestlcoin dev team now also.

Best Regards,

Gruve_p
