2961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Bitcoin as inheritance on: May 02, 2020, 09:27:07 AM
Keeping a paper wallet is a hard task , but I do think at the end of the day you would have to use a centralized body to keep it into a safe location. Because sooner or later it would be problematic to keep it safe by yourself.
Even banks have an entitled locker assigned if you want to keep some documents or something precious there , I do think you can hire a lawyer and give him instructions , the family can directly be contacted by the lawyer and given instructions .
Your idea is good too but I do think to be safe , if I had enough Bitcoins to pass it as inheritance , I would like to use a centralized body . Ironic .
2962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pet shop want to become a bitcoin exchange? on: April 30, 2020, 11:45:04 AM
See if you are going to do that , you would have to first consider how you are going to exchange , choose a good wallet store them in it .
Or if you are scared of the volatility , you can just exchange the amount right at the time using some exchange but it would be nothing different than receiving money , Fiat .
Therefore I do think you should try and make an online user interface and then you can decide how many people are actually interested in it .
2963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happend..... on: April 30, 2020, 11:42:02 AM
One cannot actually decide how the other person perceives anything , especially Bitcoins , it is not centralized therefore one cannot force it on others .

The volatile value of Bitcoins have since forever scared the investors away , the Whales are holding approximately 50% of the Bitcoins therefore they can sway away the price of Bitcoins in whatever way they want .

I do think even though we are not at a really amazing point in the history of Bitcoins but it will still take years for people to be able to use Bitcoins for daily activities, it is something of the future I believe .

Give it time.
2964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the odds of winning the casino on: April 29, 2020, 07:41:53 PM
One have to talk about probability here .
In simpler terms , if you are playing a game in the casino where you are rolling a dice and you have placed your bets on one number .

The odds will be 1/6 .  16.6% .

If you are playing a more complicated game , let's take 2 dices . It will be , 1/6*1/6

1/12 - 8.3% .

The more complex the game is the harder it is to win , with cards you have to use computation and one can easily calculate your odds of winning which are not very good :') .

You need luck man 😂 , either luck or you need an amazing computational mind ( which in most casinos is banned ) .

Maths+ casinos never mix.
2965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why there is no Standard Marketplace like Amazon with BTC as payment method?? on: April 29, 2020, 07:36:30 PM
I know...there are smaller marketplaces that people can buy/sell goods via bitcoin, but why a major marketplace is not emerging??

I know for a fact, there is a huge demand for purchasing of goods with BTC...even users from this forum is enough to give the marketplace a supply chain issue Grin Grin

1. is the problem in supply side? are sellers worried taking payments via BTC bcas of volatility
2. is there a logistically inefficiency, that smaller sellers can never compete with the likes of amazon
3. is the transaction speed an issue for retail transactions?? major cards payments are done instantly (maybe this speed is needed for impulse purchases Cheesy)

Comment below...thanks i'm a newbie here Roll Eyes

Few problems I would like to mention here :-

1. Government is not really comfortable in letting cryptocurrencies go that deep in the market .

2. People are worried about buying and selling their stuff with Bitcoins because of its volatility , the transaction fee , inability of Bitcoins to actually go good with small Valued goods.

3. Not many people are willing to buy and sell using Bitcoins , it is used as a investment rather than a currency.

4. We already have a lot of competitive market out there with places like Amazon giving people huge discounts on major products I do not think Bitcoin market will be able to complete with it .
2966  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the Oil be burned and how it will affect the climate on: April 29, 2020, 12:32:48 PM
If they're using controlled facilities then it'll do nothing...

As long as they have things like catalytic converters then it'll just be like normal oil that would've been used anyway...

As long as they don't have an open fire and it doesn't cast too many shadows, it might be a shock these days though given the recent lack of pollution.

Sounds reassuring!

But what about the tankers full of oil that are drifting in the Pacific? The worst scenario I can imagine is that they will dump it into the ocean because nobody will want to take the responsibility of storing it or burning in a facilities...

Firstly I do not think the government is doing right.
Killing so many animals , destroying the resources just because they don't want to give it for free to decrease their price .
This is ridiculously irrelevant , when they can actually do good and distribute it to those in need .
It would have an impact on the environment for sure because unlike the renewable sources of energy , it is not unlimited. They will destroy the natural resources plus pollution cannot be completed avoided , even if they use the secure burning facilities , they would actually use the filters to filter out the dangerous particles from it but it would inturn cost much more for the government to build a facility like this and at the same time keep changing the air filters in the chimneys .
So if they do it , they are stupid.

If only we lived in a perfect world... Honestly I think we're technologically ready for solar/alternative energies, but the economy will have to be reformed worldwide. That's not something that's in the best interests of the establishment, but hopefully we can get there some day.

Problem is , the leaders that people choose are all old and knowledgeable , I agree but they lack the perspective of a young person , in many countries there are age groups , only after which one can rule the government.

The person should be educated , young , positive and not dumb like leaders like Trump , plus we should have the power to help others in need like the North Korea , the government should have been dissolved long ago . People are treated like animals there , there are no rights , humanity is itself a crime there .

Only if the borders were erased and whole world was one country , not different nations competing for resources. Hoping is not the only thing we can do , we can get our ideas and thoughts out there , we can try and reform our society . Maybe we won't make it , but at least we would have tried.

System needs some serious reforms soon .

2968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just hit $8000 today and dropped right back on: April 29, 2020, 11:10:25 AM
We are in a time of crisis and trust me many small investors are looking for an opportunity where they can encash and don't loose money at the same time .

This is a dire situation thus everyone do needs money with the jobs being closed and bills piling up , therefore this situation was how it actually works and the slight spike might mean the halving is going to be a positive event for Bitcoins .
2969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of cryptocurrency on: April 29, 2020, 10:33:52 AM
You mean three questions   Grin

1. Crypto is an excellent source of investment + you can actually sell your services online across the world , plus the signature Campaigns are a good source to earn some extra money .
2. Hard to remember but been around 6 years already.
3. I was introduced to cryptocurrencies by my friend who actually was following it since forever .

2970  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: He Lost His Investment. See what Happened! on: April 29, 2020, 07:40:00 AM
If you are already in Bitcoins and are a trader then you should know well enough to not trust anyone .
The thing is in Bitcoins you don't need any central authority to control and monitor you , therefore you don't have to go to someone else , you can very easily do everything by yourself.
Just understand that people who promise things like that are 100% of the times scammers .
This is another benefit of Bitcoins * you don't have to be dependent on someone else * so , just use this , stay away from fake promises.
2971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 29, 2020, 05:57:38 AM
With the current situation, one cannot be sure of anything , the price of Bitcoins is a little volatile , halving over the past years has been a positive event but we have never yet seen Halving at the time of a pandemic.

I do think Halving won't affect the Bitcoins much , it would just be a normal event . One cannot expect Bitcoins to shoot up when the investors themselves are in a dire situation .

Even if halving will increase the price people will encash as soon as possible .
2972  Economy / Economics / The positive impact ~ on: April 28, 2020, 08:35:42 PM
The economic crisis is severe . Undeniably we have reached a rock bottom , where one needs to change everything , how the world works , how we understand economics , how the volatility would be controlled with respect to the Fiat .
I have had taken part in the discussion of a lot of negative but true situation , I would like to ask you guys to mention some positive points on the economic situation and other sectors despite the Corona virus .
Let me mention some positive things that I think could lift some burden up .

1. Due to Quarantine people are spending more time with families plus all the businesses and schools are working online , after the quarantine one can easily hope for an increase in online job opportunities , which is a big deal for some students and other sectors .

2. Home owned businesses + Local business are flourishing, due to Quarantine import and export is definitely not working as efficiently , therefore each country is working towards making their own markets more valuable. Which inturn for the long run means a lot since most of the people are involved in home owned businesses which was ignored previously.

3. People are moving towards Sustainability , countries in the future will be able to take care of the needs of their people , focusing the priority on their areas which inturn boosts the living conditions of the local community.

4. With the Quarantine and complete lockdown , environment is recovering, some of the most severe ozone holes are closed , pollution is getting controlled , feels like it is something that nature did to make sure the earth recovers from the wildfires all around . This means one would be able to efficiently renew the economic situation as a whole.

5. Total renewal of the government and the economic situation is in order , since this system has proved to be inefficient in handling situations like these.

6. Cryptocurrencies are getting more popular since using them have enabled people to sell their services across the globe . without additional documentation and problems.
2973  Economy / Economics / Re: We will never return to capitalism as we know it on: April 28, 2020, 06:10:17 AM
Not just capitalism , but the government did prove that they are inefficient in handling situations like this , they cannot even contain their own citizens , they need to reform the whole government, otherwise the next pandemic will be the end of everyone.
One needs to understand that , society should not be ruled , it should be supported . The leaders are servants , not the King , that is how it should have gone. But instead the corruption have paved the way inside and now it is struggling to be kept together.
Situation is very serious and proper reforms needs to be made in particular sectors .
2974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: April 27, 2020, 07:34:54 PM
Unfortunately I do not think there is any ideal currency , it depends upon the user , actually there are many things one needs to consider .
If the other party is willing to accept it , if they have to exchange it and go through procedures , if they are able to work with technology are just very few examples.
One cannot always use the same currency everywhere , volatility and other factors will always be there and especially in pandemic when people are facing tremendous losses , even the stable currencies are dwindling.
I do think it would be a very important currency in the future , but the ideal currency no.
I do not think there will be any ideal currency , all are important someway or the other .

2976  Economy / Economics / Re: How can the corona virus end Faster and economy reopen on: April 27, 2020, 07:50:53 AM
Unfortunately people can't be pinpointed , the downside is even though Corona Virus is in the world since 2019 , It is not going anywhere till 2021-22 .
Vaccination will need time to work.
Most of the drugs are not working , even the drugs that people are so hopeful about is only working in a narrow spectrum of the affected population.
One needs to understand that , due to its high infectivity we cannot pinpoint the people who are spreading the Virus , therefore one can only hope for a Heard immunity , which would reopen most things in some countries .

We talk about the population graph , in which the countries with a high number of population regarding the young generation that is the bell shaped graph , the countries like India and China , where the population is ever increasing , there the heard immunity can work.

The demographics will play a very big role in this matter and only some countries will be able to go through that . Unfortunately one infection cannot stop from you getting infection for the second time , therefore hoping for a vaccine and good drugs is all we can do .

A virus particle cannot be contained , unfortunately in Italy even on air particular matter one was able to isolate the virus , the severity is very high , one need to tackle it all the way and we will need a lot more time than some months.

Also because it is a virus , most of the drugs won't work , the drugs you take for common cold are more likely just a myth , because no matter what you are going to be okay in a week doesn't matter you take the medications or not . Making a medicine for tackling the virus is really hard. They are not living like us , therefore this situation is lot more adverse and serious than one can expect.
2977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day when Big Bang theory gave Bitcoins a free commercial on: April 26, 2020, 01:24:15 PM
Therer were simposons episode about crypto too. I dont think that this really mean something
It is not like it should mean something , thing is , every series have an audience , therefore they are able to capture mind of a lot of people , which in-turns helps them to have an understanding of cryptocurrencies on the back of their head , doesn't matter if they go around buying some or not , it is just making the cryptocurrencies popular indirectly.
2978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Day when Big Bang theory gave Bitcoins a free commercial on: April 26, 2020, 10:58:13 AM
In the episode 9 , season - 11 , The big bang theory tried to tell their viewers a little bit about Bitcoins.
In the episode the people mined some Bitcoins and unfortunately are trying to find where they did mine it.

I do think it was healthy for the Bitcoins community at that time , they did use some words that weren't that good for the community but at the end they did end it on a good note .

Using Bitcoins in day to day daily soap operas could help expand it's users .

I took it in a positive note, how about you guys , was that good or unnecessary?
2979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen when the last Bitcoin gets mined? on: April 26, 2020, 09:16:16 AM
Miners would be paid by the transaction charges that we are paying to the companies And wallets to complete our transactions.
At the same time I do think , since they won't have to mine Bitcoins anymore , the machine will use much less electricity since the load is reduced to a great extent, so the payment should be enough to cover up for the payment regarding the bills and extra charges and maybe in the future we will have much more changes , which will inturn create a favourable environment for the miners .

Most of this negativity revolves around gambling addiction, but the truth is that less than 2% of gamblers are considered the compulsive variety.

This means that the other 98%+ actually receive a variety of benefits from their hobby.
Research shows that some of the biggest benefits include improving your happiness and overall health. Other perks involve learning skills, improving math skills, socialization, and practicing money management.

The fact is Gambling is not unhealthy for most people , addiction is real but at the same time management of that addiction is real too , therefore one can easily take care of it .
Considering only 2% people have health issues one could say , it is actually not the fault of the Gambling but how people misuse their habits .
Addiction is real , but then again we never talk about the addiction with respect to the mobile phones 😂, they are the causative agents of sleep deprivation in most cases .
