Indeed, just like foreigner playing as import in the PBA getting a bigger salary than the locals.

Yes, but we are used to see Americans playing as import in PH not Filipinos playing as import abroad. I mean, it's a big recognition for the Filipino professional players getting an offer abroad as it does not happen all the time and we owe that to the B-League.

AFAIK, only one Filipino are playing in big leagues like the NBL in Australia and that is Kai Sotto.

It's very rewarding if you are satisfied with the salary, in fact, the B League offers a bigger salary than in the PBA, and yet some players who were invited to join still choose to stay. There are rumors that Romeo, Abueva, and Fajardo are invited but they remain loyal to the current league.

Definitely agree with you because there are star players in the PBA that choose to play in the B- League. One example is Ravena, he was already a star player of the NLEX, so I expect that he is receiving a big salary, and yet he choose to play abroad due to a bigger opportunity or increase of salary.

Speaking of B-League, we have fresh news that I just read today about an SMB player who is set to play in B-Leauge.

2943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 03, 2022, 07:16:48 AM

No chance for the Nets to be in the top 6, with the loss to the Hawks, they'll be in the play-in tournament.

I don't understand why Irving and Durant try to do everything in the scoring department, they don' share the ball well, in this loss, only two of them have scored a double-digit, not good for a team.

If they will lose in the play-in tournament, that would be a major disappointment for the fans because they were expecting the Nets to compete in the playoff which is in jeopardy right now because of the current play they have in court which does not really have a good result so far. luckily only a few games left in the season because if there were more games, they are more likely to become like the Lakers who are out of the play-in tournament.

Of course, fans will be disappointed as it's another super team not able to make it to the playoffs. We slowly accepted that the Lakers has a very less chance of making the playoffs based on how they are playing now, but not seeing the Nets, I think that's another big thing, and I don't believe that it will happen.

Simmons has not played yet, imagine how it will improve the defense if he will be in the court.
I hope he will fit though.  Smiley

There’s also a bonus if a player got an individual award aside from getting a bonus on winning the title,
Yes, they have. I think I've read it in the past years that those that got awards have their special bonus aside from the overall bonus that they've got for being a champ.
That's already out of the reported salary, maybe non-taxable, so they will enjoy that bonus.
For individuals and as a team, both would receive an award, I'm even thinking that Ginebra and Meralco are already getting an award now that they are in the PBA Finals.

playing Basketball in PBA is also rewarding, you just need to prove your worth and you can be good imagine how much money you can make on every conference. Meralco vs Ginebra is a good match up, no more bias games and placing your bet is not easy here, so think well before you bet.
This is entirely for any sport not just in basketball and in the league of PBA. It's truly rewarding if you've made a name on your area, you'll get a lot of recognition and very lucrative in a manner that you can retire early but due to opportunities, you really have to hit them first.

Poor Durant. Scored career high 55 but still lost. Ice Trae was in the building! Quavo is happy, whole Atlanta is happy.

I guess Durant is fighting for the scoring title for this season that's why he tried to score as much as he can. And yeah, we all know how Ice cold Trae Young is, so of course he will deliver in front of home crowd with 36 big points to go with 8 assists. So they move go 8th solo and with their 5th straight win.

No chance for the Nets to be in the top 6, with the loss to the Hawks, they'll be in the play-in tournament.

2946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 02, 2022, 12:31:30 PM
Bucks' game was a trap, suddenly rest their stars. While Clippers need that win so they could keep the 8th spot. I think they are safe in that position now or they are 1 win away to keep it.
2 upset games that I watched. Nuggets were defeated by the T'wolves where I lost my bet and Dallas Mavericks were blown out by the Wizards.
Caldwell Pope red hot and the Unicorn helping to defeat his former team.
I got a parlay for the Spurs, Celtics, Raptors, and Mavs to win. Sadly, the Mavs was the only one who let me down and broke it.  Cry

Everyone lost today, even the Suns were outplayed by the Memphis. But I do agree that the Bucks games was not expected, I have them -5.5 against the Clippers and when I got the time to check the score, it was Clippers with a huge lead.

Celtics win but didn't cover the spread, it was a total disaster for us NBA bettors.

If you assume that majority of the bettors' bets are on the favorites, then you are right it's a bad day for us. However, some bettors are too smart to carefully analyze the game, and they just don't bet on the favorite without making deep research first.

For me, I expected Memphis to cover because they have been playing excellent basketball, in fact, they are in the good run so covering the handicap is very possible, but they exceed my expectation because they win the game.
2947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 02, 2022, 11:52:47 AM
...>< it was Harris in game 4 but he was injured in this game which the Meralco has taken it as an advantage to beat the Magnolia.
Bad game for the Hotshots, they were up early but they weren't able to keep the lead and allow the Meralco to have a big run. Because the game was very physical, injuries cannot really be avoided, and if Harris wasn't injured, I guess Meralco would say goodbye, but they got lucky so let's welcome them to the PBA Finals. (GINEBRA in 4) Grin

When Harris got injured, it was over for the Hotshots. They can't find anybody to carry them offensively as Paul Lee really struggles in this series while Ian Sangalang was not so effective down low, i thought before the series that this is for the Hotshots to win because they have Sangalang and Abueva that will hassle them in the board but i am totally wrong lol.

With Pringle and Japeth back in the Finals, seems like that the Bolts is in trouble but i'll give them at least a win or two before crowning the Kings.
Harris got injured, Lee is injured. No one can step up and carry the team thus they lost. Prayers for Mike Harris though and I hope he will recover.

For sure this will be a physical one (as it is always Cheesy) or I mean more physical than the normal one. We have Hodge that is a very good defender and just willing to sacrifice his body just to have extra possessions. I wonder who will he be defending. It might be Brownlee maybe. Ginebra in 6 for me or maybe 5 but not 4 even though Pringle and Japeth but there is a high chance it will be 6. More games = more revenue and more entertainment Cheesy.

That's an interesting match-up, but I think it will be import vs import.

The good thing with Meralco is that they proved they can win even if their import is struggling, their locals can produce to win and that's their advantage. Of course, Brownlee will continue to score, but if the locals will be limited, this would be a great series for Meralco.

Meralco is also a good defensive team, so they can match up the Ginebra's very defensive play.

Looking at the current price, this is really an opportunity.

DYOR, if you believe that this project will recover and would create its ATH, then why not risk buying at the current price.
You know, no one could tell what the future of the project will be, we all take risk but make sure it's a calculated risk.
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 02, 2022, 08:11:14 AM
I guess that was just a misinformation or rumor meant to scare the fans of Casimero that he is in a dangerous spot who's going to be stripped in his belt because of that lawsuit that we have no information about as we cannot literally see anything about that on the internet nor anything that Butler tweeted in the same context. Guys, let's be optimistic because the fight is still going to happen.

I'm one on those many people that hoping that this fight will push through as I'm a fan of Quadro Alas but this controversy that he is in right now is not a joke and coupled with the weight issue, this is really a challenging times for Casimero but i know that he could overcome these issues and come out victorious once he steps on that ring.

Why is it that the opponent's team seems to be not so sure that Casimero will fight, and his camp is looking for a replacement? There's no news about this and his camp is silent. The match is fast approaching. If Casimero will not fight because of the lawsuit, then, his boxing career is now in question.

First, we need to verify if the information is legit, as I read, it was only a rumor and there's even no post regarding that rumor about the team Butler asking MP promotion on who will be their opponent. Let us not make it a big story, focus on the scheduled fight so we will be able to enjoy it.

As of now, this fight still has no betting odds in my sportsbook.
2950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: April 02, 2022, 07:52:14 AM
@milewilda. Similar to what I have said in the other thread about boxing predictions, Murata might be very underestimated for this fight. The fight will be in Japan where Murata is the hero, GGG will be 40 years old on the day of the fight, Murata is only 36 years old with a 2 inch reach advantage. Also, all of Murata's losses he challenged those boxers again and won them each with a knockout. Would you bet GGG with very small odds?

That's true that Murata has the reach advantage, it's more like of an almost 5 inches reach advantage because it was a 12 centimeter gap. However, I don't agree in that particular statement that Murata's age is also an advantage compared to the 4 year older GGG at the day of the fight because that is just a short span and it's not that Murata have experienced and fathom GGG's ring IQ and experience when he was also 36 years old.

However, would you bet on GGG with very small odds and with this presenty old GGG who has some disadvantages against him? The fight also being in Japan is making me speculate that the referee and the judges will be in the yakuza's payroll hehehe. I would not be shocked if this fight ends in an upset split decision and Murata the winner.

If GGG wants to win, this fight should not reach the judges' scorecards, he has to beat Murata by knocking him out.
GGG has 36 KOs from 41 fights, I'm sure he can beat Murata by KO.

So if you want better odds, just guess which round GGG would stop the fight, or bet on ranges every 3 rounds.
I have a feeling 1-3 rounds gives better odds.
2951  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: April 01, 2022, 07:55:49 PM
In my opinion, FUD always appears when the price of cryptocurrency experiences a significant increase especially when the price of bitcoin rises significantly. However, FUD does not have much effect on the price of crypto assets, because experienced investors do not panic and already know how to deal with FUD.
I think it's the FOMO that will appear when the price continues to rise significantly or what we called a bull run. FUD appears when the price is dumped as it will result in panic selling due to Fear, uncertainty, and doubt or FUD.
2952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 01, 2022, 07:30:48 PM
The ring of rust probably doesn't really apply to Spence in my opinion, because indeed it would be quite the opposite to say he is like that now even though he hasn't fought in quite a while but the word rust would only be one of the jokes for him in my opinion.
Maybe there's a little impact on the coming fight, but I would say that Spence is still in his prime and he will be able to stay fit and ready during the fight. Not being able to have a professional fight but keeping himself to the gym still makes him a dangerous fighter IMO.

It's really difficult for Ugas right now even though he's the seed of choice, his only choice is to keep looking ahead and keep crashing because a defensive strategy won't have much effect
I'm sure he knows that himself, and since Spence is a different animal, he has to deal it differently.

An unexpected thing happened.

Congratulations to the Meralco Bolts for winning the semi Finals.

Now, we will see good Finals series between the Bolts and the Gin Kings.
I am also happy with the performance of the Bolts because I won my Moneyline bet.

Congratulations, big odds.

If Harris were playing, things could be different, maybe Meralco would still win but not the way they won the game.
Less than 8 minutes in the game, Harris was already taken out, though the Import of Meralco has less contribution, he was huge in getting the import of Magnolia injured. haha... Kidding aside, I'm sending prayers to the recovery of Harris, hope nothing is serious with that injury.

Yeah, that was the turning point, but prior to that, Meralco was already leading and they came back from a big deficit.

Bishop only made 8 points from 3/18 shooting, If he will not improve, JB will just eat him alive and Meralco would have no chance to make it a close series like what they did with the Magnolia Hotshots.

I guess I will side with the Meralco in game 5, I'm sure they will be the underdog, so I'm taking the point spread.

Same here, they may have been dominated in game 4 but I'm sure they will adjust in game 5.
Again, I like to emphasize about their defense, and I like the under of the total score as I believe it has a big chance of hitting since it's a do or die game for both teams.

Yes, I'm expecting to see that.

By the way, the betting lines are up for the game 5, and looks like Meralco is still underestimated here.

Meralco is +5, with 2.56 for moneyline.
I'm sure this is worth taking, no way Magnolia would be able to dominate them twice in a row.
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 31, 2022, 11:50:04 AM

That's a nice stuff for the Grizzlies even though Ja wasn't there to play the game. I just hope they'll be able to showcase this during the playoffs when they need it the most and the pressure is more superb. I wouldn't doubt them but playoff atmosphere is on a different league.

They'll be an improved team this coming playoff as they already earned a good experience last playoffs.

From what I saw in this team, they are full of chemistry, though they are a young team they are brave enough to face the top teams in the NBA, and this season is their biggest chance to win a championship, so I will watch them closely and make sure I'll also put my bet every time they play.

Last year was break out run of Memphis, but they fell short. But just like any other teams, they mature this year that's why they are one of the hottest team and clinching a playoff berth, winning their conference and then coming in at 2nd place is already a big accomplished for them this season. So we will see if they have the momentum and carry that in the playoff because that is the most important aspect right now. To reach the finals in the stack up Western conference.
IIRC, Memphis beat the Warriors in the play-in tournament but they lose in the first round.

It was a lesson learned for them, and they really make that as an inspiration to get better, and like what expected, they now belong to the top 3 teams in the West and of course, I believe they'll pass the first round as a sign of improvement.
2957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 31, 2022, 11:16:08 AM
^^ It was C. Paul who orchestrated the win of the Phoenix. He hit a jumper and then forced Green to make a turnover. And then Booker hitting clutch free throws.

I thought that the Warriors are going to win this game, they have taken the lead by a point, but the Suns defense and Paul playing as usual as the "point God", to control everything in both sides of the court.

Booker scored very important points, they managed to score with the right positions in the most difficult minutes. Chris Paul also played pretty well and the Phoenix Suns forwards did their bit too.
Jordan Poole was the best player of the game in Golden State Warriors, but the other players in the team were not very successful. As a result, the Suns won the match Smiley

Jordan Poole's effort would be recognized well if the Warriors won the game.
He is not the usual starter of the team and yet he made a good product for the team, if I'm not mistaken, that was his career-high with the Warriors.

However, I'd say that the Warriors have some improvement because they were able to give a good fight against the Phoenix despite missing their main man which is Steph Curry.
2958  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 31, 2022, 04:58:28 AM
Celebrity endorsers can be of great help, but it would be so much better if the casino already has made its contribution and its reputation on its own. Even without an endorser, surely, the players would be encouraged to invest and play with them. Although having an endorser would be a plus and a win-win situation too.

Prior to getting the involvement of Drake, Stake is already a popular crypto-gambling platform. It means, even without the partnership, Stake will just continue to gain its popularity no matter what. It happened that Drake is playing at Stake and that's a good opportunity to make a collaboration.

Stake x Drake seems also a catchy term. The rhyme is really fit at gambling.

Drake is really fit to be their celebrity endorser. Cheesy
It is a match made in heaven, Drake is not only already known as a gambler so he is the perfect celebrity to become the sponsor of a casino, but that is not all, as you state even the names of Drake and Stake match perfectly making the creation of a PR campaign something relatively easy, so I have no doubts this was the right move for Stake and I have no doubts that since then they have seen their traffic and their profits increase due to Drake becoming their sponsor not long ago.
Well, you have to see that stake.com always knows what he is doing and chooses each of his workers with a magnifying glass because they are the best, plus a special feature is that Drake is not only a good rapper, but he is a person who has a great heart, when he was with Eddie in his live presentation and said that he would donate that $1M I think it touched every heart of many people in the world, here it is manifested that a successful company has its funds to help those who need it most, and This fact alone fills the entire stake.com team with many blessings.

I'm happy to hear that from Drake, the fact that he donated that huge amount tells us that he is not addicted to gambling although he is known to be a huge bettor with the bet slip he shared. Stake.com knows what they are doing, they are not new in the business and they are very successful as a business.
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 31, 2022, 04:06:13 AM
Is the lawsuit against Casimero on the alleged rape is still not solved? I cannot see any updates about it on the internet, so hopefully they already solved it.

I agree, the incident was just a coincidence and it has nothing to do with his upcoming fight or his previous promoter. Also, Casimero shouldn't worry about that for now nor let that issue distract him in his preparation against Paul Butler. Anyways, if he is really innocent then there's nothing to worry about.

I have not read an update about that lawsuit on Casimero but I think that is taken care of because they have not spoken a word about that case on their vlogs.

But I have also seen a youtube video of a content creator where he said that there is a tweet by Team Butler on March 5 asking MP promotions on who really is their opponent. This might have something to do with the case of Casimero and they don't want to prepare for a fight with Casimero in mind but in the end, fighting a different opponent would be disastrous for their preparation.
Well this is worrying, maybe things were fixed and they don't want to give statements until the official verdict is obtained and they make it public, unless Butler already handles the information and it's something bad and this meeting can't take place, I think In that scenario things would be bad, I don't think Casimero would blame him, it would be something infamous and they would practically be ending the boxer's entire career, if this is the case then Butler would be looking for new matches, but it would be something bad for him. Well, he already has a previous preparation and this would only cause inconvenience for many, especially for bettors.

I thought the schedule is already fixed.

Why would Butler tweet like that? Isn't he the mandatory opponent of Casimero? I hope that tweet has no real substance because not seeing Casimero fight this year would cast doubt on his future in boxing. I mean, he is still a champion, he deserved to fight the best and get more fights.
2960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 31, 2022, 02:37:58 AM
Congratulations to Ginebra for entering in the finals, what a magnificent performance. Now, it's Magnolia and Bolts.
I want to see the Magnolia enter the finals against Ginebra and hopefully they'll win on Friday with their last deciding match against the Meralco Bolts.

Justine Brownlee fulfilled his promise to LA Tenorio that they would win game 4 and they did it with JB scoring 47 points, the most of his career in the PBA if I'm not wrong. JB is peaking at the right time and that is what makes this team so scary in the Finals and they also have the time to rest Japeth and not miss him because CStand was also playing very well.

Magnolia and Bolts is an exciting game to watch as we never know who would win but I'm more inclined for the Bolts to be in the Finals so that it would not be an All-SMC affair for the championship.

Justin Brownlee takes that Game 3 loss as an inspiration to have that big production in Game 4. He likes to redeem what happens to a distracted L.A Tenorio last game on which instead of blaming game, they move forward instead.

47 points are something not usual for an import and Brownlee, even now in his veteran period, can still produce that big numbers. He will surely remember in the league when he retires from playing basketball. Coach Tim Cone also said that in an interview after that Game 4 win.
Brownlee took over, he can really do that if he would work hard to score. Based on what I read on some facebook post, he promise to LA Tenorio that they will win in game 4, and he really did not disappoint the team and make the fans satisfied with what they saw.

Now, I can clearly say that Ginebra is the favorites to win the Finals.

Back to Magnolia and Meralco, they are now in the deciding game. I like to see a Manila Clasico although I also like to see different companies to play in the Finals. Regardless, may the best team win.

Yes, both teams deserved to be in the Finals, so may the best team wins.
I guess I will side with the Meralco in game 5, I'm sure they will be the underdog, so I'm taking the point spread.
