2961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Crypto bans are temporary, we are on the right side of history. on: July 09, 2021, 06:02:25 AM
I agree with your point, but the countries that impose bans over cryptocurrency, usually aren't banning the cryptocurrencies(the blockchains). This means that it's not illegal to own cryptocurrencies.
They are banning cryptocurrency mining and (in some cases) crypto trading.
No blockchain has ever been banned in any country in the world.
It has been said many times that governments aren't hostile towards blockchain technology. They can be hostile towards crypto mining and crypto trading on unregulated platforms(that end up being scams).
Internet phone software was a technology, cryptocurrencies are an asset/medium or exchange.
We have to distinguish the technology from the financial asset.
2962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the next economic crisis in the world instead cause financial inflows into on: July 08, 2021, 12:43:47 PM
What is likley to happen to BTC in the imidiate aftermath of a global economic crash, and what will a recovery look like in comparison to the economy?

Are you talking about the post-pandemic era?
I actually expect the global economy to recover pretty fast after the pandemic is over. There will be high levels of inflation, but sometimes inflation can a serve as a booster of the economic activity.I'm sure that the central banks will find a way to put inflation under control.
What will happen to Bitcoin?Well,I think that Bitcoin is still bullish in the long term.It doesn't matter if the global economy begins a new era of rapid economic growth or we face a sudden economic collapse after the pandemic.
In both cases Bitcoin will be a desirable financial asset.
2963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never be gone on: July 08, 2021, 12:28:37 PM
Its been so many years since I learned of bitcoin talk.I was amaze of this kind of currency.satoshi is so bright and smart person.even though we never know him personally and where he is.the bitcoin that he made is so so amazing.thats why until now I am thinking the great things happen in our life to have bitcoin.and now bitcoin was known all over the world.and they using bitcoin already as fiat.thats why I do believe that bitcoin will never be gone anymore.bitcoin will be part of our life forever.
How about you? Do we have the same idea of bitcoin?

Everything in the universe has a beginning and ending.Nothing lasts forever.
Thinking that Bitcoin will last FOREVER is simply naive. We can't be sure about how long the human civilization will survive. Will it continue for the next 100 years or 5000 years,or maybe 100000 years.
Technology is getting obsolete way faster than before.17 years ago,a company like Myspace was dominating the social media.Myspace is gone now and Facebook and Instagram are dominating social media.
Bitcoin can be replaced by a better payment system,if such system occurs.
2964  Economy / Economics / Re: A message from my bank saying they will not allow me to purchase from Binance on: July 08, 2021, 12:04:26 PM
So I would say this is a deliberate, arbitrary choice of said institution.

That's correct. And OP has two obvious choices:
1. Give up Binance, at least for buying Bitcoin. Use a different exchange.
2. Give up that bank, it's not the only one in UK.

I don't use the same banking services for my monthly income and for crypto exactly for this kind of reasons: banks may - sooner or later - arbitrarily decide against Bitcoin and it's better to stay flexible.

It's a pain in the a$$ to have 10 bank accounts and to use some of them for your crypto purchases.
Therefore,I decided to never buy Bitcoins from platforms like Coinbase or Binance.
I don't want my bank accounts being blocked for some stupid reason, like buying Bitcoins.
Perhaps I will use services like Localbitcoins and Paxful. The fees are higher, but the process of buying Bitcoins isn't so direct.
Binance will become FCA regulated sooner or later.I don't like them, but at least they are trying to comply with the laws and regulations, just like every big company.
2965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to distribute 21 million Bitcoins for a population of 7.8 billion? on: July 08, 2021, 05:53:44 AM

The world population is about 7.8 billion, and the current number of bitcoins is about 17 million. If you don’t consider investment institutions holdings, the per capita is about 0.0021794 BTC. But in 2140, bitcoin mining will end, and the world’s population is estimated to reach 14 billion. I want to know what kind of distribution of Bitcoin will appear at that time? Will people use Bitcoin for normal transaction payments? I think there is no right or wrong view, but I believe that there will be other digital currencies to assist Bitcoin. Where will Bitcoin go?

We can't be sure about the global population in 2140.It might be 14 billion, but it might go below 7 billion.
Elon Musk was talking about a possible decrease of the global population in the next few decades.
Other digital currencies won't assist Bitcoin. They will compete against Bitcoin for a bigger market share.
Bitcoin was not meant to be equally distributed among all the people in the world. Why do crypto newbies keep asking that question?
2966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why more women to trade crypto? on: July 08, 2021, 05:29:33 AM
Funnily how they're trying to force certain genders into certain industries.

Nursing, education, and social-related jobs are female dominated; whereas physical-related , computer-related, and architecture jobs are male dominated. WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE.

This is feminist propaganda and nothing else.
Is anyone or anything stopping women from trading cryptocurrencies or having a Bitcoin wallet?I don't think so.
The cryptocurrency industry is male dominated, because men are usually more tech savvy and more interested into financial stuff.Women are more than welcome in the cryptocurrency world, but it's not our problem, that the vast majority of women don't express any interest in digital finance and blockchain technology.
2967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the practical value of Bitcoin on: July 07, 2021, 11:47:41 AM
How do you define the term "practical value"?
If you think that there is such thing as "practical value",then what about "theoretical value"?
I assume that by practical value, you mean utility.Bitcoin is not a utility token and it never will be.
What do you mean by "storage value"?Simply storing Bitcoins in your wallet doesn't mean that their value will increase.Bitcoin is not a bank deposit or a savings account.
The value of BTC is defined by limited supply and increasing demand.BTC value=scarcity.
2968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for bitcoin traders !!! on: July 07, 2021, 11:27:28 AM
The current Bitcoin price fluctuates between 31K and 35K USD.I wouldn't call this a big fluctuation.Actually, the Bitcoin market is pretty calm right now.Only the total newbies would freak out, when the Bitcoin price drops by 5-10%. A real trader has a plan or a strategy.A newbie trader simply follows trends and gets surprised every time, when the trend shifts to an unexpected direction.
A real trader cannot be overwhelmed by price fluctuations. The problem is that almost all cryptocurrency traders aren't real traders. They are just amateurs and wannabe traders, who are pretending to be professional traders.
2969  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Prices and Transaction Volumes After Difficulty Change on: July 07, 2021, 11:05:03 AM
I guess that the decrease of mining difficulty will decrease the transaction fees for a while.
This can potentially boost the transaction volume so more people will move the Bitcoins, that are sitting in their wallets, instead of HODLing them forever. After all, owning Bitcoins means spending them for goods and services, not waiting for the Bitcoin price to hit 1M USD somewhere around 2038 and selling those BTC for fiat. Grin  Satoshi would be disappointed,if all the bitcoiners are simply waiting and HODLing.
However,I don't believe that a new FOMO phase will start anytime soon.
2970  Economy / Economics / Re: Jeff Bezos and many top amazon executives leave in mass exodus on: July 07, 2021, 06:51:36 AM
I don't think that the departure of Bezos has anything to do with the global 15% tax initiative.
He's just tired and wants to focus on other projects.
I also don't think that the Amazon business model will change.Letting people and companies re-sell cheap stuff imported from China?Sounds like a great business model to me,unless Alibaba steps in and starts competing with Amazon. Grin
Was Amazon even profitable after all those years? Is Amazon a giant tech bubble, that is about to pop?

Before the birth of Bitcoin, we never thought that private individuals could issue currency, nor did we think that digital currency could truly be used as a payment medium, let alone the rationality of the existence of legal currency. But when Bitcoin was born, everything changed.

I think that you are wrong about this.
1.The concept of a currency, which is not created and owned by the government exists way before Bitcoin.
2.Paypal(digital currency) existed years before Bitcoin was created.
3.What do you mean by "everything changed"?Nothing has changed after the birth of Bitcoin.Fiat still dominates the world of finance and it will continue to dominate in the upcoming several decades.
Bitcoin changed the lives of a few million people around the globe, but that doesn't mean that BTC "changed everything".
2972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC? on: July 06, 2021, 11:15:34 AM
I trust the banks in my country and I also trust Bitcoin, which means that I trust my self and my BTC wallet.
I certainly don't trust cryptocurrency exchange platforms and crypto casinos.
Bank deposits in my country are guaranteed by the government to a certain amount(100K euro),so my money are safe, even when the bank goes bankrupt.I'm not sure about whether or not my bank will try to scam me.So far I've never been scammed by any bank.I can't say the same about crypto exchange platforms or crypto casinos.
2973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's transaction volume in 2029 on: July 06, 2021, 06:00:50 AM
Satoshi expects bitcoin to have a binary outcome and quoted "I’m sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume."

We are currently 8 years away from the 20 year mark.

What do you think will happen by 2029?

At this point,we are just speculating about what will happen to Bitcoin in "insert random year of the future"?
Satoshi was wrong about this.Thinking that it's going to be either one outcome or the other and nothing in between.I think that the Bitcoin transaction volume in 2029 is going to be a little bit higher than 2021,but nothing drastic.
We don't know what does Satoshi meant by "very large transaction volume"?Is the current transaction volume of Bitcoin very large or is it medium?
2974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to Bitcoin in 100 years? on: July 06, 2021, 05:35:17 AM
To be honest,I don't care about what will happen to Bitcoin in 100 years.
Bitcoin might upgrade and turn into Bitcoin 2.0 or Bitcoin 4.0 after several decades,or it might be dethroned by a better altcoin or a new technology.
I don't believe that anyone would wasting be energy to mine Bitcoins on the Moon or Mars.Electricity that is produced on the Moon or Mars would be very expensive,so mining won't be profitable and also I don't think that the people, who will colonize the Moon and Mars would need cryptocurrencies to pay for goods and services.
2975  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Български (Bulgarian) on: July 05, 2021, 12:41:30 PM

The congressman also said that cryptocoins must become compliant with federal regulations and laws for them to ever become mainstream instruments for conducting transactions. Does everyone really want regulations or do those people only want a pump and thought regulations would bring it?

I cryptocoin is just a tool and cannot be "compliant with federal regulations and laws".
I guess that this congressmen is talking about companies, that operate in the cryptocurrency industry.
Most of the cryptocoins/crypto companies are already complaint with federal regulations and laws.
Only privacy coins like Monero will face some problems with the law.

There’s a significant sentiment, increasing sentiment, in Congress that if you’re participating in an anonymous crypto transaction that you’re a de-facto participant in a criminal conspiracy.

Anyone involved in anonymous crypto transactions will be suspected for criminal conspiracy. What? Angry
This is means that everyone is guilty, until he/she proves his/her innocence.I guess that USA will throw the presumption of innocence into the garbage. This is a violation of basic human rights.

2977  Economy / Economics / Re: Vietnam Becomes Latest Country to Turn to Crypto on: July 05, 2021, 11:57:41 AM
This is a clickbait article with a misleading title.
The Vietnamese prime minister wants the central bank of Vietnam to launch a blockchain-based cryptocurrency-which means anther central bank digital currency(CBDC).CBDC have nothing to do with crypto. They are just mimicking cryptocurrencies, while staying centralized and fully controlled by the government/central bank.
This doesn't mean that Vietnam is becoming open towards cryptocurrencies or "turning into crypto".
I don't expect Vietnam to become crypto friendly,as long as China remains hostile towards the crypto industry. Those two countries are connected by the same ideology. Grin

But China will also foresee this information in advance, and the most reliable way is to implement quantitative easing policies. To achieve the same level of quantitative easing as the United States, so as not to suffer losses after the epidemic is over.

The People's bank of China can't compete with the Federal reserve, when it comes to quantitative easing.
The Federal Reserve can print unlimited money, while PBOC have to rely on it's currency reserves,in order to inject fresh money inside the Chinese economy and financial sector.
I don't really believe that Chinese economy will suffer after the pandemic is over.I actually think that it will be quite the opposite. The global economy will recover from the pandemic, which means that the global demand for Chinese goods will increase.
2979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin and Crypto Really Like the Early Internet? on: July 05, 2021, 06:42:51 AM
People, who are comparing cryptocurrencies to the early internet and usually comparing the dotcom bubble with the cryptocurrency price bubbles. They are simply comparing market price trends and patterns, not the technology.
Blockchain technology couldn't exist without internet,so comparing blockchain technology and internet is like comparing an egg to a chicken.
Internet is the foundation and the blockchain technology is one of the additional layers of technology over that foundation.
2980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the only thing that humans cannot control on: July 03, 2021, 12:49:42 PM
OP,your post seems like a bunch of BS. Grin
Bitcoin is the ONLY thing that humans cannot control? The ONLY THING?What about the weather, mother nature and the universe? Can humans control everything in the universe?
Humans can control the BTC blockchain,if there's consensus.
Humans can control the Bitcoin price(to a certain extend). This has been proven many times before.
Bitcoin is not some kind of deity or a monster. It's a system, which is created by humans and controlled by humans.BTC is not a supernatural force. Grin
