2981  Economy / Economics / Re: Good economic news from the US, EU and China! on: January 09, 2023, 08:49:51 PM

There is also good news coming from China, where the restrictive COVID measures have been eased suddenly, which means that their economy could begin to grow rapidly with the news that the Chinese central bank is announcing support for the domestic economy.

Each piece of news may not mean much, but if we look at the bigger picture, the conditions are created for the world economy to begin to recover. Of course, this entire recovery is still in the shadow of the war in Ukraine, but somehow it seems to me that this war will end this year, either with the victory of Ukraine, which is getting stronger militarily every day, or with the withdrawal of Russia from the occupied territories.

These two paragraphs carry two vital message that I carry from your information. My question is do we think covid-19 pandemic was the part of the major reason that the world economy is struggling and some countries are nearing recession or that the Russian Ukraine war is the major reason and in my own view I think covid-19 was the major cause because it caused or forced many countries to go out of production, it is global and its effects are so excruciating. The war in Ukraine is not directly affecting some continent like it happened with covid-19 , so it is a good news if China is now easing out covid-19 restrictive measures this can help full production to commence. One of the biggest obstacle to inflation to inflation is production.
2982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: January 09, 2023, 06:19:11 PM

  • Over/Under bets:  The over/under bet forecasts the total score of both teams, but also the number of points scored in a half. Players select if the final score will be over or under the offered average. For example under 1.5  or over 2.5

This option of bet is usually for football and bettors on it believe that it is more easier to grab or win rather than going straight on 1 or 2 that is home win or away win. The numbers of goals scored in a match will look easier by judging by mere speculation but in actual sense of it, it is not also easy to win and in fact no betting option is a push away or easy to win. At times even under 0.5 first half can bring lose to your collection of bet or 1.5. It is just the luck you have that can carry you on your bet.
2983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 09, 2023, 02:37:25 PM

If you're not use martingale strategy, so superstitious strategy could happen, but you're only gamble for one day, you need to repeat for at least 100 days to know the chance.

This is not to say that you really have to try a strategy that long or multiple times to 100 days before knowing what result you are getting. A losing strategy consistently give you loses except for few times so all you need is to drop it and try another likewise for a winning strategy. Is not necessary to play for 100 days just to look for result.
2984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Gambling Slang and Terms that Beginners Should be Aware of on: January 08, 2023, 03:37:23 PM
I have come across some of those terms but it was not really easy to understand at that time as a newbie especially the first half bet or half time bet that are from soccer. Soccer has more of these terms more as options that you can bet in which some popular ones are 0ver 0.5, 1.5, 2.5,. These is a bet to determine the numbers of goals to be scored depending on the time of the match that they were scored. X, 1, 2, 1x, 2x etc also is for the bet to determine who will win or draw. These are the few popular ones in the game of soccer but there are more of them.
2985  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: January 08, 2023, 01:13:13 PM

Those who are mainly dependent on trade are now on the verge of destitution.

Trading is not for everyone so people finding it difficult and becoming destitute should stop and try another business, hodling is more secured to trading.

Before 2022, it seems that trading has not suffered so much loss2022 is a cursed year for traders.

Not cursed for every one. The year is not to favour everyone but those who are able to find what business that is important for the year. Discover what is the market relevance and invest into it don't invest in project that won't be productive in the year. So some people invested rightly last year while some had bad investment.
2986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 08, 2023, 09:58:07 AM
To be lucky is not about your gambling strategy because you were also having such strategy while losing, so they are both different things. Winning should tell you that luck is on your side and so I would prefer to continue playing when I'm winning and the superstition is that when you start losing, luck probably have left you. I think these are the possibilities in gambling but to have is not a probability based on strategy.
2987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Luck Was Measured In Percentage, Rate Your Luck In 2022 From 0-100 on: January 06, 2023, 09:05:36 PM
It was a year of low key with gambling because previous 2 years wasn't really profitable with betting so I decided to take it cool to strategize. Therefore, I didn't make much on betting and didn't spend much on it. This year is still fresh and needs more analysis of the games to know the decision to take. My favourite area to bet is soccer , so I will have to watch more football clubs to be informed so this will also in soccer knowledge and transfers for this year.
2988  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to remember for the year 2023 on: January 06, 2023, 07:57:08 PM
Thanks for these tips! Another one I would like to add is patience. We need this more than ever. Do not make any hasty decisions and do not run after any “attractive” schemes. Stay alert and keep holding.

Yes patients is a virtual and important to adopt for the year because some people may think that they didn't achieve their purpose for last year and want to do sorts of illegal business to meet up but this is not the way so that to avoid getting into trouble with government or other people. We need to take precautions on certain things we want to do this year, no haste in life, take your time and move in the paste you can and have strength.
2989  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you ready to spend crypto when market is down on: January 06, 2023, 04:24:43 PM

People's mindset toward spending their crypto in a downtrend is not profitable. I don't know why we are always talking about profit. But in this kind of season, most people tend to sell their altcoins if they need to, and if not, they will be on hold. We should always be ready to sell because we don't know what will happen to the altcoin if we don't (like if there are big news coming), but in bitcoin, I say no matter what the market status is, as long as I don't have any profit or I don't need the money, I will still keep holding.

Some coins are really shit that the bear time becomes the end of them so for this reason , it is not wrong to dump them during the bear season so that you don't lose all. Waiting for recovery for shit projects takes time not quantifiable but for bitcoin you are right, no matter the drop in the price of bitcoin it will still rise. Bitcoin has a history from the beginning and in when it dropped to $3,500, it rose back to a new and current ATH.
2990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 06, 2023, 02:18:57 PM

And my personal assumptions is that, US, being the world power probably does not want their territories to be over populated with immigrants, this could be the reason for the so strict requirements and documentation process to enter the country.

Your assumption may not be false but they have to be ready for more people that will troop in into the state in guise of coming to watch the next world cup. USA is a cherish country desirable by many to live in, so they have to expect that to happen. Among the three countries hosting the game, USA is hosting more of the games and that means more immigration of people to USA than Mexico and Canada.
2991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the perfect indicator for long term investors on: January 05, 2023, 09:58:35 PM
This thread is suppose to be finding it way to trading discussion because of the things discussed in the thread. Indicator is the tool of a trader because hodlers are not professional traders and may not be analyzing indicators. . So you need a thread where you have people ready to discuss the indicators and help you to a solution.
2992  Economy / Economics / Re: How do cryptocurrencies affect Global Economy? on: January 05, 2023, 07:52:19 PM
I don't think there is any impact that CBDC does to cryptocurrency. Moreover Venezuela or China are not the only country that has adopted it but no impact felt in global market because of it, at least no report so far by no one to the effect as said that CBDC is responsible for decline or push to the price. Nigeria is also one of the countries that have adopted or created digital currency and I think that creation was for the purpose of pushing the local currency as digital and nothing more because no positive effect so far to the Nigerian economy or the support for CBDC contributed to rise in global economy .
2993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet is chess matches? on: January 05, 2023, 06:34:49 PM
As a chess admirer , I would prefer this sport to be outside of betting because Chess was not meant to be for betting.

Chess is a game and any game can be used as bet since it involves different party or persons involved in it and competing to win against the other person for price or position. So it won't be taking outside of betting. I foresee a time that this will be added in the betting option like the popular games we know.
2994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet is chess matches? on: January 05, 2023, 03:45:36 PM
It is not strange to bet in such. I think it can be referred to as table game and I have seen different neighbors who do such betting, I mean off line betting. Some schools organise such as the end of year curricular activities where students are levied/ contribute finance for the end of the year party and they enter for any of the games including chess to compete with each other or one another as the case may be. To compete is of course a kind of gambling because there is something at stake and the price won by the winner is to show better performance. So chess gambling is not strange and people will find it easy to also bet on line and it will involve different options with the king, Queen etc.
2995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: January 05, 2023, 02:56:20 PM

Besides that, cashless payments are only beneficial in online gambling, what about physical gambling or land-based casinos? Is it still cashless that they want to implement here?

Cashless gambling is already implemented in both online casino and land based. For a longtime now, we have had some gamblers playing right from their bank account for the land based casinos at least the past 5 years have witnessed this. For the land based casinos in Nigeria, you can open your account through the game house and fund it by yourself and you can bet on line where deductions would be made from your account and also when you have winnings, it is credited into your account.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coin_trader slot experiment to determine my luck on: January 04, 2023, 08:23:27 PM

After completing the 14 days. I will make my casino account inactive for a month before I will play again then repeat the process.

I don't think being inactive was the reason you won the other time when you came back so don't think this is a come back strategy. You are just lucky to win but you could be thinking admin helped you to win so to retain you to continue playing, I don't think so. You won when it was luck for you to win and your winning stroke reduced because you are running out of luck.
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Factors that contribute to form addictive gambling. on: January 04, 2023, 07:43:33 PM

He attributed his huge loss to the ease of which he could easily withdraw cash because of the presence and ease of accessibility of ATM and POS machines and the free alcoholic drinks served which made him drunk and so excited to the point he emptied all his savings on gambling.
In comparison to live casinos, online casinos do not offer free drinks, but if one were to bet from the comfort of his/her zone, and had a fridge or cooler of chilled alcoholic drinks, it shouldn't be a yardstick to get drunk to the point of funding ones betting wallet all just to gamble at that instance of excitement. Also, if one can't get to control the amount of his/her alcoholic intake I don't think such a one can control the excitement that comes from gambling and shouldn't bet, make withdrawals or fund gambling wallets, while drunk.

This whole scene is funny and making me to laugh. I understand vividly what picture it is and this is particular of live casino and not online casino. They are probably doing a giveaway to customers who have patronised them in the last year but this is not an excuse to be drug and not be able to control oneself. The bettor will have no excuse not to pay up his debt because he took advantage of free drink to go into stupor.

What other factors do you know contribute to form addictive gambling?

Whatever will get an individual to act beyond there control can get him or her into addictive state. So drugs is a key factor to this effect.
2998  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2023, 09:58:10 PM
The expectation for this year is high that bitcoin will gain higher as it is a year before halving. The hype is on for bitcoin already and I think the new year is going to blow a fresh breeze on the price of bitcoin. Before the ending of the year, bitcoin was a little resistance to reach bottom and that has continued in the first week of the year, maybe it may be a stronger resistance against buttom that we can see bull at the end of it all.
2999  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does money bring you security ? on: January 03, 2023, 02:50:21 PM

insecurity and anxiety take control of their life. Have you ever thought about this ? Please share your thoughts.

I understand this topic to be security of life and property. I think money doesn't really protect the rich because they become target to armed robbery, gun men or kidnappers who run after them for attack. Although they can use their money to acquire some measure of security for themselves but they live in apprehension and subsceptible to high blood pressure because they keep thinking of how to secure themselves and families. They can afford to fly but they won't live perpetually on the plane unlike ordinary people who move around freely.
3000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 03, 2023, 02:27:11 PM

Most people are not satisfied with their lives and they need some sort of hope for the future to keep going and to prevent themselves from turning into crime, falling into depression etc. However messed-up your life might be, there's still hope that buying a cheap lottery ticket could potentially turn you into a millionaire (or even a billionaire) overnight. That's a powerful tool.

And what do you think will happen if already depressed or near depressed person pays a lottery ticket with high hope of winning and it turns out to be a failure? Lottery is same as gambling, it has no difference but just a type of gambling. As always the advise is not to put money that you can't bear the loss because when playing a lucky game you should know that you can lose all or you win and smile.
