2941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: July 31, 2021, 01:44:45 AM
Lakers looking likely to sign Rudy Gay or Carmelo Anthony soon according to rumors… I can’t deny it, I would love to see LeBron and Carmelo playing side by side on the same team. If only Chris Paul could find his way there…. They could get Wade out of retirement and you’d have the Banana Boys back in yellow. Plus, how many times would we hear the LeBron saving Melo from drowning story?

Yeah, I would also love to see Melo and Bron on the same team, man Lakers is really on the hunt here after a dismal performance last season. I think he has pitch the Melo trade with the Lakers trade many times after no one picks Melo like 2 years ago. Not sure about Wade though, he has a happy married life, you know.  Smiley. WB is a native of LA so it make sense for him to go to the Lakers.
2942  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish: 'Vast Majority' of Institutions Will Own Crypto by 2026: Fidelity on: July 30, 2021, 03:26:31 AM
This survey makes the argument stronger that if you join Bitcoin and think long-term, things will be good. If you forget about the huge corrections, bear seasons, 50% sudden fall in price, and so on and continue to HODL strong, things could never go wrong. The rise and fall of Bitcoin's price is seen close-up but if you zoom it out, everything is encouraging. With all the news, rumors, FUD, and the likes, I guess it is clear that there is still net positive about the future of Bitcoin. Adoption is getting stronger every single day.

As the narrative of bitcoin has change, and so is our goal here. Bitcoin should be hold for long-term, well at least a year and then see how it goes for us. The problem is that many bet on the short and thinking that they can too earn huge money in short-term. But the better plan obviously, is to continue to stack and accumulate bitcoin and look in the future. Imagine +4 years from now, after the halving, we might be pushing for at least $500k that time.
2943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: July 30, 2021, 02:49:47 AM

https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/7/20/22585577/oscar-valdez-vs-robson-conceicao-official-september-10-tucson-boxing-news-2021

After his huge win against Miguel Berchelt to snatch the WBC super featherweight belt, Oscar Valdez returns and defends his crown against Olympic gold medalist Robson Conceicao.

I know some of you might be disappointed on choosing a relatively unknown boxer in the division, but I think Valdez is taking it slowly as he just move up in this division and probably still feeling the weight category that's why he chooses Conceicao.

Odds are not yet out, but I reckon that Valdez will be the favourite here. Hopefully we will see another fight of the year performance from Oscar and keep this division alive.

With that record I guess Oscar has the big potential of winning against his challenger and one thing that made him he become favorites of many people because he deserves all the hardwork. Though we don't see the odds yet, at least there's a amazing progress that we seen on him, and I believed he would able to defend his division as he win over all his fights.

Oscar Valdez has made a big progress, this is not his weight class, but he move up to challenge the champion and then won with an incredible knockout, so yes he deserves all the hard work becoming a champion and now defending it for the 1st time against Robson. But what's interesting is why he chooses this as his 1st fight after getting the belt. There was an argument that this is a cherry pick fight which I believed is true.
2944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bye Bye Bitcoin on: July 30, 2021, 01:59:46 AM
The article doesn't really add up anything to the discussion as to why bitcoin isn't worth something. It basically is someone's personal rant on something that they don't fully understand, and how everyone should avoid it just because they don't like it. Articles like these are appearing from time to time and aren't really anything that's particularly interesting, or something that is really worth reading. Those who do not see value in pseudo-anonymous payments are probably those who are okay to give their information without even asking what the companies and governments are going to do with it.

This is also comes to my mind, (I didn't read the article is purely click-bait) the author perhaps doesn't really understand what bitcoin is, hence the personal rant.

I think we have seen this all over, specially in the beginning of bitcoin wherein there's a lot of author who attack in and then moving 5-10 years after, they have change their mind. I remember one news outlet who even try to mine bitcoin early so obviously they have bitcoins in their wallet. Unfortunately, they have thrown or discard the private key. They do it just to prove something. So fast forward 2021, when we had a new all time high at $64k, they've realized this big mistakes, they should have been millionaires by now.

I do hope that the author will not realized the same mistakes until it's too late.
2945  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin doesn't care about Tesla and Amazon on: July 30, 2021, 01:28:45 AM
I completely disagree, these two events, The B Word roundtable and the Amazon hiring news both greatly effected the price of bitcoin.  In large part this news caused a lot of traders to cover their short positions due to the rise that these news event created.  This is a fact, and not really something that can be debated. I'm not saying traders should care about these event's as much as they do, but they do.

Of course traders and speculators care about the next big news to make profits. But if they short in the last 7 days, they should be at a negative because the price suddenly jumps above $40k and then stay there for some time before a quick dump, forcing the market to ~$39k right now.

But we should understand that the last price movement was not fueled by Amazon because they have denied it. And the price continue to soar as I have said and it is not dumping hard as expected. Still good and strong at $39k, strong indication that we might see another break out run next month.
2946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 29, 2021, 11:31:03 PM
Lakers are getting close to a deal for Kyle Kuzma. Looks like they’ll have to choose if they want to get Buddy Hield or Demar Derozan. I think Derozan is probably the way to go because he’ll likely bring Kyle Lowry with him, but I think Buddy Hield is a much better fit with LeBron. Still, if you have the chance to add 2 future hall of gamers to your lineup, you should probably take it.

This is somewhat interesting development: 2021 NBA Draft: Wizards near deal to trade Russell Westbrook to the Lakers for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and a first round pick.

Quote
It looks like the Washington Wizards are going to look very different next season. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the team is near a deal to trade Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and a 2021 first-round pick. However, there is still more work to be done.

I think this is beneficial for the Lakers to let go of the 3 and get Westbrook to form their own super teams now and fight again for the NBA ring for Bron, specially for Westbrook to get a ring before he retires.

So much hype for Kuzma as Lakers didn't let go of him before, but it's pretty obvious by now that he is only pure hype. They should have kept Brandon Ingram instead.
2947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu vs. Dogecoin. Who is the Lead Dog of the Pack? on: July 28, 2021, 03:34:29 AM
It's very obvious that Dogecoin is the leader of the pack, after all it has been promoted by Elon Musk and he is the one responsible for the coins massive surge in the last couple of months and many people bought the hype around it.

As for Shiba Inu, I would say that this is another pump and dump coin, or simply meme coin. It's good while it last, in my opinion.
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 28, 2021, 02:48:32 AM
If I had to choose between two options for how Pacquiao would win - by knockout or by decision, then I would have bet on the knockout. In my opinion, there is simply no chance of winning on points, since all rounds after the middle Spence will dominate (maybe I'm wrong, but that's my prediction), but there is always a chance to make a lucky punch.

This would be a wise choice I think. In the first few rounds of the fight, Pacman will show his speed and power but in the later rounds it will fade just like in the Thurman fight and that's the time Spence could exploit him.

Not saying that Manny would completely gas out but the chances are too high since he is 3 years older when he fought Thurman and I don't believe that he will defy father time and still fought like he is in his prime unless he is drinking something which I don't think he is capable of.

Even prior to the Thurman fight, Manny has shown that he is slowing down in the mid rounds because he seems to be very tired, against Broner it was also evident, the thing is that Broner just chooses to turtle and play defense. But in the Thurman fight, Manny got hit a lot flush in the face that's why he was also affected to cause him to gas out. Good thing is that he has a knock down and has stolen few rounds already. So they need to really work out that stamina because Spence is much difficult fight for him at this point of his career.
2949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public companies That own Bitcoin on: July 28, 2021, 01:39:37 AM
I am curious about how to get the data? I don't know if the list above is trustable (valid) or not, but I am surprised I can't find Binance there. Or Binance company is formally written with another name?  Huh

Regardless if it's missing something, the fact is that bitcoin is being viewed as a hedge and companies are putting in their balance sheet, it is already a good news for us.

In my viewpoint, it is good news that many public companies are trying to own a big number of BTC. This makes Bitcoin be more popular as a new digital asset. Then, more and more people will follow or join the Bitcoin investment because they are not afraid anymore after seeing what big companies did. However, I am curious about how the future of Bitcoin if most of the circulating supply is on the big companies. Will we see a massive manipulation on Bitcoin price among those companies?

That's what I'm saying, whether public or private companies or even countries such as Bulgaria or Ukraine, bitcoin is now one of the best assets, and could be in the top three, together with gold or oil. And for more in the next 5-10 years, this list could grow.
2950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 27, 2021, 02:30:47 AM
Its just funny that CP3 really is 0-12 when the game is being officiated by Scott Foster. We might think that there is a bit of biased on it but we can't say it without proofs at all.

Nice trivia, I don't know that, however, I still believe that the Suns did not lose because of the officiating, that's too unfair for the Bucks because we saw how they bounce back from the first two losses and they have dominated the Suns already winning the next 4 games. Maybe next time CP3 has to be friendly with the refs especially with Scott Foster so the curse will be broken.

I think it's just a coincidence. Scott Foster's won't do such a thing or it will cost him his career. It's not easy to look for a job when you are at that age.

I believe it's 13 playoff losses straight now after game 6 and an overall playoff record of 2-16.  Sad for sure and hard to discount.  You could maybe say that Scott Foster calls fouls in a way that hurts CP3, but something is definitely up there.  The only way to justify the statistic and not think Scott Foster should be fired is if he's doing it on their behalf, which is where all the conspiracy theories come from.  I haven't heard Chris Paul comment on it at all, but I suspect it will be in his documentary once he retires.

Yeah, but it's hard to believed that a ref has a beef with a player such as CP3. And even reminded him of that string of losses:

https://twitter.com/MarcJSpears/status/1301374451066470400

So the conspiracy theories continues and CP3 is still haunted by this and we will never know the real story about their beef and maybe he can tell it all once he retires as you said.
2951  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc market up on: July 27, 2021, 01:26:53 AM
^^ Yeah, since the $40k range has been rejected, and we are now down to $37k, I wouldn't be surprised if we go back to the $33k-$35k range. It's not that bad though, at least we can go back down to the support levels that has been holding for many months now.

It's just sad to see that $40k can't be breached as obviously, investors chooses to sell again to make instant profit.
2952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Bitcoin Poll on: July 27, 2021, 12:58:43 AM
If by chance they are going to accept BTC as payment method in the future, they will get a third party like Bitpay or Coinbase payment to handle their bitcoins. Maybe they will convert it readily for cash or just hold on it. So it's a win-win situation for them, but it might take some time, we have heard this rumor since 2017 if I'm not mistaken and fast forward 4 years later, still remains a rumor.
2953  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is this a good divide? thanks on: July 25, 2021, 05:00:31 AM
i was thinking %35 bitcoin, %25 eth, %15 cardano, %15 ravecoin, %10 alt coins just for the fun of it lol.

does this make sense?

keep in mind im 15 and dont got that much money lol

There is no formula on how to divide your money on crypto, still up to you to manage it.

But I would say that majority of investors here are into BTC, maybe 60% or higher, at least in my case.

I do hope that you take it seriously though and not for fun, after all it involves your hard earn money.
2954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 25, 2021, 02:31:05 AM
What kind you say about Giannis post game interview, he somewhat throw some on KD and Lebron winning rings with other super stars (super teams).

So would you rather have Giannis 1 ring against KD 2 with the GSW or Lebron's 2 with Miami?

It's a whole lot of debate that I have been hearing around social media now.

For me all rings are created equal, it's not the first time that we have heard about this super teams.

If I remember correctly, the Boston Celtics has super teams in the 60's, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, KC Jones and other future hall of famers.

So for me, I don't have an issue with KD joining the GSW for a title run, or James teaming up with DWade in Miami.

I think Giannis has to respect Lebron and Durant, they join a team because they want to win a championship and it's not illegal, if he does not want to be criticized, he should not talk sh*t about other superstars, did Giannis want to hear that he only won because his team was playing against an injured Brooklyn Nets?

It's not illegal, but I don't know if you are familiar with CP3 news before that he wanted to join the Lakers and Kobe but it was stop by then commissioner David Stern,

https://ca.nba.com/news/this-date-in-nba-history-dec-8-commissioner-david-stern-vetoes-chris-pauls-trade-to-the-los-angeles-lakers/s3zzl4imi12c1uhc5a85va9sw

[/quote]
On Dec. 8 in 2011, then NBA Commissioner David Stern vetoed a three-team trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers.[/quote]

So Stern vetoed, but we will never know the real reason for it, but if it proceed that time, maybe CP3 has a ring already, just saying.

Of course Giannis respects both Durant and Lebron, but it was a obvious verbal jabs on super teams.
2955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: July 25, 2021, 01:59:10 AM
I'm checking Robson Conceicao boxrec here; https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/772975. No experience yet, so yes this is a cherry pick fight for Valdez obviously. With only 16 fights under Robson's belt, I don't think he has enough experienced to give Oscar some problems. All I can see is that this kid is tall, almost 5'11 and that might posed some issues with Oscar early, but for sure he can adjust as the fight goes on and maybe can score a KO/TKO with his now famous and developed left hook under coach Reynoso.

Anyone seen this video?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaC3LEygCLU

KD somewhat wanted to send the message across as to who is the man in the US team.

"That's my ball" should be the team's slogan moving forward, LOL.
2958  Economy / Speculation / Re: the next checkpoint $13,800 on: July 23, 2021, 11:38:43 PM
A bit got loss on the content of the thread. I think everyone is focusing on the without reading the content but the general point this post was 29K is the checkpoint if the price slow down falling on 20K price. He has a point on his analysis since he is just referring to the 200MA. 13,800$ is not that far considering how cryptomarket move.

Of course, even if you check the 50 MA, still points to $13,800 as the checkpoint so it's not that far technically speaking. But as far as the fundamentals goes, bitcoin is now very strong, it's now above $33k, from a weak point of around $29k about a week ago.

So we are moving far from the $13,800 prediction and if you zoom out, we could be heading to the obvious sideways range again.
2959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are three kinds of people in the Bitcoin world on: July 23, 2021, 02:11:42 PM
So might as well add:

(a) perma-bull - always have bullish outlook of the bitcoin market
(b) perma-bear - always negative on the direction of the bitcoin market

as far as opportunist goes, it applies to all, everyone always look to buy cheap bitcoins.

I think faithish or idealist is the same.
2960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 23, 2021, 02:48:18 AM
Congrats on the Bucks fans, you won the spread and you should celebrate also. lol

overall last season, I think I'm in profit but not a big profit though, I'm just enjoying my journey, trying to be consistent with my picks.
Thanks also for those who trusted my pick, you guys rock, we learn together and that's already cool for me.

Thanks to you too and those who have shared their analysis of the game.

I myself didn't bet until the semis of the NBA for this season. But it's been a good stretch for me, loss some but win big.

Hopefully the NBA will start regularly this October so that I can bet early.
