2981  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is the biggest problem with cryptos on: July 29, 2020, 08:24:01 PM
If you think these are the biggest problem, then I would say you don't even know what is currently going on in currently in the crypto world.
You don't need any third party software to receive a notification. The wallet you use notifies users. I am pretty much sure you can use scripts to automate things. I mean think about how deposits are made in casinos. They are automatically detected and credited. I doubt they manually credit all accounts.

Instead of crypto currencies stay as digital currencies you morons turned bitcoin / eth and other cryptos in to financial instruments .  That's the problem !

What do you even mean by this?

Well good luck explaining to avg Joe how to sell his cows with bitcoin.
If an average Joe can learn how to sell his cows for paypal, he can learn how to sell cows for bitcoin.
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances of bitcoin taking another dive? on: July 29, 2020, 06:47:55 PM
Risky. You never know when it is going to drop low. The price requires no excuse for it to drop or rise. Like you have seen, back in March the price drop quite badly within few hours, though most of the people blame the panic sellers who thought the price of bitcoin is also going to fall along with the stocks.
No one here can predict when the price will fall. $5,900 seems a bit too low, but you never know. So take necessary steps or prevention to secure your collateral.
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This could be a big WIN for an entire crpyto community on: July 28, 2020, 07:30:39 PM
However, doesn't this make Bitcoin not decentralized again? As we know, BTC is decentralized and it is full of anonymously. In the crypto world, the rules to regulate the BTC is needed because it will determine how people mostly stare on this crypto. however, after legalized, will it influence on how the systems of the coin? The fees, and also of course taxes? is there any clear explanation?
First of all, being decentralized doesn't mean that it is anonymous. Secondly, bitcoin is decentralized, which you are correct, but it is not anonymous. It more pseudonymous. It can always be tracked back to you if your transaction somehow gets linked to you. Google "bitcoin pseudonymous" and you will understand why and how it is not anonymous. If it was truly anonymous, people wouldn't be caught scamming or doing illegal activities.
If you are worried about taxes, most of the countries tax bitcoin gains. You probably don't know.
2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal to Offer Crypto Trading on: July 28, 2020, 07:13:22 PM
As the topic says the payment giant company was reportedly plans to introduce crypto trading through a new brokerage service offered by United States stablecoin operator Paxos.
Source

Theres also a rumor that the payment giant company wrote a letter to EU commission just for the development of their own crypto but when they were confronted about it they said "PayPal does not comment on rumors or speculation.”

Learn that news like this dont just happen if something like it is not already happening.
Your thoughts

Yeah, we have been hearing such rumors for quite a long time. But, why are people excited about this? I mean what makes them so unique? All they will be doing is allow users to trade crypto and make some extra money (as a form of fee) from their users. I wouldn't be surprised to see people whining about how their account got blocked or something happened to their funds and taking ages to resolve the case. Paypal loves to freeze funds, even if it is from legit sources. Doesn't coinbase provide the exact service paypal is about to provide? Others saying they can link their bank account and withdraw directly, they can also do that with coinsbase. As far as I remember, coinbase does support ACH transactions.
2985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: July 28, 2020, 07:06:20 PM
If you are looking for casino reviews, I would recommend you to use this forum as you will get to know how the casino is currently doing. People over here are quick to catch scam casinos  Smiley. If you look for review articles, you might bump into an old article or a fake article that promotes a scam/fake casino.
Though external sources are good, but it is always wise to recheck over here (talking about crypto casino). If they have an announcement thread over here with good reputation, it would be safe to use. The forum is also a good place to keep yourself updated with the latest news!
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This could be a big WIN for an entire crpyto community on: July 28, 2020, 05:39:37 PM
Just a state law that has been passed. Nothing to be excited about to be honest, but yeah it is a small step towards the total integration of crypto currencies into the monetary system. Putting crypto currencies under Washingtons money transmitter law means they are eventually looking forward to do something big with it. The biggest news is going to be the one where the country announces bitcoin as a legal tender  Smiley. But, one thing, it is going to be regulated at full scale!
2987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be the best time to invest? on: July 27, 2020, 07:25:36 PM
Why do people keep on looking for the "best time"? Every day is the best time to invest on. If you believe crypto currencies are the future, then go ahead and invest!
But always make sure to invest what you can afford to lose. I am talking about long term investment over here though.
Look at the forum. There are people who regrets a lot because they didn't invest in bitcoin because they though the price was too high, or they just kept waiting for the "right" time.
You will be regretting too if you keep on waiting! Remember, even if the price falls down, you don't lose anything as long as you don't sell the coins!
2988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life soundtrack for Gamblers? on: July 25, 2020, 04:15:51 PM
You are going to get hit by copyright infringement real hard if you upload videos with those music/soundtracks unless you buy the license for it (quite expensive, though some indie composers might give it to you for cheap). The best thing you can do is making your own soundtrack. Instrumental versions are easy to make or you can always hire someone to do it for you. Using your original soundtrack would actually be better for you since you will be attracting more people if your music is good!
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hackers steal huge amounts of bitcoins? on: July 25, 2020, 04:11:50 PM
I was reading about Cashaa, that was hacked and 336BTC were stolen. But the hacker can't move them right? He will leave footprints. So why should hackers steal them since they can be found? For example if they want to convert them to fiat.

The only way I think you could get by from this felony is to keep them on very long term. So long that it may be forgotten. But still, it may.
Why wouldn't they? They are hackers. Someone being careless about their coins and the hackers wouldn't mind taking it. They find vulnerabilities on exchanges and they use it for their own benefit. They are making easy money from it.They don't have the same "frame of mind" like us. They don't differentiate or can't differentiate between what is right or wrong. They don't have any morals and don't actually care about being low. So easy money is one of the reason why they do this.

And like others said, they can use mixers to obscure their transactions. They can even spend it on something else like buying stuffs with bitcoin where they don't need to provide ID and later sell those stuffs.
2990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OneCoin scam promoters found dead! on: July 25, 2020, 04:01:39 PM
Is one of them actually dead or are they just faking their death to escape from all the bad doings? You never know to what extent those scammers (i know they were just promoters. Being involved with them also makes them a scammer) are willing to go to hide everything. Most people over here are saying that one of the investors tracked the scammer and killed him. I doubt that happened (and the article says mob kidnapped them). Highly likely the real scammer (and they maybe the mobs) killed the promoters over some dispute.
2991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto.com investment legit and safe? on: July 25, 2020, 02:55:11 PM
I don't know what kind of platform crypto.com is, but it kinda does sound a bit unsafe. I have never heard of it. If they are saying they invest your investment on mining, then please stay away from them. Get to know what they do with your money and how are they going to give you back your money with your profit. What are the guarantee that they will be able to give your profit every month? and will they be distributing the profit every year? Though every month 8% profit sounds too good to be true and I wouldn't be anywhere near them with  my money. Wouldn't be surprised if it is a ponzie scheme or anything like that.
2992  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on with crypto market? on: July 25, 2020, 04:14:41 AM
We have seen a lot of changes in the crypto market recently, not in terms of pricing but rather in terms of projects as we have seen much lesser new projects this year compared to last two years. Is it because scam projects cannot scam people and they quit or else there are no investor's to start new projects?
The amount of scam project that used to pop up every now and then, made it look like there are a lot of projects out there. Probably, those scammers are taking a break? Or maybe people are now aware of those scam projects and they are ignoring them. So, the scammers are making less profit and isn't worth the amount of coins they are making when compared to the amount of tasks they have to do to create a successful scam. Either way, its a good thing. We don't need any more shit projects and people spamming/shilling for those projects.
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Escrow is a must to avoid disappointment on: July 25, 2020, 04:10:43 AM
If the project was actually legit and had no intention of scamming investors, I doubt they would scam their bounty hunters. I have seen most people claiming that they didn't receive their coins, and the project actually ended up dying. I mean they never had any intention to pay the bounty or work on their project. They just wanted to use the bounty hunters to promote their work and scam their investors.
Again, if the team refuses to pay some individuals, then I think they have their own reason for not paying them. Perhaps the user that joined broke their rules?
But, yeah, keeping an escrow would actually help to bring peace in peoples mind. But, don't they pay users using their own tokens?
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 24, 2020, 07:42:35 PM
Many of us were well known the Coinmarketcap from where we receive all cryptocurrency like coins and tokens details like on which exchange they listed, what is the 24-hour treading volume, or which platform they based on, etc. These days many new crypto coins and tokens was introducing and listing on many exchanges and It makes a very difficult decision for the investor to choose which coins or tokens should they invest to make some good profit. Many of the new cryptocurrency was makes a good pump in their stating days and after they dump in a very dramatic way. This cause a big loss to the investors and the trust in these types to new coins and tokens was finished. So, the main question is that Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens? or it is good for a very certain time of investment?
Trading any kind of crypto currencies are risky. If anyone says that there is no risk involved when investing in this "XYZ" token/coin, then he is probably just lying or is being ignorant or just shilling for those coin. Though, coins that are well established have less risk than those that are new or "not so popular".
Just using data from coinmarketcap to invest is a bad idea. Information like 24 hours trade value can easily be manipulated!
2995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 24, 2020, 07:33:47 PM
I rarely gamble, but back then when I did, I preferred Bitcoin and Doge coin. Don't know why, but doge coin felt like the coin that is quite suitable for gambling lol. Was also fun to tip users with doge (and people has been using doge to tip each other for a very long time. I still remember those doge tip bot back in 2014).
As for other users in CryptoGames, I have seen most of them also preferring bitcoin, while some users were preferring ethereum.
2996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia legalizing Bitcoin and cryptos but not allowed as payment method? on: July 24, 2020, 04:38:47 PM
Okay so months ago, we thought that they're all set to lay down the axe on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in Russia. But right now, lawmakers have passed a bill to legalize cryptocurrencies in their country.

However, there's one section of the bill states that Bitcoin cannot be used as payment method. They do legalize cryptocurrency trading though, but not sure when it comes to crowdfunding, ICOs, etc.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/russian-lawmakers-finally-pass-countrys-major-crypto-bill

Any reactions so far guys?
Good they made it legal (i mean they don't even know what to do with this. At least they finally came to a stance). Making it illegal to make payments using bitcoin is understandable to be honest. I mean, they will be forced to convert it into fiat currency. This way the government won't have any issue tracking the users (since fiat conversion will probably require some sort of ID) and will probably add new rules so that they can even tax those people who converts it.
2997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any way to out of this insecurity? on: July 24, 2020, 04:12:40 PM
Over the past few years, I have been horrified by the way accounts of various exchanges and crypto-related websites and individuals have been hacked by hackers. Is there any way to out of this insecurity? I think cryptocurrency will lose popularity if it continues like this, share your ideas on what can be done to overcome this situation.
This is not called insecurity. You are just being concerned about the safety of your accounts which is quite normal. Look, no matter how much secure the company claims they are , they are not! They are always prone to getting hacked (and I guess you have already seen it).
The only way to keep your coins secure is not not keep them lying around everywhere without any reason. If you are done with exchanging, just withdraw your coins and keep it somewhere safe. Preferably in cold wallets and hardware wallets. As long as the coins are being held by a third party, they are never safe!
Make sure to use every security layer they provide. Won't totally secure your account, but will at least keep it more safe than not using it at all.
2998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Bitcoin Technology. on: July 24, 2020, 01:19:11 PM
True bitcoin certainly is the future. I also to some extent agree that crypto currencies are the future, not fiat money (though replacing will only happen after decades and once everyone accepts it and a suitable currency is found. Will it be a decentralized currency? I don't think so)
I highly doubt everything like platforms and institution will become decentralized. Becoming decentralized means trusting them blindly. Again, not going to lie, scammers will take this opportunity to scam the naive people.
2999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal mass adoption on: July 23, 2020, 07:12:35 PM
A man in California has agreed to plead guilty to operating an illegal bitcoin ATM network that exchanged up to $25 million, according to a U.S. Department of Justice announcement on Wednesday.

Kais Mohammad, 36, who goes by the digital moniker  “Superman29,” was charged in the United States District Court on three counts: for operating an unlicensed money exchange business, for money laundering and for not being able to maintain an effective anti-money laundering program.

He purchased Bitcoin ATM-type kiosks which were placed in malls, gas stations and convenience stores in several California counties. These kiosks allowed customers to buy and sell Bitcoin in exchange for cash. Mohammad supplied the machines with cash that customers could withdraw and maintained the server software to keep the kiosks running

----

We live in amazing times. To be honest, this is the first time I've heard about illegal Bitcoin ATMs. Now Muhammad can get 30 years in prison for illegal mass adoption.

I wonder what will happen to ATMs and what is their number, I hope the state will appropriate it and allow people to use them with reduced commissions.  Grin
I don't see anything wrong over here. That dude was operating an exchange without a license. He would have gotten it if he has applied for it. Not sure why he didn't. Maybe he probably wasn't aware? Or he was aware and was up to something.
I hope he gets a proper justice if he is wasn't aware and has no ill intention. But, if he does had some ill intentions, he is going to get screwed under the money laundering law.
3000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 23, 2020, 06:43:47 PM
In corona Pandemic, I have no job to earn. So I am joining several campaigns from bitcointalk?

What are you doing now?
You can only join one signature campaign over here. If you are talking about the bounty campaigns, think about it twice. Highly likely you won'y be making anything from those campaigns and will be wasting time. Even if you make something, those will be dust amount.
Have though about doing something else online? Do you have any specific skills that you can sell? Maybe you should try doing that and earn better.
