2982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripples/XRP - I'd like to buy yours! [1 BTC per 15,000 XRP] on: May 20, 2013, 05:11:47 AM
Replied, is it true that you can't send the last 200 XRP?? I'm pretty sure I remember reading that, I only have 20k in the wallet.

I cant send the last 100 XRP
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] WDC/LTC Google Docs Exchange {New} on: May 20, 2013, 12:06:58 AM
please give me credit, ie insert my name for design as you see it, and put my WDC address in as

Wkpv66iKs7942PFYNGviB4TmFfv1P1GPmu

When I receive some WDCs -I haven't any yet- I will send you.

I'm figuring out where to put your ref.

Thanks.

ok no worries, I am happy for people to use it as long as they at least leave my name in there as original designer!

Hi, that's my design!!!

see

You can use it, but
please give me credit, ie insert my name for design as you see it, and put my WDC address in as

Wkpv66iKs7942PFYNGviB4TmFfv1P1GPmu

I created a nice Google Docs exchange with some stats, graphics, scammers list and direct links to users (verify your user link).

Only post offers in this thread. Post the amount of WDC you are wanting to buy or sell, and the rate you are buying or selling at.

For example:
WTB 10000 WDC @ 5 LTC per 1k
WTS 25000 WDC @ 7 LTC per 1k

Remember to post successful trades so I can update the spreadsheet.

An escrow service is available and I shall charge no fees by now. Please PM first. Addresses in the spreadsheet.

If you have scammers to add please post here with some sort of proof.  I do not take responsibility if you get scammed by someone that wasn't  added on the list.

Liked my service? Please Tip to
WDC: WbHhaW5bEL3EGPcDGcfEfLDx3gE4Zw7qPS or LTC: LctcQqAK26kZUHq1AWmQsR8BwgahT9QAVg
Don't send any coins here for escrow transactions.

Enjoy trading !

2987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is XRP up so much, was 80K per btc now 6.5K per BTC on: May 19, 2013, 02:32:59 PM
I don't have any ideas on the why, but damn, I need to figure out how to sell off some of mine.

2988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / why is XRP up so much, was 80K per btc now 6.5K per BTC on: May 19, 2013, 11:40:44 AM
I have noticed XRP acts like magnified fiat against BTC......usually but lately, it just keep going up.....

now 6.5K per BTC with no end in sight!!!

what gives???

any analysis on this from speculation???
2989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the long drawn out crash/crash I want my cheap BTC on: May 19, 2013, 11:38:19 AM
I still believe double digits is coming.  $70 may be realistic at some point.  I don't buy the "Bitcoin is stable" argument for one second.  Now, I have held the view that we'd retest our lows at 50-60 but our low might be higher than that now.  Bad news is, $2 is never happening and if it does, it's because BTC is about to die.  The single digit coin ship has certainly sailed.

yeah your right it's a dream 100 is the new 10!
2990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-coin creation tutorial on: May 19, 2013, 10:53:18 AM
i could do, but i was unable to compile a client never. always always always something is broken/missing. The rest i could do.

i just hate when people use libraries in his code and they don't add a copy of the sources used, version number or something...  u need to investigate what the f*** he used.
And no, not everybody uses boost, i dont see useful having million of random classes in random/kaos design ways, and not general aim. Less, when u are using Qt already.

this is exactly my problem!!!

2991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-coin creation tutorial on: May 19, 2013, 10:52:14 AM
I compile it fine on Ubuntu  Cheesy
Guys!
I'm writing your Script, it will be a PHP script.
Release in 48h  Grin
Prepare you to see 10 new alt-coins/day!

will this give windows exe?
2992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] Bounty PROPOSAL, ALT GUI COIN MAKER on: May 19, 2013, 07:53:59 AM
I propose that GUI.exe/Installer be made that allows
the creation of everything needed to select main parameters down load libraries and compile.

choices should include
Number of coins
block time
re-target
etc etc

This will either be the making of alts or their finish so should appeal to everybody!!!!

It will act as escrow and the amount will grow until someone does it (or not).

I will edit this as more comes to mind, and include everyone's input
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt-coin creation tutorial on: May 19, 2013, 07:37:51 AM
actually would be better a script.

Imagine, "double click" to:
1 - download/upgrade compilers libraries
2 - fork a coin
3 - change the code
4 - commit to the fork
5 - login on bitcointalk and publish a new thread with ANN and the ultra new coin skills (optional)
6 - premine (optional)
7 - upload the binary
8 - (if 7 skipped) set a list of computers to be just ready to mine (optional)
9 - (if 5 and 6 skipped) new thread with ANN the text "no primined" on the list
10 - (if 6 skipped) mine, mine mine (optional)
11 - stay checking bter/btce to dump coins (optional)
exaclty this, there should be gui interface to start your own coin and select main parameters down load libaries (cross) compile,

in-fact If you want to start a bounty send to my BTC address and I will send all bounty to a working gui

this will either be the making of alts or their finish so should appeal to everybody

2994  Economy / Speculation / Where is the long drawn out crash/crash I want my cheap BTC on: May 19, 2013, 07:33:44 AM
hey shouldn't we be down at $70 or less by now...where are my cheap(er) BTC's and why no crash......go back to $2!!!!

2995  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Ripple™ is against everything Bitcoin on: May 19, 2013, 02:43:13 AM
ha i love it I asked for some support from ripple the reply

This sounds like a gateway issue?

so they sit there and deny any problems in their system and just blame it all on the gateway

genius
2996  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Ripple™ is against everything Bitcoin on: May 19, 2013, 02:39:47 AM
what i dont get about ripple is when some one doesn't want to pay up...then what, and they were your trusted gate way...

This is not a problem if the amounts you grant in trust aren't excessive (that is you can afford to lose them) and if you only grant trust to people you trust in the real world. Gateways are just special users that are trusted by many people, like banks. Well, not many people here might trust banks and I would argue they should trust gateways even less.

Within Ripple, whenever you trade anything besides XRP, you have counterpart risk and vice versa. This is because Ripple can only do bookkeeping, and the "official ledgers" for fiat currencies are not stored in the Ripple system. This would be an argument for using XRP. On the other hand, you don't have exchange rate risk if you are trading in fiat.

For fiat payments, Ripple is "just" a distributed system for keeping track of who owes what to whom.

For example, if A trusts B for $10 and B trusts C for $10, then C could pay A through B. C's balance with B would be decreased by $10, meaning that C now owes B $10 more than before, or B owes C $10 less than before. Simultaneously B's balance with A would also be decreased by $10.

Assuming all balances started at zero, A would now be owed $10 by B instead of by C, which is an improvement because he didn't trust C, but does trust B. Similarly, C now owes $10 to B, which is also an improvement, because C can now expect shipment of whatever goods he was promised because A does trust B. B's total balance hasn't changed, because previously he had two zero balances, whereas now he has one for +$10 with C and one for -$10 with A. For B this is not immediately an advantage, because he doesn't gain from the transaction but does have to do work for it. However, in practice you would expect B to be on either end of some transactions too, and then someone would return him the favour.

All three parties will want to settle the open amounts to take care of the credit risk. They could do so immediately, or they could wait a while until more transactions have passed through the network and have partially canceled out. This would mean less work.

I may be wrong, but then if the gate was shuts down, or the ultimate trsuted person in the chain or possibly anyone in the chain that I needed to ge to the gateway I am stuffed.....all over

it seems there would be a point where it would be more profitable for a gateway to shutdown, having lots o btc then trade, so there would be an (increasing?) economic insentive at some point to not not be a trusted gateway....and run away with my BTC. I realise I have he same risk with say gox or btce holding my BTC, but in Ripple is it the case I can have any number of small enties any of which would say, I out thanks for your BTC...!
2997  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Ripple™ is against everything Bitcoin on: May 18, 2013, 11:30:35 AM
what i dont get about ripple is when some one doesn't want to pay up...then what, and they were your trusted gate way...

am I understanding it correctly that you need to find another buyer for your XRP and thus need liquidity....but then the way I see it at the moment is you btc's/xrp's are only good with the issuer...eg bitstamp

this stuff makes your head spin!!!
2998  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLab suing MtGox for $75 milliion? on: May 17, 2013, 02:28:44 PM
you said

Quote
3) There is nothing saying Mt Gox didn't know about this as you claim. Just because it happened doesn't mean they didn't have lawyers in a courtroom in Maryland arguing against it.

Quote
It was crystal clear that Gox had no idea what was going on at the time you made this statement, Its called basic research, I did it, you just went oh GOX had lawyers there.

Quote
I'm confused - are you trying to be an obvious troll now? If you're going to make up something I didn't say don't claim it is in the part you just quoted when it clearly does not say "mtgox had lawyers in court" anywhere in the quote.
your confused yes, you wrote
"There is nothing saying Mt Gox didn't know about this as you claim. Just because it happened doesn't mean they didn't have lawyers in a courtroom in Maryland arguing against it."

Quote
Further you don't appear to understand the separation of powers doctrine. The Govt is as private person or commercial entity in-front of the court when it comes to seizure of funds, freezing accounts.

That's got nothing to do with separation of powers. Ok at this point, you probably need to get a formal legal education, or refresher if you have had one. Separation of powers has nothing to do with the executive having more ways to bring an action vs a private person. It is to do with the judicial arm being separate to the the executive and parliament.

Quote
Alright my confusion is clearing up - so you ARE just being a troll, right? I *really* hope you aren't a lawyer. Separation of powers doesn't have any bearing here.
your argument devolves into ad hominem, re -read what you though separation of powers was as against what it is.

The govt has to stand in line for property like anyone else or compensate: check your Constitution

for example

the 5th

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.[1]

see those last words without just compensation.[1]

My money held that is owed to anyone else eg your money held in say GOX's account and that bank and that account is seized by gov, for your part you are entitled to just compensation from the GOV for them taking your property.

Quote
  - well I guess the DHS will be pissed when gox's lawyers show up in court and say "hey guys this law is unconstitutional kthxbai".

See the part where it says "nor shall any person ... be deprived of ... life, liberty, or property, without due process of law"? Do you know what that means? I guess the government can't throw people in jail either, right? Wrong. That's exactly what the "due process of law" part means. This order follows the due process of law - legislative branch made the law, executive sent out the DHS agents to ensure compliance and now the judicial branch is hearing it. There's your "separation of powers" lol. In any event the US can certainly make a law that says that if you break a law the property used in that lawbreaking is forfeit to the US Government and that's what happened here.

The part about "just compensation" is a restriction on the government's power to exercise eminent domain which is a direct "taking" and different from the case at hand.

Anyways if you seriously think the US government has NO power to seize funds (and can only "buy" them for fair market price) you'll be in for a rude awakening if it ever happens to you.

[/quote]
due process is an additional and separate requirement imposed by 5, the in read AND  nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation, is another separate condition.

Do you see the ";" followed by nor

sure the govt can take private property, but not without just compensation.

anyhow in addition to taking some formal legal education, I recommend basic reading/comprehension, and attetnion to detial.

also the executive Gov does not throw anyone in "jail" they have no authority to. At most they can hold a person on remand, but must take that person before a judge / magistrate or judicial officer within a very short time frame, and then the Judge decides on bail/jail/imprisonment to trial. Again you appear to have no grasp of how the judicial, executive and legislative arms or government work, or a person rights in respect of them.

You probably don't even know what the term executive Govt means.

as I said before, please continue your have leveled up (down) to shooting fish in a barrel stage.

ok...but can I send this BTC to bitstamp or similar to actually send it to my private wallet

No.

Ripple BTC are just IOUs and cannot necessarily be redeemed for the actual specie.

For instance, you cannot send them to bitstamp and receive real
bitcoins in your bitstamp account.   I tried it with TF's IOUs and
it was not possible.

ok...so then these are non withdrawable btc's

does this give TF access to your XRP?
