2941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: April 11, 2020, 05:15:43 PM
According to them, the reason behind this is they're confident that children know already about the money.
Children don't know about the money. But even if the children don't know about the money, they may still get another bad impact from playing gambling repeatedly. They will make gambling be their habit because playing on it regularly. It is not a good thing for children, they can be addicted too early to gambling. Addiction from a very young age will be hard to recover, this will harm their future.
The perceptions of gaining money in this kind of ways in life will be established as they will think that gambling is a good source of earning money.
Children mostly can't justify what's good and what's not in life they should be well guided if they will be allow to gamble from their young minds
it will be difficult to change them once they've got addicted.

Yup, they will bring it even in school. Just like my classmate in grade school. We always play everything with the involvement of money because of him. He always urge us to gamble with his money so we can double up our allowance to buy a certain toy after school. Now I think he is cheating, he always win. We are always the losers. We think its cool back then, but that's gambling.
I also remember my classmate in college, we ended in guidance office because we got caught by one of our professors. He is the most punished since he was the one who brought the playing cards to the school.
I can tell that he is addicted to gambling because he always tell us that he started at a very young age and he learned playing to his father. So I guess one of the main factor is also the environment.
2942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if BTC never reaches all time high? on: April 09, 2020, 07:00:19 PM
If it's not then it's not, as simple as that. However, I doubt about that possibility because in my point of view btc grow bigger and bigger which later can definitely result to price increase later.
What's wrong with speculation then? the core of the price is the speculation from people behind your bitcoin. With the price of it right now, it seems like we are getting back on our feet to continue the phase of halving, yet I'm very positive that we are heading a good market, a bullish one.

After this pandemic, there's a big chance that many government around the globe will realized how significant a cashless transaction is and this is where Bitcoin may enter Smiley. They may finally accept crypto payments within their countries, more and more people might adopt such kind of technology, and big businessmen might also invest unto it. Who knows Wink?
I hope so, there is a huge chance of cryptocurrency to be fully recognized and adopted by the government after this. Crypto payments are already in the reality, however it is not that fully utilized by many so I'm thinking that we are going to see more often of cryptocurrency payments in malls and online shops.
2943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto get inspiration about developing Bitcoins? on: April 09, 2020, 06:10:28 PM
I think that Satoshi got inspired by the earlier "digital money" consepts.
I'm hella sure that he read that before making his own concept since it was out long time ago even at the time he thought of it.

He might have been inspired by the Friedrich Hayek theory about "competing money"(I don't remember the correct term).Friedrich Hayek wanted money to be out of the control of central banks, because central banks monetary policies were damaging the business cycle and creating inflation.
The concept of a currency, that isn't controlled by any central bank or government in the world is the main idea of Bitcoin. That consept isn't invented by Satoshi itself.
He may be, but I'm also calling Wei Dai (which could be the real Satoshi with some old conspiracies) to be his inspiration since Wei Dai developed cryptography library and created the B-money cryptocurrency system. It was not the recession that happened in 2008, simply the dates will tell you why.
2944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think news can change the Crypto Market Sentiment very easily? on: April 09, 2020, 05:36:33 PM
Bitcoin's price is not dependent on just a single factor. It is influenced by many factors and news is one of them.
I have personally seen cases where a news has triggered a good spike in bitcoin's price.
So in my opinion it does influence cryptocurrencies' price.
It does not depend on the single factor, maybe the news is just one of it but holds a lot of percentage to influence the price. Not all the factors that affects the price of bitcoin has the same amount of effect, do you think Craig's opinion matter every time he speaks? ofcourse it does not but a global news like corona virus can really affect the movement of price especially when it is very serious. However it depends to the people, people are the ones behind the price so the price is people and the only thing you can influence is the people.
2945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Central Bank Admits It Can’t Ban Bitcoin on: April 09, 2020, 04:45:55 PM
Cryptocurrencies are illegal in Russia only because of the conservatism of power. Of course, they will not be able to ban them, there will not be enough strength or money to completely exclude cryptocurrency in Russia. Aleksey Guznov literally just over a week ago announced a complete ban on cryptocurrencies in Russia, and has already managed to change his mind. It is clear that the law on the ban was spontaneous and he did not even understand the issue.

Even if they completely ban Bitcoin still, they couldn't stop it since it was decentralized. Most countries could ban Bitcoin but only in their country but not entirely. And what could possibly be their reasons why they have to ban Bitcoin if it didn't cause any harm to them? Bitcoin is just a technology/tools used by the bad people to take advantage of what others couldn't do.
Yeah, so they admit it and every country should admit it too. You cannot just cut the use of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin unless you decided to cut the internet off of your country and lose all your data and satellites. They don't need to tell us this, they don't even need to ban it coz there is not absolute reason to do it. Russians are strong when it comes to technology, and ever try to hinder the new added one. Decentralization of the network made it possible to make the banning useless and the government knows about it.
2946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 09, 2020, 03:21:24 PM
Everyone knows Craig is Satoshi.
Everyone?

Stop joking man.
rofl. Craig? really? isn't he the one who is taking shit with bitcoin? Although he is Computer Scientist never I imagine that he is going to be the creator of it. Most of people here disregarded his claims coz no one is really believing to him, but why? simply because if he does then he should be promoting it and not spreading negativity about it. Basic logic will analyze.
I don't want to think that he's already dead. Just like the opinion of others, he left bitcoin and probably moving on to another project with the same vision.
Yeah me too, I want to think that he is alive and is smiling because of what he created but man he is not having a glimpse on the media even a anonymous message for us all. I think what Satoshi's message is the bitcoin itself.
2947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: April 09, 2020, 01:41:08 PM
I think that during various competitions, the spectators are exposed to the risk of infection in the first place! Sometimes there are tens of thousands of spectators! And there's a high probability that the infection will spread... Therefore, temporary losses in sporting events will be recovered after quarantine is lifted!

Across the world and in all fields Corona virus 2019 has impacted to everyone. Many countries or cities are in the lockdown mode and world is already in the recession. Also not sure when will the lockdown gets open up and virus get completely away from this earth. It is testing times for all and better to have savings in such times so that it is helpful in the future when required as downturn will continue for some more time.

The pandemic seems to hard to handle because no one's really ready, even an alternative solution for this one. Many things are laying low due to the disease, NBA paused their season to avoid their players getting infected after some of them have tested positive with the virus. USA with 400K confirmed cases have to do a lot of work to get the virus out especially in New York City which is the heart of their economy.
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 09, 2020, 12:33:44 PM
This might be the right time, but I think it still depends on the gambler because even if this lockdown affects everything including sports, they can still do other gambling activities.
This lockdown may be used as their chance to at least lessen or totally recover from their addiction, it is all about their choice and their willingness to forget their gambling activity.
I bet even the non-gambler would play during these days of pandemic, why? because we are all bored for just staying at home. Obviously, us, gamblers would get so much time playing in online casinos
and quitting or coming out of addiction in gambling is pretty impossible for now although it really depends on the person if he really wants to quit. Gambling is not as conventional as the others think, it also comes along
with getting rid of anxiety and depression.
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Gambling Platforms. on: April 08, 2020, 05:42:41 PM
We have more complete list and more information about the casino https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5149105.0

Better thread topic like this rolled into one thread on that thread just update the list on the thread cause we already have so much thread with a topic like this.

that's a long list. some of them are not advertised here in the forum. i go over the list and found ph.casino. they do have the live topless dealer waving her boobs every time.  Shocked this is the kind of casino that will keep you up even when you are losing. but it must be consider nswf so the reason why its not doing campaigns here.
What? I would love to play on that platform then haha lol. Kidding aside, I don't find the live dealing casino with naked girls waving their titties that relevant for someone who wants to play for the money, it can defocus you from playing isn't it? I find the list given by the OP too short however the listed platforms are also given have reputations in the forum, in fact some did have campaigns here but we are going to list the full gambling platforms I guess we are going to take a long time listing it all.
2950  Economy / Economics / Re: How long this crisis will be? on: April 08, 2020, 02:39:17 PM
In Wuhan, they had a very strict lockdown for 11 weeks (two and half months). So the bare minimum is 2.5-3 months. But we also need to remember that the crisis peaks in one country and then moves to the next one. First it was China, then it was South Korea and Iran before moving on to the European Union. It has peaked in Italy and Spain, but the situation looks hopeless in France/UK/Sweden. And during the past few days, huge number of new cases are being reported from the United States.
If we base to the cases of covid to call it the new epicenter then we should say it's the U.S.A,  the new epicenter of the virus with over 400,000 confirmed cases which is a lot more cases than the second that
only have 140,000 in Spain. We can say that China get rid over the virus with 90% recovery rate but I'm not as satisfied as I should be because it is very suspicious. If we are talking how long this would take us
to conquer, I'd say we are in half of getting this disease be gone as doctors are seeing the light after having a recovery from patient that had a plasma therapy from another recovered patient.

2952  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese Strategy? on: April 08, 2020, 01:37:00 PM
It's true that Chinese market didn't crash as the other markets but I think they correct in the future as there is a sharp fall in demand which will affect the Chinese economy as they are major exporting country and the way the managed the spread is still not believed by several people but if they do it a legit way then its a great thing which everyone should follow
Is it great that the world is struggling? yet China has seen 90% recovery rate from covid cases. There is really something fishy, what's going on? Wuhan is just a 1000 KM away from Beijing yet there are no
massive effects are being brought to Beijing, but Wuhan to New York City which is 12,000 KM away from Wuhan is having a hard time containing the virus. Naturally, near provinces in the epicenter of pandemic should
have more cases than those who are away. Something is really fishy isn't it?
2953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: April 07, 2020, 08:05:57 PM
That would be a great website considering there are a lot of other casual games that you could do with it. The factor right now is that you are going to take a long time (depending on the level of the competition) in Chess just to finish a game. I'm wondering if there are serious people who want that?
For some people, they want a quick games like dice that's why dice is on top of casinos right now. Chess game would take so much time especially when both end are great with it, so I guess it is a turn down however there are people who is much competent with this kind of game and you can attract them with it. I'm just curious on how would that be possible and how the bets are going to place.

Probably an online tournament would be the ideal practice here. Starting an online competition would be nice.
Online tournament would be good, but it needs to click first in the market. I love the idea of online chess competition held in one of gambling platform.
2954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: April 07, 2020, 07:39:03 PM
Agree, it's not the time to be tempted on gambling since we need to save money since lockdown and quarantine are still implemented to avoid COVID-19. If you'll gonna waste money then It'll be over for you if the ECQ extends for a longer time. Gambling can wait, practice your self-control, it might fix your behavior towards gambling.

Save and keep your money, spend it on foods. Keep safe always!
It is very likely that most gamblers are already implementing this advice, this is not the time to spend our money in luxuries, we need that money in the case things get even worse and if this means spending less money in our gambling activities for some time then it must be done, even if I like gambling from time to time there are many things that we can do to entertain ourselves that could be very cheap or even free, if we do that then we can keep most of our money and if things improve quickly and we do not need to use that money to buy supplies then you could always gamble with that money in the future.
Not all of us are here to entertain themselves, some are really professional gambler especially when they are playing a skill based games in online casinos. Besides, in times like this gamblers know their limitation since we have quarantine state all over the world, if they are not fool enough they will prioritize storing their food on fridge than risking it on gambling right? Just a quick thought, what if casinos will put a limited playing time? would it be that bad for them or their players during these times?
2955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first BTC ATM in Nigeria on: April 07, 2020, 06:47:37 PM
Sorry,in which of the Nigeria. The NIgeria where Buhari is the president?
Ofcourse, Is there someone who should ?

well, it's a good news if, so. Atiku did mention legalization of virtual currency in Nigeria if, he's elected as the president Unfortunately, he lost the election.
However, it will be great if, BUhari has same idea!
Nigeria has come to judgment and I love what they did. We know Nigeria for too long and I can really say that they are true to their ambition with bitcoin and everything that will progress their country. I know because back in the day, crypto related projects were full of Nigerian directors almost every project that I joined the CEO is Nigerian or Indian and this must be the reason why they achieve to let this things happen in their country. I haven't use any of ATMs that support bitcoin yet, but I hope there will be a good result.
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My record of information about gambling investments. on: April 07, 2020, 05:40:03 PM
Indeed right, investment is always good and not to let your Bitcoin sleep in your wallet. But always remember the DYOR first before putting your money.
Not all the time, even the most trusted website could also possibly scam people.
True, been hell through this a lot. It is not what you see on the platform, it is what the platform's intention. Researching before investing makes your life a lot comfortable knowing that you put your hard earned money to someones wallet who is capable if fulfilling his promises. It is not just about how your money will multiply in a few months, it's about how your money progress even in slow motion.
For me, holding in my wallet is safer and I can sell it right away, investing all your holdings and trust it in a website is quite risky given the fact that investing in a bankroll does not guarantee a good return, and there's even no info that tells how profitable investing is on the thread that was summarize by OP.
I guess the OP defined saving as it it will be just store the value, nothing to win and nothing to lose. Investments are pretty good with respect to time especially when it is in goods hands, risky but worth it.
2957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Correlation with Stocks is Dropping on: April 06, 2020, 07:19:56 PM
This was expected because investors were probably pull back their crypto or non-crypto assets into fiat just because preparing in covid19 lockdown.
Yeah, Looking at the bigger picture this is the problem that everything is facing not just the stock market, crypto space or oil industry. What I mean by everything is literally everything. The pull downs are due to the virus, we don't have any thing to blame but this one coz it's not a coincidence. And this is not the first time that we have seen a market declining because of the pandemic, we already seen it from the past.

I f you will see, this pandemic has a huge impact on the global market. Sometimes we think that it is correlated or just a coincidence. It is really hard to explain but experts have explanation on this by their predictions and theories and 90% the same result. Just because of covid19.
There is no direct correlation however this is not a coincidence, so what is it then? I have nothing to coin it but it is pretty obvious tho.
2958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] ESL One Los Angeles 2020 MAJOR [GAMBLING DISCUSSION] on: April 06, 2020, 06:45:02 PM
Yeah, my bad.

But the whole major will be done online so I don't think it is the matter of going across the country but because of the internet connection they have. That is the reason why Topson and Midone can't join the lineup.
Went every team playing an online tournament, most of them will be playing at their own Bootcamp.
Wouldn't be it so comfortable playing at your own PC? coz I find it too comfy and it is a confidence gainer as a matter of fact. The only problem is the internet connection stability, they should come up with back up internet provider so they could just easily switch from another if ever there is a server or lagging issue. We will be watching monsters playing at their own caves, too exciting isn't it?

If each person playing on their own place would be not good for the teamwork, discussion strategy, and draft. I think the problem not an internet connection, but about teamwork will be not maximal since they only discuss using a mic. That's why they using Ceb & 33 to fill the empty slot, since Ceb & 33 was free,
Bad news is that Topson is not playing, good news is that Sumail is getting back to middle lane. Can't wait to study the movement on the map with Sumail on mid.
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Suggestions for online gamblers on: April 06, 2020, 05:35:01 PM
I like this community I always saw a thread like this that always reminds people to avoid addiction. We are very lucky here that we are always reminded of each other sharing ideas like this. Perhaps a gambler that came from this community will never be addicted because you can apply these kinds of suggestion, --if you are solely in gambling. Indeed, these are nonsense if you did not apply in your self.
Still what were the use of those threads because we are continuously seeing a lot of people are still getting gambling addiction and losing their hard earned money. I mean to say these kind of discussions will not stop those gamblers but they will learn their lessons by their own way. I am not saying that we do not need such threads but I feel only part of this community acts in responsible way and rest of community never understand their own responsibilities.

These threads will serve its original purposes only when we trigger gambler to start realizing their life's responsibilities. Only for a responsible gambler, being controlled while gambling will be possible like OP suggested. The first thing is enabling this community to realize their responsibility as a gambler then suggestions to them wills tart working.

This forum, especially this thread is just an extension of the mind more likely to support every one on what they are taking in relate to cryptocurrency. Well as a gambler it is your duty to ensure your safety dealing with online casinos that is why researching is vital that would cost you a little time in exchange of prevention to lose everything. I've seen some people are having hard time dealing with their addiction, mental health and other negative stuff caused by gambling, the real problem is with them coz if they want to change their lifestyle they should start changing their mindset first.
2960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: April 06, 2020, 04:52:10 PM

I voted for Sports betting but the voting suggests dice game to be the most safest for the newbies. I dont agree to this as dice games are not the safe, they are risky one. Yes, dice games are easy to play for the newbies.
Probably that is right but OP's ask about gambling that they can play during this lockdown. All sports events are affected with the coronavirus pandemic breakout so maybe all events have been canceled and I heard that also NBA sports were now canceling their events too.
More likely it is, however I've been reading some news that E-sports in different games are trying to bring up a online tournament so there might a chances that you can place a bet on it too. Sadly, physical games like in NBA, Football etc. are cancelled due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Even me, I suffer from not watching NBA lol.

I tent to agree that the high odds games are risky but yet they are easy to learn. My suggestion always has research on which game they were suitable, there are too many gambling sites out there that not based on luck that usually high odds. Or maybe E-sports but make sure their game was verified.
I started playing with card games since I know a lot of card games but then it turns out that dice are way more fun and all you need is luck getting pretty much enough for a 50 50 prob.
