2961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 16, 2022, 08:01:21 AM
Recently, when people are withdrawing their money to personalized wallets, CZ says that  out of these people 99% of them will lose money, as only 1% of the people are capable of handling the non-custodial wallets.

‘99% of People' Will Lose Crypto Storing in Self-Custody: Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao

He may be right because most people do not understand the risk, if they are not careful they could lose all their crypto.  Some may lose their private keys and others may connect their wallet at scam sites and they will be deprived of their funds.

Education and understanding of non-custodial wallets is necessary.  A lot of people have move funds out of binance recently, lets see if they know how to safeguard their bitcoin/ altcoins in these wallets.

You see most comments are not as you think they are. Sometimes, some comments are made just to get some certain sets of people get frightened a little so as to make them do some thing or retract their actions which in one way has affected something somehow related to whom ever has made that comment or in favor of the person that made that comment.

 In the case of cz, I think this comment is technical and looking at some days past, there have been outflow of funds and assets out of binance in high volume for which cz himself confirmed that upon the issue of cz and binance to be investigated by us prosecutors.

He just might be right in his own comment because not every body is careful and smart in handling their assets and funds in their own various private wallet. While some are not good at proper safe keeping of keys, some are not wise enough to create a special wallet for other activities online.

In all, I think cz is right but to that 99% as he had said is not agreeable to some certain extent. Not all person's are the same. Therefore that percentage he mentioned is not factual. I think he just needs to prove his claim if he says 99%.

2963  Economy / Services / Re: Free NFT daily on: December 15, 2022, 07:52:03 PM
As I can see this is your first post as a new bie on board this platform. No question of enquiries about  how things works on this board but your are quick to make a comment of members buzzing you via your telegram handle for free nft. I would not be surprised people complaining about any abnormalities in the near future in respect to dealing with you.
I would also advise that anyone who is interested in getting the free nft should thread with caution as there are no verifiable proof from OP to ascertain the genuineness of his or her claim and also, OP  state it clear here the type of nft you are giving out for free, let us know the platform on which the nft operates. If possible, reference us to transaction hash of minted nft you have successfully executed in the past and lastly what utility value does your nft possesses.
2964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 15, 2022, 08:06:21 AM
Going by your topic, I see no reason why bitcoin should be in competition with other altcoins. Come to talk of it, bitcoin is the first digital currency to emanate so why the comparison. Well like they say things of value attracts more clients. If the altcoins projects are the type of good oriented ventures, I think they can do well and stand the test of time for a longer period with no interference on their existence. It is only a project with no value that fades away so easily or a scammer using a fake project to scam people of their hard earned resources which is not right and good in anyways.
Bitcoin was initially designed by Satoshi Nakamoto as a currency for p2p transaction but people hijacked it and turned it into an investment hub creating the knowledge of it being good for investment against the initial plan for it. So now, the majority of people coming onboard sees it as a means of investment and profit making business and so it will continue not until that impression already created could be corrected,

I see you are good at advertising. Are you trying to promote your casino or something? This makes me think companies try to advertise and get promoted through members conversation onboard the platform without any due diligence and attracting people to there conversations to inquiring about their casinos based on their platform predictions and other previous done predicted jobs. How do you convince me or others to bet with just a mere conversation here without any factual or statically proven records and wins of or in the past. What makes you feel your predictions are a win win game altogether?
Like you claim, if you truly are why not give us updated documentations of your previous casino betting or better still if you have none such I will advise you raise up a thread here where you could be updating your win win prediction regular so that when you have a good prediction you could reference the thread link so members could see and believe you for that. My thoughts.
2967  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 14, 2022, 09:58:38 PM
Abegy my people make una take this news serious. CBN d do everything in their power to make our currency appreciate for value against dollar. First na changing of naira notes, limiting day and weekly transactions and now they don come up with this one. Just within 2months to the end of this present tenure. Anyway, dem don try. If this can make our naira come alive again. I support am

I no sure say na make naira appreciate make Government dey redesign naira. Redesign no go help naira appreciate. The redesign just help make people wey don too hoard money release am make money for enter circulation again. But the e been help redeem naira that time e fall reach upto N900 to $1.
The withdrawal limit I dey see am as tool wey Buhari wan use enforce this free and fair election him don dey promise this while. When the old money dom commot finish, no body go fit withdraw the new money full 10 Ghana must go back carry dey go polling units. Na the idea be that.

Comrade, this idea for make brain o but as it stands now the economy no ryhme for that policy though but anyhow Sha e go be as the government want am to be. See ehn me I for like am so because this policy go frustrate those politicians wey dey buy vote for election day. Dem no go see money to take buy vote at all no be only that one sef people wey hoard money for house too go bring am out then answer government  how e take happen wey Dem keep that kind money for house make e be say e no go back to the economy for people to smile well. But see o make we also talk the other side too. This new note sef wey Dem want to mint 5000 ehn na enough looting be this o. Na so alhaji Dem go dey carry millions for their babariga dey go their various houses nobody go know. That wan go make the looting get better head for them.
2968  Other / Archival / Re: who played here? on: December 14, 2022, 09:07:42 PM
Has anyone played at this casino www.dexterbet.com ? Share reviews about them who have dealt with them or maybe someone knows a good casino with identical odds to their sportbook. Thank

This sounds more of an advertisement though. Seems you are good at that.  I suggest you do your own research properly before getting involved in any form of investment or deal with them. Research about the casino on their website, know their terms and conditions which should be the first thing you do before dealing with them, know their legal jurisdiction if it is ok to get involved with people from your location or nation. Never the less, I have not come across such casino onboard this platform. That name Sounds strange though but a quick review on the site shows their policies to be a bit favourable to customers and bettors. The graphics is quite appealing with a good user interface. From the looks, the casino seems to be a new one in the industry. If I am not mistaken, you happen to be the first person making a post and thread about them. My thoughts.
2969  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com | Futuristic Dice Platform 🎲🌌 on: December 14, 2022, 07:38:26 PM
Your casino is kind of good but I think you need to look into your faucet. It is a bit too dull and tiring. The graphics too is not that attractive to entice people to participating and if I may ask what is it with the black animated design you put there fore the faucet it does not make any sense to start with. The whole process involves loading and loading each to spin before you get a reward sometimes no rewards after scaling through the tiresome process very very irritating.

The bet too is another there is never a time one wins in your casino all bet gine lose on your casino. It is not good to go that way. I wonder how it was done so. Do you plan or intend for participants to keep loosing their funds on your platform?

For the spin and faucet I think you should put them all in a particular page by the side next should be a spin botton to click right on the same page which Wii spin there and live to give you your results.

Them lastly change the dark graphics you used for the last spin. Just my humble opinion.
2970  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: December 14, 2022, 07:08:57 PM
Several elements make up the perfect crypto casino. Having low withdrawal amounts and preferably no transaction fees are two crucial features. In this thread, I have made a table showing the minimum bitcoin withdrawal amounts on popular crypto casinos and how much they charge their players for bitcoin withdrawals.

You will notice that some casinos are highlighted in either green or red colouring. The sites with the lowest withdrawal limits are in green, and those with the highest are in red. The casinos with the lowest withdrawal fees are highlighted in green, while those who charge the most are in red.

This is not betting advice or recommendation on what platforms to gamble on. Do your own research before using any of the mentioned sites.

- If you notice any mistakes, feel free to comment, and I will correct them.
- Casinos with negative trust ratings were not considered. Relatively new and unproven platforms likewise.
- All data was taken from the official websites, either the payment pages or based on the information given by customer support.
- Some of the casinos are based on BTCGOSU’s Top GOSU Bitcoin Casinos in April 2021.
- Both casino withdrawal fees and bitcoin network fees were considered when calculating the total withdrawal fees.

This is very good. OP you have done a good job here by taking this bold steps as far by going live in air. Ordinarily, if not that you are a worker there, this shot you took would have cost you a whole lot of funds. You see their is difference in doing something and doing something with passion. Here OP just showed us what it means doing something with passion whereby he won't in air to make a live radio broadcast on bitcoin adoption and promotion.
Like myself, I have been on this for sometime now and it has been yielding positive results so far. The people I have been able to onboard have been thanking me for showing them the road. I just did what I know could be of benefit to them and sincerely speaking, they too have been onboarding their fellows out there and this is how the large scale adoption begins gradually from the bottom to the top. OP, you did very well in this step you took. I believe people that listened to you that day must have gained more knowledge and enlightenment on how bitcoin works.
2972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobel prize for Satoshi. on: December 14, 2022, 02:55:51 PM
I was scouting through internet and i came across this very interesting post on if Satoshi deserve a Nobel prize.
Infact many forums had discussed it
Infact a professor  Bhagwan Chowdhry at the University of California in the United States presented the proposal of Nobel prize for Satoshi stating that technology presented by Satoshi is the most significant development of the 21st Century and will have immense implications in the way finance will be conducted in the future

Personally i believe that Satoshi do deserve nobel prize for his work.
Especially after recent Ukraine crisis when we saw how donations could pour in in bitcoin. We saw how bitcoin can help people in events of war when banks were either closed or had frozen accounts.. People were homeless and short of money. We saw how bitcoin helped war affected people to overcome financial barriers and this showed the true potential of bitcoin and how it can support financial support and financial inclusion of poor and needy.

I believe for such a great contribution to science and humanity Satoshi do deserve a price, even when he is anonymous.

I request members to express their opinion as well.

Bitcoin l must say should be amongst one of the greatest achievements in the world do far. This award and recognition should have come long ago before now but I believe it was as a result of the counter argument and disagreement over the bitcoin policy that resulted to Satoshi not being recognized for his prestigious development. Now if I may ask even if he has been drafted to be given the award, do you think he would come out to showing himself to the world to accepting the honor? Do you not think it might be a bait to get at him?  If truly they had seen the effect and impart of his innovation was it today he invented it to have been recognized?  Award or no award, honour or no honour Satoshi has done more than what the award meant to the world.
2973  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: December 14, 2022, 12:45:20 PM
Hi there,

I'm part of a team developing a crypto/blockchain game that has big $$ prize potential. I'm doing some research and hoping this community can help. If you guys have any insight/thoughts on the following questions please share them. We are really trying to build something that is enjoyable for the crypto gaming/gambling community.

- What are some current pain points in the crypto gaming/gambling space for players?
- What would you like to see?
- What makes one game fun to play -- more so than other competitors that have similar games (ex: why you enjoy playing crypto poker on X site rather than site A)?
- Who are some absolute Degens in the space?
- Aside from BitcoinTalk (this forum) where else do you get your news that you trust (which newsletters, sites, which Youtubers, any twitter accounts)?

We just want to build this game the right way that players actually enjoy playing in addition to potential of winning big....  Grin

Thanks all.

Your innovation is a welcome development. Creativity speaks more on technology than mere talking. You asking question here to finding solutions to your  upcoming project would likely get you into numerous options both the meaningful and the meaningless ones which is not required and neither would you need them at the long run. If you are being given a whole lots of suggestion, would you be able to implement them ? the question is upto you to answer in your closest. I would suggest you go on with your research and also have a look at other platforms try see what they have onboard their platforms that makes them unique, compare them with what you have at hand check the difference  and see if you have what it takes to beat them hands down in the industry. After working on it, you can bring it here for a review for which i know for sure you would get responses and  positive feedback's from platform members in respect to your project. If you should start with that step of asking the above question here now, believe me you you would get confused.

Before I proceed, I want to ask you a question. Do you really agree with me that without exchange bitcoin  circulation and recognition would not have attained this height. I understand the fact that these days, Third party exchanges are best and good at conducting trade and all is still very much good. It does not necessarily mean that they would fall though in some cases, they are better than nothing. Exchange is for the smooth  facilitating and circulation of your Bitcoin globally. People tend to buy more from exchange than holding a p2p transaction. So therefore you know what that probably means. Exchange can't do without bitcoin
And bitcoin needs the help of the exchange to facilitate easier purchase and ownership

2975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We No Longer Pay People Directly on: December 13, 2022, 09:27:44 PM

The less we use cash, the more we pay people through a corporation. The last remaining use of cash and direct payments is Tipping.
Everything else we must pay through a corporation. We cannot pay another human unless there is a corporation involved. As cash disappears this becomes a final fact -- a corporation involved in every financial transaction you pursue. In each transaction, the corporation is taking their percentage but also controls and monitors your transaction.

If I may get you clear and from your own point of view I was able to get the fact that you do tipping by fiat most when it gets cooperate body involved and you have a regular payment through Bitcoin which has long been your routine or culture if you may wish. Well I am not surprised because bitcoin was initially designed for the alternative payment which is a p2p form and that has been the stance since it's inception as a digital recognized currency. Bitcoin was built to avoid third party and to encourage digital payment with speed and transparency without any form of irregularities as the usual pattern of delay and others. I think this step you have taken in payment is a good one and it definitely would yield positive results soonest. Keep up with the promotion in your own way and watch as others follow your step.

Everyone was paid last night I have 1 open spot for a full member or below. Everyone can apply.

RULE CHANGE

I've decided to tweet the merit rule once again. No longer will merit affect the payscale. 90%+ of you earn the 1 merit per week with no issues. Only a couple have issues getting a merit. I cannot speculate why they do not get the merit except maybe to say they may need to improve quality or post in different boards. Other than that, who knows.

You are really a good manager. Putting everyone into consideration is what most find difficult.
Payment received with thanks.
2977  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Help choose a cryptocurrency exchanger! on: December 13, 2022, 01:02:30 PM
Hey, guys. I'm writing to appeal that I can't choose a good cryptocurrency exchanger with minimal fees. I'm waiting for your answers! Wink

If you are afraid of fees then you have no much clues  about the system. You would be looking or wanting recommendations for less fee exchange and get into the wrong ones which are unpopular and new in existence. If they scam you, your assets together with your funds are all gone. So I will advise you to go do your own research on long existing exchange with good reputation from the masses and verified on coin market cap with huge daily trading volume. With this, you are guaranteed of your funds being safe for trading. But you should remember that " not your keys, not your coin" still stands. The transaction fee should not be an issue rather the safety of your assets and funds should be your priorities.
2978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The US Prosecutors are at it again against binance and CZ. on: December 12, 2022, 03:36:22 PM
If we are to go by this recent update from gcko.io on binance and cz  then their is likely going to be another melt down.
The US prosecutors are at it again in their usual clampdown on Crypto currencies and exchanges thereby causing a drastic drop in the Crypto market. If binance should be conducting kyc for members onboard their platform how come they could not detect the money laundering activities going on onboard their platform. As it stands now, this would definitely cause another panic in the space as binance is the world leading exchange so therefore it would not be too long we would be up to hearing another news again. This year has been very rough and turbulent for the Crypto industry as it has it downs more than it it's up as it could mention or think of.

Do remember the "not your keys not your coin" movement to safeguard your assets and funds.

2979  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun13.com seeding event on: December 11, 2022, 07:38:38 PM
We will be launching the Fun13 seeding event this week, To prove our fairness we have generated a chain of 10,000,000 SHA256 hashes where each hash is the hash of the hexadecimal representation of the previous hash. The last hash in the chain is: d45484be76d31ab9f11b68f8b6280812e4f12f8287567b3b844a30da7103f949

Every game maps to a hash in the chain: The 10,000,000th element of the chain is the hash of game #1 and the first element in the chain is the hash of game #10,000,000. To verify that a hash belongs to a game #n, simply hash it n times and compare the result with the terminating hash.

To calculate a game's result from its hash:
Code:
const gameHash = hashChain.pop()

const hmac = createHmac('sha256', gameHash);

// blockHash is the hash of bitcoin block 761700

hmac.update(blockHash);

const hex = hmac.digest('hex').substr(0, 8);
const int = parseInt(hex, 16);

// 0.01 will result in 1% house edge with a lowest crashpoint of 1

const crashpoint = Math.max(1, (2  32 / (int + 1)) * (1 - 0.01))

blockHash used is Bitcoin block 761700 which has not been mined at time of posting. Basically we are using the hash of a future bitcoin block as a client seed so players can be certain that we did not pick one in the house's favor.

Welcome onboard the bitcointalk  platform. As i see this post looks more of advertisement with no graphics presentation. I checked your profile and found out that  you are yet to register for the copper membership so you could upload pictures. OP if you can clearly see, most comments on your raised topic seems pointing towards your credibility and reputation here because you already  had negative trust and to the best of my knowledge, accounts with such flag has a problem with their credibility onboard this platform or maybe a reported case about them. Now i believe before joining the chips.gg you read through and signed an undertaken before becoming one of them on board their platform. If I may ask you this question how many mouths do you have? from your post, only you said they paid you and again they did not, which do you really want us to truly believe. I checked again and found out that reputable members onboard this platform flagged you which means you have more questions to answer but anyways, that is not a problem though but seems you need to clear the air first before anything else could be done before placing demand on anything.
