Well... At least David Warner got ONE run before he took the long walk back to the pub.
The BBL games this past week have been a lot more interesting to watch (even if the players fielding do all kinds of cart-wheels while trying to catch the ball...) 🙄

What's the Onion URL for bpip?
suchmoon regularly tells people they should be using Tor Browser (ironically it doesn't support BPiP) but I can't find any mention of an Onion address in this thread for the site.

Not dead after all: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=76380I've just received a PM from this user wishing me a "Covid free Happy New Year."(I can't find the more recent thread otherwise I'd post there instead)
Interestingly, this thread of theirs from 2017 has had the OP deleted in the last few minutes and the thread locked.

I had a post count of 6789 a little while ago and I'm closing in on 7,000 posts...
From there I'll have 7777 posts then 7890 posts. I'll try and archive as I go if I remember to do so.

There must be a setting on your tablet device's browser that deletes the cookies the same way as using an incognito window does.
It's not an overly big issue, I just do what I've gotta do and then get out if I'm on the tablet then do the main stuff on the PC when I can leave the browser tab open for extended periods of time.

How the hell do you know that? You can't know which IP address kamrul50 uses if you don't have anything to do with that account.
The air of authority is how most bluffs and scams are passed off and users suckered. "I say this is true, so you will believe it is true and when I say hand over what I want, you will" is how the voice of authority scams work.

For anyone interested, here in Brisbane it was a cloudless day, not overly hot day, but tonight (it's after eleven local time) it's very hot and humid. There's a severe storm forecast for Sunday. Originally storms Saturday evening through late Sunday, but now just Sunday. If it keeps being this hot and cloudless, then it'll be a corker of a downpour (brief, but heavy).
Together with the number of players injuring themselves and the storm having the potential to delay things (and both teams in Covid lockdown in the same hotel (think late night revelry)), I'm seeing the fourth test being a draw. (Even if Warner stops mucking about and starts playing)

> I think that in that case, if I delete the cookies, the account will log out,
The cookies are deleted when you log out. Leaving your session logged in is what causes the risk of session hijacking. On my tablet device if I log into freebitco.in then switch to another app then come back to the browser app I find I have been logged out and have to log back in (including 2FA) which doesn't happen on the PC. Most strange.

I like the rank system, but between member and full member I think there should have been an intermediate rank
I'm struggling to envisage a scinario to justify an in-between rank such as the one you suggest? AFAIK the entire forum is open to all from the moment you register onwards. It's not as though you need Senior member just to even *see* certain sections of the forum. Get writing, be creative. Start a useful thread or two and earn merits. Good Luck.

Since the Merit system began I've amazed enough non-airdropped merits to have attained the rank of Hero Member along with the required posts to go with it.
If a user wants to rank-up it's usually with the intention of joining a Signature Campaign (there's little other reason to level up - not really).
Too many people want to start the working life in the executive suite instead of working their way up the corporate ladder.
Perseverance.

. I know a person (not me honestly ) who converted his free BCH & BTG into BTC & exchanged it all for fiat in 2017/18 ... You don't suppose the Tax Office were too busy laughing that someone was bothering with the Bitcoin F Uorked coins and decided to give not you a break?

There was something Suchmoon said about sending out merits, he said merit a good post not user,.
That user would have to unblock the 95% of the Forum and actually be less selective in the handful of favourites they merits on a regular basis before such a comment from them could be taken to be creditable...

We also don't know how long the bitcoin price stops rising, but maybe in the near future there will be a big correction that will make bitcoin prices low. but at the beginning of this year it seems the trend is still up
Some other threads are calling a correction at the end of March which would make sense given those who have come in during the end of year run will probably be reaching for the smelling salts in about a month's time when they beging to wonder why BTC hasn't gone up to $60k or higher. In six weeks time I envisage early dumps will start, then by mid March people will see the slump for what it is and drive the price down as they recoup their losses. (And yes, down sub $20k)

It wouldn't be something like the One Satoshi quasi spam that occurred during the Sochi Winter Olympics a few years ago? IIRC it was either a tracking attack (actual terminology name escapes me just now) or it really was just a cleaver marketing ploy...
Either way I seem to recall hearing that "feature" has now been disabled.

I can only speak for the tax situation for here in Australia:
In the first example a person buys $2000 worth of crypto and sells the entire amount 24 hours later for $3000, they have made a "profit" of $1000. Because the sale occured less than one year from the time the purchase was made, the user pays Capital Gains Tax on the entire $1000 at the applicable tax rate determined by the user's other taxation lodgement details.
In the second example, as with before, the user buys $2000 worth of crypto but then holds it for more than twelve months before selling the entire parcel for $3000. Although the "profit" is $1000 because the user held the asset for more than twelve months, the CGT is worked out on half of the profit amount (half of $1000 is $500).

There's certainly examples of merit/trust abuse where two or more users gift each other merits on the same day e.g. ten sent then five received back around the same time.
For me personally I tend to hand out the merits to as many people as possible which is reflected in my merit circle score of 355 which gives me a ranking of 80.
Merit me and I'll pay it forward.

When you contacted @Yatsan prior to starting this thread, what was their response? I've come across other UID's that have changed their passwords seeming too often, but certainly not as frequently as this person has.

I've been using TOR for a couple of months now and find around the fifty minutes of use mark everything grinds to a halt. I either have to shut all open windows bar one, or, change the connection.

Nice work @invincible49, if I recall correctly four of the five were banned (three were ban evasion) with just Lrshohag having avoided the ban hammer. Not sure why that particular UID avoided being banned? Perhaps theyll go this time 'round.
