Take a look at it. Each Province of China is essentially its own country. It's always been this way. Their common relations are based on organized trade between them, not that they have ever had a really strong central government.

When the main inter-provincial trade is disrupted sufficiently, the whole togetherness will collapse, and we will have 23 separate countries. Trade is collapsing right now.

Cool
How did you come to the magic number of 23 countries?
One thing is certain once the collapse is done and over with the Chinese will reclaim the land they left behind. The heart land, native Mandarin speakers will again form the Republic of China. Cantonese  will form the own country, so are inner Mongolia... Most likely all three Koreans to form a country. Ten new possible but 23?

Sorry. Need to proofread better. Must have hit 2-3 rather than 3-4. But check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provinces_of_China.

Right!!!   Like, their should be gun freedom. Because a young, tiny girl can fend off a bully muscleman if she has a gun.

Muscleman was at the bar without his gun. He was simply have a relaxing drink during some pleasant conversation with some friendly buddies. A couple of small, timid girls, who he had never bothered, snuck up on him and shot him to death... because they were mean, and simply didn't like his looks or smell. The fleet-footed girls got away because his buddies were too drunk to stop them.

There really isn't any peace in this world. Somebody always has a weapon to use against someone else who is napping regarding his own self-defense. Peace in society requires everybody - at least the majority - to be peaceful and respectful in his heart, towards everyone else... or it won't work very well. We see this in the violence done by the Soros-paid-off Antifa and BLM against unsuspecting people of the general public.

We see it in the US-provoked, tiny, timid Ukraine sneaking up on Russia since at least 2014... until Russia couldn't take it any more, and had to fight back to protect herself and her people.

I thought Konashenkov can destroy 3 NATOs per day, what are they crying about now...

They aren't crying about their lack of ability to do that job... 3 NATOs per day. What they are crying about is that they don't want to be killers. They are peaceful people, being forced into killing to protect themselves.

Biden wasn't even President at the time he stole the classified documents.

Classified Documents Found At President Biden's Think Tank

The investigation into the roughly 10 documents will be conducted by the US Attorney in Chicago (shocking!), according to the sources.

The classified material was identified by personal attorneys for Mr. Biden on Nov. 2, the day before the midterm elections, Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president confirmed. The documents were discovered when Mr. Biden's personal attorneys "were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.," Sauber said in a statement to CBS News. The documents were contained in a folder that was in a box with other unclassified papers, the sources said. Same argument, same response. You think Trump did great things, and other did bad thing. Regardless of that being true or not, it does not matter at all. You can save twenty kittens, but you are still not allowed to break the law. The documents he had in his private residencies cannot be there, period. That is the law and it does not matter if you have been " a good boy" (which is not the case anyway).

I'm glad you feel that way... "Same argument, same response." This thread is about Trump for prison. But now you are saying Biden for prison. It's about time somebody started to realize this. You are great for recognizing it.

You want lawbreaking to stop? Start focusing on the far greater lawbreaking that Biden is doing. Let's get them all for the illegal things that they are doing. But if they are judged rightly, Biden would be in prison for life while Trump would only be under house arrest for a couple of days.

In other words, Biden wasn't supposed to have the documents that he had. And he wasn't even President at the time. In addition, where is the court adjudication that says that Trump was definitely doing something illegal for having those documents? So far it's all hearsay that Trump was being illegal in this way.

Please stop killing off the kittens just to pick on something that might not have even been illegal.

BREAKING: Jim Jordan to Fight Deep State by Chairing “Weaponization of Goverment” Select Committee

https://patriotalerts.com/2023/01/breaking-jim-jordan-to-fight-deep-state-by-chairing-weaponization-of-goverment-select-committee/
It looks like the GOP holdouts that refused to vote for Rep. Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, along with the others that struck a tough negotiating line with McCarthy before the vote debacle, actually won some important changes, as now the GOP is going to take the left’s weaponization of government seriously and fight against it.

That fight will take the form of a new Select Committee chaired by Jim Jordan and meant to look into the “Weaponization of Government”, particularly the government’s collusion with Big Tech to censor stories and dissidents. The Post Millenial, reporting on what the Select Committee will investigate, reported that:

    The 118th House of Representatives will see the formation of a new select committee, headed by Jim Jordan, to dig into the abuse of power and the Weaponization of Government. This investigative panel will demand emails and correspondence between the Biden administration and big tech companies, and follows the massive revelations that came to light through the recent release of the Twitter Files.

According to Axios, the Select Committee was part of the deal that hardline conservatives in Congress struck with Kevin McCarthy in exchange for voting for him to become Speaker of the House.

They don't.  He's definitely done way too many serious illegal things like refuse to hand over highly classified documents after leaving office, inciting a violent insurrection, trying to overthrow the government, or defrauding the government and other Americans for millions of dollars.  There's no time for anyone to worry about "tiny illegal things".

2948  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe religion is a setback in African development? on: January 10, 2023, 09:40:43 PM
Religion has been a part of African history for centuries. For many people, it has been a source of guidance, comfort, and community. Yet, there are some who believe that religion is a major setback in the development of African nations. This is an excellent topic that merits discussion.

On the one hand, there is no denying that religion has been used to oppress people, especially women and other marginalized groups. Religious beliefs have been used to justify discrimination, and many people feel that certain religious tenets are outdated and no longer applicable. On the other hand, religion can also be a powerful force for good in African societies. It can provide comfort to people in difficult times and bring communities together.

Ultimately, whether religion is a setback in African development is up to the individual. Some may see it as a hinderance, while others may view it as a source of strength and hope. Ultimately, it is up to each person to decide for themselves how to view religion and its impact on African development.
I am an atheist but i don't see religions themselves other then tools. Tools that in best cases can provide comfort and community and on the other hand this tool can be used and often s being used for discrimination like you said. Disctimination doesn't however need religion to thrive. It's just one vessel to spread it with.

When you talk about religion, i am guessing you are talking about some specific religion in Africa. Is it christianity? And if so, what kind of christianity? There are lot's of diversity on religions in africa and i am guessing you are not suggesting that religious diversity is the cause of problems.

The religion of atheism is a tool. How? By the way it is often used to bypass religious moral principles, and steal from and rape the people of a country.

Claiming to be followers of a formal religion doesn't make the claim to NOT be a lie. It's only when the followers of a religion live it that the religion counts.

The Christian religion has ONE major goal... eternal life for the believers. Living a good Christian life  is part of what makes it attractive so that unbelievers will want to convert, and receive eternal life.

So, the borrower pays his loan back twice:
1. First time with the promissory note he uses to get the loan;
2. Second time with the payments he makes over the years;

Promissory note is just an agreement to the terms of the loan. It can be transferred and negotiated, but using one doesnt mean you "pay back the loan twice" since using one does not pay back the loan.

That concludes this finance debate. You win in badeckerville. Congrats. I'll take the boring real world win.

You entirely ignore the fact that the promissory note or mortgage note are negotiable instruments (NI). Some other NIs are checks and money orders. If they are not technically money, they are all at least treated as money, especially by the bank.

The excess paid to banks the second time, over the years - because people don't realize that NIs are money, and that they paid off their promissory-note/NI by trading it to the bank for cash/bank-check - goes for loads of things, including into Ukraine for their military support in the war.

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev has issued ultra-provocative words claiming that it's not fundamentally Ukraine that Russia is at war with, but that the Russian military is facing all of NATO inside Ukraine.

"The events in Ukraine aren't a clash between Moscow and Kiev. It's a military confrontation of NATO, first of all the US and Britain, with Russia. Fearing a direct engagement, NATO instructors push Ukrainian men to certain death," he said in a fresh interview with state-owned newspaper aif.ru.

Patrushev continued by describing Russia's military as geared toward seeking to "free its regions from occupation and must put an end to the West's bloody experiment to destroy the fraternal people of Ukraine."

Some of these religions are forceful and violent. Others are loving and kind. Determining the best religion for Africa is going to be as difficult as for any other country.

As I understand it, one of the concessions McCarthy had to make was that he could loose his position as Speaker if two things happen at the same general time:
1. Some Member of Congress has to ask that he be removed, because...
2. He broke a commitment that he made.

All this does is give McCarthy time to find or build up Congress into the position that he wants it to be in two ways:
1. Talk enough House members into doing things the way he wants;
2. Find one or two popular members that agree with him and the war, who might win as Speaker if he were out;
Then he could break his commitment to no-more-war-funding, and the war would get funded even if he were out.

Remember. McCarthy barely made it. And he was just barely kept from making it to Speaker, mostly by Goetz alone. So, it might be easy for him to maintain the position even if he goes back on his commitments.

But if he loses the Speaker position by breaking his no-more-war-funding, by the time he does it, he might have convinced one or two popular Members to do the war support thing. One of these members could be voted in because of popularity in other areas... if McCarthy was removed for breaking a commitment.

In other words, McCarthy's position as Speaker unstable, but still could wind up being something that moves war funding ahead. It might be done through a different Speaker, however.

The thing that you and many others are missing is, the whole US and European economy is built on stolen money. It has to do with the banking system collecting loan repayment money from the people at least two times.

The people are finding out about this. And when they find out fully, they will move on to other things. It's starting with cryptocurrencies... and around the world with BRICS.

Actually the banking system only collects money to repay loans once.  If they were collecting repayment twice, people would have noticed already.  I'm sure you're right in BADeckerville, just not in the real world.

Except that when you check into it, you will find that the promissory note in a loan is a negotiable instrument (NI). Negotiable instruments are being and have been used as money. In the past (possibly for hundreds of years), many NIs were actually used as money publicly at times. The banks still use them that way by depositing them into a bank account after receiving them from the borrowers.

Following that, many of the banks trade them for cash or other NIs in ways that shows that they are money. All it takes are a few Internet searches to dig up bank pamphlets that say this, and websites that explain it.

So, the borrower pays his loan back twice:
1. First time with the promissory note he uses to get the loan;
2. Second time with the payments he makes over the years;

In addition, the interest might make it 3 or 4 times. The interest wouldn't exist if the first time (#1) had been recognized as the payment that it was.

As far as people not recognizing this, we can see how gullible people are by the fact that they think that the US is actually helping Ukraine fight a war for the benefit of Ukraine and freedom.

Government needs to up its advertising about the destructive qualities of using drugs. We need 5x the number of advertisements against drugs. In addition, government needs to get out of helping drug victims, and get away from leniency when a drug user damages someone or his property. The funds saved can easily be used for the advertising.

Let the families of the drug users help them, or the churches.

2954  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is democracy a tool used to undermine the people's will, Brazil as case study . on: January 09, 2023, 05:19:07 PM
True Democracy is a bad thing for the people. Here's why...

In a Democracy, 51% win over the 49% in their voting. This makes slaves of the 49%... slaves to the desires of the 51%.

In a large country, 51% of the people can't all govern the country directly. So, a handful of people are elected by the 51% to do the governing for them.

Then the handful of governing people do whatever they want, and the country becomes a dictatorship by a small group.

----------

The above is why the people who set up the American government made two parts to it. The formal government is a Democracy, but any part of it can be nullified by the 12-person jury in any individual case. If enough various juries nullify a part or law, it will ultimately be repealed for everyone.

Doing it this way makes the government a true government of all the people, while at the same time having the benefits of a formal government to keep order.

The problem with the US is that the people don't understand this very much. So, they don't use what they don't understand... except a little.

Btw, the American Democracy is inside of and a part of the American Republic, simply because of the above.

The other side is that inflation rewards the wise and enslaves the foolish.

In the past, homes and land were a good example of this. If your house payments are $1,000 per month, and you are earning $2,000 a month income, half your income goes towards house payment.

Your wages will go up with inflation, as will your house value. When your wages get to $4,000 a month, your house payments will only be one-fourth of your income. In addition, the value of your house will have doubled, because its real value goes up with inflation.

So, the wise person is benefited because of inflation.

So, you think Trump did bad things? He didn't do anything nearly as bad as the presidents of the last 3 decades. But he did hundreds of good things. See a short (dozens) list of them here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313290.msg60834577#msg60834577.

You don't get it. Trump did not do "bad things", he broke the law as it is written and as it is intended to be enforced. It does not matter if other people broke or did not breal the law in the past and it does not matter if you agree with him or consider him someone of value. It is about having rules and following them. The guy is so used to doing whatever he wants since he was a child that does not even know right from wrong anyway.

We all do a few illegal things here and there, now and again... illegal according to some law in government.

The question is, why do people focus on Trump's few, tiny illegal things that he MAYBE did, but ignore the loads of far worse illegal things that Biden and the Dems ARE DOING, and have been doing long before Trump ever got into government?

A lot of it has to do with the movies. People look at the acting that a President does, and make a decision about him based on what they like to see in the movies. Is that you? Or...

Are you so much in favor of the Ukraine war that you would love any President that gives money to Ukraine?... something that Trump didn't do, because it is illegal by basic American Constitutional law.

Why aren't you talking about the illegal thing that Biden and the Dems are doing when they take the money of the American people and give it away?

You probably aren't a bad person. You are simply hung up by the brainwashing the media has done to you. And before you say that I am the one who is brainwashed, answer the above questions... at least in your own mind.

The US economy is not much hurt - thought yes, China, US, and EU will not grow much next year. US will be selling weapons for the next decade like never before.
The Russian Federation is not being hurt "some", is being specifically bashed for second year in a row. And there is much more to come after breaking relations with half of the civilised world.

Ukraine will have a severe damage. If it gets an agreement with Europe, which is likely, will be rebuilt better.

US does not have "sympathy" for Ukraine. Nations do not have friends, they have interests and on this case US interests are very clear.

When the US banking system fails, there won't be anything left to support world projects with. Russia could easily become the dominant nation, because they are basing their money on real-value rather than stolen money. At least they are more in the direction of real value than stolen fake fiat money.

Cool

I do not want to get off-topic, but the fact that you despise history - probably because you think the world was created the moment you were born - perfectly explains why are you reinventing the wheel over and over, but making it a perfect square.

There is nothing psychological about it, religions and cultures coexist all over the world and is not ancient history. It is Belgium, Spain, Morocco (yes, not all Moroccans are actually Morrocans), perhaps around 10 countries in Africa, a few in Oceania and that is just to name a few... and yes, it is a question of willing to get alone and to not get poisoned from people who want to divide and confront. Again... no wonder you like Trump, your world is small and confrontational and you think you have "the right information" and any official media is by default wrong.

I commend you for your attempts to continue, especially to stay on topic. And I thank you for staying on topic indirectly, by focusing on something else, thereby showing you have stayed as far as you can stay on topic.

So, we see that the Ukrainians are just as Russian as the Russians are Ukrainian. It takes another country to push them all off balance, and that country is the US.

Why is the US doing it this way? Because the methods they were using to conquer countries in the past didn't work... at least not very well. That's why they are shoveling all kinds of money and armaments into Ukraine, and hoping that the Ukrainian people will love the money enough to fight the US war against Russia for her. It's a new world method.

Why did the US change methods? Because Russia changed to the free-trade method, and started to overcome US trade relations around the world.

How Putin's War in Ukraine Became a Catastrophe for Russia

Russian soldiers go into battle with little food, few bullets and instructions grabbed from Wikipedia for weapons they barely know how to use.
They plod through Ukraine with old maps like this one from the 1960s, recovered from the battlefield, or no maps at all.
They speak on open cellphone lines, revealing their positions and exposing the incompetence and disarray in their ranks.
