2941  Economy / Economics / Re: Confirmed NGN banks blocking account, what could be the outcome on the economy? on: February 12, 2021, 02:37:57 PM
I think this is against human rights, if someone has dealt with crypto-currency when there was no ban on it, and then there was a ban, their account can't be freezed on account that they dealt in crypto-currency before the ban, well am in Nigeria and I haven't heard of such complaint, but there is nothing too petty that Nigerian government can't do. I think such ban would affect many that has found self employment from crypto-currency in a country that job are scares, and people like me would had started to use crypto-currency as a way to see ourselves through life's problem and ends meet, it's just wicked for my government to take such stand.
2942  Economy / Economics / Re: Will New York become a Bitcoin hub on: February 12, 2021, 01:59:36 PM
Anytime I see this news I think of how my country is going backward, we everyone is going the right way forward, country are priding themselves to adopt crypto-currency and making their jurisdiction area Bitcoin loving, my country which was Africa fastest Bitcoin adopters placed a ban on it, calling it The reasons for, the nation naira devaluation, source of crime and many more.
2943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Man in Mexico Updates his Twitter Bio to Include Bitcoin on: February 12, 2021, 09:37:09 AM
If I where to be and investor, -regardless of my wealth- and I invested in something and sooner than I thought my profit from it clearly told on my net worth, I think I would add that business or thing to my bio on every social media I choose to expose my sort of business, and it's a billionaire trend to front their business success, and tell the world how successful they can be on some business they invest in.
2944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 11, 2021, 06:25:52 PM
Liverpool won’t win the title now. They are 10 points behind City & City have one game less. There is no shame for them, they have so many injuries, City are just better this season. Liverpool need to worry more about guaranteeing a top 4 finish. They can not lose to Leicester.
It's early to count and write out Liverpool from becoming the 2020/2021 English premier champion,  in 2018/2019 season when Manchester city became champions, Liverpool had a good lead at the top, but let it close up, I think Liverpool would put this shadow matches behind them, and go for wins, and the important games are the ones they play.
2945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 11, 2021, 06:14:30 PM
Even if athletico Madrid start to lose their matches, would Barcelona start to win all theirs, Barcelona even when they win, go behind in too many matches, and when the go down to a strong team like Sevilla, coming back won't be as coming back from weaker team, the defense are now water tight and it's Barcelona problem, I think this season is not better than the last one only for the discovery of new young players.
2946  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Nigeria local board on: February 07, 2021, 08:38:56 PM
Local Board is a place for bad English speakers, it will help them to be informed and speak whatever is easy for other users to understand. However, because the increase in bitcoin users there is quite significant, it's a good idea for the forum admin to consider your idea.
I support your idea that it is time you have your own local board. Given that so many people there spoke English, would it not die or have little activity in the long run ?

The board won't won't be speaking English but it would be speaking pidgin English it's a form of English but a vulgar format for the not so sound in fluent English, and they communicate in that way, many Nigerians has a lot to contribute but shying away of how to put there post in, I think a local board can help them before they are ripe to go in to main/prominent boards.
2947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin go up to $1000k? on: February 07, 2021, 08:28:36 PM
If 1000k is meant to be 1 million dollars then Bitcoin would need many years to reach it, I don't know the amount of years Bitcoin would need, but I think 1 million dollars is a very high amount with the current amount less than 40 thousand Dollars then a million is a very high amount to hope for Bitcoin but it's an amount that Bitcoin can do but in 2040-2050.
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 07, 2021, 08:22:04 PM
First half and Chelsea are leading Sheffield United by a goal, I thought that chelsea would blow Sheffield United to the dust, but the lead is what Chelsea want, I think the second half would be better for Chelsea, I think the sack of lampard for a move that was good for Chelsea team and with the amount of money spend in transfer much was expected from the team.
2949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So lets talk honest now about btc on: February 07, 2021, 07:47:54 PM
Big cash, look for big paying work, if everyone in crypto-currency gets big cash then even the government will not ban Bitcoin, I think the BS is what your post is about, Bitcoin is not a million dollars well for everyone, so don't waste time to find another million dollars schemes, and then your can come back to invest.
I have been here one year and some month and I think I have gotten the big bucks but am loving it all the way.
2950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Not Find Out Who Sent Me Merit?? on: February 07, 2021, 07:41:51 PM
Am amazed that this is not known to you, if you know how to go to your profile, and you know how to see your merit then you can see your merit is in blue meaning it's click-able then if your curiousity is right you would click it and then all this would be known to you, I always advice -Newbie- which I think you not one, to search more.
2951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 07, 2021, 06:17:00 PM
I don't know about others but the 2020/2021 season league winners is wrapped, I always felt that Liverpool would retain their championship, but after losing to Burnley And Brighton, and now Manchester city I think its a wrap, and Manchester city will win the league, and with there outstanding match and still topping the league every other team has nothing on them.
2952  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Nigeria local board on: February 07, 2021, 02:57:14 PM
I think the reason why the request was denied in the past is because all of the Nigerians On Bitcointalk speak English and admins probably didn't think a Pidgin English board would have many users. But if the number of Nigerians is much higher now, it makes sense that you guys have your own local. However, if your local would allow users to write in English as well, the admins might turn down the idea. A Pidgin English only local would have better chances.

I think you are correct, and to add, and some may find it new, pidgin English is not a language thats familiar to Nigerians alone but some African countries, such as Ghana are familia with the language, and they maybe excited to connect since we not only connected by the language but by distance.
2953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 07, 2021, 02:35:56 PM
Tottenham Hotspur has regained wining forming by wining finger biting west brom, a goaless first half it played and with harry Kane have several chances but missed, he reconciled that error with the opener and his partner in crime Son heung-min doubling the goal, I think this can bring in believe into the team.
2954  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria is now the No.2 bitcoin market on this fast-growing global marketplace on: February 07, 2021, 02:20:10 PM
Am a Nigerian and I can say that the Ban on Crypto-currency by the Central bank of Nigeria is more than safe guarding the country but an approach against the youth of Nigeria, there was a time Nigerian youth was protesting against bad governance and police brutality and for this peaceful protest, they needed money to fund it and the Federal government approached to freezing account, and they shifted to Bitcoin, now they Federal government has decided in a rush to ban crypto-currency.
2955  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Nigeria local board on: February 07, 2021, 01:21:38 PM
I would support this, and not just for the fact am a Nigerian but
+ Nigeria is the most populated black nation and very resourceful, and excited about crypto-currency
+ many African nation see Nigeria as a pillar of example and if Nigeria board get shape they can be encouraged of the free and fairness of forum
+ help other members know about the fast growth of crypto-currency, which may foster business friendship.
+ also for -Newbie- Nigerians coming to the forum which are much, they can have a sense of relief and be bold to ask question in their frequently used words, thereby learning more.
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 06, 2021, 03:53:45 PM
Its half time and Brighton leads Burnley 1:0 and Southampton lead Newcastle by 2:1, Brighton has been a team in playing good games, beating Tottenham and Liverpool along the way, I think they playing Bravely, and not giving Roam to be complacent, I think they would win it at full time, Southampton are coming back with not such a great response after an embarrassing 9:0 loss to Manchester united.
2957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about exchanging your bitcoin for stablecoins? on: February 06, 2021, 03:40:43 PM
There is a colleague of mine waiting on Bitcoin to get to 45,000$ to transfer her Bitcoin to stable coin and if the price is below 20,000$ she would transfer it to stable coin, this person bought Bitcoin last year and the price was affordable for her, I think its FOMO for her because when she bought it never had she thought it would be breaking ATH in less than 4-6 months, to her it was her plan that can early, I think its a personal decision and I don't talk people into it or out of it.

2959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are more friendly with Bitcoin? on: February 06, 2021, 02:47:56 PM
Among the list I only represent Bitcoin and and if crypto-currency will be in the future, Bitcoin will be at the heart of things, am not an alt-coin holder yet, I don't have any Ethereum based wallet or have any alt-coin on any wallet but the side by side movement of Bitcoin and ethereum is iconic so I don't know how they would be placed in the future but the two coin of the future on your list in my opinion are those two -Bitcoin and ethereum-.
2960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain adoption on: February 06, 2021, 01:59:00 PM
Virtually the system can not be without a fee, although recently the high transaction fees frustrated me, but I would be greedy if I want to perform Any transaction without fees and with what my bank takes from me for maintenance, I find the transaction fees a bearable problem. There are many things the world adopted and they have fees, from subscription fees to tariff fees And more.
