Thanks for the interest and insightful comments. This is not a 1 to 1 exact replica of my personal portfolio, but it comes close enough as I hold considerable positions in all of the names mentioned. We can go over each of the selections if you would like to find out more. I also manage assets professionally for external clients, and if an investor came to me with a fresh 10k USD, I would be very comfortable allocating it exactly in the manner presented above, and holding it for at least a month starting from yesterday. I agree Bitcoin will also rally, but I believe several select altcoins are poised to make more exponential gains in comparison;
when making adjustments to the portfolio I usually trade into BTC, so BTC will also be included if it accumulates to a significant amount from trades related to this basket.

Initially I was drawn into Crypto Currency trading because of the spectacular amount of market and business activity surrounding them.
Volatility across all traditional asset classes had dried up, especially many commodities were at historical lows in terms of trader interest,
and the reason was rightfully this new budding asset class that shook the foundations of all financial activity and started the Crypto Revolution.

If I were to enter into cryptocurrency trading today, my portfolio would look like this: I've been trading some of these names for quite a while, but for holding I try to keep a 20% balance between each of the 5 (+1) coins mentioned below: 1) NEO (20%) 2) KMD (20 %) 3) PCL (Peculium, new entry, 20%) 4) MTC (Docademic, new entry, 20%) 5) ETH + ZEC (10+10= 20%) A public link to this portfolio can also be found at https://www.cryptocompare.com/portfolio-public/?id=402520. Cardano is doing many things right, and Charles Hoskinson is a peerless asset in the Crypto space that's for sure. $ADA might become world leader in a number of
technologies and functionalities like PoS, the development team is really producing cutting edge stuff regularly. Having said that, the team doesn't seem to be particularly focused
on short term price gains, and the Market Cap is already considerably high enough to satisfy all their financial needs, so Cardano is better suited as a long term investment.

If that is your opinion you can go and short Bitcoin right now by selling BTC futures. I wouldn't advise it though, your account would get wiped in less than a month.
If Bitcoin ever drops and stays around sub-1000 levels, it would only mean that another top Crypto Currency contender like BCH has overtaken it as the number 1.

Not all altcoins are down. Some have held stable or even gained on BTC because of maintaining their USD value. If for any reason BTC cannot recover or is superceded by one of

Thanks for the interesting Steem article BitProNews, QKC and similar esoteric Asian ICO's certainly merit deeper scrutiny.
One thing I can almost guarantee is that 5 million USD price to get listed on Binance is also waived or negotiated conditionally for these guys. CZ is not exactly the most ethical
player on the market either, his and his cronies' comically biased overhyped propaganda of Binance paints an unrealistic picture as well...

Quarkchain is being compared to Ziliqa, but not in a positive way and more as a warning flag. QKC seems to have copied sharding from Ziliqa after the latter's tremendous success,
and some people already consider it as a possible scam by an unknown team because they listed on multiple exchanges on very low supply of their coin, in a probable attempt
to pump up the prices fast to then offload the remaining coins at exponentially greater value than ICO prices... So be careful about QKC until the team prove themselves as
strong professionals and start to deliver on their outlandish promises (especially regarding the astronomical number of transactions / second)
