2961  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: May 05, 2016, 07:06:51 AM
If I were in dire need of money I would get off the Internet immediately and look for a 2nd part-time night job along with my full-time day time job. Trying to hustle money on the Internet is usually a big waste of time and I would be making a lot more money if I go out in the real world and take another job. Of course if I desperately need the cash to pay my rent or bills I would ask my parents first to help me out and if they can't I would resort to taking out a loan from a bank. There are no easy shortcuts to free money in this world everyone has to work hard for their own cash.
2962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now they [bbc] are saying Craig Wright is not Satoshi!! on: May 05, 2016, 06:29:53 AM
This is what happens when some media outlets want to have the hottest news before their competitors. The BBC, the Economist and GQ rushed to publish breaking news on a matter they simply can't fully understand and the Craig Wright fake story blew up spectacularly in their faces. So now that they realized they had written a load of crap BBC are trying to do damage control to their own reputation  Wink
2963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Craig Steven Wight say what he will do with his bitcoins? on: May 05, 2016, 06:09:10 AM
I am inclined to believe that Craig Wright may have been involved with the development of Bitcoin at some point but he currently doesn't possess the private keys to Satoshi coin stash otherwise he would have moved some already to prove his point. I don't know why he is going public with his claims though when he said he wanted to be left alone. Maybe it's some trivial reason or maybe it's some motive for personal gain in some way it's hard to tell right now.
2964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright IS ACTUALLY Satoshi Nakamoto. It's REAL. on: May 05, 2016, 05:32:33 AM
The real Satoshi Nakamoto hasn't started cashing out his/her Bitcoins yet because either it's a group of people and they have an agreement between them not to touch the coins at the moment or Satoshi is probably dead or he/she has enough money at present and doesn't need to liquidate the funds locked in Bitcoin. Maybe Craig Wright needs the permission of others to move the coins or maybe he is faking it all I don't know but something is very strange about this whole endeavor. He better have more conclusive proof the next time he goes public again.
2965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on Dr Craig Wright proving he is Satoshi or not! on: May 04, 2016, 02:29:19 PM
So if Dr Craig Wright doesn't sign a message from the Genesis Block until 31.05.2016 whoever has picked 'No' will win their bets? What if he doesn't do anything until that day will any bets be voided or what? What if he moves coins from the Satoshi Nakamoto stash?
2966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware Cerber Decryptor - Follow the coins on: May 04, 2016, 06:51:11 AM
Perhaps you can report the ransomware incident to Blockhain crime experts like Elliptic but if the theft was really for just $600 I don't think it will be worth it because whoever is going to investigate this will ask for more money than that in fees probably. The business owners should still report it to the police though even if it was an extortion for a small amount of money.
2967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi would do an AMA, what would you ask him? on: May 04, 2016, 06:41:44 AM
If I had the opportunity to ask Satoshi Nakamoto AMA questions I think I would ask if he is going to write a best-selling book about Bitcoin and how he imagines the digital money of the future to be.
2968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Officially Recognizes Bitcoin and Digital Currencies as Money on: May 04, 2016, 06:32:21 AM
I hope the Japanese regulators are not doing this with the sole purpose of controlling the Bitcoin exchanges in the country. I hope we will see more Bitcoin adoption in the offline businesses like supermarkets, cinemas, shopping malls etc. where Bitcoin will be available as a legitimate payment option along with fiat.
2969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Vulnerability on: May 04, 2016, 06:21:46 AM
I don't think it matters how many coins you have on your online wallet as long as you have a very strong password or haven't copied your mnemonic string anywhere for people to find. There are so many Bitcoin addresses with hundreds and thousands of coins and they are still inthere despite all the hackers in the world trying to snatch the Bitcoins in them. Why hasn't anyone stolen the Bitcoins of Satoshi Nakamoto already? Hardware, software, mobile, paper wallets all offer the same security and same vulnerabilities and if you maintain a proper security protocol your stash will be safe.
2970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for website: slither.io clone on: May 03, 2016, 04:18:21 PM
I have tried playing slither.io on numerous occasions but every time I had really bad latency issues and it was pretty much impossible to play because I had like 1-2 seconds delay on every move. I don't know why this is happening but I think it's not my Internet connection. Also there are kinda 'cheats' in slither.io where people could zoom out in their browser and see a greater area of the map. I don't think this idea of playing for money will turn out to be good though.
2971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright to move coins from an early (genesis?!) block? on: May 03, 2016, 03:36:32 PM
Wait could Craig Wright have really bought private keys for the lower number blocks from miners? I think if he wants to be taken seriously he needs to move coins from the Genesis block. All I have seen from him so far are just cheap tricks which could only work on laymen like the BBC journalists.
2972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Craig is Satoshi, do you still like Bitcoin? on: May 03, 2016, 03:26:55 PM
It doesn't matter to me as long as Bitcoin still offers better features than my bank service and I can be sure that my Bitcoin investment won't be destroyed overnight if Craig went on a power trip and his bad decisions drove the price to the ground.
2973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS STILL FAMOUS on: May 03, 2016, 03:19:49 PM
After the stunt that Craig Wright pulled some days ago Bitcoin is literally becoming more famous by the minute. As people say there is no such thing as pad publicity and I think a lot of people have heard on the radio or read in newspapers about Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto during these past few days.
2974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 03, 2016, 02:56:54 PM
Oh wow so he is going to really do it now isn't he? But he said that the coins were controlled by a trust and he didn't have the authorization to do it and he didn't want any more public attention so why does Craig still care about what the public thinks about him?
2975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Gavin Andresen = PLOT on: May 02, 2016, 06:56:56 PM
Quick question — can someone please tell me what has happened to Gavin. When I first discovered Bitcoin,  this guy was a worshipped God, now,  he's an outlaw??

easily paid off to say what is needed

But I have read people on here saying that Gavin was a very early adopter so he should have saved a lot of coins and money was not the problem here. Perhaps his motives were purely based on desire for more power and the ability to influence the Bitcoin core development as he wishes. Is it money or power or is it something else?
2976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would it take to convince YOU that someone is Satoshi? on: May 02, 2016, 06:49:07 PM
I would like to see coins moved from Satoshi Nakamoto's stash than signing a message of the genesis block. By the way Craig said that people have helped him with the development of Bitcoin. What if there are really multiple people involved with the creation of Bitcoin and these coins are not controlled by 1 person? Do you guys fancy the idea that Satoshi may be the alias of an international group?
2977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are really doubting Wright's claims about being Satoshi on: May 02, 2016, 06:40:05 PM
I think Craig Wright realized he could seize the moment and proclaim himself to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto because no one else was willing to do so at the time. It's quick and easy fame for him now that the whole world thinks he is legit and it will be kinda hard to disprove his claims until 'the real' Satoshi Nakamoto shows up and provides solid proof about his/her identity. I don't understand why some of the Bitcoin devs and experts haven't already volunteered to validate the evidence if we, the average joes of the Bitcoin community, don't believe a thing at all.
2978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 02, 2016, 06:29:21 PM
So Craig could allegedly sign a message but couldn't move any of the coins held by Satoshi Nakamoto because there is a trust now in control of them. This is very hard to believe in my honest opinion and looks like a half-assed excuse on his part. It's also very surprising how no other expert other than Gavin Andresen stepped forward to validate Craig Wright's claims of being the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Something about this 'revelation' is very off.
2979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Law Would Send Bitcoin Users to Jail as Cybercriminals on: May 02, 2016, 05:45:38 AM
I guess if some Russian individuals try to buy coins with a VPN from a foreign exchange they would be able to, but the real problem is how they will manage to exchange the coins for Rubles in Russia if there are no local exchanges or Bitcoin ATM. One could try to exchange Bitcoin in a neighboring country for local currency then convert to Rubles at home because there will be no paper trail or try an illegal underground peer-to-peer exchange in Russia.
2980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is doing something on Bitcoin Pizza Day? May 22nd, 2016 on: May 02, 2016, 05:38:24 AM
I will probably buy a gift card with Bitcoin as there is no place around me that directly accepts Bitcoin and will get myself a tasty pizza on that special day if I don't forget lol. This will be the first time I will commemorate this event. I better mark the date on my calendar  Wink
