Seems like Faze or Navi for the CSGO major win.   Probably Navi should take it but todays games I just went with favorites and luckily someone corrected me on thinking Furia could take Spirit  at all was a 2-0.      I did put on a small multi hedge for the underdogs but dont guess on it, I think 3 maps is probably best like this current Flame vs ENCE  neither team is doing badly with an equal and opposite threat by either side.
2982  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: May 20, 2022, 04:03:26 AM
Sideways is indecisive but its not unnoticed when we do slip along doing nothing because the absence of negative can be taken as a positive possibly.   Have to see how we maintain momentum upwards if there is such a thing, often I find BTC carries out many tests and fakes before it really moves.

So this doesnt matter much and it does because it can lead to things.  This is only 2 and 7 day averages but its coincidentally marked the top prices in narration of this recent downturn.  Thats why I watch it because its often a good boundary to watch and I only take price as being positive especially beyond fast trades when its above the yellow line here or weekly MA.  Close 30k on the daily and it starts to get attention & has to snowball really, at present its just noise.
2983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trying to identify the bottom.. on: May 19, 2022, 03:38:39 AM
200 week I pay attention to but we can cross over, the 50 monthly might be a even better indication but a month is a long time to check its close.  Overall I agree it wont be an easy event, we'll be negative but just about able to climb back out and have to wait a while.  Other kind of bottom is a V fast down and fast up but seems like thats not going to be the case.

We're in the area of last years low, about 29247 which was June and July before it turned around so basically over a month to really stop scaring people out of the price action or 3 months if we say May as well.  So expect similar now, a longer fight to alter momentum downwards.

I think OBV shows we are acting negatively still, not sure anyone likes that indicator but I find easier to read and simplicity is all Im looking for because I think it relates to consensus.
2984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: May 19, 2022, 03:24:52 AM
Really depends on your age, when you young and poor its reasonable to take higher risks.  This is standard investment protocol, doesnt mean you have to take just 1 sector but if you are still able to earn and increase your earnings via your career then its not completely unknown to  take excessive risks.      The other risk is you lose your health and cannot earn later so thats another type of risk to cover also.

The RP bonus is definitely worth checking in for, far easier to accumulate if you collect right now.

Autobet is fine if you have some kind of strategy perhaps, I'm not that kind of genius.   Seems more like Jesus take the wheel to me, I simply lack the blind faith to believe I'll come back with a win so easily :p

So far I have collected 4 Golden tickets from wagering in just two weeks
not bad going when your not an oil prince.    The more 'little' gamblers we got getting golden tickets the more likely at least one of them or similar gain the keys to the Lambo one day, giant luck required but en masse possible still.

I locked a few more tokens up for 180 days and 360 day, I will probably scale in and do them all in the end as I see no reason not to.    BTC while dismal is not dissimilar to prior lows, we near prior history where BTC was peaking to near 20k and then fell back down into the bedrock of 3k levels that was pretty dam negative.  I guess on scale, that'd be like going to 9k now so way extreme.     I'm looking at the May price bet and we're lacking the volatility I want,  I added a couple bets but mostly Im not expecting us to break expectations especially.
2986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: May 17, 2022, 07:13:42 PM
Its a weak recovery at present, likely to need a repeat and confirmation of any support process in play.   I think we have not had enough volume with any buying to justify alot of optimism.

This shows to me we are at best likely to go sideways.   It can recover later but thats yet to show, just holding here would be something to build on but really needs to get back above 35k or presume selling continues to be bias.
2987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 16, 2022, 06:25:20 PM
PGL Antwerp major is going in the last phase soon, not many games left before the quarter finals on Thursday and Friday. Didn't have much time to watch the games this weekend and was really surprised to see Heroic beat G2 in overtime. For todays games I will only go for two obvious wins, G2 vs Outsiders - should be a good game for G2; and Cloud9 vs Imperial Esports - should be an easy win for Cloud9. ENCE vs Heroic looks like a very close match that could go either way, same for NiP vs Furia, not worth the risk in my opinion. Better to for easier matches and get some more money for the semi and final games on the weekend.

I was watching those set of games today and combined ENCE G2 and cloud9 as a win only about 3x together but worth having; also sidebet 3 maps for the ENCE game as it could be close.   Maybe I should cash out right now, I'll go look [yep I think so as ENCE greatly lead on Nuke which can be a biased map & I cant watch the entire game right now]
2988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler turns 60 pence bet into £157,865.59 on: May 16, 2022, 04:45:27 PM
Some countries will be more vulnerable for that reason, the income inequality and insecurity most have means temptation surely occurs.  In the west, you dont even have to play the sport to still get sponsored by various brands.  Nobody in their right mind risks a whole career on being corrupt, no morals are required just common sense.

I really doubt someone is going to give some random geezer ongoing winning tips about which sports are rigged and who is going to win. If the rich do rigging,

Here's all the results for this weekend, perfectly planned out.   Put 60p on it, nobody will suspect !

The perfect plan for a cartoon perhaps lol     Some rigging will occur, but a perfect symphony of arranged games wont be the case.   It is isolated incidents, some noticed some unknown and definitely not with the foresight given to a random punter of just pennies.    If nothing else consider the large amount of money you have to throw at the players to risk losing their job, their sponsors and any self respect they may have had.
2989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: May 16, 2022, 03:19:31 AM
65% is alot that is bullish and worth taking note of for long term volume etc., need to save that one.  I dont think this current wave down is especially been challenged just yet, this weekly bar just closed has not been the positive that needs to appear.   The bottom pricing is hard to call, its a process not an event is the phrase one trader I follow uses.  On that basis its still a struggle, I still rate price action negatively and probably sideways is the first thing it has to do before a good possibility of positive thats stays green.

This sequence of continual decline is not usual.  I would guess having found 50 week as a top roughly we may need to visit the 200 week also and that would match events such as DXY peaking etc.
2990  Economy / Speculation / Re: A crash where Bitcoin wasn't responsible should be treated as such on: May 16, 2022, 03:13:33 AM
The news follows the price action but theres always some story of some kind, I find the graphs precede apparent negatives also and can give a clue of positives in the midst of gloom though its often faint.    Its pretty much correct all the negatives in other blockchains which have no direct link somehow end up reflecting badly.  Some blockchains are horribly biased like a central bank currency, they dont deserve to be called crypto even the rough technology association is enough.
There is at least 3 different time frames to consider, short medium and long term and in the end an unstable coin shouldnt lastly alter long term dynamics of BTC
2991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 15, 2022, 07:19:36 PM

Always take a wild bet if its good odds is something I would normally stick to but I saw Nip losing 1st map and also the start of the 2nd map first 5 or so rounds and left it.  They've come back won that 2nd map 14-16 and are again struggling on the 3rd but if I had taken 11x odds for Nip to win (people just run away cash out and odds get extreme) I could have cashed out even now while they struggle and made some easy money on a recovery.   Have to live and learn on that one for future games.   Navi do take the series most likely but they arent quite as flawless as last major and I already knew that, devils in the detail :p
2992  Economy / Economics / Re: Taking loan during high inflation? on: May 14, 2022, 11:55:59 PM
Taking the loan as a minor cost is effective, liquidity is key I agree.  It becomes dangerous when you cannot service the loan for various reasons, inflation does lead to economic loss and industry contraction and failure.
A quick take on why this is quite certain is perhaps consider 'Just in time' that idea of order flow and parts provided perfectly and it allows lower cost production.  Now also consider unstable currency, without the ability to fix value and cost known of parts this perfect balance breaks down and production becomes impaired slightly.   Across entire countries inflation can destroy business and unemployment can easily rise beyond expectations.

Quote
He believes when the inflation rate rises that's profitable to take a loan even with high interest to buy other assets such as gold, bitcoin, and even real estate.
Real estate is the most genuine reason to borrow, if its the primary residence and its used everyday its not so great a risk as you now have no rental costs.  Its a justified cost to the loan at that point, to speculate on gold is far more risky to do as the market price is not always clear.    Commodities at any time can half in price this is their true nature and volatility and even Gold can do this though its stable over decades and centuries most of us cant wait this long to get the money back.
Most would lack utility to borrowing and incurring costs to own Gold, unless you can shape the gold to make rings perhaps most wont.   Im not against gold at all, it will likely rise but it has no yield just holding this elemental rock in fact there is some cost of insurance maybe.   The ideal to me is to fix your interest rate cost to the loan, then if economic factors alter and rates rise you will remain intact in your original calculations.    I tried to tell my friend this, fix your mortgage rate cost so you know the future but most wont accept advice like that and its a personal matter; its never simple unfortunately but I agree with the premise OP Smiley
2993  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 14, 2022, 11:48:11 PM
You might be right on firepower of a large nation like Russia but to guess their tactics is probably giving too much credit.   They pulled back because of so many losses while counting any success, war is ultimately destructive and a horrible loss for both sides this is always true.
They destroyed buildings and its a civilian city, I think their fight is not well chosen or directed for winning anything tactically in effective advancement of the war or possession of this country; I would not want to advise them on any better course of action as the whole endeavor is an appalling waste of time and life for those paying the cost.
2994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic People Are Selling BTC And Buying inflationary Fiat For Safety But They on: May 14, 2022, 11:44:55 PM
There is such a thing as complacency, I dont count this as a full test just yet.   Many expected BTC to fall back to 20k previously and so it too might happen now.   If we spent the rest of this year just gradually declining and wearing peoples resolve down month by month that would match my prior experience of how hard BTC can be on anyone previously bullish.  That might happen, I cant really exclude its possibility when we have wars and trade wars and other break downs to deal with, pandemic virus destroying commerce and overall indebted countries all sorts of negatives.  BTC is really a long term trend, it varies alot and we can fall further imo but its not negative always, I wait for us to break upwards also Smiley
2995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: May 14, 2022, 11:20:55 PM
Buy more then once, it stops you overthinking things as it is impossible to truely know the market movements in future for sure.   Main thing is the price is not the determiner of success, there are far more important things then the exchanges flipping back and forth like a pinball machine its just a game to them.  Half of the price movements are just traders who give not a dam what happens to Bitcoin and many traders at their desk on leverage with a list of symbols dont actually use the coin outside of guessing the price; these people dont matter the actual users and operators of Bitcoin blockchain do matter.
The more users of BTC the better off each year thats true, if you could mute price and only trade on the user base you would be less blinded by external nonsense and in the end better off also.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler turns 60 pence bet into £157,865.59 on: May 14, 2022, 10:41:00 PM
The real problem with fixing was spot bets where its just a case of how many special events occur in a certain half of the game.   That tempts the players to go out of their way to make the bet win and a cartel can hand them five or six rewards for doing that.   To have the overall game decided by betting is usually not the case imo
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 14, 2022, 09:14:42 PM
The theory of probability is a valid study dating back hundreds of years.   Its a totally valid part of modern maths so I dont find their research award too controversial.  Gambling is a normal activity not just for sport or fun but every industry has unknown risk factors they must address to improve known outcomes.      Its more incorrect to define the wider world as known and certain.
2998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic People Are Selling BTC And Buying inflationary Fiat For Safety But They on: May 14, 2022, 08:42:44 PM
Human nature is incredibly predictable and repetitious in that way.    Its why I wonder if we can go back to the 2019 peak perhaps as an overshoot of the 200 week average.   In theory it shouldn't happen and its kinda silly but also people act like they must obey the market price and direction as if its flawless and perfectly correct.
If we can make incorrect price action on the way up, bubbly or however you label BTC at times; shouldnt people also consider we do exactly the same on the way down and price sales become erratic and overdone.
2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Over Matter In Gambling Using Pendulum on: May 14, 2022, 03:54:01 PM
You can be your own worst enemy when it comes to gambling quite easily.   On that basis some system like this could show positive results short term but also just keeping some rules to your gambling patterns and perhaps mark down a bet in a book, just writing things down is a kind of system.  I know people who track every sports bet they consider, not even just the ones they actually bet on and in this way their choices are more considered and in time successful.
3000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 13, 2022, 11:43:03 PM
Cloud9 is the former number 1 ranked team in the world for csgo so they should be doing well.  Maybe the org change threw people off and also they do have alot more competition now in a proper tournament set of games.   Bo1 is higher risk, luck of the draw to a larger extent then a full size series.   In theory these teams prepare to surprise and overwhelm a team on maps with strats crafted to take advantage of known plays by their opposition, its where CS is more then just plain fps but apart from Fallen being a good IGL Im not sure specially aware this time which team will utilize this.

I bet Faze over Ence and Vitality over Nip as a multi, seemed like pretty likely outcome to me though I'm lacking in my watching of these teams lately. Faze is doing far better then maybe ever before.

I put down a 37x multi bet Cheesy   just because who knows, 4 underdogs all win.  I dont think I win  I got doubts on all of them, Spirit for example but also I think I could so  I'll put something low on it:p
