2921  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to have a united world (With bitcoins) on: October 26, 2020, 06:36:56 PM
It's people who will unite the world and not a tool.
Bitcoin is simply a currency that can be used for every transaction that you want. Just like USD but upgraded. Way upgraded.

Even with a huge amount of people supporting it, there is no way a united world will come true if no one will step up.
It will be scary if suddenly Bitcoin will have its own intellect to unite us.
That just proves we are monkeys or worse.  Grin

Possible Reid, and CP3 is not getting any younger, they will have to invest a lot on a player that is not already at his peak.
I think Lakers would just stay with the current roster, of course, some will leave but as long as they have James and Davis, they will make the others better.

Indeed.
They actually have the best roleplayers around Lebron and Davis. Putting CP3 might be
Rondo, Green, KCP, Bradley, and Kuzma (I worry about this kid, he needs to step up.)
Bradley didn't play in the bubble but before that, he was known for his defense with the Lakers team.

I hope Rondo will just stay, there's a rumor that he will leave the team if he can find a better offer, he was really a big help for the Lakers to win a Championship last season because he was so genius when handing the ball and Lebron was able to play his game which is being aggressive while he is holding the ball.
I doubt Rondo would want out.
Even with a fair deal, if I am him I would take the offer.
He showcased something in the playoffs and he is getting more valuable despite his age.
I bet he is just trying to intimidate the Laker's management because of what he had done.
It's business after all.
2923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I don't know what to put in title on: October 26, 2020, 02:41:47 PM
No questions?
Bad experience, good lesson.
That's all you got for now.

But, it should never end like that next time.
Take out greed. Put in some efforts into DIY research. Dig deeper. It's a good story though. Thanks for sharing.
2924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most popular altcoins on Bitcointalk. Kind of. Probably not really. on: October 26, 2020, 08:15:49 AM
I don't really visit much of these ANN threads or if I did, I would just use the links provided to read directly to their websites.
So that only adds with views. But just like you said earlier, it cannot be determined for the year only.

Maybe, it is just a good way to determine the activity of the team behind it with their replies.
But also it cannot be sorted out that way and needs browsing to calculate it.
Thank you though for this great effort. Might as well check some ANN.
2925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 26, 2020, 05:42:45 AM
About the CP3 trade.
This could be the reason for it not to happen.
Or let us just say a lower percentage for it to come true even with James capability to push it through.
Quote
NBA rules state that, when trading for players that make as much money as Paul does, the acquiring team must send at least 80 percent of that salary back in the deal. Paul is set to make $41,358,814 next season, according to Spotrac. That means that the Lakers would need to send out $33,087,051. That is where this gets tough, because at present, the Lakers don't have that much salary on their books to trade. They currently have six players under contract for next season: LeBron James, Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, Quinn Cook, Alex Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker. They are awaiting official word on five player options as well: Anthony Davis, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Rajon Rondo are expected to opt-out, and are therefore untradeable, while Avery Bradley and JaVale McGee are expected to opt-in. That would make them tradeable.

It's a question of money.
Management would not risk so many good players to be released for him. No offense.
Then, if they did take CP3,  how much space will be left to fill the holes?
2926  Economy / Speculation / Re: how many Bitcoin do you need to live comfy in event of hyperinflation? on: October 25, 2020, 07:07:03 PM
It won't be enough if you are living in that country with hyperinflation.
Imagine exchanging 1 BTC for 100 million paper currency of that country without even having much of a value.

I think you are confused here.
Is this how you want it?
BTC to USD then USD to your country currency. Still not a win if you are buying everything for triple the price.
2927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 25, 2020, 06:10:24 PM
I'm wondering what's their projection in the coming season, despite this news, I'm hoping that NBA will survive and continue to provide us entertainment.
Strongly agree. Commercials will be their strongest weapon, for now, to still make profits out of the short game.
That loss from the support of the Chinese government is a huge one.
Then, no tickets, no VIP's, popcorn, hotdogs, and beers. Might look small, but combined will be a large amount.

Fans have their own respective qualification if we discuss abut being a goat, those younger generations who only seen how Kobe and LeBron played will put them to the discussions and consider them for this title, while older generations who seen how MJ took over in front of so many legends from his era and way back will consider him still as the GOAT .
I always like to think that Jordan is in the highest form of being a basketball player. He's a genius in that field.
But so does Kobe and Lebron.
Also, other players are different in their own ways which makes them awesome.
Steph, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, and more.
Those guys added some spice to NBA that cannot be taken away. They may not be GOAT's but they showcased greatness.
2928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why didn't PayPal decided to use xrp than Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2020, 11:58:59 AM
Love the haters.  Grin
Obviously, this is because you are an XRP supporter.
If I am one, I might do the same.

But let us just be happy for whatever they did by now. Maybe you could see your coin out there in a year or a couple.
Have you no other wishes than just be added with Paypal? There are more big companies out there.
2929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 25, 2020, 06:38:46 AM
Let's say e.g. Celtics get Rudy Gobert from Utah Jazz, Celtics could use a good center right now, that has a good number of rebounds per game. Something that current Celtics centers lack. An ideal center would also need a high number of assists per game but Gobert isn't much different from the current centers in that area.
I doubt they want that.
IMHO, the Celtics is already a complete team. They just need more polishing.
Tatum is not yet in his prime, he's still young and he is learning thru experience.
Kemba and Brown will just need to keep up that game and Smart is getting better in his defensive plays.
Putting Gobert might slow them down or changing the whole play which they're already used to.

Honestly, im a bit done with these MJ and LBJ comparison about greatness and stuff.Overall they are really have some difference and having their own ways.
I am too and even analysts are sick of it.
MJ is a GOAT in his era.
Kobe is also a GOAT in his own era.
So does Lebron James.

If we want comparisons, let's start with comparing players in the same prime.
Like, MJ and Barkley then Iverson or Kobe.
2930  Economy / Economics / Re: Today is the Way when world economy will show on: October 24, 2020, 06:00:54 PM
It's been six days and he is not back to bring the good news or whatever he has.
Dow is fighting back up. If Trump wins this one then it might even have a new record.

What are the (*) for?
I thought I'm going to believe you this time with your prediction.
But not yet. You can't hit the right mark. Anyway, it's good to have this kind of analysis. Maybe someday one of those predictions will come true.
In 10-20 years maybe?
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 24, 2020, 03:23:36 PM
If this is going to happen, Lakers will surely be a hard team to beat, no doubt they will win a back to back championship or even a 3-peat.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/chris-paul-trade-rumors-how-a-dec-22-start-date-for-new-nba-season-could-prevent-a-possible-lakers-deal/
"Chris Paul trade rumors: How a Dec. 22 start date for new NBA season could prevent a possible Lakers deal"

Lebron wants to make his team unbeatable, so this could happen. Rate it's possibility.

That's Lebron we are talking about. I guess he is one of the players out there that could pull some strings just to get what he wants.
Besides, this will also be for the Lakers team and I bet the management will agree with it since LBJ already gave them another championship.
Let's say it could be the gift for that win.

With CP3 in Lakers? No problem. They stretched their chemistry that we didn't expect.
Most of them in Lakers have just arrived and still, they took the trophy.
For me, it's a good move if they can snatch him.
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 24, 2020, 10:45:30 AM
What comes to my mind immediately if it was regulated for sure it would require to conduct a KYC which would violated on what most of us like which is Anonymity but we can't blame the government since I think they're just doing this to have some extra source of fund to sustain their economy due to this pandemic.

Yes, my first thought also.
It's okay if it will help. But not, if it will just go to the government officials' pocket.
This will be a discussion about trust. Will they really give the accumulated taxes to the people?
But according to regulation, they must comply especially if their gambling base is in a strict country.
It's a win for the government but I doubt it will be for the customers.  Grin

I am just assuming and my opinion could be biased being a gambler.  Wink

Calculating it, the bounty rewards are not even that large.
I don't really understand why owners of DeFi or ICO are still trying to pay them with their coins in the end.
Why not pay with USD or USDT?
Maybe that will help boost the hunter's energy to do the job in the right way or better, like sharing it with other people/investors.

Assured that it will be escrowed. Just for insurance.
If it fails, then cut the hunters prize meaning they didn't do much of the advertising job.

"The NBA is targeting Dec. 22 for the start of the 2020-21 season and a 72-game campaign that finishes before the ‘21 Olympics."
https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1319709540607283200

NBA could be back sooner than we thought but with a shortened schedule of just 72 games, isn't that exciting news, basketball in just two month from now, yay!

Hope they bring back the play-in tournament from the bubble, really thought this was a success.

I need that 10-hour, 4 game Christmas matchups right about now!  Grin

Thanks for the update.
Finishing it before the Olympics. Will there be an Olympics?  Grin
I guess that's a different section to talk about.

I thought Adam Silver will try to change the format by now.
So, he just cut some games in a season. Yeah, that tournament works like a charm. He should try it again.
Change the season format, keep the playoffs.
2935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think will become next Ethereum? on: October 23, 2020, 06:56:34 PM
I agree with the members above.
If there will something that is next in line with Ethereum then it would probably be EOS.
I can't think of anything else rather than that.

Better, they all went to bitcoin if ETH is gone.  Grin
It could boost the value a lot more.
2936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Casinos to Avoid on: October 23, 2020, 05:32:23 PM
I can't remember clearly if it was Megadice or Safedice which invited me thru e-mail.
Thank God I don't like clicking links and signing up for every mail that will be sent to me.

Also i think " YOBIT" is also a Exchange and Casino?(correct me if i'm wrong) that we need to be aware and prevent from visiting and dealing.
Yes, they are.
I have actually tried their dice before with different cryptocurrencies.
It would just be better to dice with trusted companies like my signature rather than a known exchange with gambling inside.
2937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO TREND HYPE.... on: October 23, 2020, 03:59:10 PM
Still Defi.
Do not forget ICO is hyped for like 2 years before it calmed down.
I think this one will also take longer, despite the bad reputation of ICO before Defi looks like a better option. For now.

It's hyped but not yet there. Just like how ICO made a big name before and investors pouring money in it.

2938  Economy / Economics / Re: btc value and currency inflations on: October 23, 2020, 11:49:13 AM
lets say usa dollar and all currencies will be highly devalued .....then how we know the btc value??

most traders use USDT so if something happens with usa dollar is my USDT Will be worthless over night?

Although it will be impossible, just to answer the question it is a yes.
USDT = USD
So it will also be valued as how USD will be.
But, I doubt it will be as low as it can get.
Just think about it, even now with the pandemic and the US being quite affected by high numbers of positive COVID-19 patients.
Their currency is still highly valued and strong. It's not that easy to preserve that.
2939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 23, 2020, 10:33:37 AM
Stan handled the Pistons in the past years and they didn't played that good at that time. On the other side, Jeff Van Gundy is one of the commentators that I like to commentate in the game along side with Mike Breen (Bang Boy) Cheesy.
It's the fun trio. Mike Breen, Jeff, and Mark Jackson. When combined, Boom!!!
Listening to them will give you a lot of historical events while doing the comments in-game that is why I love them.

I'm curious who will be the new head coach of the Rockets since D'Antoni will leave the team already.
3 favorites according to rumors.
John Lucas - Asst. Coach Rockets
Stephen Silas - Asst. Coach Mavericks
Jeff Van Gundy - ESPN commentator (former Houston coach 03-07')

I know there are two but I don't know they are brothers in real life. haha.
Which one of them handles the coaching job for the bad boys Detroit Pistons?
It was Stan who coached Pistons back then. Jeff served Knicks and Rockets.
2940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 22, 2020, 11:02:51 PM
Correction, it's Van Gundy, it's a different person if misspelled. Well, he is very useful to the team, I hope he can help, AFAIK, he was already doing some commentating job in the NBA but now back to coaching, happy to see that, I hope he can improve the Pelican's defense as that is their weakness.
Also a correction. There are two Van Gundy's in the realm of the NBA. Brothers.  Grin
The commentator was Jeff. (right side) He works for ESPN and we can always hear his sarcastic comments. But he also coached years ago.
Stan Van Gundy (left side). An analyst after coaching and now he's back.

Fun fact: Rockets is still trying to get Jeff as their head coach. But, I don't think Jeff will come back.
Credits to the owner of the photo. I just saw it in google images.
