So guys...If I ordered a BFL Mini Rig SC today, when can I expect it to reach my house (SE Asia) ?
2983  Other / Off-topic / Re: Already delays in BFL shipment plans? on: November 21, 2012, 05:37:29 AM
Unfortunately a great deal of the crap comes from the BFL employees themselves. Case in point...there are no batches save the first batch.

And that they were to ship in October.

Or wait, November.

I mean December.

Promise.

BFL support said Oct in my first order.
Then it was Nov when I sent an update email and now the shipping date is Dec ?

Gee, will we ever get it before Christmas?
2984  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Set-up to run up to 25 ASIC units on: November 21, 2012, 05:35:20 AM
So I'm trying to get my mind around what the best set-up would be for up to 25 ASIC units. Either the BFL SC singles or bASIC.

What about USB bandwith ? Can you use a couple high quality usb hubs or will they have bandwith issues ?

Bandwidth has less to do with it......., since actual bandwidth is quite small, the REAL issue is the protocol.
In another post I'd recommended that the  Chinese ASIC system could potentially scale better, since they have opted to include WIFI/Ethernet.

So only Avalon units have WIFI/Ethernet ? and BFL + bASICs have USB ports ?
I should have checked this out before I got a 8 port switch the other day.
Now I need to buy 1 or 2 powered USB hubs.
2985  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BTCFPGA bASICs "ready to ship" on: November 20, 2012, 11:08:39 PM
Having our orders Ready To Ship will save a lot of time for the ship team.  If we had waited until product was in the shop, sorting out all the orders, payments, free & paid upgrades, shipping upgrades and special customer requests would have brought our process to a standstill.  Mine and Tom's intention was to get everything staged as far as possible so we don't fall down at the goal line.
We'll have boxes & bubble wrap, shipping labels and everything ready so the units could literally be packaged while still warm.

Getting these bASICs out to customers on time will require a lot more than just having the product in hand...

I got them Ready To Ship emails too....Let's hope I get my 8 bASICs before christmas.

2.9.3 works fine for me in Win7 but when I get into the settings area, there's a 2 second lag. Weird. Older versions did not have this weird lag.

I have seen the pictures and the set up is pretty good!

I've seen it too and it looks awesome. Wonder how much heat does it generate.
2990  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Discussion thread (no advertising here) on: November 11, 2012, 02:21:36 PM
I thought about the plan to support ASIC deposits and Pyramining in general. Instead of just giving a bigger starting bonus to ASIC deposits or create my accounts under random existing accounts, I am planning to do the following:

For accounts that have a sum of ASIC deposits of at least 10 BTC, deposited before 30th November 2012, I will create an account using them as sponsor and deposit 50% of the ASIC deposits amount in it, up to a total of at least 2000 BTC (coming from my personal funds). If the total amount to deposit will be bigger than 2000 BTC, deposits will be scaled down proportionally.

The budget of 2000 BTC is guaranteed, but it may increase.

This opportunity is valid also for existing deposits.

I set a threshold to 10 BTC because it would take a lot of time to create accounts and deposit 0.005 BTC for hundred deposits of 0.01 BTC. :-) I hope you also agree that it's reasonable.

If you already deposited under 10 BTC and you want to take this opportunity, you can make another deposit on the same account in  order to reach a total of at least 10 BTC.

Advantages:
- Overall hashing power is increased, old FPGA accounts will not be a "burden", to the advantage of everyone.
- ASIC early adopters will get 5% bonus increase for my referral / deposit.
- ASIC early adopters will have a faster ROI (speedup due to 15% of my mined BTC going to the sponsor).
- I will get this investment back together with you.

Great idea. I'm going to open my 4th account at your site and add at least 10 BTC to the ASIC pre-order. That's my support for you.
2991  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Set-up to run up to 25 ASIC units on: November 11, 2012, 05:27:15 AM
I've run more than 144 on Linux via a netbook... (162 to be exact).  It started getting a little flakey after that, but there were other factors that probably contributed.  I think as long as your computer has more than 1 USB controller, you can put quite a few on one box.

162 BFL SC singles. wow.  Shocked

2993  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Bitcoin List needs YOU ... and is willing to pay! on: November 08, 2012, 04:03:08 AM
My bitcoin directory site is getting a fair number of daily page views but no reviews. So, for a limited time, I'll be rewarding the five best reviews per day with 0.02 BTC each. I will be the sole judge and I will be using only my personal opinion as a basis for deciding which are "best". If there are less than five reviews submitted in a day, the total 0.10 BTC will be divided equally among them.

Please try and be as descriptive as possible when rating a site and include your BTC address for payment.

If you own or can suggest sites that aren't listed yet, I'll be happy to include them if you'll submit them via the contact form. If a site is offline or inactive, submit that fact as a review and you'll be considered for one of the daily prizes.

You may submit as many reviews on as many listings as you like, but if I feel like they're spam or just noise, they won't be approved.

The Bitcoin List

lovely idea. I wanted to start a similar directory for the Asia market.
