The Dev should consider using some sort of proof of individuality ( like confirming a telephone number ...etc) to distribute some of the coins it will be more efficient method and it will reach out to a lot more people than the cash back program.

Why?

It would be way more beneficial to everyone if airdrops finished for good. That money would be better spent on dev, mkt and other productive stuff, plus people waiting for future airdrops means LESS people actually BUYING.

It is way better if price does x10 due to that actions than if we all double our stash via airdrop but the price stalls (or even dumps right afterwards).

Not knowing how the remaining coins are going to be distributed cause a lot of uncertainty. Investors hate uncertainty.

The entire distribution model was a disaster of cataclysmic proportions and still is.

Rip that band aid off now and just BURN the rest of the coins.

Burn them into the abyss keeping a very small proportion to fund developments and watch the price increase nicely.

Even better fork it and null the known other ico bb wallets and burn those too.

They had a cheek claiming them anyway.

Nobody will even talk about it after a couple of weeks and any icos complaining will look like complaining scabs anyway.

Just do it, i mean we went back on the full moon distributions and pissed off real investors I couldnt care less about upsetting other greedy ICO managers.

That's what i'd suggest from here on.

Why do you think so? Do you have any facts?

check out ripples initial distribution vs the non scam projects on here.

2966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selecting Alt coins with Only £500 in investment Capital.. on: December 19, 2017, 11:55:29 PM
You sound a cool guy.

Look for any projects under value.

Long term real projects working quietly away and real results being produced.

I won't give specific projects but there are quite a few.

I have managed to pick a few x100 before so it is possible. Of course I never held the full amounts i bought to the x100 level if i had i would be worth millions and millions.

Still its nice to pick good ones and watch them rise.

2967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / MOST IMPORTANT POST FOR NEW INVESTORS - reply and keep on page 1. on: December 19, 2017, 11:34:12 PM
1. the price per coin is irrelevant ....

for you to make bank on your investment the entire project price has to rise do you understand this??? (or appear to rise according to its cap)

You want cheap units to invest in - look at the total Market cap value.

No point saying i want coins under 1 dollar if there are billions of coins in that project???

Look it is simple view these projects as cakes - you want to invest in cakes that can go up in value right???

Now if you are offered crumbs which there are a billion crumbs for a $1 - then you are investing in a billion dollar cake. For your investment to double then this cake has to be resold for 2 billion dollars.

Now if you are offered a big slice for $ 100 dollars but there are only a million of those slices you are buying into a 100 million dollar cake. So for your investment to double you only have to hope the cake sells for 200 million. This cakes is 10x cheaper you see.

WAIT though people are telling me - I cant afford 100 bucks ..........well just buy a smaller slice of that 100 million dollar cake. You dont have to buy an entire coin or token.

THE SMALLER THE MARKET CAP OR TOTAL CAKE PRICE THE EASIER IT IS FOR YOU TO SEE THAT CAKE MAKE A PROFIT.(all things being equal)

THE PRICE OF CRUMBS DOES NOT MATTER..

NOW HAVING SAID ALL OF THAT - THAT IS JUST THE PRICE FACTOR. THAT IS ONE TINY FACTOR TO CONSIDER WHEN INVESTING.

If you can and read this thinking that cheaper coins were likely to give you better chance of returns just because the per coin price was cheap and you did not know to look at the total cake to see if you were buying into a cheap project please comment.

Or if you have anything to say - post it because I see 100s of comments on here per week with new people believing firmly that cheap coins per unit are good value.... often they are not.

If you dont have a lot of money then still look at low cap projects and find the low cap projects with the good dev teams that are below fair value.

For you that say everyone knows this obviously I will post threads demonstrating that this is not the case...

This is just one i spotted again just now and made me make this post...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2600365.0

DO not buy expensive crumbs thinking your getting a good deal on your cake and that you have good chance of return because of that only.

Sure if the crumbs are cheap (like the market cap is very low for that project) then get your crumbs there.

I often get many PM's asking me why I have said invest in project A when project B is similar but is cheaper?? when I check to see what they could possibly mean i see they are taking about the individual coin price and not the total project value (market cap). This is a very very common mistake noob traders are making on this board.

Help other noobs buy commenting on this thread.

2 Just because a coin has a high market cap does not mean it is a good project to invest in - many are collusion scams. In the top 20 there are many fake inflated caps.

Look it is like this ALWAYS STUDY THE INITIAL DISTRIBUTION OF THE TOKENS/COINS

Think of it like this.

The wider the distribution like say you saw the coin was distributed to 10000;s of people at the start. The harder to make every one agree to hold them and force a crazy high price. Thus natural market forces are in play and the project finds its REAL value not a fake inflated value. Most of the alts with huge market caps even the top 10 are inflated fake caps because a hand ful of people simply hold all the coins and collude not to sell cheaply. These projects often offer nothing great at all. There are some exceptions of course - do your own research.

The narrow distribution like insta icos and instamined coins - so like oh look this ico was over in 2hours scams - these probably had big insiders buy them all so say 10 people own the vast majority. They then agree we will not sell them for less than 100x the pretend price we bought them for. I mean the project is probably just a white paper that will NEVER happen but they hold the price up 100x ico and it looks like it is in the top 20 in coin market cap. Then people actually start buying this crap from them.

Try to understand that high market cap coins can be very big schemes to take your BTC even the largest ones in the top 10.

ALWAY ANALYSE THE INITIAL DISTRIBUTION TO TELL IF YOU ARE BUYING INTO A SCHEME THAT CAN COLLAPSE AT ANY MOMENT WHEN THE INSIDERS AND WHALES DECIDE THEY WANT OUT.

thx for your good working,i learned a lot from here.but i wonder why people didnt choose the real projects before, instead ,the price of the real projects down and down.just because people didnt realize the value of these good projects like byteball ,bitbay ,etc.or there are some dumpers who want more and more cheap coins so they dump the good coin again and again?

Well there are good reasons for this.

1. sometimes the real projects just get along working working working coding designing and they don't put too much effort into marketing and creating awareness.

2. these devs are real coders and designers and this is where they are strong. Sadly some are idealists and will not go against their idealist ideas even if it means slow growth in terms of price because they are not willing to pump on fads and things they know are not long term beneficial. They are looking long term and are willing to suffer low caps whilst they get to their long term goal. They are only low because people are not aware of them or do not understand how much ahead they are of other dreams and talk fantasy projects that will probably never happen.

3. a LOT of the top coins have TERRIBLE initial distribution so you have a handful of people holding most of the entire minting. If you have collusion which is easy then it is easy to create and artificial high price. I mean a  LOT of the top coins are there by this method. Most new people and even old times either dont realise this or dont care. It is far far harder to create an artificial high cap if you have a wide distribution as collusion and market making is much harder.

4 People who do know about these often like to keep quiet and accumulate more.

WAVES is the best, next is BITSHARE, ARK, KMD, BLOCKSHIT

As a DEX blocknet is far superior to anything that is not a full atomic swap.

Sorry waves as a dex does not compete at all with blocknet. Blocknet is far superior.

As a platform waves is very good. but for a DEX blocknet and KMD are far better.

Check verge roadmap to 1.2018
Better than monero

Please suggest all coins using the format in the OP so we can analyse and digest before adding to the poll.

Verge can likely be added for sure though...

if in my opinion I think there are some other projects with real projects out there but I do not know how to explain it to people that it's the best.
But at least my favorite is in polls. It was the waves. if I think what I think bitshare is also very real as well and very good for the future. so hopefully useful and useful for all of you

thanks for the votes and posts

Founded in 2014, and they already have 12 million customers and 3 billion revenue a year. The founder is very impressive. Founded and sold lightinthebox for example. This thing is a gonna go top 10 for sure instead of all that vaporware sitting there now.

light in the box

flash in the pan

why price exploded like crazy?! I sold for 470 sat couple of days ago....  Cry

the real question is why was it so low a couple of days ago ....

why it is at number 65 now is a question but why is it so low I ask myself when I look at some of the junk above it.
fair price is easily in the top 50 if not the top 20 actually fuck it look at this crap in the top 10 ... if it was there it would look good value next to some of the others.

selling bay at 470 sat was always going to be risky

Anyone think we need a new logo?

I'll give 50 CBX to the best logo anyone can come up with, whether the dev team uses it or not.

Current logo looks either like the end of a penis, or the view from a voyeur toilet spy cam. Never liked it.

So... 50CBX for a bit of logo fun?

Kind of guess we do. Especially as we are no longer cgb but cbx

Although kinda liked the colours and metal effect like bullion.

At the rate its climbing wont be long before it challenges litecoin for number 5 spot on market cap. Its making a truly remarkable climb.

false inflated cap probably like most of these zero to hero out of nowhere projects.
