301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 17, 2024, 02:59:53 PM
and it is also important to note that the cryptocurrency you are choosing isn't extremely volatile at the moment of your payment because in case it drops significantly in value, you will lose money which isn't what you would want.
I guess that is where it gets tricky because salaries come in regular intervals and you are not the one who decide when it will be given to you. It is all based on a contract which you cannot really change unless you ask for an advance but I don’t think you can ask that your employer hold on to your salary for awhile until the coin get in on a good position. It’s difficult almost impossible to accurately estimate or predict the price movement of a coin.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is it right to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 17, 2024, 02:39:37 PM
Definitely, investment must be made with spare cash otherwise you will run into problem.

Better yet, you can set aside a percent of your money just for investment solely. Earn and really try to work towards your goal instead of only investing the bare minimum. If you can go buy more then why not?

Don’t just put scraps or leftovers towards bitcoin as it deserves more than that. It is a valuable asset that could potentially make you a millionaire
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana might be next leading, after Ether & bnb. on: May 17, 2024, 02:12:42 PM
The reason why many people are responding with meme projects on the Solana network is because of the huge profit potential. I never tried to buy meme projects from the solana network at the beginning of the release but my friend said it was easier to buy meme coins on the solana network than ethereum although I don't know if it's true or not.

But as far as I know Solana is more stable than ethereum. The Solana network has better transaction speeds and the most important thing is very cheap gas fees. This is what makes many developers now switch to the Solana network.
I don’t know if this is for the better or for the worse for Solana.

On one hand, the amount of tokens built on its blockchain definitely helps to i crease demand. Not only developers but investors mainly will be highly interested on the other hand this could lead to some scalability issues which I believe we might start seeing soon in Solana. I just hope the developers fix some of those issues even before it’s big.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs coming to China? on: May 17, 2024, 01:36:48 PM
I am in belief before that it was entirely Hong Kong's own decision to do these Bitcoin ETFs and despite that they're a SAR of China, they can make their own decisions. But anyway, that's how the connection goes of theirs to China and they're still being held on her neck by the CCP. This is going to break the random policies that they're having towards Bitcoin and mining that we used to hear and read in the news about them banning both things. Well, wherever money is, therefore they'd go as well just as the BTC spot ETFs.
We all know how notorious China is for wanting to control their citizens in all kinds of aspects. Their internet access is literally restricted so we should not be surprised that they do not want their citizens to be participating in a currency that does not allow them, the government, to interfere with anything crypto-related.

I am just glad that chinese citizens have the option still to participate in crypto in Hong Kong and a lot freer than most countries may I even add.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: May 17, 2024, 12:57:56 PM
I wonder when i heard about that. But I didn't feel safe to keep Money anywhere except banks, but if banks start shutting down then don't know who will give the assurance of return. But Op, Exchange suppose to be more dangerous than Silicon Valley Bank lol. Its hard to believe such new individual organization or I don't have any idea about such thing. Crypto wallets still aren't safe. You have options to invest in asset or somewhere esle but you know what? Sometime you don't have any option rather than trust banks in your country for security. And of course not every banks are going to shut down
Both banks and cryptocurrency exchanges have difference in security depending on which ones you choose. Some just prefer to use crypto exchanges, doesn’t matter if centralized or decentralized, as it is not directly linked to the government among other things.

Some also think that fees, insurances, loans and those kind of things are not reasonable when it comes to banks so they prefer crypto exchanges.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When investing in Bitcoin: what to consider? on: May 17, 2024, 12:51:48 PM
Just remember that bitcoin is so decentralized that no country can control it, no matter how powerful they are; the only thing they can do is interfere in their country. Why? due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

No matter what other countries say today that is against Bitcoin that it is not a currency, with the value that Bitcoin has in the market today, do you think it has value or not? Even institutional investors in other countries are clamoring to save or invest here; if it has no value or no currency, do you think they will allocate millions of dollars just to buy Bitcoin? You think you op?
It is a new time where traditional money is not the only money that exists in the world. We live in digital age and so shall a lot of people expect that many things are going to start becoming more digitalized. Soon the government will realize how blockchains can actually change our world for the better.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 12:00:18 PM
That's the bad side of online gambling, you can't really control the users you get, even with the under 18 rule, teenagers can just lie and still get access to gambleing features, I think they have to get more strict and find better ways to keep teenagers off gambling sites, maybe by taking some birth certificate as part of their kyc verification, I think that would reduce the amount if teenagers in online casino.
what I do believe is that why do gambling site really cares about who will gamble when they are targeting as many depositors and players they may get?that 18 and up rules is just written but they don't wanted to strictly implement that and will let those youngster lied in their details because they will only face the problem once you won and need to withdraw lol.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tank Davis Vs Frank Martin WBA Lightweight Title June 22 HoustonTexas on: May 17, 2024, 11:19:08 AM
The thread was created on April 6, however, this is only 2 pages hehehe. This scammer Tank has not much fans. This implies that it was Ryan Garcia that brought more than 80% of the fans to watch his fight vs. Tank. I reckon if Tank does not begin showing knockouts before round 5, he might begin losing his fans. This is only my speculation, everyone can argue and disagree but the number of pages of this thread proves what I said heheheh.
This is what we expect if fans is not that interested in the coming fight as we can consider now that boxing fans is starting to lose their interest instead they are turning into other sports because of issues coming from this sport being corrupt and yeah there are some  interesting boxer now but  not as famous as how those famous boxers brings in the past.
309  Other / Off-topic / Re: Human temperance on: May 17, 2024, 11:05:19 AM

310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: May 16, 2024, 09:29:26 AM
You can surely invest in new project but first you must go deep through its concept, team behind it, progress made etc. Any new project is not bad/scam if team behind it are legit/hardworking but they might not be  good as well too. So doing own research in needed before investing so we can grab nice profits from it.
Mostly, the new projects have hard working teams and that's why you can't find them out to be a scam in the beginning. But in the long run, there can be change of their ways and from there, you'll be able to spot them out if they turn out as a scam. There will be signs and red flags that you might notice but it might be too late for you to spot them when you have already invested heavily because you'll have the feeling that you won't be getting out of it especially if you're still in losses and trying to recover, so cutting losses will be hard for you as it becomes a hard pill to swallow.
Most scammers have now turned patient and intelligent.

They are willing to lure you in with so much promises and make you think that everything is going well before they drop the bomb on you. Sometimes you need to consider why things seem too good to be true because they in fact might be not real at all. Even too impressive performance can be a red flag too so watch out for those and make sure the team is exhibiting realistic performance.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest in new project? on: May 16, 2024, 09:14:07 AM
I still remember back when the ICO was still a hype there was once a platform like this but I have forgotten the name of the project. I think a platform like this will be difficult to develop because it lacks interest in real life. You better be careful in choosing a new project, research before investing, choose a project that really contributes to its users.
Before making presale investment in the market, it is necessary to invest in new projects after verification because these new projects in most cases disappear from the market without collecting funds from users and getting listed on the exchange. Moreover, investors must be careful before investing in new listed projects, especially Memecoins. If you invest in new projects, I think it is better not to hold that investment for a long time.
yes that is what we need to look at and how important to deeply check each project first because its hard to claim our funds once you gone into wrong project because in most cases the project starts dumping in such short period .
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to Invest in on: May 16, 2024, 09:03:44 AM
If need assurance for you investments, Id rather recommend saving bitcoins and ethereum because it's to crucial with altcoins due to most of them turns zero value if the project fails.
Remembering the days of ico, frustrations was really a nightmare waking up one day seeing your holdings drowned below $0.1 in which making me hard to recover my huge capital.
There are tons of victims from ICO days and I hate to  understand why there are so many extensive victims from this field and not only ICO but IEO as well.

There are many currencies in the altcoin market to invest in but choosing the right one is important. Without suitable currency, it will never be possible to get profit in investment. I would choose Ethereum to invest in. The market is at the top of the altcoins and has a huge upside potential. Other coins are not as reliable as Ethereum.
well Ethereum is a good asset here , the best choice to invest from the altcoins aside from bitcoin I love to count as Ethereum to be as my main currency to invest with.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your top mistakes in crypto - learning from others experiences! on: May 16, 2024, 08:48:46 AM
My experience on this is when holding shitcoins one must be always updated and monitored since one missed opportunity will lead us to hold worthless tokens.  I have a stash of 3k shit token that were priced at most $20 each during the token's hype but failed to sell them because I failed to monitor the market and did not sell when the price was profitable and later the shit token become worthless because it was abandoned by the developer wich makes me end up holding worthless token.
I think that is certainly one of the worse things that could happen to an investor. Especially if you truly believed in the potential of the project and you ended up buying way too much than necessary because you wanted to earn as much as you can.

This is probably one of the reasons why a lot of investors are hesitant and do not want to risk in new altcoins. They are better investing in top coins like bitcoin and ethereum. They are volatile but I think there is more time for you to be able to pull out your funds once they start dipping.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling losses are traps to new game on: May 16, 2024, 08:46:22 AM
When I had meet my friends last Sunday,We had discussed about this topic. We are friends based on our gambling interest and all of us are the gamblers.I had already mentioned about my friend who loss 2k in this below thread also take part in our meeting.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5493038.0

In that all you tackled in the topic with your friends ? the part below is what take my attention because it seems that your friend is truly desperate in taking back his losses and i believe that chasing losses is the stupidest thing that we must achieve.

Now he had decided to start the gambling again with the loan money to balance the previous loss of 2000$.What is your opinion on this,I had suggested him to go to the regular job to reduce the loan in step by step to reduce the loan burden. But he had word of “We can earn,Where we had loss everything “.Share your opinion on this.
try not to let him do such mate , because for sure he will be in vain if he continues to act like this in gambling world.
315  Other / Off-topic / Re: Housing market on: May 16, 2024, 08:39:27 AM
Can we assume that there will be a zero interest rate policy again in the future? I am 19 years old, am doing my IT training and would like to invest in real estate afterwards, but the costs would otherwise be too high.
not sure if this will be valid for you to expect , what I do believe that it will take you some years of waiting and if this will take you another years  before that training and investing comes? surely zero interest will not be coming your way.
why not consider invest in crypto instead ? because in this place you are now and can find what are the best for your money and make profit.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is it right to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2024, 08:12:52 AM
The best time was yesterday.
No the best time to invest is today when you finally know about bitcoin and you have enough money to invest. Some people weren’t just ready yesterday however that should not discourage you still from investing. If you know about bitcoin today, you are capable yet you still did not do anything to invest then that is when you are making a mistake.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy is a failure if you are consistent with it on: May 16, 2024, 05:37:28 AM
I am absolutely supporting this because most comments says Martingale will only succeed if you have large capital to sustain the continuity of your bet but for me ? this will be effective once you understand how and when to stand up  the table because in gambling the longer you stay is the bigger chances of losing and this is based on my own experience over the years.
318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best game provider? on: May 16, 2024, 03:38:59 AM
Are you actually curious what we think is the best provider? You talking best slot provider? Best casino? Be more specific. You seem to be promoting different platforms with your posts, are you working for those platforms? Affiliated?

It would be better if these platforms you mention would purchase a copper membership here and make a proper announcement instead of you making a random post. A proper announcement and a few promotions might go a long way in bringing in actual players.
i think he is not curious but instead a promoter  , because that is what we can find in his account posts , there a re several links that he have shared in this forum but never that he comes back from those thread he started showing what kind of account is this and what is his motive , the Title of thread is misleading and just wanted to take our curiosity to click and read the thread.

Medyo nalito lang ako sa input na ito since di ko ito masyadong napapansin. Tama ba na kahit isang wallet address lang ang nakakareceive ng Bitcoin like signature campaign earnings ay katumbas ng 1 input per transaction?

As far as I know oo every received transaction is equivalent to 1 input.  Kaya hindi worth ang pagaccumulate ng dust transactions dahil maaaring mas malaki pa ang bayaran sa tx fee kesa sa naccumulate na Bitcoin dahil sa daming input transaction na involve.

Quote
Kung ganun pala sobrang laki ng fee kung sakali man na inipon mo yung sahod mo sa campaign ng isang taon tapos balak mo mag withdraw ngayong mataas ang Bitcoin at fee same. So ibig sabihin hindi talaga tayo nakakatipid sa fee kung every 4 weeks tayo mag withdraw compared sa weekly since multiplied sa number ng input yung fee?

Salamat sa new information kabayan.

320  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get rich on: May 15, 2024, 12:36:49 PM
Hi guys, I am 19 years old and know a lot about finance (ETFs, funds, crypto, stocks, commodities)
I have been Bitcoin swing trading for a year and I am still not profitable. I would like to be self-employed as an investor or trader after my IT education. Does trading really work in the long term to be profitable?
we are investors but we are still working because we knew that its hard to make money in very volatile market like this ,
and also getting rich is not that easy mate if you are not that knowledgeable about what investment area you are going to enter .
maybe you should focus working and also  when you are gaining then invest for long term.
