And yes, there are a few primdice owners (for example) who have given out their full names before now. Why can't wetsuit do the same, what's he in fear of?
It would be considered more trustworthy as a site if you both offered your full identities.

It is not something I have or will ask wetsuit as I think if he didn't want to be anonymous he wouldn't be.

From a personal perspective, I use services like ChipMixer so that nobody knows how much Bitcoin I have. If you own a site holding over 1200 BTC just in user deposits that isn't an option. Do a Google news search on 'bitcoin kidnapping".

Is that really all? Because I have a balance well above $100, but I still have to do captchas half the time, which... yeah, is painful, because recaptcha takes sooooo long when it gives the fade in/fade out photos, makes me do 4-5 screens, then after I spent over a minute doing all that it tells me I am wrong and have to do it again. *pulls hair out*. All that is to say, on the random occasions I log into the site and *don't* have to do a captcha, I am very happy Wink

It should be $100. If it is coming and going then that's probably just because the exchange rate is changing.

Google's reCAPTURE works on a lot of inputs they use to come up with a risk assessment on the likelihood they think you're using a bot. I think people that have problems it is usually caused by doing too many of them in a short space of time. I used to have a lot of problems with it as well but then I just took a week or so off by refusing to use any site that had them. Since I came back I only do a few a day and I never even get a challenge, I just click the box and get a tick.

You should be able to see it by clicking the REQUIREMENTS TO UNLOCK BONUSES link:

The point is that recaptcha does not work for a lot of legit users.
I really do not want to be a hater, because i ve been usng freebitco.in for more than one year, but... things are a bit fish and start looking more an more like a Ponzi scheme.
So many changes that completely affect the legit and loyal users, now I can not even enjoy the site anymore, mainly because of the recaptcha bullshit. How can I recommend someone new to this site if some of the basic functions do not work unless they make a deposit? Isn t it odd?

lolz. It looks like we're a Ponzi because Google thinks you are a bot? The no captcha for high balances privilege has been in place for years.

If you are having difficulties with reCAPTCHA please contact Google's support team.

Yea, you can with the Brick n Mortar sites, but these unregulated online gambling sites are all the same. You just close your eyes and hope for the best.  Roll Eyes < So pointing fingers to Freebitco.in would be unfair, because most of them are doing it this way >  Grin

The distinction isn't bricks and mortar Vs. on-line it is fiat Vs. Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is very much a libertarian project designed to allow people to make financial transactions without interference from government authorities. Anonymity is very important to service providers.

When I declare my income with the tax authorities or when they do a audit, they want some kind of paper trail and with sites like this, it is not possible. Some of the investment sites I deal with, have "reports" that I use in PDF format for tax purposes.  Wink

It should be adequate just to save screenshots. I have investments in other gambling sites and it is my responsibility to collect and save the data there as well.
2945  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 14, 2018, 08:01:37 AM
Would still be great if we could place a human or humans behind the face of this project.

Can you do that with any Bitcoin gambling site?

I would have dumped a lot more coins into Freebitco.in if I knew what I was dealing with and if I could have explained that income to my local tax authorities.  Cheesy

I don't see why that should be a problem, just declare the interest if you need to under your local legislation.

Personal income generated in another country, does not exempt you from paying taxes in your country of origin. They might use the Virgin Islands as a tax haven, but they can still be held liable for the tax income and the penalties, if they are caught. As TheQuin said, most unregistered gambling sites do this, but at one stage they grow too big and then people start knocking at your door.

Freebitco is currently operating as a Bank / Gambling site / Unregistered Business and I bet you, they not paying any taxes. They might want to legitimize this operation now, by re-branding the site.  Huh

You're making a lot of assumptions about people's private financial arrangements. You're also misinformed about the need for registration and what constitutes legitimate.
2947  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 14, 2018, 05:56:22 AM
Any chance to add another type of captcha? It hasn t been working for weeks for me.
I am also facing this problem for some time just because of this now I am not going on site daily because this captcha is not working and some time take too much time just because of this hurt too much they need to work on previous style with 2 or 3 captcha options which was very good and useful for all members
Solution - deposit ~0.01 BTC to your account and you wont have to solve captcha anymore.
I agree it was great when we had multiple captcha choices, but I think some of them were removed because bots were able to bypass it.

It's actually a balance above $100 in BTC that removes captcha.

The bots can get around all of them but reCAPTCHA is the most expensive for them.
2948  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 14, 2018, 05:54:38 AM
It's not being abandoned, just when we rebrand it will no longer be in the name. That's about getting away from the perception that we are just a faucet.
By the way, any news about rebranding. I remember it was planned in July or something similar, but now I suspect that it will not happen this summer?
And I got email message about reward points bonus and I noticed this thing at the bottom of message
FreeBitco.in, 3rd Floor, J and C Building, PO Box 933, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands
So, this means that Freebitco.in now registered as official company?

Probably not. There are probably minimal laws and minimal enforcement there (however, they are sending out their location so maybe).

The British Virgin Islands are one of the places Britons use for legal tax evasion (probably what this site is doing also).

It's nothing new. If you do a whois lookup of the domain it tells you it is registered in Tortola, VG. I can't remember where I found it now but I found that address when I searched for it years ago.

The British Virgin Islands are a very popular place to base an internet company. The government there is very welcoming with a friendly attitude to regulation and taxes.
2949  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 13, 2018, 04:05:09 PM
The "free" concept is used to attract users and should be expanded on with the other parts of the site.

It's not being abandoned, just when we rebrand it will no longer be in the name. That's about getting away from the perception that we are just a faucet.
2950  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why do some people believe that only the nodes miners run matter? on: July 13, 2018, 01:57:25 PM
Every post from @anunymint apparently was deleted. The thread is now very difficult to understand because a significant portion of the discussion is missing.

The account has been banned and all posts deleted. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2189580

It might be because of the lies and misinformation they were spreading.

how to avoid permanent ban? give me some tips or advice to avoid permanent ban.I'm newbie here.I hope you can give me some usefull tips and advices.Good day to all!

Simple.

1) Read and follow the rules - Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
2) Check each board for sticky threads containing local rules.
2953  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 13, 2018, 07:28:00 AM
no way;

there must exist something method for win; good method is against of system

It's game of chance. If it was possible to make a system then everyone would use it and casinos couldn't exist.

A lot of gamblers understand this and have fun.

Those that search for a system or fall prey to snake oil salesmen with systems end up just getting frustrated and disappointed when they lose everything and realise the system was a fake.
2954  Other / Meta / Re: Truth about bitcointalk users 2.0 on: July 13, 2018, 07:23:25 AM
I suspect that a very large percentage of those accounts are inaccessible to their owner for one reason or another. If someone is proxy banned they may create a new account on a different IP instead of paying the fee, someone might have forgotten their password and just created a new account.

I think @EternityFirs's explanation above will account for the largest chunk of these. They don't get to know about the evil IP until after the account has been created. So the spambots will just keep making new accounts and when they can't post they just try again with another IP address and repeat until they get one they can use. From Vod's numbers over 50% of all accounts have never posted.

Many of them are just "prepared" to start a spam session, I see many Newbies spammers who didn't register recently.

There's probably some of that as well.
2955  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Big wins at FreeBitco.in on: July 13, 2018, 07:00:22 AM

You didn't provide the correct screenshot. It needs to show the actual roll like this:

2956  Other / Meta / Re: How many times does someone have to break a rule before they get banned. on: July 13, 2018, 06:50:25 AM
Bump.

Still hoping for a moderator to tell me if I'm understanding this rule correctly.

He's still going:

is exist any method/strategy on freebitco for win of money?

Some people will say no and I'd agree you will lose it all at some point.  So while you cant win 100% of the time, you can certainly be successful with the right tools and responsible playing,  I prove this daily 24x7 every single day with my live stream.

Promoting his live stream for his dice script in our service thread because there is no interest in his service thread.

Why does the percentage towards the next level bonus go down when you use the hourly free spin?  Also, what causes the bonus added to every win to drop?

Thanks to jackg & Thirdspace for correctly answering your questions.

I know you answered me sometimes here but are you among owners of freebitco? Or just support here?
Btw you may don't know but in old good days, even banks were promoting your website, this means you have trust in people.
You really pay low compared to old times but somehow no one considers the fact that bitcoin's price is high, more than 10x high. Low house edge would be better but I understand, being faucet and dice at the same time with 1% house edge is very unprofitable for website, however others can't understand it.
Wish you success, would love to see new and strong freebitco like it was some years ago.

I'm just support, wetsuit is the owner. Thanks for your kind words.

Oh please. Stop with that... You either want to give to charity or you do not want to give to charity.

At the time Save the Children removed the Bitcoin donation it was not possible for us to continue accepting donations we couldn't pass on.
So few of our customers used the facility that we see no point on reinstating it now they are accepting Bitcoin donations again. There is nothing to stop you or any other customer donating to them directly if you feel that strongly about it.

2958  Other / Meta / Re: Global Moderators fired? on: July 13, 2018, 06:12:35 AM
I would say a few boards are managed by Global mods(Bitcoin Discussion, Marketplace).

Does rank really make a difference here when it comes to reporting? I can only see this happening, when newbies are required to be nuked(which all staff can do), and normal can't ban Jr. Members and above.

Other moderators can only handle reports on the boards they are assigned to unless it is a newbie. So if the moderator of a particular board isn't around Jr. Member and above posts can only be handled by one of the global mods.

There's been no dedicated mod of big boards like Bitcoin Discussion for years and that certainly could do with it's own one. The alt coin section is getting swamped now and mprep was always overloaded as it's a huge board, but now that section is getting worse since he become a Global and doesn't have enough time to dedicate to it.

Thanks for explaining this. I see now that it is not more global mods that are required but mods need to be assigned to some of the more spam inflicted boards that only either yourself or mprep can currently deal with.

is exist any method/strategy on freebitco for win of money?

There are no strategies. Gambling is about entertainment and luck. If you get lucking you will win.

Stay away from any betting systems and especially dice scripts. Never trust a third party application. If you cannot download, check and compile the source code it could steal your funds or contain other malware.
2960  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 12, 2018, 04:36:40 PM
If the website would not be profitable, than the site would no longer be online.

It is always hilarious watching the trolls one minute screaming that we rip everyone off and make too much profit and then switch tack and claim your deposits are at risk because we're about to go bust.

Most of the requests I get can be summarised as either 'give us more free money' or 'reduce your house edge so you have less income to pay the freebies'.

Would be cool if the new site would have some more extra features (besides the exchange) such as games or ...

Stay tuned.
