I believe in this project, always have since the beginning, and actually, it's the only alt I'm holding.
While BTCdrak might not be as active on the thread as other coin devs, the viacoin team has always delivered and I believe this to be a serious project, it's a pity i don't have support for merged mining or else i'd still be hosting this one.
btcdrak doesn't have to be active in the thread and I already said it. I also believe in the project like you do, but let's face it - without marketing and/or adoption it will be extremely hard to succeed. |

I must admit that current VIA situation is quite disturbing. Absence (not posting) of drak, new features and news are not the things which bothers me. It is the lack of marketing (therefore - adoption) and buy support. I will continue to invest in VIA, but I believe that some actions must be taken.

I really appreciate your nice words. We are really doing our best to bring the website back as it was. Very soon, we're going to have a custom design for our offchain dice game. About FAILcoin, we are having issues with compiling a linux version of the wallet... I am really sorry. I am a big fan of AltDice.net both for helping support FAIL without any questions and for providing a great service to the crypto world. So I have been in discussion with yogg to provide a VPS system free of charge to help get the service back on its feet.
Hopefully this will help and as a community although our crypto is FAIL we shouldn't let such a good service FAIL!!

Not a single coin was lost. I take the funds security very seriously. The issue was different. It was related to the entire infrastructure. We are now working on that in order to bring a more secure and resilient dicing platform. Anyway, I will give you updates about it. Thank you, yogg. Dear FAILers,
We always claimed that we are going to be honest and transparent, and that is why I am here to tell you that we have FAILed with the launch of the new FAILCoin. Why? Because we discussed many options with our lead developer about our new specs. What happened? Everything went smooth, Windows, Linux and OSX wallets were ready, but..... we've messed up our specs and now we must change them and run some tests again. New FAIL ended up with 10 coins/block reward, 70M coins in total, 1% PoS interest and about 450 days of mining. We wanted bigger PoS interest (3%) and longer mining period that is why we can't release FAIL with those specs. Please don't worry about anything! I believe that we are going to be ready with new FAIL by the end of this week, but still... I don't want to give any ETA. What I can assure you that we will continue with our work, we will be here and we will never leave FAIL!

Maybe a good longterm investment if you trade vs BTC. Its still above ICO price but BTC price was above $600 on VIA ICO. Now at ~$240 and the slow via chashout continues.
I guess there are a lot of people that like VIA (like me) but with that BTC perma downtrend its maybe not an good investment.
I'm waiting for the BTC bottom or an VIA/USD market with more volume than bittrex to buy more viacoins. But this BTC downtrend is not only an via problem. This is an generall altcoin problem
You have a good point, but I've said long term. There are 10s of coins from which you can do good profit with day trading. Currently VIA is not one of them. |

You are giving a lot of "credibility" of your opinions with your manners. I can agree that there is right and wrong and I can agree that working on Vortex was a bad decision, but I am far from thinking that Roshan is a scammer. I've lost close (or maybe more) to 1000 BTC on bad decisions since I'm involved in cryptos, but I have never cried like you do. Keep calm and think more before invest in something. |

I think you guys are missing the bigger picture here.
1. Merged mining was a smart move, because currently more people are awarded with VIA and this is preventing big dumps.
2. Look at the top addresses in the rich list. You can see that there are many strong hands.
3. By the end of 2015 there will be a lot more ASICs available and LTC will halve. I believe that this will give more value to scrypt coins.
I think that VIA currently is one of the best longterm investments, because currently I don't think that you can lose more than let's say 20-30% of your investment, but chances for nice profit are good imho. The most important thing is drak not to leave the project and probably VIA needs more marketing.

You have good point here, but about 3 weeks ago I've said that my personal opinion is that Roshan was wrong to be involved in Vortex. I am quite sure that he did it, because they paid him to do some work. If you try to start your own project here, you will understand that it's not easy at all. Some things require expenses and SFR is not exactly an ICO coin. |
