2961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sudden Ethereum PUMP!! What is the reason? on: July 25, 2020, 11:25:14 PM
And the pumped continues.... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/markets/

ETH now reached over $300, I guess we will see a FOMO soon?
Yeah, this is the time altcoins investors are waiting, after years of struggle, it looks like ETH is about to rise and recover its old price big time.
I can already imagine how the other altcoins and ETH tokens would react on this consistent price increase of ETH.
2962  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How my bitcoins were nailed down in my grandfather's garage. on: July 25, 2020, 12:28:24 PM
You loss more or less $300,000 at the current BTC rate now.
What the... that's a huge amount dude, but you know, things happened, you just have to accept it and move on.

Hopefully you are still into crypto now, it's never too late to get in here again, and hopefully you'll be able to make that much again.

What you shared here is just another number of bitcoins lost in circulation, so the supply keeps decreasing as incidents like this occur.
2963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: July 25, 2020, 10:58:48 AM
I am not participating bounty campaign at that period, until now of course.
I interested to know if people are still making money from bounty despite the fact that IEO and ICO has definitely selling in the crowdsale.
The golden times of bounty was really in 2016-2017, I think if we will ever witness that time again, it will be when bitcoin is bullish and make a new ATH.

I'm hoping that there are still people who make money and it will be helpful if they will share on how they do it.
2964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Tether (USDT) flips Ethereum (ETH)? on: July 25, 2020, 10:32:53 AM
I think it will not happen anytime soon,  Ethereum still hold a good advantage over Tether on its Market Cap.
When BTC is stable like this, we might see some surge of demand for Tether, but I don't want to expect it will replace ETH in the 2nd spot just because it has recently replace XRP on it's spot.

I know XRP back then replace ETH on the 2nd spot, so it's also possible, but that was the time when ETH was oversold, and what I am seeing now is that ETH is slowly getting it's real market, stable and quite bullish now.

2966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: July 21, 2020, 11:05:50 PM
Do you have an analysis on this first game, Lakers are the favorites now, so, is it good to take the Clippers here or Lakers?

Some of the L.A Clippers' key players might not make it on the resume of the tip-off (L. Williams, M. Harrel, I. Zubac etc.). Although we know K. Leonard and P. George can still carry the Clippers, at least, playing against the healthy Lakers should need a healthy lineup too. M. Harrel is notably doing good before the NBA canceled the season. He was even chosen by the ESPN panel as NBA's Sixth Man of the Year because of his big contribution to where the Clippers is now.

As for my own, I'd rather skip betting on Moneyline between these two teams. Although there are scrimmages before the official game, I see that they are still in the phase of being used to play in the environment inside the bubble.

I preferred Over 218 pts between the odds of @1.7- @1.9.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I think I would not bet on the over 218, I have a little doubt on the line, I think oddsmaker knows that players are playing in unfamiliar court so they might have a struggle scoring, and both teams are good defensively as well, so they might play hard to maintain the spirit going to the playoffs.

For the Lakers vs Clippers, I am not skipping this game I guess, I would still bet as I like to watch the first game when the NBA officially resume, and we are talking of Lebron vs Leonard here, so it should be an entertaining game to watch.

I will finalized it a day before the game.

2968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin for Contract Killing" on: July 21, 2020, 01:31:20 PM
There are sites on the darknet that exist to hire contract killers for bitcoin, including joke sites listing just about every famous person along with a bounty, I didn't browse any of them, I got this information from a clearnet blog. Also realistically it depends on the target, someone wouldn't get payed $500K to target an ordinary person.

*There are sites on the darknet that exist to hire contract killers for bitcoin scam would-be clients

FTFY Wink

Most (if not all) of those sites are fake, you'll find plenty of articles on the subject matter. IIRC there's only one murder that's actually linked to a hitman that was hired via a hidden service and that one was an amateur that got caught pretty quickly.

Think about it, it's a pretty perfect scam.

You offer murder for hire, but since you're nice you only want 50% up-front. So you take 50% up-front and then... that's it. No one dies, your victim likely is kind of a dick anyway and they sure as hell won't go to the police ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I saw that kind of advertisement before when I visited the dark web, that was a long time ago, maybe 3 years already IIRC. I was just curios that time but it was really a scary web,  after that I didn't visit again. Well, with that set up, that's really a scam, unless you can find an escrow to hold the money and just release it when the job is done, but it's still hard to verify the reputation of the escrow as the transaction itself in the first place is illegal, hence you can't complain  if anything does not go with the expectation.

2970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the features you want most in a sportsbook? on: July 21, 2020, 12:27:57 PM
Instant withdrawals wins the vote, I guess a lot of us really wants that kind of feature in sportsbook.
This is the one that most sports bettors love, it's very costly in fiat casinos but it's very affordable in crypto casinos especially if you are using coins or tokens with very low transaction fee, and also there are some sites that shoulders the withdrawal fee, so that's another plus factor.

The odds is not a problem as they can get the best odds provider in the market, in terms of length of operation, it's important but I don't fully trust my money in crypto casinos, that's the reason why I don't keep it there, instead I have a frequent transaction to withdraw and deposit funds, so instant withdrawal is very helpful.

Odds are almost the same, sportsbook will ensure they'll avail the service from the best betting odds provider, thus, it will eliminate the opportunity of the arbitrage bettors to make money.

2972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 21, 2020, 11:14:00 AM
I honestly think that IEO won’t go anywhere soon or in the long run. The only difference between ICO and IEO, is that this crowdfunding method is through the exchange’s launchpad. The exchange will help you with massive marketing, it’s just that they have high IEO fees + 20% of the total sales during the IEO period.
The project teams that are trying to run a crowdsale are now force to go in IEO as they can never raise the funds from ICO, the reputation of the ICO is very bad now, people don't trust them anymore.

What they do is, they do it in a stages, private sale from private investors, ICO, then if they already raised a good amount, they will go with the IEO.

It’s still a good business model though, but overpriced IEO launchpad fees plus their commissions is kind of a different story. There are affordable but quality IEO launchpads you can find such as Tokpie (I’m not associated with them). For me, IEO isn’t gonna phase out anytime soon.
There is no such thing as overpriced in the market as long as you buy on its intro price, remember, we are investing because we believe the project will succeed and would result to a price increase multiple times.
2973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 21, 2020, 09:00:46 AM
First you need to ensure you have the skills and you are already consistent in making so you'll be able to consider it as a job and you'll be able to make it a consistent source of your income.

Actually, I also dreamed to make a living in trading, I know it's quite stressful but here, you can surely achieved the financial freedom you are aiming for. In the first place, the reason we work is to make money, save, invest and retire early, but relying our dreams to our job alone, this is not possible for most of us, therefore we have to take risk and trading is one of the ways to make that dream possible.

You can start anytime with your journey, start small so the risk can be tolerable and adjust accordingly over time.
2974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 21, 2020, 08:19:54 AM
I don't think ieo's will become history soon at least the ones on good exchanges like binance, kucoin etc.
IEO is the better way of crowdfunding, it will only become a history if there's some platform that will come that which is better than the IEO.
We know that ICO will soon be a history only, not just because IEO is safer but because it's abused, the scam rate is very high which is not attractive for new investors, glad we have new option now.

If you talk about scam exchanges or fake volume ones, they are already history.
I think they are still here, that's why the market is still risky, but of course we can always educate ourselves, as that is the only tool we can use to avoid them.

2976  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 71.2%, alts lagging behind on: July 21, 2020, 07:04:35 AM
It's been a while, but I am happy to see that bitcoin dominance has decrease, this means that altcoins are growing a bit and it still has a chance to grow. Hopefully the trend will continue, dropping bitcoin dominant rate will be good for the crypto market in general.

Altcoins has a way to go from here and surely it will continue to rise and only thing is that we require some very good altcoins which has a good future too and does not just come for short time , scam the people or turn out to be a dump coin. The market is very huge in this space and crypto will continue to boom.

It's expected because we already call it a crypto market now, meaning, not only for bitcoin but for altcoins as well, in fact, I do believe that bitcoin will not rise this high without the support of the altcoins market as they are also inviting people to invest through their ICO/IEO platform, but unfortunately, the rate of scam is very high for altcoins so they don't have a consistently growth based on their performance.

Hopefully this year will be a year for altcoins, if bitcoin will at least drop its dominance to 50%, I think a lot of good things will happen with altcoins on that as a result.
2977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Says Twitter Blocking His Tweets About BCH on: July 20, 2020, 11:39:34 PM
Twitter is not compromise this time, I think it's fully fixed now.   Tongue

I like the post, twitter blocking BCH means they are helping people to choose the right investment, and that is only Bitcoin, no more forks for this market.

I'm expecting CSW to complain next.
2978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's always about your choice on: July 20, 2020, 11:21:07 PM
What makes a bounty manager better? It's not about the success of the projects they introduce, it's about

1. How the handle the campaign
2. It's about fulfilling what was promised to bounty hunters
3. It's about fighting the fair fights for bounty hunters

Agree with all of these, as long as the bounty manager is professional, then things would work professionally regardless of the result of the project being promoted.

The success of a bounty project is not in the hand of a bounty manager, the ball is in your courts, you are responsible for the bounty projects you choose, if they fail it's never bounty managers fault. Always remember this.

There are a lot of things to consider, first we need to consider the bounty manager as they are the bridge to us to the team, without them, there will be no bounty, so choosing a reputable one would really help. Some bounty hunters are just lazy, they just look who will manage and they just joined blindly or maybe they have already a full trust to the bounty manager as the reputation says a lot already about the work, but then, it still does not guarantee a success, so we need to accept if the project will fail and we would not get anything for our effort.

in 2017 - 2018 I have a token which is very profitable for me and profitable up to $ 5,000, but indeed in recent years the token is quite disappointing, but I still hope the potential will benefit from tokens and coins.

I hope you are alright man, you are not alone, a lot of us have that kind of experience, I even have more that until now I'm still holding it but looking at its value, it's very disappointing. Just consider it as part of the journey, sometimes we make mistakes but what's important is we keep learning to improve and correct it, this coming bull run (hopefully will come soon) , we should be smarter and must do the right decision and that is not to be greedy.
