How do you get in on this distribution for later today with the Transition Bot down? I just installed Byteball and not sure what to do next? I don't have much BTC but want to try it anyway. Thanks.
i second this! i am checking my address at http://transition.byteball.org/ , but its not updated with my recent funds? (i consolidated into one address) how long does it take? is there a countdown somewhere for the lock period or w.e? and i cant add another address transition bot seems blank? :/ Bah! haha that's not very nice for a last minute btc uploading to get some more bytes. Unfortunate to say the least don't panic and let's wait a bit more

so bitcoin does not, and probably never will, fit into any existing legal system.
Math doesn't need to fit into legal systems. Legal systems need to fit into Math! Agreed It’s like asking why is Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony beautiful. If you don't see why, someone can't tell you. I know numbers are beautiful. If they aren't beautiful, nothing is. Paul Erdos

Sad, I had to stop trading BTC for the snapshot. Yes, the same but at least I know I'll be getting some nice Bytes and BlackBytes. And, more importantly, I will sleep better tonight!!! Happy new distribution everybody

Post the rejection of ETF, bay seems to have jumped up in price. I presume those who had sold bay to buy bitcoins are coming back. Seems that way... crypto is bullish. Who needs their crazy regulation and bureaucracy. That is for the dinosaurs, the old way of doing thing. Takes them years to make a boring decision. And their premises were a tad hypocritical the entire PDF was a rant. Varying opinions of the subject were balanced. And still they complain of overseas exchanges but forget that many corporations they support are not registered in the states. Also they are questionably subject to more manipulation because nothing they do is transparent and favors sharks. Many companies hold more than 51% premium stock. Then of course they claim to want to protect consumers but forget about Enron, Bernie Madoff and Facebooks obviously manipulated nonsense IPO. Who needs them? And I've also heard that it would be too much trading of paper as opposed to moving a real commodity so it can harm the price temporarily. The thing I thought was bullish was the arbitrage (which the SEC complained about ironically) and the injection of billions of dollars to the market of fresh money. But perhaps those investors will get frustrated with the old way of doing things and simply buy BTC directly. Or better yet, ALTCOINS! To be honest I was almost certain they would accept it due to political positioning. But perhaps that was an oversight as the powers that be might have other plans bank related or delayed timing. Pretty much the best answer to give to anybody who is whining for missed ETF approval. I totally agree. F+++ that we don't need no corporate/gov etf crap. We are already able to build our own decentralized markets to trade our own wealth.

How many total times of distributions there? It will be 3rd time soon, so it should be more times in the future, right?
under current rules it will take 1.5-2 years to distribute all bytes. I like it this way: it seems a quite a good time frame. There was no ICO here so I totally understand and support this kind of coin distribution. It gave us time and info to do informed decision whether to come on the train or not.

Reading about the ETF decision on the Web I think I'm very much glad this was not approved. Bitcoin will live anyway and one day, when one ETF will eventually be approved, we will not need it anymore. Actually if all that drama helped the price going up, I'm fine with it. I predicted 713 after ETF fail and massive fud campaign, I knew I was wrong as soon as it dumped to around $1k, saw the spread open up and 1800 BTC sell orders get scarfed up like someone spilled a bag of crack in a back alley..
At that moment I thought "holy crap BTC is King Kong STRONG!" and knew, well thought, that the hit was going to be much less than anyone expected..
Now I think that one everyone realizes how much of an absolute beast BTC is, get over their fears of a second dump, BTC is going to pump..
I'm out of a fiat exchange right now but almost hedged in dash during the kill but forgot I was ban evading on a different account with no capitol in it so missed it, lol.. I'm very pleased with these results..
I need to round up my balls, trade more aggressively, put it on the line, and trust my gut more..
Nice

The last six hours have been the most annoying ones in my life: lot of people calling me to know why the pump started without the ETF being approved and so on. I need to change number. There are a few hours left to know if the decision will come out today. I hate the wait and see game

Is it vDice have any Affiliates program? I see on your site, but there are only couple words about Affiliates and partners, and nothing more or specific conditions.
I think there is not affiliate program on vdice.io at least for right now, but i think it will there is affiliate program in the future because as you said there were couples words about. So let's wait and see updating from developers of vdice.io will gives us completes informations. Thanks Affiliates program has a good dimension. encourages people to their own initiative to make promotions and marketing thing in favour of the vDice. I think is best options for Motivation people to share experience and possibility They could have limited funds to spend on advertising right now and don't want to overdo it. The signature campaign is quite expensive, but it significantly increases the traffic. Maybe an affiliate program will come in the near future. Different advertising program would make vdice more popular and it's not a big deal to spend on marketing as long as the purpose is achieved. For now, since it's still new in the community, they should be very aggressive in the marketing aspect. We help this vdice to spread awareness to the people who love to play a different type of gambling. Yes, I agree. I have come to know many projects via this kind of advertising. Marketing should always be done with a clear objective in mind: what we want to communicate and how we do it. I personally like dice games and when I saw you guys promoting this I informed myself a bit and decided to help promoting this one.

Considering BitBay as it is right now would you think a 5000 satoshi per Bay is a reachable price target at some point? I mean there are many coins out there but this one is truly underpriced. Latest update is great, cold staking is the right evolution for PoS. Hope this will get known soon.

can we get to soem normal exchange finally? we are on some random and untrusted one. why not get to bittrex ?
can we get a normal exchange that doesnt trade only gigabytes but normal numbers? we need serious one like bittrex or so, not unknown one like now
this is not looking good for the coin
Will you stop whining about that please? why this coin is only on some strange exchange?
can we get bittrex not some scam exchange? also not everybody has gigabytes, bytes should be traded too
can we get to soem normal exchange finally? we are on some random and untrusted one. why not get to bittrex ?
Can you please stop sig spamming this thread? either contribute to the discussion or stop whining about asking for another exchange. We have all the exchange we need right now and we can p2p trades

This was the right time for a good poll: it would have been good to hear from all of us here about the possible price target in both cases: ETF approval or rejection. IMHO I see the value could go down to $850 if rejected, up to $1500 if approved. In first case I see a fast correction because new people will come onboard rather soon

I was thinking about the news headlines after SEC's decision: Scenario A: Rejected Bitcoin is dead, not even good for an Exchange-traded fund Scenario B: Approved Blockchain gets an ETF......
|
|
|
The next byteball airdrop will surely be remembered: the Securities and Exchange Commission will let us know whether or not the COIN ETF from the Winklewosses got final approval or rejection while us, following byteball, wait for the next byteball distribution round.
Exciting times indeed

Why doesn't this GIF post? I've seen people do it but for some random reason this shows as invalid?! I have the same when uploading gifs from giphy here. you have to find the same gif on another site or upload it yourself in other sites which don't use https. At least that solved the thing for me

Byteball Community Announcement
snip
You should start a info blog on the main internet site for this so that we don't lose these kind of information in this thread. It would be good either way to have a news section in the byteball website. Just a thought

I had the same thinking about the decision. I'm pretty sure it will be announced on Monday at this point it it gets approved. Otherwise, as you mention, it may be possible a delay that may sparkle another weekend bull run.

"Psychology is another factor. When people assume the belief that “it’s different this time,” it’s time for buyers to beware. Asset prices never increase indefinitely. Bitcoin is no different in this regard."
Above the discriminating factor when talking about bitcoin today

Remarkable recovery
I was sleeping. I did not feel anything: what dump? Recovered fairly soon

If I was a newcomer I would prefer buying byteballs and link them more than link any btc address because the ratio is much better for byteball holders. Linking BTC was good in the first round unless you have a huge pile.
