2961  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit (cloud)mining sites? on: July 22, 2015, 04:43:44 AM
So I bought some GHS on Bit-X. Does that mean that it will start mining or how does it work?
In de user guide I don't really find much info about the mining part.

bit-x is primarily an exchange, so there is no dedicated UI for mining, but once the GHs are in your balance, mining begins immediately and you will be rewarded your shared daily. nothing else to do.

is there proof of their mining operation? pictures or addresses? anything signed?

checked and now the name update TX is completely gone. the blockchain forgot my TX/update. interesting...

Well it gets cleared if it is not confirmed after a specific time. The problem you had was that your first update did not contain enough qora (fee) and was therefore not confirmed. While you have unconfirmed txs that will not be confirmed your following txs will not be confirmed either (will get a bad signature). So unfortunately you need to wait till the "bad" txs are gone or restart with an older data folder.

so in theory, I should be good now? no open tx... should I just resubmit with a higher fee?

If you have no outgoing unconfirmed transactions try again with atleast fee of 2 for your website. Keep in mind that websites will be stored in the new namestorage after update, so you will need to recreate that page after release.

oh, didn't know that. thanks for the info, I have to backup my sites. any ETA on the update?

looks like Jonah's other projects are being Paycoined. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=544732.msg11931647#msg11931647 apparently, he's MIA while his service goes south
2967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bter and Poloniex - Scam or Incompetence on: July 21, 2015, 11:12:25 AM
Well, 5 weeks now and so far, this is all I get if I ask about my coins, "Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are still working to fix it." and it takes them a week to reply with that.

can't be that hard to restart the wallet on their side, right? but wait, they're busy staking with your money Smiley
2968  Other / Meta / Re: How much is www.bitcointalk.org worth ? on: July 21, 2015, 10:52:11 AM
those estimation sites are absolutely worthless and by no means an indicator.

traffic & google/alexa ranks are nice, but the userbase alone is worth way more than that.
2969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 21, 2015, 10:17:33 AM
following the guide and going to buy NEBU,
hope will have some profit after few days Cheesy

I don't want to manipulate with you, but I think that NEBU is scam. What I know is that NEBU' biggest buyer is it's dev and he's trying to get it's price up to make the biggest profit just for him. You can try XRA and never trust anyone in the chat, they will probably tell you to invest in the coin they have to get bigger profit and pump it up.

altcoin daytrading is far too risky in my opinion.

it's better to check out some altcoins with a bright future and invest and HODL - in my opinion.

the only altcoins I buy are BTS & NXT (ETH may be the 3rd soon)

2971  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit (cloud)mining sites? on: July 21, 2015, 05:24:07 AM
most cloudminers are scam, and legit ones like genesis-mining are far from being profitable.

2972  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [List] Bitcoin Advertising Networks on: July 21, 2015, 05:11:14 AM
Good list, thanks for it.

Does someone have experiences using one of the Bitcoin-paying ad networks (e.g. CoinURL) on a non-english and non-bitcoin-related site? I am particularly interested in Spanish.

isn't coinurl's minimum payout like 0.1 bitcoin? that's the reason I never use them.
2973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Make Money With Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2015, 05:10:00 AM
Earn bitcoin

- join a signature campaign here
- sell stuff (cryptothrift)

Invest Bitcoin

this depends on your risk level. altcoins or HYIP are super high risk with medium/good rewards. make sure to do some research before you invest.
2974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can u get bitcoins? for free on: July 21, 2015, 05:02:01 AM
Guys?
any free game where to get bitcoin???
yup, you can download coin flapper from playstore and win upto 600 satoshi per tournament and there is a limit of 200 games per day.

http://bitplay.today/

check this site, there are 2 games that offer bitcoins just for playing games this could be a good way of wasting some of your free time to earn bitcoins. Coin Flapper and Coin Crusher Smiley

which ones is better for the game wise?

cause i know this is going to be a time consuming thing lol. is coin crusher more fun?

ive tried them both out, and personally i like the flappy bird one better, mostly because i think this flappy bird is easier than the original game; its quite easy to score high. the last time i tried out coin crusher, their graphics could have been substantially better, but i just didnt like that candy crusher type of game.

oh there are apps? I like to play while waiting, I have to check this out Cheesy
2975  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 21, 2015, 04:56:31 AM
I am a journalist for themerkle.com and am looking to write a story about cloudminr. I am looking to do some interviews with users who have been scammed so that I can get the timeline of events right. I will compensate you for your time, send me a PM if you are interested. We need to make more people aware of such ponzies because they really do hurt the bitcoin ecosystem and it's image.

if you got time check this one too: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg11929499#msg11929499 - the coverage on this part of the GAW scam in non-existend, but very interesting in my opinion.
2976  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY CPIG BTCLend xpyerr.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: July 21, 2015, 04:53:27 AM
Is anything ever going to happen with this? I am starting to wonder if there is or ever was a criminal investigation going on. Starting to look like Josh is just going to skip away Scott-free(aside from a few civil suits which he can just completely ignore).

Something may happen, it may not. You have to realize that this is very small time for the federal authorities to actually give a shit about, especially because it's such a weird thing.

I don't expect much to happen, but I would see stuff happening because of the internet stuff in new england first. That adventure directly screwed over governments and people getting screwed out of internet/phone service they paid for is much more important than people getting screwed over in some hare brained investment scheme that never made a lick of sense.
Sorry, hare brained or not, "weird thing" or not, crime is crime and he should be pursued and made to account.

They should, but there's this thing called priorities. Wannabe investors losing small amounts is a very low priority.

If/when something happens, It will take time and involve Josh spending lots of your money between now and then.

The calendar is ticking, if you want money back or something to happen it will require effort. The key words are:

Cantor
Fitzgerald
vice
president
September
11th
charity
fraud.

Waiting for the law will take forever and may not result in anything. Make a big enough stink about a cantor Fitzgerald vp being within smelling distance of 9/11 charity fraud and you will actually get people to listen to you and may get some results. Garza is nothing, you won't get a cent from him, go for the big pockets with big guns, you have them.

I still wonder why no news site covered the charity scam. I agree with you, cantor is the key to attention.
