301  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: January 18, 2018, 09:35:03 AM
Those bitcoin millionaires were the ones that are criticized way back when cryptocurrencies were thought of lowly. They've endured those negative remarks and trusted in the innovation and the project anyway. Which is why I think their wealth are well deserved.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the major factors that affect the bitcoin price? on: January 18, 2018, 09:26:46 AM
Culture can also affect the price. Like what we are experiencing now, lunar new year is around the corner. What that brings us are a lot of (asian) people cashing out their cryptocurrency holdings to celebrate the event thus the market are negatively affected.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in bitcoin on: January 15, 2018, 02:21:43 PM
Consider it as another form of asset that is on par with stocks. Of course, its price is due only to speculation and some slight manipulation but imo, as the spearhead of cryptocurrency (at the moment..) getting your feet wet in it is worth a shot.
304  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: January 15, 2018, 01:57:36 PM
Gold has high liquidity and has an intrinsic value while bitcoin--although similarly has a limited supply--has no inherent value. The price is only due to people believing it will be used/valued more in the future. Just my 2 cents worth.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: January 15, 2018, 01:46:42 PM
There nothing really stopping them from investing in cryptos however, imo, old people should just enjoy the rest of their time. Investments like bitcoin and some alts (with the exception of pnd coins ) take tremendous amount of time to be profitable and by the time they would've use their profit for their whims, it might be too late.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where should I ? on: January 14, 2018, 04:37:02 PM
You should consider putting your money in both of them as choosing only one significantly increases the danger. You can put all your money in btc and lose it all in a moment whereas if you diversify your portfolio say, 60-40 favor of btc, you still have remaining eth.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: highest amount you earned from bounty ??? on: January 14, 2018, 03:55:50 PM
I know a person who earned 328500$ from one single bounty. He got 150K Ethereum blues for a bounty he did for them and yesterday he sold his Blues at 2.19$ per Blue rate. It was amazing.
omg this bounty is still open?? xd i would to jump in too in those amazing ventures :
Unfortunately, that is an airdropped coin and is already done distributing. I know because I have 2000 blue and sold them all for 40$ Grin . Anyway I was a newb then, but I learned my lesson now.
308  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Sinu dito nagttrade sa LiveCoin.net? on: January 14, 2018, 03:51:24 PM
Laging wala (or super delayed) lumalabas na tx history.
309  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: BITCOIN vs XRP?? on: January 14, 2018, 03:38:25 PM
Correct me if i'm wrong, diba kinokonsider na hindi decentralized si XRP?

It is still decentralized but less compared to bitcoin...Ang ayoko sa xrp is kontrolado ng iilang tao(those founder/CEO)... ill rather go with cardano or stellar..
Can you please elaborate how you have come to the conclusion that xrp is decentralized kung ito ay 'kontrolado ng iilang tao'?
Might as well consider that the banks controls xrp and they could pump the sh*t out of it anytime they want while bitcoin is stagnating--so it isn't completely impossible.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy the dip, 2018 edition on: January 11, 2018, 08:20:14 PM
Too bad many people got done in by those fake news.  This dip might go all the way down to 10k so I'm holding until then.

First month of the year and we see all sorts of news. 2018 is gonna be an exiting year for crypto  Grin
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kodak starts bitcoin mining + launches KodakCoin on: January 11, 2018, 08:00:08 PM
This is a good move on kodak's part. Although, I'm wondering why no company is doing what they have done; their valuation would've risen at the mention of cryptocurrencies. People would dive in headfirst without a second thought if some big name company does what kodak has done.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: January 11, 2018, 01:01:16 AM
I like binance for now; pretty nice UI and has a nice volume. They've been ranked as one of the top exchanges only after 5(?) months so i think that speaks for itself. On another note, Polo and Bittrex has some shady stuff going on right now, stay away from them.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why i am switching from Etherdelta to Idex Decentralize Exch on: January 11, 2018, 12:50:35 AM
Is it safe to import wallet private key?!
Yes, it is safe now. However i suggest you stay away from ed right now--lots of sketchy stuff going on there. Or if you must really use ed, use metamask--it's a chrome extension.
315  Other / Off-topic / Re: Everybody is joining.. on: January 11, 2018, 12:38:26 AM
Dumb money are certainly being poured into the market right now. People only know that cryptos are a great investment but they don't necessarily care about the technology. There is nothing wrong with that though, after all its all part of the way for mass adoption.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you first know about bitcoin what was the price? on: January 11, 2018, 12:33:10 AM
I've known bitcoin when it's price was just 700$ but only until now did I get involved in cryptos because before I thought it was just a waste of time. It's part of my life's biggest regret but nothing I could do about it now but to make up for the time lost by consuming information whenever I can.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: January 11, 2018, 12:25:17 AM
it has to be the scalability issue. For it to be ready for mass adoption, the developers need to implement more ways to trim down tx fees and confirmation time. Solutions like  LN is good but the problem is, less people are using it right now.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to the crypto market after five years? on: January 08, 2018, 03:28:22 PM
Like I have said many times, majority of roadmaps would be completed by then--for the legit projects at least. Most shitcoins would be shaken of down the drain and the road to mass adoption will be closer than ever.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: January 08, 2018, 03:15:08 PM
I love crypto because it is a new technology in our time, especially bitcoin, as the spearhead. Part of why I love it is that the amount of knowledge you could learn from it is endless as it always evolve everyday, gets innovative through the years.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen to bitcoin? Going down. a correction? on: January 08, 2018, 02:47:41 PM
I was wondering the same thing earlier. And here I thought only bitcoin is in the red but lo and behold, a quick cmc check shows blood in the streets (Good thing I got out at about 16.2k$). In retrospect, this thing is familiar. It will bounce back again after the altcoin craze is done.
