2981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What should i take note when building a mining Rig? (What's Important) on: March 25, 2017, 01:52:53 AM
Alright so i browse through multiple forum and read some reviews.

Bold hardware is important

CPU: Intel Pentium G4560
MOBO: Gigabyte H110M-WW
RAM: GSKill AEGIS 8GB DDR4 2133mhz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX1050TI 4GB DDR5
Case: EsuperCase with 450W PSU
SSD: Intel 540S 120GB SSD

Quote
1) As a starter, can this spec do good in mining? Not looking for huge profit, just wanted to learn up something
If you are building a pc for regular use, and want to look at mining using it, then yes these components are fine. If you are buliding a pc specifically for mining then you have selected all the wrong components.
Quote
2) Other than the hardware in bold text, what should i take note?
The motherboard is the most important component, and you need one that can support multiple PCIe cards. The board you have selected can run a maximum of two, and you would need a powered riser to get the 2nd card running. See if you can get the Biostar TB250 or one of the several Z170 options mentioned in these forums.
Then for mining you need to get cards that ROI fast, so something like a 4GB RX 470. The 1050Ti is not nearly as good at crypto. You can not do a mining rig ina  regular case. You need a higher capacity power supply, assume 150W per GPU. The Intel SSD is waaay to expensive to justify its place in a mining system.
Quote
3) Do i need water cooling for this set up if i wanted to run 24/7?
No.
Quote
4) If i wanted to add 2 more Rx480 4GB, an upgrade to 750W PSU Is enough for that? And if i do this, what i should take note?
Yes, a 750W PSU is enough for upto 4 GPU's. But the RX 480 4GB is poor value, the RX 470 4GB or RX 480 8GB are really the only two good options

Thannks alot for the advice and help!

So other than motherboard, psu case, storage, all other hardware are okay with it?
Btw why is intel SSD way too expensive in justifying in this mining rig? is it due to storage?
Finally, lets say if i run up to 4 graphic cards, is there any cooling i need to go for? i mean i have read that some people mining hardwarw got broke due to high temp

Really appreciate for your reply
Thanks and regards,
Puremage
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / btc? btu? satoshi nakamoto? hard fork? on: March 25, 2017, 01:40:24 AM
Alright due to the recent hardfork news wave, i have read a huge list of article and gaining more knowledge in the field. Yet, i am still confused on the following.

1) Major differences of bitcoin core and bitcoin unlimited? Is it the configuration of size of block?

2) Since bitcoin is open source, which means if bitcoin unlimited want to change the consensus of blockchain like size of block, they can. Can they change the total supply of coins? Block retarget time and so?

3) Is satoshi nakamoto in bitcoin core team?

4) Is this the first major hard fork bitcoin ever forked?

5) As both platform uses the bitcoin source code, even bitcoin unlimited allow block size cofiguration, bitcoin core is able to process all the "Unnatural way" of transaction?

6) Main purpose of btu hardfork?
Block size increment
Security

Thats it?

Thanks
2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 25, 2017, 01:30:22 AM
It wouldnt overcome but it will hild a strong preferences in currency spending. People usually pay for btc with paypal at preev rate of 5-15% due to chargeback. Paypal is just having a really huge issue for the chargeback. Even the hard fork issue may came soon, yet i guess btc is still more realible to sent and receive as a payment
2984  Economy / Economics / Re: My perspective on the hardfork from an investors point of view on: March 25, 2017, 01:27:19 AM
wow i cant beloeve i read it all, and real appreciation and thanks for your perspective. Theres still a lot of things that we can learn in the community, i didnt know if btu make the fork we will have 2 types of coin which is the btc and btu in the wallet. And about the replay attack, guess for people who never read this article would just sent off any transaction after the fork
2985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Message from a random guy to btc community on: March 25, 2017, 01:07:36 AM
strong wills and belief!

Anyhow, the price did broke through the support level day by day, guess hard fork is really some huge thing there as i only know that it split blockchain community into 2 but not sure the effects and how it works

2987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 24, 2017, 08:07:08 AM
Icn is cheap right now hope they will add poloniex soon coz i can't use kraken

Why you can't using kraken? I think kraken is easy to use it and Nice exchanges
I dont have any problem there.

Kraken takes alot of time to get credited when using btc.
I also prefer polo than kraken.

And when people get locked out they dont let them back in. Causing them to lose money. I am still locked out of my main account despite NUMEROUS attempts to get back in via support. Useless exchange

What do you mean by "locked out"?

Perhaps he mean he made too much invalid login or some other person made too much invalid log in on his account in order to secure his account, his account is locked. But anyhow, kraken is kind of.. annoy to use due to the kyc thinggy, its good to know your customer but its annoying to set, config and upload those documents :/

They made it. Congrats for being listed on bittrex.

Kov could you help me with something?

I've joined the Signature Campaign + Blog Post

Right now i only got 100 Tokes which i suppose it should be from the Sig camp itself or blog post but not both

My address : 3PGZVPaa5oxnGUdLx1uVsSJhVFyaDov69Xj

As previously the spreadsheet didn't stated how many tokes of each of us got but someone mentioned they also received 100 tokes so i suppose its only from Signature camp i think.

Thanks!

I've also created a blog post weeks before the ico started. I have already sent my waves wallet address several times when the team asked us to send. I think you guys have missed to distribute what are for the blog bounties.

Please send me a PM on here or slack so I can research it. Thank you.

Message sent, kindly check it and thanks for the help dev!
2990  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If you have 10 BTC = Approx $10,000, where would you invest for 1% monthly? on: March 24, 2017, 01:04:09 AM
The best offer is buy home and renting or no invest.

Love people like this who are going to think that it's possible to buy a home for 10 thousand to be able to make money off of it, any home like that is going to be disgusting and a waste of that money.

While a house by that price even in a third world country is not going to be of good quality if the person buying it has skills like carpentry or masonry then he could do the repairs to the house without paying a specialist and then resell the house for a profit.

Obviously, he doesn't want to put in that sort of work. Otherwise he wouldn't be asking for a way to gain 1% a month passively. That would be like a full-time job.

Yeap xd this fund is excluded from my ico investing fund, altcoin trading fund and so. Just looking for some place where i can dump it there and grow some money worry free Smiley

2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹A Platform for Consumer Adoption with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on BiTTREX 🔹 on: March 23, 2017, 05:57:42 PM

best strategy is to vote for the ones that are forging but with low position because they have less votes so if you vote them your percentage is higher and you get more ARK

didi you mean the best strategy is to vote for delegate in 51th position???
but if it's so, then this delegate rise in ranking...
and then?
i can change my vote???
can you explain better plz?
thank you

yes, you can uncheck the person you are voting for in the desktop wallet, then hit the vote button again to unvote that person.  Once that has hit the blockchain, you can vote for whoever you want again.

only thing is there is a 1 ark fee for unvoting and also a 1 ark fee for voting.

Hello, after i read i am still confused with it. So for this delegating section

Is it something like i vote on your proposal with my coins and you forged the coins?

Is there any guide for it?

Is this the steps
1) Register as delegate for 25
2) Vote?

Thanks

ICN was no.11 in CMC ranking, but now is no.15, yesterday was 17. Not easy to make a bullish run, but Icn finally start to rise. Congratulations!

when btc etf was rejected, all the alts are raising and the price of the top 20 coins is actually going bull, eth, dash, xmr, nem. Eventho ranking is dropping but its good as the price is going and its not droppig much Smiley
3000  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTCJAM.com ? on: March 20, 2017, 12:54:45 PM
Twitter is pretty much dead and they didn't announce anything there. I believe they stopped loan requests because the scam level was so high and they couldn't stop it anymore, I find it as a good decision personally as everyone was scamming using fake accounts and ID's. While googling, It says It's permanently closed (I assume their offices):

wow, this makes me feel wow. I always thought BTCjam was doing real good even with their credibility rating system, you could pick different types of loan. Seems that account ID with personal details just couldn't secure the business good nuff :/
