2981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 15, 2021, 12:14:24 AM
Is it just me or is anyone else more excited or more interested in the Olympic basketball games than they are the championships going on right now?  This championship series, while I have been paying attention, is about as boring as I've ever seen.

I got the picture if that's how you see the current NBA Finals or maybe your bet team was unfortunately eliminated.

However, I don't feel the same. Every NBA championship is a good watch to me even right at the start of the Playoffs. It's even better today as we don't see the usual teams and faces in the Finals. Already made a good profit too out from betting.

The saying that if only Nets are healthy is another story of "what if" scenarios just like the Phoenix Suns rally this playoff against Lakers in 1st Round, Nuggets in 2nd round, and Clippers in Conference Finals.

And not just with the teams playing in the Finals right now, our respective gambling bets are adding some excitement to the game.

I agree, Olympics can wait, for me it's more exciting to have the NBA finals. Although others might argue  that is one sort of not to be expected finals as Brooklyn and Lakers are the heavy favorites early, but still this is a good series.

Specially for those NBA bettors, like me (I already locked in my bets on the other thread), so it's exciting to see the full game and see how your bets are (winning or losing).
2982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 14, 2021, 11:37:23 PM
I've added a poll already, so fire on:

Other betting options are now available on sportsbet, like Winner & exact rounds and Winner & round range.

I'm predicting the fight will not go to distance, 10 rounds or less, Charlo by KO/TKO.

Ah, that's the reason why there's only one vote and I voted for Charlo because you just posted the poll.
I placed a small bet on Charlo, so let's see. Hope he will not fail us.  Tongue
The advantages are on his side, so hopefully he will use those inside the ring.
The difference may be is how both boxers prepared for this fight.

Or how they are going to execute their game plan. Of course, this two have prepared very hard so I would say they are even in that category. But the execution could be the critical part. Will either one of them stick to the game plan when they feel each other power? Or will they have plan B if plan A didn't work? But since Charlo is the favorite in this fight, so you made a good bet on him. And hopefully Castano will not derail Charlo's plan to clean up this division for good. Or fight better fighters next for a good pay check.
2983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 14, 2021, 11:04:22 PM
^^ I bet on the under 222.5 @1.91 super boosted odds at sportsbet.

Yes, this game could be more of a defensive one, wouldn't be surprised if one team didn't reached the 100 point mark, or even both of them. Suns and Bucks are high offensive team, but this is the finals and defense is the key to winning. So hopefully, I can hit the under bet and best of luck.
2984  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC broke through 33,500 USDT on: July 14, 2021, 03:57:24 AM
Huobi market shows that BTC broke through 33500 USDT and is now quoted at 33500.39 USDT, up 2.73% in 24H.
BTC + 2.47%

We don't know what's next that going to move right now, let's just be calm on this state of btc. It might not perform well in the next few days, because it seems that unpredictable fluctuations has heading for a strong support to break the bears. Bullrun needs adequate momentum before we push through our asset, in order to decide and take our sustainable profit gains.
Calming down is what we need to do now and always analyze the market if we want to trade or just hold. Bitcoin price drops again after touch $34k and now the price is back to $33k. Although it is a good time to buy more bitcoin at a price now, hopefully, people are not panic because that can impact the price to go down for more.

The drops in bitcoin price do not impact altcoin too much because some top altcoin lists still at the current price and not moving down significantly. But if bitcoin still goes down, that can impact the altcoin price to go down for more.

Price below 40K is not a major milestone break. It will just consolidate at that level until big volume enter to push the price above 40k once again. Due to recent fud of China, Bitcoin needs a big good news equal or greater than that to overcome the fear index that we are experiencing right now. The market is full of uncertainty and doubt which result to indecision on trend direction.

Price is on another correction, as OP pointed out, yes we broke $33,500 could be major milestones for others, but now the price is declining to $31k and we really don't know what's the real cause of another dump.

Others said that it has something to do wih the 41,000 BTC unlocking in the next couple of days. But I do believed otherwise. Or maybe it will have a effect but I'm not expecting a drastic or massive downfall again to $28k.
2985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 14, 2021, 03:08:46 AM
It's possible, they have the momentum, and it will be in their home court. And Giannis is playing like a true MVP so it will be a good NBA finals that we are seeing.
For me, the Suns are still favorites in this series, and I hope CP3 will be able to win the first title in his career. Nevertheless, I agree with you that Giannis looks like MVP. If he scores 40+ points again in the upcoming game, he most likely will be nominated as MVP of the NBA final regardless of the outcome of this series.

I think CP3 will probably take MVP honors if the Suns win but I don’t think DeAndre Ayton’s impact can be stressed enough. He needs to stay out of foul trouble and they should take the next one. If Giannis does manage to bring the Bucks a championship though, he’s the clear MVP. I’m glad this series has become competitive, but I would’ve liked to have seen the Suns in 4.

I can't find what is the outright for CP3 to win the MVP and so is Giannis, I'm thinking of betting on it.

But I do agree that CP3 will probably take the MVP honors if the Suns win, but Booker and Ayton are of a big help for the point guard.

On the other hand, if Giannis continue his bully-ball and scored 40 points or more again in a Bucks series, most likely he will win the MVP if it's Bucks who are going to be crown. Bucks winning will tie the series and make it a best of 3, but still the advantage will be on Suns side because of the home court.
2986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 13, 2021, 02:29:00 AM
Seems to me that the Suns lost because Ayton was in foul trouble after a monster first quarter worthy of the record books. Why would he then get into foul trouble you ask? Well, Chris Paul is now 0-12 in playoff games officiated by Scott Foster. It seemed fairly obvious this was about extending the series. More ad revenue and the chance for Phoenix to clinch on their home court. Hopefully we don’t see much more of Scott Foster this series. I hate when games are more about the refs than the players.

NBA is all about business, so I guess someone (referees), can really change the outcome of the game just like what we have seen in the last game. Lots of no calls on the side of Phoenix and it's really frustrating for them on how they are going to fight back in game 3. You can see how frustrating that even coach Monty who is soft spoken and haven't heard anything from him criticizing the calls is now calling how refs are 'biased'.
2987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 13, 2021, 01:02:41 AM
^^ Yeah, I think Charlo got this one, but Castano is no sleeper here. He could make this fight competitive for Charlo as he just blasted his previous opponents and knocking them out. Plus, ring rust might play here, Charlo hasn't been fighting for a while so he is obviously inactive and could be rusty in the early rounds. And Castano should take advantage of it, unless he is hit by big punch that he can't recovered. Better yet to wait for more betting options, for sure it will be made available by stake.com or sportsbet.io later.
2988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 11, 2021, 02:21:54 AM

I agree, even with the Hawks win, they have to limit their opponent to less than 100 to secure a victory. So it means that they have to play good defense and then fuel their offense with Giannis, Middleton and Holiday. So that's the blue print to beat the Suns, but it's easier said than done though, Suns is a high octane fast break team lead by CP3, if somewhat they can limit it or force the Suns to a horrendous shooting night, they might win game 3 in a blow out.

Yeah, it's easier said than done but we said the same thing when they were down against Nets. Nets had the big 3 for Bucks to contend with and they did. Suns know that they have a very good chance at winning the finals since they're 2-0 up and would want to make it harder by pushing for a 3-0 lead. Bucks needs not let this happen. They have to be at their best at the back and even when going forward, they need to ensure that they don't give Suns careless opportunities to score points. After the first two games, it would be interesting to see what coach bud has in store for Game 3 of the series for Bucks.

I'm hoping the return to Fiserv Forum would work wonders for Bucks since they would have all the support they need.

And no more pressure on Giannis when taking free throws, for sure the fans are not going into the "count down" mode when he is in the line. The big 3 though is not healthy, only Durant was 100%, but we give credit to the Bucks. Same with the Hawks, they were shock to lose game 1 but they can hard and fight it out and they have a blowout win against the Hawks and then Trae Young got injured.

Mike Budenholzer is an under rated coach in my opinion, we even see NBA news that his ass is on the line if they will lose in the playoffs. But look at where he brings the team, to the NBA finals. For sure he still has some aces to turn around this series or possible to win in 6 or 7.
2989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 10, 2021, 10:42:12 PM

Just like what others been suggesting that its better to focus out on his boxing career rather than on pushing into things which i dont see for him to see fit or even the majority is looking the same way too.

I agree with that although we can't really prevent sometimes from discussing politics since he is a popular icon.

Anyone put your bet now Pacquiao odds are slowly decreasing, last time I checked it was 2.70, now it's only 2.65.

I remember someone said that Pacquiao's odds are an underdog during the announcement of the fight but as the fight is getting closer and people are seeing his condition, that odds will slowly go down and who knows he might become the betting favorites as the game is approaching.

So take it now while the odds are still good.

Yeah, that's the advantage of taking an early bet on the underdog in boxing. If you bet early you can get a good odds instead of waiting as the fight gets closer.

sportsbet.io odds right now:

This might go down 2.00 or even 1.98 in my opinion as the fight approaches.
2990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 10, 2021, 10:12:21 PM
That's possible as we have seen a lot of NBA Finals where a team being down 0-2 were able to come back and win the championship, they just have to avoid the 0-3 because no one has ever come back from that deficit in the NBA history. Home court and playing on the road are different, on home court, they are well motivated as they have the support of the fans, so I would go for the Bucks in game 3, in fact, I had already posted my pick in the other thread.

I'm joining you to take the bet on Bucks for the game 3 of the series. While Sun has been the better team of the two in the first two games, I feel Bucks will do more than enough to get one back and possibly come to level terms by the time we get to game 4. But since we're focusing on game 3, I'll leave it there for now. Since the playoffs, Bucks has been working hard on comebacks. We might see them do it against sun just like they did to Nets from game 3 and Hawks from game 2. Fingers crossed for this one.

When the bucks were down 0-2 against the Nets, they had a great game in game 3 by focusing on the defense, allowing the suns to score 83 points only, and it's a success to see for a high scoring team unable to reach 100 points in a single game. They can do the same with the Suns, so maybe let's take a look and the over/under bet as well.

Actually it reaches as high as $34,xxx on some exchanges, but this is like 12 hours ago. But after that I have observed the price to slowly declining again. But let's see, it is above $33,500 now and hope it can break $34k barrier again.

At least this weekends, we might see some positive signs of the market movement going into positives. We don't want the price to go like ~$30k.
2992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey agree to talk about bitcoin at an event in July on: July 10, 2021, 12:10:38 PM
There's even speculation that the price of bitcoin will spike after the said bitcoin event between Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey. But personally, and I think majority here will agree that it won't have any significant effect on the price.

This event might be just for Elon Musk publicity again, as we all know that he loves to be in the spotlight specially when talking about bitcoin. Unless after the event, Elon will be pro-bitcoin again, it might push the price a bit further. But I'm not going to get excited.
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bankers staking ETH 2.0? on: July 09, 2021, 11:14:26 PM
It depends on how big the banks are in terms of their stakes. Obviously, if they have the majority then perhaps they can sway away the price and somewhat manipulate it. But Ethereum staking market is huge, there are no single entity that can control. Although there could be whales in the Ethereum ecosystem, but I just the majority of holders are just average joe like you and me who chooses to earn some at a certain APY percentage. I guess for now, we can say that we are safe from this banks, and besides Sygnum bank is not one major player in the field. Probably they just wanted to take advantage of the current hype and make more money.
2994  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take for CBDCs to become a reality? on: July 09, 2021, 10:49:55 PM
I wonder how long will it take for CBDCs to become a reality? Will it be decades or centuries from now? Do you think it's still too early for CBDCs to come into fruition? If not, why? What may be the cause for delaying the launch of the new digital Fiat system? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

It's closer than we think, for example Digital Yuan, the roadmap is around 2023-2025. And currently, they are already doing some testing on some Chinese problems to see how viable it is and look for loopholes and problems that might arises in the future. And I would say that the USD power is diminishing, and if it continue it's path in the next coming years, maybe CBCD released is hurried up because of this one. And I think China will lead the race again, they have this "Belt & Road portal Silk Road" program and now that they have banned bitcoin, the paths are clear for them to have their Digital Yuan.
2995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin spinoffs devalue Bitcoin over the long term? on: July 09, 2021, 10:17:37 PM
Do you think Bitcoin-based forks (spinoffs) will devalue the original Bitcoin (BTC) over the long term? If not, why? Don't we have too many forks already? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

As the saying goes "Imitation is a form of flattery". However, I don't think this is applicable to BTC though. It is the prime mover obviously, that's why it has a lot of spinoffs, however, it will doesn't have a negative effect, on the contrary it will make BTC stronger as it will get more consensus support from investors. We have seen the majority of the members here, doesn't like fork coins, maybe because of the people behind, or simply that they see it is a "threat", hence they stay with the original BTC.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 09, 2021, 03:35:15 PM

For sure, they will make adjustments with their techniques here. As they pretty know each other by now when it comes to the ring. They need to alter their strategies and we will see that if indeed this fight will soon happen. As both are relatively fresh with their previous fights, they can easily go back to their training routine. But in terms of odds, I am certain, bookies will favor Inoue here over Donaire.

That's expected, and we will see a major adjustment in that fight. Inoue will adjust not to get hurt by the counter of Donaire, while Donaire will try to end this fight early as that's his only chance to win, otherwise, he will lose his stamina to a younger champion. Inoue's jab is very effective, Donaire could not counter him easily because of that, Inoue should stick with that while continue to be aggressive.

Donaire's jab is also good in my opinion, the problem is that Inoue is so much faster than him, that's why he was beaten to it. And if he wanted to counter, he need to have a perfect timing, and usually that's what happen in the first fight. But as you have said, as the fight gets longer, Donaire's chances are getting thinner. He needs to get up and shoot for his left hook early so that Inoue will be on the defensive and can't get this jab easily.
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 09, 2021, 01:59:56 AM
What happened in the second quarter? I watch the full first quarter and then went out for a quick break, Bucks leading. But when I got back Phoenix on a 17 swing, now leading 48-41, with that CP3 jump shot.

I doubt that Bucks can come back. As many has seen, Phoenix Suns is really good at protecting their lead going into the second half. And Giannis seems to be running out of gas and breathing hard.

As You all Know That Elon Musk Has a Great Role in Current Btc Manipulation, and as tesla bot acept bitcoin btc more due to bitcoin energy issue.
Now A Big Meeting is going On 22 July 2021, Between Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey, So what can happen in this meeting? As Jack always try to do good for bitcoin sp he will Convence elon and
Tesla will again Accept Bitcoin? Btc will got o 20k$ or 70k$?
As I am Perosnally Thinking that we can't Ignore this meeting,
what you people can think? Share Your views

I don't think either.  If I had to pick it would be 20k, there just isn't enough steam or buy pressure to get a double out of bitcoin in a couple weeks.  It easily can slide though...hoping for a lot of sideways trading for awhile.

Agree, we will neither see $20k or $70k this month. We've already past the first week and so far there are no major direction either side. It will be just another sideways pattern which we have been seeing since May if I'm not mistaken.

Although we have seen an attempt to $40k, nah, it wasn't sustainable growth. Speculators continue to short BTC, that's why the price is going nowhere.
2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 08, 2021, 02:21:44 AM
I myself have underestimated them at the start of the post season. I though they were just lucky they get passed the Lakers in the first round because Davis struggle to play throughout that series. But they proved me wrong. Ayton, Booker, CP3, and the rest of the Suns seems like in a perfect sync this post season.
Even If they can't win the Finals this year, I believe they'll still be intact next season as they are a power house team in the West.
It will be harder for them to win the next championship because the Lakers and other strong teams have enough time to rest until next season. I mean, players won't be injured as often as they have been this season. Anyway, the Suns have all chance to win this final if they will be playing as well as in the first game.

Everyone seems to be talking about the Suns winning in the Finals, what if the Bucks will win in game 2? what would be the speculation then? I get it, the Suns had a great game 1 performance, but we still can't deny that the Bucks came from hard-fought before going to the NBA Finals, therefore, I believe they'll not easily give up the fight here and would bounce back soon.
Giannis in game 1 did not produce lots of points, since I think what happen he is still thinking about his legs, and we might see a different Giannis in game 2, and its more of adjustments, for every team, so I'm not counting out the bucks and declare the suns the champ, remember the bucks also down a game in the playoffs and they all beat those teams.

Maybe he was still rusty in game 1 and probably that injury is not yet 100% healed. If it's good already, the defense played a big role in containing him specially in the second half of the game. But just like the hallmark of any superstar (he is a MVP), he will adjust in game 2 as they have seen how and what defense they are throwing against him.

Still early to call the Suns the NBA champions, this is just game 1, a lot of things can happen. It's going to be a chess game from here on.
3000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 08, 2021, 01:20:45 AM
Running for presidency requires big money,  and we all know Pacquiao is capable of spending what is needed as he is a billionaire in the Philippines. With what he will make in this fight, the guaranteed purse is $5 million for him, so he will make more or less 250 million PHP, and PPV is not included yet.
I think Pacquiao will make more money through PPV than his guaranteed purse, and yes, that's a big help for him to finance his campaign being a presidential candidate. That's why this fight is really important to him, and he needs to win this so he can still get a good fight.

Easy money for him, but regardless of how much he will make, still unlikely he will win in politics.

The funny thing is, Manny is favored to win in any boxing fight but he is a big underdog in politics.

That says, you cannot be good in everything.

There's no such thing as easy money when you risk your health and worse is your life in the ring, we just say it easy because Manny is a great fighter, but we can never be sure if they'll always be safe in the ring.

Been watching some of his recent YT videos posted by his fans regarding his training to this upcoming fight.
And I can say, he still has this power and stamina to endure all those backbreaking exercises.
It seems he can still go the distance inside the ring, considering his age. I think I will bet on him on this one.
He should focus himself on this training and not on politics. Politics can wait though.

But it was obvious that Manny Pacquiao has political ambitions, not saying that it is bad, but it's going to take a lot of time, it is no joke and its dirty. He should just focus on his boxing career, as he can still make a lot of money.

Yeah, watch some YT videos, that massive calves though, LOL, it will not be an easy fight for him, he needs to train very hard. The power is there, but it he don't execute well and can't hit Spence then his chances to win are slim. No odds yet, but of course he will be the fan favourite and could get a lot of bets from this community (including me).
