@ FP91G Copper is better than aluminium and also the heat sink you are referring to is southbridge but OP main issue is in the Northbridge, which is not fully shown in the picture above. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FcqVkQbt.jpeg&t=663&c=Z8uWGxZE6M5pdw) I know that this motherboard has a southbridge and a northbridge. Naturally, the northbridge will heat up more, because it is responsible for the exchange of data between the GPU, CPU and RAM.If you find such a radiator in a store, buy it for your peace of mind. These motherboards have been working for me for 6 years and I use only additional fans. There are a lot of additional 3 pin connectors on this mobo.

Is it dangerous that your mining farm is located near the window? Rain and wind can hurt you a lot. It seems to me that you have a very unfortunate mining farm configuration for your hot climate. In the summer you will have big problems with overheating. Or you will have to constantly use the air conditioner.

Why not use a stronger or ticker copper plate? They don't always come with their cooling fan so you need to purchase fans separately but I can assure you that they work better, most backplates that come with fans are aluminium, find something like the picture below. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fb4UnqpO.jpeg&t=663&c=1O3jW02GaKpOdA) If you use a closed case, you will not be able to install your video card in this case due to the upgrade, because the thickness will increase. For one video card, this is a good solution, but for 5 or more it is more profitable to buy a closed case and make ventilation.Or do as I do, but I don’t buy a hot video card (3070ti,3080,3090).

This motherboard has a good aluminum heatsink and does not need to be replaced. It is enough to install an additional cooler for cooling on this radiator. It will be cheaper and the result will be almost the same.

Is dual mining possible on the low range graphic cards like gtx 1060, 1070, 1080 and 1660s? I've tried dual mining only on RTX series not GTX, and if Dual mining can be more profitable to the RTX3 series why not the smaller graphics cards?.
It is better to mine Ethereum on GTX 1060, 1070, 1080 video cards. You can try Ethereum + zill, but the profit is not very big and sometimes it is even unprofitable. For example, when there are large commissions in the network. I do not use dual mining on these cards to avoid overheating.

Hi all, do you think such a water or liquid cooler is effective in reducing heat generation in a 12 gpu rig? Do you tried one of them and can you give mi some recommendation on this topic? Can it really eliminate the need for fans? Thanks as ever!
Recommendations are best given before buying. Water cooling for a mining farm of 12 video cards will be very expensive. I always prefer to choose thin graphics cards that can be cooled in the summer with ventilation.

Keep in mind that with the increased DAG size the 10 series from Nvidia suffer from hash rate drops,I had a Gtx 1070 some time ago it was doing 31 Mhsh in 2019 while it can do only 25-26 Mhsh right now because of the increasing DAG size, this maybe the issue you are facing, also my Gtx 1080 ti was doing 42 Mhsh when I got it a couple of months ago,it is now at 41 Mhsh and will be even lower with the passing of time, this is something well known for the 10 series of Nvidia.
These cards have 8gb vram memory, how come they are performing less? Presently a 1080ti can do 45MH I guess the reason why yours is now getting less hashrate is because the thermal pads and grease are getting weaker, this has nothing to do with the increase of DAG size. Don't write such nonsense anymore. https://www.reddit.com/r/gpumining/comments/ixu7l4/why_is_my_1070_hashrate_so_slow/GTX 1060-1080 video cards could mine without losing hashrate if Nvidia released a patch, as AMD did. Nvidia won't do it.

It's an old board. If it has always been like that just let it be. If it's a new issue it's probably about to fail anyway so don't waste money on that cool heat sink.
This motherboard is a high-end gaming motherboard that supports many features that normal motherboards dont have, I am willing to spend some money on this issue just to get it fixed, I just ordered this heat sink and I hope it will work if the heat reduces the motherboard will last longer, thank you all for your responses, I will drop feedback if it works. Both chips are heated on this motherboard, heatsinks are expensive to buy. I had a built-in network card burned out on one of these motherboards, possibly due to overheating of the chip. I bought a usb network card. But know that on aliexpress such a motherboard costs 45-50 dollars.

My motherboard won't work with mixed graphic cards, if you add AMD GPU with Nvidia GPU the motherboard will start behaving abnormalities, boots and shut downs, boot and reboots, long time to boot on, all this stuffs but if I use 1-6 sets of the same graphic cards it will work perfectly, I've never seen anything like it.
Install Nvidia graphics cards first, then AMD graphics cards. If the BIOS firmware does not help, then select a working configuration with the maximum number of video cards. What motherboard and what graphics cards do you have?

I would mine ethereum at https://ethermine.org/Would receive payouts with low commissions to the polygon network and buy wrapped bitcoins or transfer these coins to most exchanges with low commissions. Nicehash automatically selects the most profitable algorithm for you at the current time I'm happy someone talk about this finally, there is also spiderpool that supports this ETH to Polygon Network payout to fix high gas fee issue but I can't find any exchange that accept deposits of ETH Polygon, is there something I am missing here?. Check out these exchanges, but I think there are many more. Binance, KuCoin,OKEx, CEX.IO, Huobi,FTX,Gate.io,Kraken,Poloniex,Bitforex,Bittrex,Coinbase If they don't accept ETH Polygon, then see if they accept USDT Polygon. You can exchange ETH Polygon for USDT Polygon on Uniswap with a low commission.

How cool is 430watt power consumption for 155MH? Is this efficient enough? Also I want to ask about cooling 3080s and 3090s, does adding a thermal pad at the bad of the GPU make any difference? I've changed the front pads with 2mm thermal pads and I get good result but im just curious about the back thermal pad.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d27YQWWPH5QYou can install additional heatsinks on the backplate of the graphics cards to get even better results. It's a lot of fun to modify some of the most expensive graphics cards out there. That's why I prefer not to buy them.

Hi I am new to crypto mining and I want to set a rig up using my gaming desktop, I have two rx580 and I have two risers, the confusion is the risers name are different, one is 007 and one is 009, can I use them both in my motherboard or they have to be the same model.
Install one video card in the motherboard, and you can install the second near the case with a raiser for better cooling. Only if you do not have small children and cats or other pets. Use molex raisers or 6 pin raisers.

This isn't about hashrate from graphic cards but the ping (ms) on pool using mining software, I used Trex miner for a long time now and after hearing about lol miner latest update performance I wanted to give a try but I found out that I get better ping on lolminer than Trex miner, 120ms (Trex) and 60ma (lolminer), why am I just knowing this now?.
120ms is a great ping and don't waste your time on it. If you use 4G internet, then your ping will be 400-1000ms or more. You will have the same profit when using both miners and the difference will not be noticeable.

Looking on whattomine this type of gpu can reach 20.50 Mh/s on ethash with a consumption of 90 watts perhaps with a little overclocking it can even reach 25 Mh/s
It's not worth it unless crypto mining is profitable, if 25MH can give you 4$ per day then using 90watts is still fair to me but with 25MH you will earn 0.88$ today using 90watt, thats crazy and stupid at the same time, I have 1660 gtx that use 55watt to achieve 25MH in miner and 60watt from wall, this is way better than gtx 1060. Lol when 0,88$ at 90watts bad is for you, wait some more months and you will get 0,10$ at 90watts ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) then you would be happy with 0,88$ at 90watts ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) 😆 very funny, not every miners will be able to keep on mining in a bear market but its always a good idea to go with the most efficient graphics card you can find, its why my rigs are based only on 6600XT and 1660S, whatever the case may be in near future I will still run this miners because they take less electricity. When the GTX 1060 graphics card runs at $0.10 at 90watts, then your new graphics cards will not show much profit either. You can mine, but your mining on the 6600XT and 1660S will be more like a hobby than a business.

That's if ETH failed to swap PoW algo for PoS algo, 6gb GPUs won't stop been hot cake for miners because they support many other algorithms as well.
Gtx 1060 GPUs are still working. They will continue to earn money for those who want to use it in mining. All this time they have been doing good work for The and other algorithms. They consume a little more energy than newly released GPUs. This is perfectly normal. It won't be once 23MH earns miners 0.22$ per day, there won't be enough to pay for the electricity bill unless the miners have free solar power or something else, in this area I believe the RX580 8GB is a better option, power consumption wise. I don't understand what you are arguing about. The RX580 and Gtx 1060 are both old GPUs and will be obsolete once Ethereum mining ends. I have both RX480 and Gtx 1060 and they only mine ethereum. But I don't recommend them for beginners.

Do not use the latest versions of Windows for mining. Download the 2018-2019 version and use the 2021 drivers. Block all automatic updates using utilities. Better yet, use Hive OS or Raven OS, there is 1 mining farm for free.

These motherboards like to get hot when mining. Buy a fan 40x40 or more and install it on the radiator. This will solve your overheating problem for a few dollars. But these old motherboards can work for a very long time in this mode.

1060 5Gb cannot be modified with BIOS firmware. This is the version with 5 GB of RAM. I would use hive os and lol miner. 102-100 5Gb can be modified to get 10 GB of RAM. Try to flash the BIOS of one video card and test it in mining, and after a few days update the BIOS on other video cards.
