We aren't here to do the homework for them, if they think bitcoin is a scam well, their choice, they are the ones wasting an opportunity
2962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Bitcoinica Hacker on: July 16, 2012, 03:36:24 PM
And to clarify, yes it's painfully obvious at this point that all involved with bitcoinica are either:

1) Complete fools
 or
2) Thieves

In either case, lack of caution on the part of those using this questionable service after the initial hack and indications that this could be nothing more than a bucket shop allowed those running bitcoinica to either prosper by running off with funds or lose a significant portion of user funds through negligence.

People need to be smarter. bitcoinica is to blame, the users of bitcoinica are also to blame. This whole fiasco is a lesson. I'd like to see them all strung up, including the users. Fools and fish will be fooled and fished. I don't think this point can be driven home hard enough.

2968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Personal contribution of 5,000 BTC to affected Bitcoinica customers on: July 15, 2012, 07:26:15 PM
Received 6.2995 BTC from remaining 50.5! If I get my money back from Bitcoinica I will be happy to return the donation to Zhou.

WTF took Bitcoinica LTD so long? They only lost more in the meantime. It's a pity. At this speed, Zhou might have been able to reopen the shop and make more money instead of this clusterfuck. Epic Fail Bitcoinica LTD. Again, thank you Zhou. Better than nothing.
Well, it take so long for them cause they are a scam  Smiley Or do you really believe the last "hacking"? lol
2969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 15, 2012, 07:15:45 PM
Oh boy, just simple GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR with a smartphone would have saved your ass and money. What a shame, this is really impressive, seems that the security of Bitcoinica's funds is directed by a pigeon.

I've alwayed learned that its better to lazyly bring Bitcoin on to people... first mention it... wait for questions. describe it a little bit... let them think... wait for more questions... repeat.

Also I never bringing up the mining process unless someone has the economical knowledge and wisdom to even "ask" how money(bitcoins) are distributed to others in the first place.

My two cents.... We'll figure out this "Explain Bitcoin" thing one of these days!

Is it normal in your respective countries to vaccinate once a year for the flu?

Supossing you are under 70 years old.
Here in Italy it's suggested that people that have problems/old people have it, for everyone else it's not suggested, their choice.

Of course yes i'm vaccinated, welcome in 2012, where thanks to vaccins people no more die to fail disease

I don't do the flu shot cause i don't need it, i can happily survive a flu without problems but i have all the important vaccines.
2977  Other / Off-topic / Re: I found out some very bad news in the family on: July 13, 2012, 09:51:07 PM

yes their appears to be an epidemic of this ATM.

is he vaccinated?
I am against vaccinating, because i believe it can cause these kinds of problems ( and many other unknown issues )
I wish i could of not vaccinated my kid, but my wife is unreasonable when it comes to listing to doctors.

 Undecided

If your wife chose to vaccinate your child and you did not, your wife took the decision to listen to the actual science and protect your child from a preventable disease.
The vaccination theory started by andrew wakefield has been completely and utterly debunked by now, so there's really no excuse for not vaccinating.
+1 to what Gareth said. Your wife is a clever and smart woman, she cares about her kid. Not vaccinating him is ridicolous, i can't believe in 2012 there are people who are against vaccinating. We are no more in middle age!

and about the "ADD epidemy"...

Quote
I was a pretty bad kid,,,, My parents had me on ritalin for a very short while... They did not like what it turned me in to..... Seemed to make my behavior worse.... The doctors my parents brought me to wanted to feed me all sorts of different drugs....

My parents were not up for me being their guinea pig.....15 years down the line, now im the good kid and my brother is the bum souping off my parents @ 30 years old Tongue

Nah you were a normal kid. Giving you drugs was a crazy thing.

It seems that in USA parents no more want to take care of their kids and to stop them from interrupting them, ta-dah, things like ADD and Ritalin get epidemic
Tons of children wich are perfectly normal suddenly are "diagnosticated" with ADD and guess what? Must take ritalin!

2979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I a genious?? on: July 13, 2012, 09:09:30 PM
It might be interesting if you could store the blockchain and wallet.dat on a rewritable bluray disc instead of your hard drive. Then you could simply use bitcoin from any device that accepts bluray disks and bitcoin.

Exactly my thinking...

Hard Drives fail and burn out.. but if you keep a disc in a nice sleeve it will last forever.

That way it would also be alot easier to physically store your bitcoins.. rather than a decaying thumb drive; a stack of blurays!

Its my opinion that any online wallet or computer wallet is at a huge risk and you would only use those as a buffer between your bitcoin use and bitcoin storage
No. A normal disc WON'T LAST FOREVER. The blu-ray you make will be useless and unreadable in dunno, 5-10 years (moar liek 5 than 10...)

So if you put your wallet.dat on a bluray or a dvd and then 10 years later you want to get it... good luck.
2980  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I a genious?? on: July 13, 2012, 09:06:21 PM
OP are you speaking about wallet.dat or the blockchain? Very different things!

so whats the best non-digital way to store your bitcoins? something you can put in a safe, but not rely on a usb or whatever
Your bitcoins are related to your private keys wich is large just some bits. You can just print it on paper.
