302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small Waves after G20 - Why on: April 06, 2018, 09:13:27 PM
I think regulation will be a common topic in crypto this year, we might have reached a psychological threshold which requires institutional money to propell us to the next level. that ensuing stability will encourage retail investors who invested around the top in Dec to return to the space too
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / How to peer-to-peer OTC crypto trades occur? on: April 06, 2018, 09:07:56 PM
How is bitcoin traded over the counter, when I hear about whales purchasing bitcoin over the counter for example, how are those transactions organized?
304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any groups for full time crypto traders? on: April 06, 2018, 08:59:53 PM
I was wondering if any of you knows about any groups of full time traders that are opened for new members? Maybe collaborative trading groups, or just society of dedicated people who talk about strategy. I don't mind if they ask you to verify your net worth, as I find this understandable.
There are a number of groups that are helpful, personally I dart in and out of some of the free groups of twitter influencers, there are some that are really helpful, I personally like Korean Jew's Trading group
305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Guide To Money Making And Helpful Tips on: April 06, 2018, 08:52:29 PM
HI Xorst I love your post. I have tried to find inroads for a while now since I began my crypto journey a little over six months ago. I invested some money, discovered bounties, following along on those. I would really love to understand how bitcoin code works, I have been following the coursera course but there are some concepts i do not understand. i feel i can be a better evangelist and blogger if am able to grasp these concepts in-depth. i just discovered the bitcointalk section about bitcoin code, i think am going to be active over there. am open to plenty of other opportunities i can take advantage of in crypto, esp that can be discovered navigating around this forum

You are very welcome. I hope you enjoy it and apply it to your future.

Can you clarify your questions? I'll be more than happy if i could help.  Roll Eyes
I looked into crypto because I needed the money and it seemed one of the best ways to earn an extra penny while pursuing something meaningful. For someone who lacks a large income to invest, I have to adapt, I began with bounties, they are easiest. I have also began writing blogs about crypto.  am learning trading now too. Am learning code, to perhaps be a developer in this space too. Are there any other opportunities I can look into? I am young still in campus with a lot of time to learn
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you encourage friends and family to invest in crypto? on: April 06, 2018, 07:52:37 PM
I have learnt my fair share of never involving people who do not understand, and who sabotage themselves with their misconceptions about the space. But of course I am trying my level best to influence them
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs in 2018 not same as 2017. on: April 06, 2018, 07:41:14 PM
There are a number of great projects though, I believe it takes some time to take traction ad the bear market takes every coin with it, hopefully towards the end of the month we will see improvements of the market
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SOFTCAP⭐ Obizcoin 🚀Introducing AI and Blockchain backed Smart Process BOTs on: April 06, 2018, 07:38:44 PM
Regarding the rewards for holding obizcoin in our wallet, when is that going to be calculated, since token distribution or is there going to be an official communication?
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you identify crypto projects that are scams? on: April 06, 2018, 07:33:16 PM
In addition to that, if project team invests project money in other projects ie they do not lock their tokens, it is usually important to be cautious about such a project as well

314  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which trading platform with cryptocurrency to choose?! on: April 05, 2018, 11:38:08 PM
Hello, everyone!
Im totally new at this forum.
My friend successfully trades on the cryptocurrency market in 7 months. He uses several popular platforms. Tell me which platforms are the most secure at the moment.
I want to deposit 500 $. I want to divide this sum into 3-5 parts, that would increase the chance to earn and try different services.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation  Wink

Kinda difficult to suggest you a various trading platform since I don't know your preferences. But you can take this pointers as reference:

1) KYC (know your customer)
2) Forms of deposits (fiat, crypto)
3) Trading fees
4) Customer Support

Based on my experience and "knowledge"

Strict KYC: (be sure to read their terms about account verification before making a deposit)
Poloniex
Bittrex
Binance

Lots of negative feedback based on actual user experienced:
Yobit
HitBTC

Poor Customer Support
Yobit
HitbTC
Poloniex
Cryptopia

Yours to make a research as I don't want to recommend you a trading platform directly.

Lets say i have a coin that is only listed on the lowest tier(Poor Customer Support) would you advise I wait until another exchange or take the gamble. I hear people mentioning otc purchases am not sure how that works
315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you identify crypto projects that are scams? on: April 05, 2018, 11:36:30 PM
Personally i feel adopting a patient and systematic approach is key meaning you take time to research about ICOs on your own and not relying on third parties who have vested interests, Digging what prominent sites for example are saying about projects, verifying some of the partnerships claimed is also a good place to look into, ICOs that try to raise too much money, and consulting some seasoned investors in forums is also advisable

317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the long term future of crypto WITHOUT smart contract capabilities? on: April 05, 2018, 11:23:43 PM
Just wondering and thinking about the future of 1000+ coins that have the same capabilities as BTC, where with ETH we have programmable money, where the majority of crypto are just BTC clones.

What do you think and how much room is there for this older protocol?

I think crypto established primarily for payment processing might get phased out in future, with the likes of Litecoin taking a large market share, and hopefully bitcoin code improved on its flaws. Tho

319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most interesting cryptocurrencies of the week on: April 04, 2018, 11:26:33 PM
there are a couple of recent ICOs that have been wrecked by the bear market. Currently the ones that stand out include the likes of MAN, FSN, PHR, WAN to mention but a few
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you a full time trader or just part timer? on: April 04, 2018, 11:20:13 PM
spending time in some telegram groups, watching as days unfold, i kind of get to interact with traders, or their discussions at least, am learning to trade though, my schedule cant allow me the luxury of day trading, I dont think I can stand the stress. Trades once in a week will let me live
