2961  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where are these payments coming from? on: September 30, 2022, 06:35:51 AM
Less likely to be dust attack because most of the dust attack pays only few sats which doesn't even worth cents but here the payment made was bigger than that so someone is sending the coins to wrong address or willingly just for annoying, possibly?
Dust attack can just be in few satoshi (like in hundreds of a satoshi), even with a legacy address, the smallest satoshi that can only be sent which is 746 sat. But in a dust attack, the attacker may prefer to increase the amount with few satoshi. The main purpose of the attack is to track where the victim is sending coins to which any amount sent to the victims can help in doing. Even if it is not a dust attack, it should be assumed and seen as a dust attack and should be avoided as long as the victim do not know the source. But the amount sent is not that big too but small.
2962  Other / Meta / Re: Here Is One Reason Why Legendary Members Get So Many Merits on: September 29, 2022, 09:57:32 PM
I've always bought into the notion that higher-ranked members tend to earn more merits, because it seems almost self-evident to me.  Older members have a lot more invested in the forum, are likely more knowledgeable (except for goobers like me), and know what kinds of posts are worth it to make.  Newbies....who the hell knows?  They don't have a good history on bitcointalk, that's for sure.  But there are always a bunch that keep at it, keep climbing the ranks, and end up becoming established members of our fine forum.  They're just rare, that's all.
This is a forum, higher members that are active do come to post on this forum daily or almost daily to learn from each other. They make posts in a way they read unique posts that they get ideas from to later make better posts too. When I met two friends some years ago, I noticed if I am arguing with one about something, the other friend is almost all the time in support of the other friend. Before I met them, they have been together for years, they have discussed many things they have agreed upon many times before I met them both. That is how this forum is. But the difference is that newbies do not know what old ranked members know, but when he began to read more than post, studying the establish members, his discussion would start to be similar with those of old ranked members and he will rank up.

But I'm sure nothing beats ChartBuddy.
You can't tell me that guy doesn't use some bot to post those charts about bitcoin price every 1 hour in the wall observer thread, surely he will be number one, the reason why post quantity with no quality is useless.
ChartBuddy is a bot.
2963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing and the casino business. on: September 29, 2022, 09:34:50 PM
Below is a list of Casino's to consider buying their stock, it is not a broad list, but just names some, please feel free to extend the list.
There is nothing bad to invest on gambling sites too. This is not new, all businesses today have one way or the other they want investors to invest on their sites, gambling sites are one of them.

Two questions to ask:
Are the listed gambling sites paying in crypto to investors? I noticed I have not even heard about the gambling sites before
How much is the smallest amount of money investors can start with?

I will first prefer to gamble than to invest unless I huge amount of money to start with. Gambling is just fun and entertaining, the reason I am doing it and nothing more. If I do not have time for it, I do not do it. People have different preferences. Investment in gambling sites would require investors to invest huge amount of money before they can earn good income from it. That is investment generally though.
2964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use crypto trading robots? on: September 29, 2022, 07:23:29 PM
Crypto trading robot to help someone trade? I don't do that. I trade myself after analysing the market with indicators. I use fundamental analysis too. I also use sentiment at times.

I have not used bot to trade before. Although I have seen something like that on OKX before and you can also make use of other bots to trade, but I do not see any reason I should use bot to trade.

Only what I can use bots for is for arbitrage trading to list prices of certain coins on different exchanges for me, and for making automatically trades. But I am not an arbitrage trader and exchanges nowadays can be used in a way you can automatically trade after the coin of your choice get to certain price you want the trade to be filled.

I have not used bots before and I am not thinking that I can use one.
2965  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How I Increased My Bitcoin and crypto Portfolio by 36% on: September 29, 2022, 12:13:39 PM
There are WAY too many people in the crypto market today that thinks “HODLing” is enough.
Holding helps people in the past. Holding during this period and wait for the next bull run would be great. Some people will trade and lose, trading is risky. Even if anyone wants to trade, the person should use little amount of money.

Anyone that wait until bear market and invest, holding is enough for the person, but it requires high amount of money.

All I am saying is that not everyone can trade. Some people can trade and lose instead.
2966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 29, 2022, 09:06:52 AM
Your country banned gambling?

Countries that would ban gambling have banned it long time ago. Governments of the countries that has not banned gambling see it as a good means to make internal revenue from tax. Governments in the countries that accept gambling works more on regulating it, rather than ban it. I do not think the question is muh realistic.

In countries where gambling is not legalized, there has always been means some people bypass the ban and gamble, but which I will not recommend.
2967  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance on FB on: September 29, 2022, 08:14:23 AM
No need.
Binance US only serves US-only customers with separate management from binance global (.com). And also all social media between these 2 entities won't be related to each other, will only verify their own property which is mentioned on their respective pages.
You did not understand what I am saying. Binance.us got verified. If binance.us got verified, why won't their official Facebook account not got verified too?
2968  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance on FB on: September 29, 2022, 06:47:34 AM
Yes.

https://www.facebook.com/binance
https://www.facebook.com/BinanceUS

Both are verified on Facebook and you can double check the authenticity of the first one on https://www.binance.com/en/official-verification

The second one doesn't return a positive match, but that's probably just because it's related to their US branch (.us).

Those are the official Binance account on Facebook. I think OP is looking for Binance.com Facebook account. About https://www.facebook.com/BinanceUS, I am surprised that it did not work, when I checked 'Binance.us', it worked. I think it is worth reporting this to Binance customer support.
2969  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: September 28, 2022, 07:53:06 PM
I checked the site review on Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.mrsloty.com

It was very poor and not recommendable.

Click on the link if you want to check people's comment about the gambling site, but the rating alone has already shown how the gambling site should be avoided.
2970  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: September 28, 2022, 11:06:07 AM
And monthly we will see CPI report from FED that really affected us negatively. So we should expect for the worst his coming months. But nevertheless, the price is very cheap, thus taking advantage of the situation is not that bad. Everyone should long at the long term prospect and invest right now or throughout this bear market.
I think it won't be worse than the past when bitcoin dropped to $17600, which may probably be the bottom. Know one truly knows what the price would be, but I think bitcoin can not drop much further than $17500. Although, the possibility for the worse is true as you said, but holding now would be profitable in the later time. Let us see what October would be, but according to what I have analysed based on previous price, bitcoin will not fall more than expected.

And although there will be a lot of news like this month, I hope it will not affect the price of bitcoin too much and can still stay in the above price range or even give bitcoin a chance to start rising in the last 3 months of the year.
I do not believe in some news that will only lead to slight price fall and almost immediate correction, like what happened recently about the US increase in interest rate. I prefer using price history and indicators to predict what the price might be. Although, I still believe in some news too.
2971  Economy / Speculation / October price guess on: September 28, 2022, 06:56:43 AM
The bears made bitcoin to be unable to surpassed $22800 in September. Today is 28th, just two days remain from today before we enter new months. Anything can happen, but likely that bitcoin can not go beyond that price. September has been full of fun, bitcoin favour both bull and bear traders as its price never go below $18000 which was a strong support and yet still increased above $20000 many times. Who traded in both directions in patience and using good trading strategies all gained.

The best time to buy bitcoin is now. Traders should prefer to go long or buy instead of going short, but going short is also good if the signal really suggest bear market. But all I am thinking that would happen next month is that bitcoin would increased, get to $20000 and increase above it.

Bitcoin increased to over $25000 in August, while it only increased to $22800 in September. Is this suggesting bear market in October? What could be its highest price of bitcoin in October? Would it be bulloctober or bearoctober? I am speculating that bitcoin price lowest price may not be below $18000, but can increase above $20000 again.
2972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 27, 2022, 05:25:35 AM
What do you make out of this story, should we really allow our children to live such a lifestyle like gambling and night clubbing, most especially, when they are still under aged?
I have posted several times on this forum that my kids may not know that I am gambling, that I would prefer only my wife to know about it. I still do not know what would be my conclusion about this yet, if it is right thing for someone to let his children to know if he is gambling or not. But I am still thinking that it would be most appropriate to let them know but to teach them how addiction can be and how to avoid it. But as of now,I am having plan to just hide it from children and yet let them know what is gambling addiction and how to avoid it.
2973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 27, 2022, 12:57:13 AM
You need a license to legally serve gambling products to some jurisdictions like the UK and the US.
Not only in UK or US, even in developing and underdeveloped countries, gambling sites needs licence to operate legally.

If a casino do not have a licence, it should be seen as illegal. Before a casino can be given licence, there are certain things that would be considered before giving the casino a licence which it qualified for. Any person can set up a gambling site without a licence, it is just a means scam can easily be done.

You don't need one if you open a casino in a territory that doesn't require you to have one (I think a lot do though) and serve countries that don't need you to be licensed there in order to operate. Just search if you need one for your country.
People do not need one if they are in countries that banned gambling and the casino is operating illegally. It is still illegal. Or is there any country you know that has government and regulators that legalized gambling but did not make it mandatory for their casinos to get a licence before operating? If there is, such casinos should be avoided.

I know that not all sites are licenced though, which means some gambling sites may not also be licensed. But that is bad to use.

The first thing I checked about gambling site before I proceed to further investigate if it is worthy to be used is its licence.
2974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 26, 2022, 03:24:27 PM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.
You will gamble in a way it is not related to your work professional. Do not gamble with the computer in your work place and you will be fine. No one will know many things about you, not to talk of knowing about if you are gambling as long as you are doing it on your phone and personal computer only.
2975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: September 26, 2022, 12:17:49 PM
Not all the time scalping is good and working well as this strategy is even riskier during the bear season.
Yes, I thought before I could earn a lot of profit doing this but the fees beat me. It was still the best option, especially during this time to use spot trading as the accumulation of fees and commission is quite low than scalping. And also, positioning is also easier for us traders where we can directly put a buy and sell option without moving our coins to another platform.
Scalpers do not know anything like bull or bear season, all they know is to scalp by opening either long or short position and in some minutes they are going to close the position.

About the fee, scalpers prefer low trading fee exchanges and they prefer to use makers market order to close the position for lower fee.

Scalpers do have a target. Example is going for $5 profit in each trade. A scalper would calculate how they can earn money included for the fee. If the trading fee amounts to $5 in total ($2.5 for opening and another $2.5 for closing), they will close the position after earning $10 in a way that they will still earn $5 in total in each position closed.
2976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DID YOU STUDY? WHAT DID YOU LEARN? on: September 26, 2022, 11:47:58 AM
What stops us the most from becoming master traders?
Inability to further after some people consider trading to be risky and stop trading
Inability to learn trading charts and indicators
Not having safe plan that could help if indicators fail
Using more money than they can afford to lose
Looking for profit which they can not afford to lose the same amount of profit they are risking for
Using high leverage
Using altcoins that was not properly looked into (some altcoins are bad for trading)
Impatience
Going against the trends (I mean in crypto)
2977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Falling on: September 26, 2022, 10:56:15 AM
Quote
As per experts, the number of whales depositing their Bitcoins on the exchange has increased massively. Data depicts that around 90% of the deposits on exchanges have been from whales.
Last three months? It falled to $17600 which was a very great resistance support.

All I can say now is to advice people to just buy and hold, there would likely not be much further fall below $17500, even if bitcoin price would get to that price.

My advice for people that have bought before is that they should never sell in loss, they should wait because the bulls will come after the bears.  The bears of today are the bulls of tomorrow while more people will fomo and oin also.
2978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 25, 2022, 08:04:08 PM
That is why it is good not to use the amount of money you can not afford to lose to gamble. While gambling, you can lose or make profit, but gambling platforms make it in a way people are more likely to lose. I too have seen hell when I started to gamble, I lost a lot too and become addicted until I finally realized that we should not chase money with gambling, it is wrong.
2979  Economy / Speculation / Re: MY DAILY BITCOIN SPECULATIONS AND VIEWS on: September 25, 2022, 03:23:10 PM
I don't like to be too rigid about my dispositions regarding the market because anything can happen at the slightest chance. This is why I like to do daily speculations to guide me on what Bitcoin would do daily and this thread testifies to that. As much as I would advise anyone to be waiting for further development for proper guidance, the trend of Bitcoin remains bearish in both long-term and short-term bias. The weekly and monthly charts are extremely bearish in trend, while the daily chart still holds an overall bearish outlook.

Sellers could only be threatened if 19930.46 is broken upward, that is only when I can take the short-term buyers seriously. What is helping Bitcoin at the current levels is that its price is already low, sellers are exercising caution, while buyers are increasing at lower levels daily.

This is just a constraint toward smooth selling but doesn't imply a bullish trend for the market.
Neev mind this, but just my opinion.

The daily chart is not indicating bearish direction, even it is indicating bullish direction of bitcoin getting to $20000 again, which could be tomorrow. But this may not be certain and bear market can be what might occur, but indicating $17500 to likely be the support. About this, I prefer to go for bull side. Daily speculation this time may be wrong to go for more in bearish direction. I prefer for the market to dump little and I open the long position instead because bitcoin has fallen in price significantly. But that does not make you wrong. Although, I still believe that both bulls and bears would likely still be favoured in this present market. But, later, in long term like weeks to months, bulls would be favoured than the bears. We should always take into account the possible little bull markets that may result before the next big bull market.

On the monthly chart, the direction is not certain, but it is more indicating the bull direction for me. Just that to predict that can be more difficult because slight movement in the price in months can be of low fall or rise in candle candle stick and yet big increase or drop in price. But if someone can open a position that have liquidation at $10000, it is worth it. But the best is that 1BTC is 1BTC, it is monthly chart, just buy. If the price decrease, do not think about it, but have fun and know that bitcoin bulls would succeed as a result of the significant bear market that have occured. What follows the very sunny ☀️ time should be the rain 🌧️. What would follow the bear 🐻 market is the bull 🐂 market.

About the weekly chart, I have stopped using it like some weeks ago when I knew it was only (and yet still indicating) massively bear market, I hope other people should neglect it because it is not accurate at all. People should think more towards the bullish side, but the weekly chart is indicating massive bearish direction which would not likely going to happen. It indicated that bitcoin would likely drop to at least to $12500 some weeks ago but it did not happen. When bitcoin resisted $18000, the price has been going up, when I checked it today, it has moved from $12500 to $14900 today. I am expecting it to be moving up.
2980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance trading activity is 13x larger than any other exchange on: September 25, 2022, 10:08:10 AM
Given the fact that the Coinmarketcap rating belongs to Binance, this is not surprising. But if these volumes are really real, then Binance is a monopolist, which negatively affects the cryptocurrency market. Nevertheless, despite the mandatory KYC, this exchange is really in the first place in terms of its functionality and security.
The transaction volume is real, you can check Coingecko for that too. Using transaction volume or marketcap on exchanges, Binance is still the number one exchanges. But in transaction volume, Binance is 10x or more, greater than the second exchange.
