2921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has a Bitcoin Transaction ever been censored? on: September 15, 2020, 10:19:11 AM
Is he talking about Censored by centralized exchanges and other centralized means ? I am not sure if there is built-in mechanism in the Bitcoin Network to censor transactions. Such mechanism would be transparent and involve members of the Bitcoin (& litecoin) communities.
2922  Economy / Economics / Re: get ready guys for this soon on: September 15, 2020, 09:33:16 AM
I guess you are referring to only traditional fiat currencies. There are many other existing currencies aside fiats. So, it shouldn't be difficult for all the countries to switch to fully decentralized currencies like cryptocurrency, without problems. They can still retain their currency names if they wish, and their currencies would be well governed by qualified members in Crypto space and protected from falling apart... all done cheaply. By the way, the fiats as they currently are can easily be protected from falling apart if they do the right thing

However, it's better they decentralize the current fiat currencies for transparency and accountability sake. They can still print them in physical form after decentralizing
2923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: September 15, 2020, 09:01:18 AM
I've been experimenting with betting on sports, and for now I don't see a difference between when I'm making an educated bet and just betting blindly looking only at the odds. It hasn't been long, however, so I'll keep experimenting.

I can only speak of myself. I know a lot about football/soccer because it is a sport that fascinates me, so I bet 99% of my money on football games and no other sports. I have been consistently profitable for a long time (winning 55-60% of my bets). If I happen to bet on other interesting sports (e.g. recent NFL games), I always have a win rate of less than 50%. So I cannot confirm that knowledge does not make a difference. But to be profitable you also need good money and balance management. So knowledge compared with good money management is the key to success.

Interesting.
I guess this means you a successful bettor.
Well, I think people could actually be successful bettors by betting on things they are interested in or passionate about. I believe the passion will help people to learn easily... they would keep learning, bet, be patient etc. Others are probably attracted mostly by huge bet prizes than the passion for the games
2924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 15, 2020, 08:28:01 AM
Mine was mostly local betting games.
I think I have played few skill-based and random-based betting games as a kid. The  games include  "throwing round object on wine" kind of game, Lottery, etc. I think I'd prefer the skill-based games, but will aswell go for the opposite if I don't have the skills for the skill-based games.
2925  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to expect in soccer this season on: September 15, 2020, 08:01:13 AM
Are spectators still not allowed in the stadiums/arena? If yes, is it in all the leagues (premiership, spanish, Italian leagues etc) or few/most?

I don't know much thesedays about the leagues. Been a bit long I stopped focusing alot of attention on football and other sports. I occasionally watch the matches when I go to restaurants to eat. And it seems lots of restaurants have the English leagues (premiership?) on.
2926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Ways to Hack Bitcoin on: September 14, 2020, 04:22:27 PM
The 51% attack can be prevented with sufficient decentralization and rules. How can there be 51% attack  if there is no way to control 51% of network participants or PoW? Satoshi's one cpu one vote (with the principles of Bitcoin) would basically solve this if it was sustainable.
2927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting CoinDesk about "Dirty" Gold and "Dirty" Bitcoin on: September 14, 2020, 04:09:47 PM
Gold is a tangible commodity and there's a higher probability that the "dirty" gold is knowingly bought given it's relatively smaller market. I presume their way of laundering gold is by melting it down? With currencies, it's a much more complicated issue all together. I honestly doubt it would be possible to obtain coins that are completely clean without it being tainted at some point in time. As the new supply of Bitcoin becomes more and more scarce, it's pretty inevitable that the coins wouldn't be clean. At this point in time, it's just the services being more cautious about accListen epting these.

Exactly my thoughts. What stop people from melting the gold and selling to other as clean gold? Or are people required to sell only "marked gold" or gold that the sources are known... while the unmarked ones go for much less at  blackmarkets?
2928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi protocol bZx attacked once again, lost $8 million on: September 14, 2020, 03:48:46 PM
Seems this is the third attack on the company/platform.

I guess this means the huge amount won't be recovered? Well, I think there should be ways to recover or freeze funds once they have gotten to the wrong hands.
The articles I read concerning the hack, claim someone discovered the vulnerability but couldn't get the team fix it quickly. Doesn't sound decentralized to me if things can take this long to detect and fix.
Ethereum DeFi really remains a very risky ecosystem to invest in due mainly to its lack of distinctions between decentralized, centralized, safe and unsafe platforms on the system. It's currently an unorganized system of confusion, disorder, deception, in my opinion.
2929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are nodes? on: September 14, 2020, 10:32:53 AM
And it's safer and more secure to have many people able to easily run full Blockchain nodes. Full nodes give them the advantage of adequate  control over their coins, participating in network consensus, benefiting from important features of Blockchain/decentralized-tech like anonymity/privacy, censorship resistant, etc.
2930  Other / Off-topic / Re: PUBG ban keeps counting, The decision is appreciable! on: September 14, 2020, 10:14:58 AM
Well, I honestly do not see why such games should be allowed for kids. I don't even think they are suitable for military people not to talk of young non-military minds. You could build training games for military people without the killings and destructions. Characters that are shot at should clearly be dangerous characters that deserves to be shot at. And it should be with all kinds of safe/non-lethal weapons like nets, tranquilizer etc
2931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: September 14, 2020, 10:00:10 AM
Looks like safe bets to me, assuming you aren't gambling with your funds or betting what you can't afford to lose.
It's important to keep improving & learning to bet on matches while betting with small amounts. This should allow you to learn and succeed without fear. If you become consistently profitable for abit long, you can start increasing your bets.
2932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 14, 2020, 09:48:01 AM
What exactly is the authority trying to prevent in the country?  Crowded places due to the health problem, animal fighting, gambling, betting on animals?
I think the police is doing the right thing of it is trying to stop or prevent all of the above.  People should avoid gathering in crowded place without following the good safety measures. They should also not allow people to encourage animals to fight nor bet on fighting animals. In regards to gambling, it's obviously not a good thing to gamble in anything atall especially for selfish reasons. We must be good/profitable at betting before committing more money/time in it.
A bettor must not gamble. Bet with small amount of money or what you can afford to lose till perhaps you become good at the games/competitions. Bet only on good and safe games (no betting on animals fights or other violent games). Be a good and responsible bettor.
2933  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Working online for bitcoin - would you give this up? on: September 11, 2020, 05:58:34 PM
By using Amazon lifecycle rules, you can publicly verify that any data is destroyed
are being processed.

You mean the private data^?
If yes... I'd say the problem with this is how can one be certain that the data is actually destroyed and not stored atall in anyway considering that this is likely centralized. This is one the main concern with giving out private info to centralized services.

Will probably try this if my biometric data (like my face) can be split into different parts and sent to multiple third-parties or AI to verify. That should help prevent the possibility of one service having my full face or biometric data.
2934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These videos are hosted on a blockchain and can never be deleted! (LBC+HIVE) on: September 11, 2020, 02:58:52 PM
Is there a storage limit for videos hosted there?
What about if illegal content is posted?

I think it should be possible for community moderators to hide such contents in the future, assuming this is not possible already on the video platform (I haven't really used it before) or on other (truely decentralized) video sites.
It should also be possible for members/participants to filter out the bad contents and have only the good ones  stored in their nodes.
2935  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: September 11, 2020, 09:33:47 AM
I was wondering if people are calling for deregulation to solve the problem?

Been hearing about deregulation for a long time now... I guess i supported that word back then but after re-reading the meaning today, I've decided to be a bit more cautious.
Competition should be allowed but it must be healthy and moral. There must be strong and good standards/rules guiding the competitors. Anyone that goes against the good standard and does what is wrong or immoral should be punished.
The government could only lessen the rules by removing the unnecessary, inefficient, bad rules, but stick strongly to morality and good/basic building code/standards/principles for the housing or real-estate sector
2936  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Prediction Site on: September 11, 2020, 08:53:07 AM
I guess you're looking for soccer betting that offer match prediction services, or it's just sites that focus only on soccer prediction? The precised answer will probably help. Some may think you mean soccer betting sites?
2937  Other / Archival / Re: The Fundamental Flaws Of Provably Fair on: September 11, 2020, 08:30:32 AM
Rarely people verify their bets even if it is a won or lose because not everyone has that much patience after results, but here community helps them to keep updating about the status of their fairness level from time to time. This thread can be helpful for someone who wants to verify their bet on their own but lot of people claim legit fair casinos as scam because of their mistakes, particularly while verifying the seed, some of them forgot to copy the special characters which gives them invalid results.

The information and others (assuming they're all very reliable ) could also be guide to experience bettors who wish to spend some time and verify the provable fairness of most of the betting sites that claim "Provable fair". I think those with true/good provable fair feature should be trusted more than those without

2938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any VR crypto casinos? on: September 11, 2020, 08:10:14 AM
I haven't found any crypto casinos that support VR, maybe because it's not that popular this year. Especially now in a pandemic COVIC-19
situation, so saving money must be done. So there was no way for people to buy VR equipment in this situation. Because based on the info
I got, the price of VR equipment was quite expensive. There are indeed some rich people who can afford VR equipment, but the numbers
are enormous a little.

I think it doesn't necessarily have to be privately owned VR tech. I guess people could buy them and rent them out to others... or go to stores or betting centers where they can pay to use VR tech for good and useful things.

2939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jackpot! User turns $200 into $250K thanks to a buggy DeFi protocol on: September 10, 2020, 04:25:31 PM
I guess it will be good to reward the user to encourage others to be honest... But not without making sure that wasn't done on purpose. Will reward the user with Good Reputation or with some part of fund or both.

Well, It's normal to be moral or honest. There is nothing strange or alien about it. So, keeping such a huge amount for yourself while the owner/owners are known should be considered abnormal and strange by any right thinking person.
2940  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we be scared of zero reserve banking? on: September 10, 2020, 03:55:07 PM
You don't even own part of your money anymore, you own none of it, and how are people going to adopt bitcoin en masse if banks can't sustain moving money out of them? Banks own your money, which they don't even have.

Supplimental reading: https://medium.com/navigating-life/we-just-went-from-fractional-reserve-banking-to-zero-reserve-banking-and-its-a-pretty-big-deal-c501432e9be6

Didn't understand the bolded well
I guess that also means:  "how are people going to adopt bitcoin en masse if banks can't tolerate or allow them moving money out of the banks?"
Assuming this^ is correct, I think a sustainable decentralized Bitcoin ecosystem or economy will help greatly. Just build them and invite people to work and earn Bitcoin rather than depending on fiat monies to grow the Bitcoin economy.
