There are many who can use such technical words understanding about the working of bitcoin and you can see some high rank technical members have full knowledge about them so it's hard to judge from words or writing style but what is the need of all this? He wish to remain silent and leave the space on his own or due to some other reasons but bitcoin is still the same in his absence also so why we are always running behind these matters?

Yeah, I agree.

I can understand some level of curiosity, specially for new people, but some are just obsessed with this.

Bitcoin is way larger than its creator, it doesn't really matter if Satoshi is alive or dead, or if he suddenly reappears. Bitcoin has had a life on it's own for more than a decade now.

I wonder why there are no people obsessed to know about the inventor of email, TCP-IP, or any other protocol we use daily now.

This was a historic moment in Bitcoin, and it's good to see that it's being commemorated.
2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 02, 2022, 12:55:58 AM
As others have said, it depends a lot on many variables, so some of them would be very well off, others not so much, and others in between. Some have also sadly passed away as well.

I remember reading in reddit that the two people involved in the first BTC-pizzas exchange, laszlo and jercos, are now both not-rich and not-poor. Just comfortably in the middle.
2984  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do believe that Bitcoin will be more scarce than gold on: August 02, 2022, 12:19:06 AM
You only need to have a look at the graph of gold production per year to see that Bitcoin is way more scarce than gold:

They will mostly face this issue of high temperature/ hot weather conditions within their few weeks (1week-2weekd) of their exposure/presence to high temperature in Quata, So I do think that adaptation/acclimatization to that environment will start to take place, take for instance people who comes from extremely hot weather environment to play football in Europe ,what happened when they gets to cold weather environment, you will realize that at a particular they got adapted.
Too I think some measures will be in place , maybe FIFA would likely allow up to 5 or more substitution to take place and equally have a brief period where players will have theirselves cooled down a bit.

Most countries in Europe are having similar weather conditions right now, temperatures around 40 degrees. If anything, Qatar will be a bit cooler than Europe right now when the World Cup starts.

I don't think the weather will play a huge role in this World Cup, specially for the European countries.

It will probably be a pleasant and nice weather throughout the entire competition, maybe around 20s and 30s.

Belgium is not the type of team that can win this thing. I mean sure they are good, but they are not good enough to actually be great. I am saying this because it is a tournament, if it was a league they would be high up there, but in a tournament one bad game and you are gone.

Belgium is not the "force" they were, they had a good few years but right now they are not that good and I do not think that anyone would assume them as that good. They will not win this. There are four teams everyone talks about, brazil, argentina, england, france and those four will be fighting for the top spot and one of them will be the winner, I am not seeing anyone else could.

I agree with you.

There's no way Belgium will end up taking the World Cup.

Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, and even Uruguay have more chances to winning the trophy, in my mind.

Yes this will be another side of the story since government will just force their citizens to commit crime by continue to gamble on different form knowing internet has variety of choices and ways offered to them. So to avoid such thing to happen much better for government to adopt and regulate gambling because from this they can maximize the resources coming from this as well they can help their citizens to overcome something bad to them if they put a serious program on gambling activities.

The government won't force any citizens to commit crimes though, each citizen decides by themselves to do it. Also, it's the responsibility of each citizen to keep gambling in control, not the government. Sure, the government can help, but ultimately it's the person's responsibility.

At the end of the day, gambling is a lucrative business for the private sector and the government. There are massive losses which are paid by each gambler individually, but that's their choice to make.
2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating people on Bitcoin for free on: August 01, 2022, 03:16:05 AM
You could encourage them to buy a real product using Bitcoin.

This is a store that sells socks and it only accepts Bitcoin:

In order to make the transaction they will need to learn how to deal with Bitcoin at a basic level, and it's also fun.

2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: August 01, 2022, 03:06:30 AM
Bitcoin has gained so much popularity and recognition in the past few years that it rose from nominal prices to almost $69000 in 2020. It however gained hundreds of billions of dollars in capitalization over the years. The situation has changed with both appraisals/approvals and backlashes on the cryptos by some countries, especially government officials.

Inflation is another problem, and they have successfully caused Bitcoin to remain at lower levels compared to its all-time peak of almost $69000. Its market capitalization today is a little above $454 billion, which is still a good value. However, in events that more backlashes and higher inflation negatively affect the crypto some more and finds itself at about $1000. What would be your reaction? Will you turn your back on Bitcoin or has your investment just begun on it?

As for me, my investment has just begun. I have learnt from my past mistake.

Personally I will continue to acquire more Bitcoin all the time, independent of it's current price.

If it's $1000, then I would be able to get more. All good.

I don't really care too much about the present price, or the short term. I'm thinking a couple of decades time.
2990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: August 01, 2022, 01:09:50 AM
What is he doing these days? It is really unlikely that he never ever came back to the forum again, just to read and look at the progress.
Supposing that Satoshi is a "he" first of all, No one has been able to place the correct gender of satoshi or even if it's a group. Not that his current activities should be of any concern to us, but certainly Satoshi is not idol, to think of it, Satoshi may still very much be in observation of bitcoins from a distance, it is difficult, i think impossible to create something as innovative as bitcoins and just abandon it without keeping watch or checking on it once in a while.

Well, all we have is probabilities for this, as we don't know for sure.

Given that the vast majority of people involved in tech are men, and that the vast majority of people involved in Bitcoin in the early days were men, then it follows that most probably Satoshi was/is a man.

Of course it can be a woman, but that would be unlikely.
2991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the future of crypto 10 years from now. on: August 01, 2022, 12:19:29 AM
I don’t think any other altcoin can ever match the level of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the number one crypto and will remain in its place. It is  the king of other cryptocurrencies.

There just isn't anything even remotely close to Bitcoin.

Buying alts is like buying fake gold colored stuff, you might think it looks cool today, but soon you'll realize you have a worthless piece of nothing in your hands.
2992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: August 01, 2022, 12:17:41 AM
~snip~

Gold is literally good for long-term investment as the price keeps on growing but if we think about earning a profit in the short-term, we can't expect much for it as it only has a small increment. But if we talk about Bitcoin, the volatility of its price gives a reason why many people are preferred to take risks because they know that can earn and multiply their money.

However, Gold assured safety while Bitcoin is prone to hacking which is only ideal for risk takers and techy individuals.

Yeah, I would say Bitcoin is probably only for techy people.

Most normal people need a third party to manage their money, and they would never manage their own Bitcoin, which is the whole point of it. The moment you give your Bitcoin to someone else, then it becomes the same as the old money.
2993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 31, 2022, 06:37:52 AM
Online gambling addictions such as online slots, online lottery, etc. can ultimately destroy the lives of the players, both financially, physically, emotionally, and socially. The back and forth wins experienced by online slot gambling players, online lottery, etc., is what ultimately makes these players fall into addiction. The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) in the United States estimates that bankruptcy, theft, domestic violence and neglect of children, foreclosure of homes and other investments, and even suicide are also linked to gambling addictions such as online slots.

The following are the characteristics of someone who is addicted to online gambling...
There is always a desire to gamble with increasing amounts of money, to achieve what you want.

Restlessness or irritability when trying to reduce or stop gambling.

After losing gambling money, often comes back another day to get revenge ("chase" someone's loss).

Forcing into debt and even committing crimes just to have playing capital, and relying on others to provide money to alleviate the desperate financial situation caused by gambling.

Often gambles when feeling depressed (eg stressed, helpless, guilty, anxious, depressed).
Are we one of the online gambling addicts...?
 Huh Huh Huh

Gambling addiction is pretty similar to any other addiction.

People want to get that feeling of excitement, and every time people win at gambling they get that. It's the same feeling that someone gets when eating a chocolate, or drinking alcohol, etc, whatever feels good for the person.

That's addiction, doing something that feels good for the short term but it's bad for the long term.

Gambling is particularly dangerous because you can get financial ruin extremely fast, compared to other addictions.
2994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 31, 2022, 06:31:44 AM
Compare between Argentina squad than France I think prefer with  France have completed team and all position dominance by young player, different with Argentina I think just have Lionel Messi only and other position dominance by senior and less than with young player on Argentina squad. Some France player played on top team like Karim Benzema and Aurélien Tchouaméni playing Real Madrid, Mbappe and Presnel Kimpembe for PSG and many other position their player plating on top team. Maybe Argetina have little different between regular player and substitute not playing on competitive league.
If we check deep facts about all teams and their possible players then surely I am feeling France is moth lethal team in this world cup with have full ability to defend their title because they have too many quality players for all departments and these players are already doing good job in their clubs, and we can call them cream of Europe because of their strong play and quality.

With this comparison there is no competition with Argentina which is mostly depending on Messi and others are also good but have no enough quality like France and this is going to be the biggest difference between these teams here Brazil is also having few good players but comparison they are also not good enough like European teams which are currently good and having better quality for winning.

Interesting. I think France will do very well in this world cup, but I don't think they will end up winning. There are just do many talented countries. My personal favourite is now probably either Germany, Spain, or Brazil. I think one of those will end up grabbing the cup this time. I can see France in the semis though.
2995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 31, 2022, 06:28:07 AM
Gambling has benefits for gamblers who are playing in moderation. Its a stress reliever for me when im tired due to my work, my past time when I want to feel some excitement. Im playing for fun thus the money I spend everytime I gamble is not much. Because its different to play an ordinary game without money involve compared if you gamble since there's also a chance to earn.

Those gamblers who dont have control are the ones suffering of the cons of gambling. One of the reason why many people are seeing gambling as bad because of the effect that it can cause to gamblers who dont have self-control.
Other than gambling addiction which has been a long time trouble for individuals who lost control, the money involved is one other concern why gambling has a bad name. People often think that gambling is just a waste money since most gamblers lost on most of their games and activities.

It's a good thing if you will be able to control yourself as you won't get broke and will have financial trouble. But both gambler who has self control and addicted can experience the same excitement and joy when playing and I think addicted gamblers enjoys most when they are winning.

Yeah, I think at the end of the day all that matters is to avoid financial ruin.

As long as the gambler plays with a small amount it's all under control. The moment the gambler starts putting a considerable amount of money is when problem starts appearing, because it will inevitably lose all the money in the long term.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 31, 2022, 06:24:51 AM
As far as sport exist , games exist gambling will exist. Their is no sport or games without gambling,  they all work together. Gambling is another dimension of game too that has outcome of win or lose.

Gambling is greater than sports though. You can pretty much gamble on anything that is not deterministic, anything that has any kind of random aspect in it can be used for gambling.
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it profitable to hedge/cashout bets before end of sport event? on: July 30, 2022, 07:52:46 AM
I cannot remember having made a cashout before a match ended. If I made a cashout, probably for only 1 or 2 times. But I remember contemplating on doing it a number of times. That's when you can see that a comeback is possible. But I normally just stick to my bet until the end.

In the case of counter betting, I made a few only because I was convinced that the team I placed a bet on earlier is probably gonna lose. So it was not about the odds really. It wasn't about making profit. It was simply about trying to recover my potential loss.

It seems a bit odd to cash out before the game ends. I mean, it's usually fun to watch the game anyway, so might as well wait for it to end before checking the betting results.

But I guess you can make betting more efficient that way, just seems less fun
2998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 30, 2022, 07:48:24 AM
Tickets for the 2022 Women's Euro final game between hosts England and Germany are already sold out, breaking the previous record for both the women's and men's tournament finals. The game will take place on Sunday night at Wembley Stadium. This is one of Germany's eight European championships, and it is a rematch of the 2009 final, in which Germany defeated England 6-2.

Strong England vs. unyielding Germany will make for an exciting matchup between two of the finest teams in the competition. Beth Mead and Alexandra Popp, who have both scored six goals, will compete for the tournament's golden boot.

Is it just me or it seems that women's soccer matches tend to end with way more goals than men ones.

More than 4 goals is pretty much unheard of in men's soccer, yes, it happens, but very rarely, whereas in women's soccer it seems to happen way more often.
2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: July 30, 2022, 07:45:33 AM
I will not mention any particular gambling casinos, but what are your thought if the casino or casinos with good feedback from the community, but with one unresolved scam accusation but from all angles, the accusation is legit with all the screenshots, transaction hash email conversation are provided by the complainant lets say he is not allowed to withdraw his earnings amounting to $100k but from all angles the accusation is valid, don't you think with thousand good feedback, its enough for the casino to lose his reputation with one legit accusation.

If there's literally only one of those cases and the entire operation continues normally, then I would assume that there's more information that is not being revealed. I would assume there's some issues with that particular person, instead of the casino.
3000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking to start an online casino on: July 30, 2022, 07:41:01 AM
Hey guys!

So I am interested in starting an online bitcoin casino, yet i have no idea how to start from.
I have a background in coding, and I know the in and outs of integrating crypto, yet i have zero game development skills, and i have no idea how much it will cost, and will it even get users.
Any help would be well appreciated! and looking for partners if anyone wants to start that.

Thank you!

I think one area that is extremely important is the legal one.

The technical aspects are relatively simple compared to knowing all the details of the laws and making sure there are no issues with the users.

You will need to enforce all the local rules of all the countries you want to serve. Not a simple task
