301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Sentry a scam? on: October 08, 2017, 10:08:26 PM
Can we get admins to fetch his IP?
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Sentry a scam? on: October 08, 2017, 09:48:31 PM
I threw a few bucks at it so I dont really mind but I feel really bad for the guy who dropped 30 ETH, he was really nice in the discord. What goes around comes around though.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Sentry a scam? on: October 08, 2017, 09:44:35 PM
I can affirm this is a scam. I was kicked from discord when I was about to ask the "dev" to prove his authenticity.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Sentry ICO is the NEXT new Crypto to MOON! on: October 08, 2017, 09:43:09 PM
No its not, he kicked all the known investors out of discord because we found out it was a total lie. scam 100%
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A lot of scam sites of BTG, be aware NEVER give private keys. on: October 08, 2017, 09:27:41 PM
I know that for a majority of people who are reading - this information is inherently understood by default, but the last fork brought a LOT of new players and I know this one will as well. There are some sites like this one (www.claiimbtcgpu.org) trying to take your money in broad daylight. If your new, be aware and spread the awareness. If you find anymore of these post them here.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EMoneyPower Coin The Future Crypto on: October 08, 2017, 11:15:08 AM
hmm

90% of all tokens are in one address..

If this isn't a pump and dump, I don't know what is.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] STK: A New Cryptocurrency for Instant Payments at Point of Sale on: October 07, 2017, 07:15:15 PM
When are bounties paid off?

Is there an address and decimal for the ERC20 we can add?

I 'd like to create a telegram group for the XCoin community.

https://t.me/xcoingroup

And a simple designed logo :

No man, No. This is a dead give away for investors to look away. I'm going to make a professional one. I'll have it in PNG and SVG for scalability.

do i get stakes for this?
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █=█ BoostCoin █=█ Global blockchain services on: October 06, 2017, 04:51:11 AM
Regarding the exchanges. Getting listed to Nova isn't complicated - all we need is NPOINTs (which is a token for votes on Nova).

One vote costs 10 NPOINTs, we need a total of 250 votes.

1 NPOINT costs around .0001 btc at the moment - so we need 2500 NPOINTs

So that's .25 BTC which is very tangible.

312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █=█ BoostCoin █=█ Still going strong for nearly 3 years! on: October 05, 2017, 08:51:52 AM
Is there something wrong with the boostcoin network? My wallet v4.4.1.3 Core will not sync. Stuck at block 897732.

Hi, the network is running fine, all nodes are at the same block height as the explorer.
There have been a few updates since v4.4.1.3 . Please download the latest wallet available and you might need to re-sync from block 0 to ensure you are on the correct chain.

Here is an up to date copy of the BOST blockchain for you to use if you want to speed up synching...

I have downloaded the latest wallet (4.4.8.0) and the blockchain. After syncing the last block I have 0 balance. The transaction history is shown good. Where are my boostcoins?

Hi There,

The link to the blockchain boost is not active anymore !!!

Can somebody post a new download link ?

thx in advance,
reiniere.

I'm in the same boat, Just gonna let the computer run for some good hours. Once it's done I'll re-upload a new one for anyone else that needs it.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: █=█ BoostCoin █=█ Global blockchain services on: October 04, 2017, 11:29:52 PM
i am very hopeful for this coin but i have not found a twitter account and website

I am too. The community and team are very active though and that's a good sign - keep in mind this project has been going strong for 3 years and it had very innovative implementations. Although I agree, most people will keep assuming this coin is dead if they look at it objectively. I think it would be a good idea to open a Telegram or Slack for the new revisions, just so that we can easily converse on the new fundamentals and plans.
314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real friends. on: October 04, 2017, 06:40:31 PM
I believe that for the moment they will be there for you and that's good but it is a temporary relationship. You will never know how friends may change.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to spot a scam? on: October 04, 2017, 05:32:49 AM
Check the linkedin links if they are present. Sometimes those go to people who have absolutely zero information on linkedin. Thing is only a handful of people click those so deductively by doing your own due diligence you

will see the patterns of scams and be able to weed them out. All by trusting your process you will eliminate scams, important thing here is to have a process.

This, If the team is hidden that's a bad sign. Always check authenticity of the devs.
Another thing is to look at an explorer if possible - if the coin is premined or the owners are holding 50%+ thats a bad sign.
White paper is a big deal, If the white paper consist of less then 4 pages with mainly visual diagrams, that's a horrid sign. It's always best to read these.
Design is a big tip off too, if it looks like it was made in MS Paint in 1 hour you can tell that if they hadnt put much thought in the design they probably would do the same with the project.

The best tip off out of all is what I just quoted. Check for devs background. If there is no info on devs then tread carefully. If there is,  make sure that they are who they say they are. I've seen people linking to fake linkedin accounts.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will centralized exchanges meet a demise like Mt. Gox? on: October 03, 2017, 11:19:34 PM

Not everything should be decentralized. All of the decentralized exchanges I have used so far have horrible interfaces and are not a pleasant experience.

Same thing can be said about centralized exchanges when they first popped into existence. I think gradually there will be more and more progress.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex's delisting list on: October 03, 2017, 11:15:52 PM
That's crazy. That's incredibly unprofessional of Bittrex to just go about delisting well known projects without even a simple consultation.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: October 03, 2017, 08:57:26 PM
The Devs and moderators are very active in the telegram channel. They also give out many discount/bonus promotion codes for the crowd sale.
I think there is a 40% discount code coming later today via email - so if you are still interested in this join and chat to the devs to find out what you need to do.

https://t.me/joinchat/Bvx800IXuCoe-QGoLXoVlQ

I'm getting the message that the telegram room doesn't exist ... I asked about getting the promo code a couple times, made asnarky remark about maybe time to go buy some LATokens and I guess I got kicked out... seems a bit extreme to kick an investor out of a chat room ... and STILL haven't; received the promo ode that was supposed to be sent out... hummm ...

After joining the telegram for about 1 hour, it's easy to see that the moderation there is very heavy. They have been under a lot of stipulation. In my opinion it's quite understandable - The CEO is a model who apparently doesn't have much background running a business with a past of amateur sex appealing videos of her flaunting stacks of money. The concern for investors are serious here. So almost every community outlet that this ICO has is heavily moderated, the slightest inquirer who questions it's authenticity is banned from the community regardless if you are an investor.

At first I actually thought this project was interesting but after doing more background research, I don't feel comfortable knowing the practices or history of Paragon and it's employees. I feel as if it may be the fyre festival of crypto - I hope to be proven wrong..

When bitcoin was forking into bitcoin cash the market went into insanity. The price of bitcoin nearly doubled in under a month and with this, bitcoin was taken as a huge threat. The SEC started investigating many centralized exchanges - most notably Bittrex. It seems so far that everything is running smoothly but I feel that this is a subtle foreshadowing of what might come. There is a residual feeling of uncertainty just reading Bittrex's report on the SEC investigation - a quote from the Bittrex report article says "We applaud the SEC in issuing its Digital Asset Investigative Report." Something is wrong here, why is a cryptocurrency exchange rejoicing in it's possible demise?

Source? I hadn't heard that Bittrex was being investigated at all.
