301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: May 06, 2022, 01:55:24 AM
First I tell my friends and family about the existence of alternative economy of crypto. Most of them have heard about the bitcoin, but are unaware of altcoins and don't know anything about mining and how  bitcoin economy works. I try to tell them about NFTs, bit coin and crypto. Most of them still find it difficult to understand. But off late few of them have started to actually invest in crypto.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the World Feed Itself? Historic Fertilizer Crunch Threatens Food Security on: May 03, 2022, 02:35:26 AM
farming should no longer be limited to farms only. We need to grow our food at home. With the shrinking farming lands, it becomes imperative tnat we need to farm for ourselves on rooftops in balconies,  We need to use hydroponics, We need to do vertical farming. Grow your own food and stay secure. This is the only solution I see to this crisis. We need to be creative, we need to  use science
303  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: May 03, 2022, 02:29:05 AM
There are some important lessons for countries adopting bitcoin

1. The implementation of policy is equally important as adoption of policy. Discuss,  get consensus and go in phased manner.
2. Learn to use bitcoin, before converting your assets in crypto
3. Bitcoin is not solution to bad economic policies. Keep your balance sheet clean.
4. Pilot scaling is important before going into mass adoption
5. keep the confidence of investors intact to keep economy floating

304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concern of illegal use of crypto on: May 03, 2022, 02:17:23 AM
There is a war of perceptions going on. We see the governments are finding the excuses to ban crypto. Be it in china, or Russia the ban is being enforced, sometimes its in name of illegal activity and sometimes its about environment. Lawless lands will have their finace channels. The poppy in afghan for Taliban, the drugs in Columbia. All are dealt in fiat currency. But governments want us to believe crypto is bad. They will keep cooking such stories.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the future of crypto 10 years from now. on: May 03, 2022, 01:33:30 AM
10 years down the line, middle east will be accepting bitcoin for oil. Major economies will have included bitcoin in their finances. crypto ATMs will be common. Banks will issue crypto credit cards. Swiss banks would be offering safe services for storing your keys. US will be frustrated and struggling to keep dollar as the international currency. We will still be here rejoicing we were on right side of history.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is accused of providing users data to Russia on: May 03, 2022, 01:27:48 AM
Finance wars and war financing go hand in hand. Russians accuse Ukraine of selling soviet military technology. Now they track the Ukrainian finances. This is a very important lesson, you will be tracked, by governments, by financial institutions and by bogus bodies as well. Keep your digital identity safe, keep your crypto keys safe. Who knows they will be your biggest asset in your crisis times.

Binance has proven itself unworthy of investment and has potentially scarred of several future clients, all for what? Putin.
Musk please buy binance, lets put things in order... Wink
307  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Legal Tender in Panama on: May 03, 2022, 01:16:15 AM
Its really interesting phenomenon. The countries which were in the backdrop pf international economic scene are the early adaptors of bitcoin as they are trying to solve their own unique economic challenges with bitcoin. These countries are taking calculated risk, they know that over time the bigger economies will adopt bitcoin and this will significantly increase the value of their holdings in future. But the larger economies are following same stand. All of them too weary, cautious and in line of their common understanding. Wait and watch
Anyways kudos to panama for being early adopter, this will go long way in strengthening your economy
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York passed a bill against Bitcoin mining on: May 03, 2022, 01:03:50 AM
Bitcoin proved itself as a very useful asset during war, Ukraine was one of the major adopter of bitcoin in 2021 and fleeing  Ukrainians relied on digital asset for storing  liquidity at time of war, when banks and other financial institutions are not functioning. The world poured donations in form of bitcoin, providing crucial humanitarian support to refugees of Ukraine. Russia too, after being removed from international financial system relied on crypto as alternative financial asset. This is the proof of work of working of crypto as a useful currency, which has several advantages over fiat, including higher reliability. This however cast a doubt over conventional international currency, that is dollar. However the time of skeptics is long gone and denialism and sanctions wont work. Rather than finding the reasons to block and ban . US should think of work and earn.

Bitcoin is here to stay and countries which understand it will reap the digital gold
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Behind closed doors, EU officials talk about banning Bitcoin" on: April 21, 2022, 04:02:31 PM
I dont know , but first thing governments do to make their point is to say that crypto is used for illegal activities. I dont know how much of this is true, But yes I don't want, bad publicity for bitcoin, so there is a need of some sort of government free control, an international collaboration for managing free and fair bitcoin arena. Which allows bitcoin trade, but no illegitimate usage. Lets see what comes up
310  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is a puzzle ! on: April 21, 2022, 03:38:20 PM
Life is a game play it hard. Like is a lesson, become wise. Life is a celebration, celebrate it. Life is for love do it. Life is laughter laugh hard. Life is emotional journey, experience it. Life is in relations, have good ones. Life is pain, take away pain of others.. Life is a puzzle solve it. Live your life so as when death knocks your door, it greet you like a old lover, and when you are gone, people after you say, there lived a good wise jolly man....
311  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF: War Dims Global Economic Outlook as Inflation Accelerates on: April 20, 2022, 04:05:02 PM
After jungle burns, fire move towards cities. We believe we are immune to what is happening elsewhere, but that's not the case at all and we all will suffer in long rain. The war of today will be the reasons of wars of tomorrow. Be it price rise of shortage of supplies. Inflation is bound to move upwards. How immune we are depends on how much buffer we have. But i believe we are already thinning out
312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: April 20, 2022, 03:59:55 PM
I had been a teacher for a part of my life. The best part of being a teacher  is that you can transform a otherwise mediocre students into a fantastic student, The trust, the love the respect you recieve as a teacher is unparallel. Yes i love to be a teacher. But its true teachers are underpaid everywhere..
313  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: April 20, 2022, 03:50:02 PM
Great.. I appreciate your conviction and passion for bitcoin. I am sure bitcoin will see another bull run in near future, with mass adoption. I also have some plans like you and I will also share my story with all of you.. Still working for it..
314  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka defaults on its $51 billion external debt on: April 19, 2022, 05:02:35 PM
Lankan economy became debt ridden only after they took huge loans for so called infrastructure development from china. They were expecting big gains from projects, but those projects actually never completed.  Moreover the tourism sector also died off during covid. The Ceylon tea estates also suffered greatly due to non availability of fertilizers in recent times.. However during all this period the debts kept mounting, and now they are in a bad debt trap.

Some politicians made money and the country became bankrupt.. This is a classical case when too much greed killed the golden goose
315  Economy / Economics / Re: Preparing for the future. on: April 19, 2022, 04:53:40 PM
I really liked this post, it felt so meaningful and I had been contemplating the same for quite some time. It might seem harsh but yes technology is going to make many jobs obsolete sooner than later, for example AI based decision making processes and further automation will take away need of human interventions. However more new work areas are emerging simultaneously. One important area is food production. The world is facing shortage of food and inflation and most of the people are limited to only tech jobs , but food industry is going to see a boom in future.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine - Russia war crisis. Will Bitcoin be legalized soon? on: April 19, 2022, 04:46:45 PM
I would say  this wear is going to be long one and Russians will see a slump in their economy postwar.  US and allies will adopt stricter measures in long term. This will somewhere force Russia to do Non USD  transactions, Russia will use ruble based transactions as much as possible, but yes bitcoin can also gain popularity amongst common Russians for international transactions. However legalization of bitcoin might not happen as russia has previously taken harsh stand on crypto and this will likely to continue
317  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Crypto Bank on: April 18, 2022, 05:46:40 PM
Bank is basically a custodian of our money. It offers services which suits it. For most people bank is a good entity. But the concept of bitcoin was to bypass the traditional banking in personal peer to peer transactions. However with increasing numbers and sophistication of scams, I think people will start using banks as custodian to their crypto lust like it do for their fiat.
So In a way yes we might see crypto bank in a year or two
318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Power Or Money ? on: April 18, 2022, 05:37:12 PM
Power is mother of all evils. Including money. The richest nations in the world are the most powerful ones. Power help to create and maintain systems and through such systems money is generated. We already know the power consumption of bitcoin and its value.. SO if i have to choose from the two, it surely will be the power.
319  Other / Off-topic / Re: What was the best memory of your childhood ? on: April 18, 2022, 05:31:33 PM
My best memories of childhood was celebrating my birthday with my parents and siblings, and how painstakingly and perfectly my mom made all the arrangements. This still bring smile to my face when I see those old photographs.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia wants to build a new world order with China on: April 18, 2022, 05:27:37 PM
A lot of countries especially US adversaries are uncomfortable with US dollar being the reserve currency. Russia and China are the prominent ones.
It is worth noting that US sanctions have time and again damaged their economy. However the hegemony of US was literally unchallenged till US wielded control over world energy resources and supply lines in middle east(Oil is the most important commodity traded in USD). However in recent past things have changed. Russia and China have developed alternative energy supplies, and now they are moving into next phase of challenging US hegemony, by creating alternative currencies. God know what lies ahead, but yes it seems US is not going to let this happen easily, so there will be more conflicts in future.
