2961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 28, 2021, 11:23:25 PM
But are you able to captalise on any fixed matches? I highly doubt it.

There are a ton of scammers who fake having fixed matches information but at the end of the day what they're trying to do is just get you to pay them a share of any profits you make. They do this until you lose - in which case, of course, they just stop contacting you.

I've personally seen these scams happen in the past and it's all a game of numbers. The more people they reach out to, the more likely someone is going to win and think that the matches are actually fixed.

There's no way a "real person" who claimed to have inside information about the fixed match will offer it to a random community just like here in the forum.

Any form of such offer is considered a scam. I actually not alarmed on that but rather think, are there really people who will fall on that crap?
As difficult as you think it is to believe people fall into that kind of scam all the time, just recently I remember there was a thread offering something like that and while the majority of the people were smart enough to recognize it was a scam the alleged scammer claimed that in fact someone had agreed to make business with him.

Now it is possible he was lying to cover himself and make his offer appear more legitimate, but I will not be surprised at all if that was actually true.

Actually, since I enter the forum, there are lots of threads created by some random guys claiming they have inside information of a possible fixed match. Since no proof or actually even they have proof, that was against fair play and I think the forum won't allow it here. That's the reason why future threads with the same intention are tagged as a scam right away.

If those alleged scammers claimed that someone got to make a business to them, it's part of their fabricated stories.
2962  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think October will be for alts? on: October 28, 2021, 11:06:34 PM
October had many events notable for the entire cryptocurrency market: Ethereum almost recovered to $ 4,500, and Bitcoin's price surpassed $ 66,000, which is a good sign that October will be a great month for most cryptocurrencies. Now I am closely watching the process of collaboration between polygon, stellar and nws. I have high expectations for these coins. What do you think of this project? Could this significantly affect the price? Also, I would like to see your predictions for the altcoin market for October, which altcoin do you believe in and what fundamentals can drive growth?

It's always a boom to crypto when it approaches 4Q of every year. Now try to analyze the prior happening a quarter later. Although past performance can't guarantee future results, it's a good reference for our future decision.

Try to take advantage of the price trend today. If your instinct tells you that it's a good decision to make some short-term trades, then do it. I'm sure you have the capability to form a strategy that you can use at every trend.
2963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOL failed to break ATH on: October 28, 2021, 10:59:06 PM
Solana (SOL) rallied 30% and almost touched the all-time high levels of $216 after breaking out above a pennant formation. SOL missed the ATH  price by just $1, according to Binance.

Solana is expected to see some consolidation around the $200 mark. Should the support at $192 fail, Solana can explore lower levels ($177) before any new attempt to break the all-time high occurs. Expect significant volatility from Solana over the short term. For now solana is at the price of 198.80$ is it the best time to invest in Solana or not?

Breaking another ATH over ATH shouldn't always be expected. Remember that when there's hype, there's always an attempt to spoil the momentum.

For the question, if it's the best time to invest in Solana, it's up on your DYOR and risk management. How do you see the current trend? What are your thoughts regarding the price movement? Form an analysis based on your given factors and decide what to do next.
2964  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 28, 2021, 10:54:36 PM
There are too many people who buy when it is going up and sell when it is going down. That is a bit of a problem in the crypto world, I do not know how we can fix it but I believe that it is certainly something that would be a bit weird if you consider what we are doing right now. I mean if we buy when it is going down and sell when it is going up then we are making a profit and that is how trading is done, that is exactly what we should be doing.

However, if we are making a loss right at when we should be making a profit because we are doing exactly the opposite then I am not going to be really sure how to help these people out neither.

I think in general, that is the norm that everyone should follow: "purchase low, sell high" in order to maximize any profit from our investments.

The only problem that I see is that people sometimes mistakenly invest into BTC without even knowing what it is. Then, they start to complain once their investment goes down by 5-10% without even knowing about its volatility. Then, they start to spread rumors and fake information about BTC being regarded as a 'scam' since their friends profited and they lost.

Before you invest, it is advisable to do proper research into any investment. Blindly investing into something without even knowing its nature, history, and currency would lead to one's downfall.

Even with research prior to investing in crypto, without actual experience, those new investors won't understand anything. They won't know the pressure until they are now currently in the situation.

To become a good and better investor in the long run, they should experience all the worst things in crypto for them to become more be careful in their next actions. Those worst experiences will also be served as their foundation to minimize their mistakes along the way. And more importantly, that's their test if they really want to continue or pursue their crypto journey for long.

Professional traders nor investors, won't reach their status of being a better one if they didn't experience lots of mistakes while they progress.
2965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Make Sure to Stake your Tokens or You'll Miss Out on Great Passive Income on: October 27, 2021, 11:50:33 PM

As far as our own DYOR tells us that it's worth staking a certain coin, then just do it and hope for the best in the future. But remember not to expect too much that by staking, it will yield a great passive income. Always look at staking terms and be aware of those so you won't be surprised by a sudden change.

Follow their community as much as possible and always interact with people there. Try to be updated as always.
2966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 27, 2021, 11:47:22 PM

I'm expecting a close game on Game 4 but it turned out not. TNT is really too much to handle. Magnolia should at least give TNT a hard way to the championship. The way they played, they are already out of the will to win. Advanced congratulations to the comeback of Coach Chot Reyes in the PBA.

It's now turned to the championship of TNT Katropa at this conference. I don't see them losing 3 in a row.
2967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: advantages in the cryptocurrency industry on: October 27, 2021, 11:43:39 PM
There are 3 options to profit in the cryptocurrency industry. according to my version like this:
 - Trading: It is called a way to get more money by trading cryptos, either by transferring between them or by providing exchange services.
 - Investment: There are many cryptocurrencies with a good future, but I only recommend Bitcoin and Ethereum.
 - Gambling: sometimes beneficial and sometimes detrimental. I don't recommend it at all (risk high)
Don't invest yet until you're able to understand the whole concept of cryptocurrencies and how volatile this market is.
There is a process before you can do that, however, you can start by buying bitcoin with around the smallest amount that you can test to see how it feels like owning it but you won't feel the fluctuations since it's just a small amount.

Nice advice but for me no need to wait to reach the capability to understand the whole concept of cryptocurrencies and how volatile this market is. Basic knowledge is enough to start and for people to fully understand what they are doing is to engage themselves in the actual scene. With active money on risk, they will feel the pressure of dealing in the market volatility and how to profit from it.

The process will be learned automatically as long as these people are serious to learn. As I always said, "trust the process".
2968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling addiction is getting real on: October 27, 2021, 11:37:49 PM
lost 20k in 2 days , used up all my profits from my portfolio , and i just wanted to keep on going . how you guys stop yourself from betting/gambling on casino ?

looking for ways to bet on sportsbook but not on casino , but stake does not provide the option for that .  Undecided

The fact that after losing a total of 20,000 (on what figures?) you were still able to ask the community a question like that, then you are still on your right mind to know what's the best thing to do. If you want to keep going, that's your choice. For someone who affords to gamble an amount like that, I'm expecting they know what they are doing.

And what do you mean by "Stake"? The Stake.com gambling platform? Aside from casinos, they are also a sportsbook. It's weird and impossible for me that you didn't see that on the site as a person that owns a decent amount of money.

2970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum reach $5,000 by 2021? on: October 27, 2021, 11:28:37 PM
Unfortunately today the price of ethereum dropped more than 5%, which made the price drop below $4000, but I am optimistic that the price of ethereum this year can reach $5000, just need a little positive sentiment from the market to make the price of ethereum skyrocket and reach $500000.

If a 5% drop is "unfortunate" for you then I don't know if you truly deserve the possible skyrocketing price that will happen on Etherium in the future.

I don't know if you are serious but try to just become optimistic within just the realistic thing that will happen as the $500,000 price you mentioned won't be achieved even we count for 5 years.

I'm 100% sure about that.
2971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A curious case of mine on: October 27, 2021, 11:19:52 PM
Guys I've been using uniswap and pancake swap for some time now but something a thought always come to my head, is connecting your wallet to these two Dex platforms safe? Is connecting wallet to these platforms revealing one private keys?

Connecting on these platforms doesn't mean they will have some access to your private keys. There's no way they can manage to steal your keys.

But remember, before using platforms like that, not just on Uniswap or PancakeSwap, make sure you are dealing with the right website. And by using common sense, once a platform asks to log your private keys, you should already know the drill.
2972  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Wax NFT GAMES on: October 25, 2021, 11:03:04 PM

Mas madali na kasi mag-mine ngayon doon unlike before dami loading at pop-up lol tapos low rewards kaya nakakatamad. May mga high tier items pa ako na naiwan dun. Then iyong mga di nagagamit naka-stake sa RPlanet. Walang hype pero at least may stake. Wala namang ibang gagawin e kahit di bisitahin ng ilang taon hehe.

Another one, Prospectors. Di ko na rin masyado nabibisita and no idea magkano na palitan ng PGL to WAX.

About sa news naman, punta ka lang sa main page ng Wax Wallet mo. May mga ads doon sa taas. Minsan pag may upcoming NFT, nilalagay nila doon. Pati rin sa ibang DAPPS nakapost mga ads. Install ka rin ng FTX sa Anroid (former Blockfolio), minsan kasama sa news update nila about WAX.
2973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat-betting to crypto+betting on: October 25, 2021, 10:45:04 PM
@harizen: If you have a gambling site, will you allow kyc? Those that make kyc mandatory are not yet in the game. Main aim of Bitcoin is anonymous identity so why kyc. Government are coming. They want to control crypto same way they control Fiat. Pilot your ship and ignore them like a pot hole

Why asked that question for me? In the first place, it's not what I mean to my subject.

First of all, gambling sites within the crypto world "should not" have KYC terms. I'm vocal about that since then and in case my preferred gambling sites ask for mandatory KYC, I will not use them anymore. I mentioned that several times before.

And for your question why the government is coming is because people themselves are seeking help from the government in case of a money-laundering regarding their crypto-transactions. A good example is the crypto exchange. Before, most exchanges don't have a forced KYC for their users but today, almost all crypto-exchanges do have that mandatory requirement. Some gambling sites are now also asking for KYC if their account got flagged or having a big win. With that cases, we can't expect that we can still feel the full privacy and anonymity using crypto-gambling platforms.
2974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat-betting to crypto+betting on: October 25, 2021, 10:18:33 PM
@harizen: The government may later come after crypto betting with kyc but I know there will be some platforms that will need no kyc. Government are stubborn but with time, crypto will be everywhere.

It's expected and the fact there are gambling sites already that imposed a mandatory KYC. Game license providers are the ones being pressured.

Everyone should be ready for that. It's just unfortunate that we might not soon experience the very first reason why we choose crypto-betting. But today, just enjoy the privilege and perks we are experiencing playing in our favorite crypto-gambling sites.
2975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: October 25, 2021, 10:05:42 PM
We did not hear words from Casimero regarding this fight, so that's uncharacteristic of him as he usually do trash-talks before the actual fight.

What could be the reason? a change of style?

Yes, I have also noticed that. He was being aggressive to the likes of Inoue and Donaire which is far more competitive and dominant compare to Butler. Maybe since his purse on this fight is "as is", no need for him to make an extra effort creating hype on the fight to sell it to the community.

There might be also some serious approach taken against him for too many talks regarding his supposed fight with Inoue. Remember that he already announced it to the media without an unofficial negotiation and ended up fighting a mandatory challenge with Butler.
2976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NO KYC Sportbooks? on: October 25, 2021, 10:00:04 PM
What are some sportbooks that will NEVER ask for KYC

We will never know if KYC won't be asked in the future. You have to be ready on that the same way as to how popular crypto-trading platforms make KYC as mandated. I'm not sure when but we are not talking about KYC will be imposed on gambling sites just quick.

On the current bookie you are betting on, or preferred in the future, just continue using them while KYC is not imposed. For sure it will count several years before KYC will start to impose on gambling sites.

Don't think about that "for now".
2977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 25, 2021, 09:55:14 PM

Alright, here I go again with my fearless bet on high odds.  Orlando Magic @7.2 against the much stronger Miami Heat. Not expecting Magic to win but who knows. I'm really an enthusiast of this underdog betting since then.

On the serious side, here's my bet:

Bucks -2.5 @ 2.03. This is the best worthy bet I have seen so far. They should at least cover it dealing against the Indiana Pacers even this team just came from a win over a healthy Miami Heat.
2978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: October 25, 2021, 09:40:32 PM
This depends on two factors for me.

1. I would check the history of those fighters and see if the fighter B has a chance or not. If he does not have any chance then I would put my money on fighter A.
But if the fighter B does have some chances of winning then I would put money of fighter B.

2. If the left over money i.e., $10 is something that I can afford to lose then I would risk it on the fighter B and otherwise fighter A.

1. Chance? It was already decided on the odds given to both fighters. And as far as how OP constructs the statement, it's look there's no plan for any research. Just a quick decision whether what fight will be chosen on that amount. And for a $10 bet, I think it's not necessary to go thru a deep analysis unless OP is eyeing to continue the journey from $10 capital.

2. Yes, it's just a leftover since it was left on the account. Place a bet on the underdog and wait for the result. The unexpected result always happened in fighting sports e.g boxing, MMA, etc.
2979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 25, 2021, 09:33:32 PM
In sportsbooks we can't avoid this issue since it's all about money, we can't investigate or do research to proof it's fixed match since they were do it behind almost perfect without any trace. Usually this happen when the favorited player/team with good history didn't play well or very close fights. Of course it's really frustrated to see their bad performance and losing our bets, but it is what it is we can't really do anything.

It's like gambling over the usual gambling. In any case, that's also an advantage to those who will bet on the ream that was supposed to win by fixed match, if any. Still like the usual placing of bets but any analysis is useless. Still the same, wait for the results and that's it.

An issue of fixed matches should not be a big deal for bettors as in general, the majority of matches are still played properly within the fair gameplay. Don't believe in those random people saying they have an information that a certain match will be fixed,
2980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 25, 2021, 09:25:23 PM
Westbrook is still below his standard, only scored 13 points but I'm glad Melo bring back the clock and he was the leading scorer of the team with 28 pionts and 6-8 shooting from 3, that was insane.  Smiley

Actually, 13 points are already good but only if it was shot on a good percentage. He still struggles but at least there's an improvement. On the other hand, Westbrook also tallied 13 assists on that game and just 3 rebounds shy of a possible triple-double.

That Lakers win might trigger something good while they progress. Again, as I mentioned before, it's not making sense to just judge this team for a few games. And now look, the air was changed from worst to better because of that win. And once they lose again, people will speculate again that there's no chemistry on this team.
