I have updated my squad like this by using wildcard. Frankly, the reason why I preferred Kane over Haaland is related to the budget. Rashford is playing as forward due to Martial's being injured also. I think these weeks can be taken advantage of.

Every transfer I made this week has affected me negatively. I sold Odegaard and bought Rashford. Odegaard managed to score another goal this week. Instead of T.A.A, I bought Robertson. T.A.A managed to win 8 more points than him. If I say that my captain was Salah at the same time, it would be the recap of my week. As all of these bothered me I used wildcard and decided to change my squad.

Dortmund relieved very early in the match. After scoring a goal and dominating the whole half they were different in the second half. Their letting Hertha Berlin come to their goal often could have caused another disaster for them after the historical Bremen loss. But they still secured a 1-0 win. I picked the exact score for this match so it made me satisfied. 

But I won't be able to say the same thing for my pick about the Bayern Munich match as it was a 3-0 win for them. It was a poor day for Bayern Munich and so many people must have lost their bets on them. Although having full control of the match they still barely saved the point thanks to Sane's goal in the last minutes. After losing 1-2 last season, they got another poor result against Gladbach in Allianz Arena. They have a bad luck against them recently.

The only attracting part of this league to me is to watch the competition between Ajax and PSV for the league title. We have been accustomed to seeing this very often in the recent years because there has been no other team to put up a big fight against any of them. But maybe this season might be different. The reason is that I see Feyenoord having started strongly and having the lead in the standings after four weeks. If they also join the race to be the champions this can make the season a little more interesting. In the end people get bored to see the same teams fighting for a title after a point.

Napoli are indeed not a team to be underestimated. They have started the Serie A really decently. I expect them to carry this big ambition to the Champions League as well. We would watch a lovely competition between Napoli and Ajax for the second spot. Liverpool's start shouldn't be misleading. They already got a huge 9-0 win in the EPL though. They would be the leader of this group at the end.

Frankfurt maybe won the Europa League title but they aren't giving positive signals at the moment. Their Bundesliga performance has been very bad so far with zero wins in three matches. Maybe they can focus on the Champions League more but I still believe their job is quite difficult in that group. It seems likely for me to see them in the Europa League once more.

My prediction in the pool was a 3-0 win for Liverpool but this was too much for everyone I assume.    It isn't seen very often to get this kind of absurd wins after starting the season badly. Even though they scored 9 goals Salah couldn't score any. He had two absolute goal chances but missed both of them. Every big player has bad days of course but this was a really rare incident to witness while so many players in the team were making a big contribution.

It was a big pleasure to watch Haaland's ambitious play today too. This time Guardiola didn't sub him off before making a hat-trick and he made it this time. He is already one of the most valued players in the team as we saw it after he was out. Fans are really loving him now.

Qualifying session was really nice. Verstappen had a great lap time in Q3 even though he wasn't going to be able to win the pole position. Sainz used this chance really good and he is starting in pole position tomorrow. This might not be a good race for Ferrari maybe as Leclerc is starting way behind. But Sainz has a good chance to win if he doesn't have big issues. Perez can finish right behind him as I picked in the pool also. Their times in qualifying weren't too far from each other. Unless Verstappen deals with some problems there is no way Leclerc is closing the gap with him significantly.

Chelsea are still insistent on signing another centre-back before the end of the transfer window. Fofana is their main target but Leicester's demand is really high. Chelsea have Koulibaly and Thiago Silva in their starting eleven now. These two are already very good actually so I'm not sure if they really need to splurge on another defender. Chelsea's main concern should be an attacker rather than a defender now. Because they have Broja and Batshuayi only. Havertz is playing there now but he isn't a real striker. Chelsea are having problems there as a result.

The groups were drawn today. Başakşehir have an average+ group comparing to the tournament. Fiorentina are already a tough competitor. And Hearts are the third most performing team in the Scottish League recently. RFS are a really weak team for Başakşehir so I don't expect them to lose any points in both matches. I think Başakşehir can advance by finishing the group at the second position right behind Fiorentina if they show a good performance like they did against Antwerp in the rematch.

The past is behind now. We aren't watching the same Barcelona anymore. So it isn't the right thing to be prejudiced about the matches between them and Bayern Munich already now. Especially in Camp Nou things won't be easy for Bayern Munich. This Barcelona don't have Messi but they have a better system from now on. They don't rely on only one player like in the past. They are learning to play strongly as a team which is a crucial point for any team in the Champions League. Teamwork was one of the biggest factors that made Real Madrid the champions last season.

Bad news have come from Leclerc's side. He is starting at the back of the grid just Verstappen because both of them have changed their engines. It's not a big deal for Verstappen as he is very comfortable in the championship run. However it is bad for Leclerc because this was a big chance for him to catch up with Verstappen a little more. I don't expect them to be far away from each other at the end of this race. Maybe I'm dreaming but there is still a chance for Leclerc to win this somehow. This is F1 in the end and you never know what happens during the race. 

I still can't remember a great example for this. Hamilton was at the last position before the sprint race in Brazil last season. But he was the winner of the race despite every problem he faced. Maybe it is time for Leclerc to do a similar job. 

It was like a miracle for Başakşehir to finish the first half 1-0 ahead. Because Antwerp had a big dominance. But the second half was much more in favour of Başakşehir. They managed to keep the match under control. Until Aleksic's goal I was still doubting the match. Because they were ahead by one goal in the first leg as well and you remember what happened in the last moments.

Başakşehir already had a better squad quality than their opponent but it was still not an easy round for the Turkish representative.

I think that we have started to see the Jorge Jesus effect on Fenerbahçe.    Because tonight was amazing for them. There was a great team play above all else which helped them give nearly zero chances to their opponent. The productiveness of the team is increasing day by day. This is what Fenerbahce fans want to see from them because the team were searching for a good scorer for a long time to fix this problem. But it's getting better already now. After adding Maxi Gomez also to the team they would have even a more reliable attacking line hopefully.

We couldn't even enjoy the last race in Spa in the previous season due to heavy rain. The results were determined only after one lap. However this time it isn't raining which is good news.    It isn't the best news for drivers like Hamilton for example as he might have turned this into his advantage. In these conditions, the competition would be between Verstappen and Leclerc mainly. Leclerc should be begging Ferrari already now not to make huge mistakes again indeed.

PSG are the only consistent team in the league which makes the Ligue 1 very boring to follow. We all know much before that PSG will open the point gap too much in time and become the champions very comfortably. Of course there are some exceptions like the season Lille won the title but it is rarely seen in the end. Having not even one team to compete with PSG till the end decreases the quality of this league a lot. But nothing would change as long as PSG stay as the only rich team in the whole league.

Fenerbahçe are close to signing Maxi Gomez these days. However I doubt if he is really the striker they need now. Because according to his statistics, he hasn't been performing impressively since the 19/20 season. He has started to score much less goals since then. But it is since the day he was transferred by Valencia at the same time. He was doing great before at Celta Vigo like scoring 18 goals in a season. So it is early to be sure of anything for now.

For now, I can say that things are going well for Trabzonspor but they still haven't found the goal they need. But this pressure can help them score the goal sooner or later. They need to maintain this dominance in the second half as well. Their problem is that they score very late. It was what happened in the first leg. This makes me scared of the possibility that FC Copenhagen can punish them suddenly. We saw Trabzonspor conceding silly goals in the first leg as you can remember. And that would be the end of the road for Trabzonspor psychologically.

This week has really been a very interesting one for me in the pools. I won the yellow cap in the La liga. However I got a wooden spoon in the Serie A. Furthermore I'm a person who is following the Serie A even more.
