301  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where can you trade USD directly for BTC or Tether? on: September 05, 2017, 03:44:33 AM
Here is a link that shows where you can sell BCH:

https://coinsutra.com/sell-bitcoin-cash-exchanges/

I'm assuming that for some of them you'll be able to buy though you may have to look at the websites specifically.

Edit:

This list is even better. It show the trading volume of each exchange:

302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: September 05, 2017, 03:36:25 AM
Oh my goodness! I hope not, I'd lose a lot of money if this was the case. I don't think this is the end of Bitcoin, it is only the beginning. Bitcoin is only down 4% for the week so I don't see what the fuss is about. China banned ICOs, but that's just about it. Bitcoin is volatile so we can expect things to happen like drops of 10 to 20% in a day or even more. What really matters is the long term. The long term trend is up and I expect it to further continue that way.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: September 05, 2017, 03:31:51 AM
I think that altcoins usually reflect the price of Bitcoin. When Bitcoin is down then typically the altcoins are down. When Bitcoin is up then typically the altcoins are up. If Bitcoin collapses then all the altcoins will probably collapse as well. The only circumstance where I don't see this happening is if another cryptocurrency rises to the top and Bitcoin falls apart. That new cryptocurrency would act as the new benchmark for all the other cryptocurrencies. In this case, altcoins may be affected in the short term, but would continue on their way as if nothing happened.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost All Cryptocurrency have fallen on: September 04, 2017, 09:15:03 PM
The Chinese government banned ICOs. Naturally as a result, alt coins started dropping. People are fearful they won't be able to get their money out with the government cracking down.

For the next couple of days I think it will blow over and go back up, but only time will tell.

I am no longer a jr. member.

I have been promoted to member.

The spreadsheet should read member next to my name. Thank you.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of the Altcoins crashing, as bitcoin gaining strength??? on: September 04, 2017, 11:49:08 AM
With ICOs gone in China people will naturally stop being involved with altcoin trading. Since those people decide to stop trading they sell what they have. This brings down the price perhaps only a small amount, but others know this is going to happen and this creates a snowball affect where it goes down even steeper. Everyone then knows the end game where it goes down so then it becomes a race to sell. Honestly, if I was in China and I was an alt coin trader, I'd probably get out of my positions too. If you wait too long you might not be able to retrieve your money at all, because the Chinese government might get more strict and ride your ass more later.
307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price and financial crisis/downturn on: September 04, 2017, 09:31:19 AM
Well the 2008 crash happened because banks were being reckless with their money. Congress wouldn't let them leverage money (gamble with money they don't have.) This would probably increase the value of Bitcoin if anything. If people lose faith in banks then the alternative is bitcoin.

I can imagine many things that could hinder bitcoin growth and cause it to collapse. Government intervention could cause Bitcoin price to collapse rapidly. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Usability of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. on: September 04, 2017, 09:17:17 AM
something like that will have additional costs (fees) not less fees.
it is not possible to trust a third party like that.
and also we are using bitcoin because we want the option of not needing any third parties which means such businesses won't be so popular.

Bitcoin does use third parties to transfer coins whether it is an online wallet or an offline wallet. When you use something like blockchain.info or an electrum wallet, you are trusting that website to not run off with your money or that software to not be malicious.

Also, you are the first in the forum that I have seen that says the transaction fees aren't very high. I've heard of stories where the transaction fee goes way beyond $4 for sure.
309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I told my brothers and cousins about signature campaigns. on: September 04, 2017, 09:06:12 AM
You rip off your own brother? Man, you charge your family to use your computer?Huh

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I dont know what to say about this besides I miss communism!

I think you've misunderstood my post. No where does it say that I charge my family members to use my computer.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made my own Water/Fire-proof Metal Bitcoin Cold Storage, short guide. on: September 04, 2017, 08:53:35 AM
This is a cool idea. The only downside is that once you use a bitcoin address you are advised to never use it again, because the private keys have now been exposed to a third party.

Hopefully you don't have anything stored on that address, because the private key is now available to everyone on this public forum. Embarrassed
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What the games you play as you earn? on: September 04, 2017, 08:47:30 AM
Hey, I should also mention gogooptions as listed in my signature. I don't personally use it, but it can somewhat count as a game. It involves earning Bitcoin at least. Basically you bet on whether the price will go up or down. If you're right you win. If you're wrong you lose.

I don't normally advertise stuff where I put referral stuff and what not, but when a thread is made that specifically asks for these kind of things I don't consider it spam and perfectly acceptable to put out there.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Traditional banks on: September 04, 2017, 07:26:46 AM
I believe that the increase in simplicity will decrease the comfort with Bitcoin. Scalability also has issues with transactions speeds. If the speeds of transactions can go faster and transaction feeds go lower, then we will see an increase in bitcoin users. Reporting shouldn't be that difficult, if you trace money on the blockchain you can figure out where the money came from and where it ended up once it is converted into cash.
313  Economy / Service Discussion / I told my brothers and cousins about signature campaigns. on: September 03, 2017, 09:17:46 PM
I told my brothers and cousins about signature campaigns and how I've been making money off of them. If I let some of them use my computer under a different account would this be bad?

I can imagine that some of the campaigns could get mad if you have multiple accounts on the same computer and think you're a spammer or something like that. I mean, I guess they could tell that I'm not by the content that I post, but maybe that isn't enough. If my brother uses the same computer as me it could look like the same person under two accounts since we have the same IP address. Should I just tell them no then?
314  Economy / Speculation / Re: the likelihood that bitcoin will see a correction at 5000$ on: September 03, 2017, 01:32:26 AM
Price changes are pretty huge now, can't say for sure what the "correct" price is. A lot of people got their sell orders around 5k so we are experiencing a drop in price, but larger investors are not selling, they are buying so it shouldn't be long until price goes beyond 5k

Actually, the "larger investors" are following suit right now.  This is just the beginning of the drop.  I came in here yesterday to warn everyone that this was inevitable.  I'd hate to say it but I believe this is the beginning of the steepest decline yet.

But it will recover, and when it does I believe it will be the beginning of a steady period of growth that will also be the best the currency has seen...even better than when it went from triple digits to 3K.  And expect it reach the 5 digits by the end of 2018, and eventually even the low-mid 5 digits after that.

But before that happens expect things to get worse before they get better.  It's not a bad idea to move your money elsewhere in the meantime.  As much as I hate to say it I believe this is just the beginning of a steep decline.

What is the reasoning behind this steep decline that you are predicting. Is this because it has risen up so fast that it is a slight bubble that is only building to eventually break?
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you send Bitcoin without using an exchange? on: September 03, 2017, 12:00:10 AM
Sorry guys, I shouldn't have used the word exchange. I should have said third party. Meaning any kind of wallet software that you have to download or sign up for.

It just seems like anyone should be able to send Bitcoin without downloading someone else's software without knowing what is really going on.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Establishing bitcoin in the USA on: September 02, 2017, 11:52:02 PM
This kind of thing is already happening in terms with the online world. A lot of online websites for US players now are accepting Bitcoin. I received a letter in the mail from BetOnline trying to get me to deposit with Bitcoins for some bonus or whatever. Getting casinos to accept Bitcoin in real life would be a good idea. I haven't seen this happen yet, but once it does I agree, it could be big.

The government would like this idea as well since it would be harder for people to cheat on their taxes with gambling earnings when there is Bitcoin involved. Although, if Bitcoin becomes more mainstream then the opposite affect could happen since Bitcoin would be less likely to be sold at an exchange and used simply to buy things. Who knows what the future will hold though.
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: the likelihood that bitcoin will see a correction at 5000$ on: September 02, 2017, 09:38:33 PM
There isn't really anything you can do to predict whether or when a correction will happen. Basically if the value goes up way beyond the actual worth of something then eventually a correction is inevitable at some point in the future. However, pinpointing this time is difficult.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governments should rather profit from Bitcoin on: September 02, 2017, 09:26:30 PM
If the US government worked very hard to own Crypto currencies they could end up being able to afford a lot of things in the budget. The fact that the Chinese government is getting involved could end up making them the new world power of the world. That would be quite sad for all of us living in the US, because we like being on top. I think it also is a good thing to do as a backup. If Bitcoin fails then the US loses a bit of money. If it succeeds then the government will be able to pay a lot of its debts and finish things off that it can't afford.
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The beginning of Bitcoin story — from PIZZA to eternity! on: September 02, 2017, 09:16:24 PM
The inception ! and key points during the history ! Smiley
https://blog.eth-price.com/2017/08/29/bitcoin-history-scientific-origins/

I wonder what the people who bought Pizzas for such amount of BTC now feel. They could now rich's. Sad...

They would probably feel bad on how bitcoin have turned out and how much fortune they would have made, if they had hold forth to their bitcoin but at the same time they would not be forgotten as part of those who made history to what we have today because if they were not there at the time and use bitcoin to buy Pizza, who knows whether it would have turned out what it is today.

This is a great point. A lot of people on here say things like "it is stupid to spend your bitcoins". Well, I am strongly against this, because if no one spends their coins then it doesn't have any true worth other than being a collectors item. When people hear things about someone actually purchasing something with Bitcoin it cements the idea that Bitcoin has the ability to be used to purchase things.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Message to the guys, that didn't buy when BTC was worth 100$ on: September 02, 2017, 09:13:22 PM
Back in 2015 or so I was looking into Bitcoin. The thing that turned me off was the fact that there wasn't anywhere to sell it. I would Google how to sell Bitcoin and couldn't find anything. I saw the spike a couple years ago and assumed it was a pump and dump. I mean honestly, how is that not sketchy. All these websites telling how to buy, but no where how to sell. I thought meh, better not put my money there. Two years later things have changed. Bought at $2200 and well, results look pretty good. Too bad it wasn't at $100. Oh my gosh, I'd be so wealthy now. Well actually not, because I had less money back then and would have invested less. Well okay, I'd probably have about $80k in Bitcoin so yeah it would be quite a lot lol.

So when do you think Bitcoin is going to surge again? Or do you think it is going to go down?  Shocked
