301  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is rocking are we nearing to the bull run? on: December 19, 2018, 08:02:57 PM
Some Interesting stuff going across the Crypto market, BTC is slowly recovering and there is a good change so far in the market, I guess we are nearing to the bull run. Are the happy days are on the way?
I think we have reached the end of the bear market but if your expecting a sharp run up in prices like 2017 I think you are going to be disappointed. This recovery will be slower and more uneven with coin prices being driven by the developments of individual coins and real progress instead of hype.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My reasons why we have a bearish market on: December 18, 2018, 11:42:43 PM
Bitcoin pumps when there is a high demand for it, forget about whales bla bla bla. Come to think of it, if whales pump bitcoin and non whales refuse to buy it, what happens?

The number of people that exited crypto currency this year is when it was at the peak.
Many, I repeat many left crypto this year and might not come back.

What gives crypto curency demands Huh HYIP platforms, ponzi platforms, Matrix platforms, etc. All these have faded and ended.

Same time 2016 btc was on the go despite the xmas cash out because there was high demand based on the above listed platforms functioning well.
Btc dipped last December and failed to rises because all those platforms are dead including staking coins like bitconnect.

Now the answer is what is the demand of bitcoin, forget about proposed demands, forget about block chain this and that adopted by countries and banks.

Crypto will achieve its vision only when it is regulated, not having over 2000 shit coins to USD, over 200,000 shit ICO which 60% will end up scamming people
Bull and bear markets are a natural part of cryptocurrencies. BTC has had 3 bear markets where it lost more than 80% of its value in its short 10 year history. The market goes from periods of Euphoria to periods of Depression because the promise of the technology is so great which also means it is a huge threat to vested interests. Hyips, Ponzi and Matrix markets have nothing to do with it.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the cause of the dump on the market. on: December 18, 2018, 11:36:14 PM
I'm saying this because it is real. Just imagine, Ethereum has built many tokens inside the blockchain and many people launched ICOs which most of them are totally weird and fake, but some of them are not. People usually like to trade their ethereum and turn it into a token where it can be determined as a "future asset" and it cannot be sold until they had listed on an exchange. The companies who launched the ICOs are usually selling the ethereum which gotten from their ICO in droves, in which it can make a dump on the Ethereum market.
Unfortunately none on your thesis is based on any facts. Most ICO's did not sell the Ethereum they raised, they stupidly hung on to it even though most of their future expenses would be paid in fiat currency. The bear market began in January when ICO's were still raising huge amounts of money. This bear market was caused by the hype of 2017 that drove prices up to unsustainable levels.

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Won't it be possible to be paid for bounty in cash instead of token on: December 18, 2018, 03:12:23 PM
Sometimes i use to ask why is it not possible to be paid bounty money in cash why is it alway's that is only paid in token anybody that can explain more please?
It is possible, I just completed a bounty were the proceeds are being paid in USDT. If an ICO is going to pay everyone from the proceeds of their token sale they can easily do it, but many will prefer to pay you in their tokens because it is just free money they can create out of thin air.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best investment strategies ? on: December 18, 2018, 03:04:51 PM
Invest in a crypto market situation accordingly. There should be a framework for him to invest in which time to invest. And at what time to sell.
The strategy that I have always followed is being a contrarian. When everyone else is selling is when I buy and when everyone is buying is when I start selling. A classic example is the last year. When markets were hitting record highs in late 2017 and everyone on TV was talking about investing in Cryptocurrencies was when I started moving money into cash and this year as we are approaching Christmas and everyone is claiming the end of Cryptocurrencies I have started investing again. I never move everything at once, I like to use dollar cost averaging on both the buy and the sell.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Don't Believe The Trading Volumes On Most Exchanges on: December 18, 2018, 02:51:01 PM
It would seem that "Wash Trading" is a much bigger problem than originally thought. Wash Trading is the buying and selling of coins by bots on the exchange to artificially create volume and the perception of liquidity. A new study shows that only 3 of the Top 25 exchanges trading Bitcoin according to CoinMarketCap are actually presenting true figures. https://cointelegraph.com/news/report-claims-over-80-percent-of-top-25-btc-trading-pair-volumes-on-cmc-are-wash-traded
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Future of Ethereum? on: December 17, 2018, 10:44:27 AM
There are many arguments for and against the future of ethereum. Do you think those comparisons should exist and that it has real challenge? https://cryptoinfowatch.com/ethereum-price-live-why-the-coin-bleeds/
Ethereum is suffering the hangover caused by its success. Ethereum was the first coin that was ever widely used to do something other than be a simple store of value. This caused massive amounts of money to flow it the Ethereum eco system as it became the King of ICO's. This boom attracted speculators that did not know what they were doing and scammers seeking to take advantage of their stupidity. Since this flow was built on making easy money when that stopped happening the money dried up. This speculation also attracted the attention of regulators who have been stepping in to prevent idiots from losing their money. Once the industry adapts to the new regulations we will see Ethereum rise again as the King Of STO's.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: December 17, 2018, 10:34:56 AM
In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see  that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.

Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.

I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.

Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.

I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..

What's your view about it?
I think some regulation at this point is going to be inevitable, or at least the attempt to regulate. There will never be foolproof regulation because even if they manage to force every exchange to do KYC/AML there is nothing that prevents people from doing trades privately. They may end up creating two parallel markets of regulated exchanges and registered coins and another of black markets and unauthorized coins. My hope is they realise their limitations and just try to regulate the on ramps and off ramps.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: December 17, 2018, 10:27:40 AM
2018 is not a profitable year for almost all Crypto enthusiasts. Though there's an increase in adoption of blockchain technology but almost all crypto assets have lost close to 90% of their all time high and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. In some weeks now, we will say goodbye to 2018 and the hope of market recovery will now cling to 2019. Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.
Even if the bear market lasts the entire 2019 it won't mean the end of cryptocurrency, only certain people's participation. Bear markets happen quite frequently in cryptocurrencies, with BTC having had 3 with a fall greater than 80% in the last ten years. It wipes out the speculators who will just get replaced in the next Bull Market.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does it take to become a pro on: December 17, 2018, 09:04:53 AM
I am really interested in this question. And you might be surprised, but I came here not only for money, but on the first place I put the feeling that I can do something important. Cryptocurrency world is not a teaching, medicine or life guard area, but i am a strong believer that every person should do something important for him, his family and friends and for other people as well. So I am thinking of becoming some kind of cryptocurrency consultant or something like that. But I understand that in order to achieve this goal I need to have a perfect portfolio and to become a highly qualified professional myself. I am ready to hard work for years, but i want to know how much time will I need? One year is not enough but what about three or four years? Will it be enough? What do you think? Thank you very much and good luck with your business.
By being a pro I am taking that to mean you want to have full time employment in the Cryptocurrency Industry. If you really want to have a serious role I would recommend learning how to code with an emphasis on the programming languages used within the industry. With only a few years of experience you can earn a very high salary.

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do You Think A Bull Run Is Really Coming on: December 16, 2018, 05:41:49 AM
Yes I do think a bull run is really coming. It is not a matter of if, but when. On that subject I can only guess like everyone else. But I am cautiously optimistic that we will see the end of the bear market sometime early in the New Year. But I don't think it will suddenly become a fast rising bull market. I think it will be slower and more selective than it has in the past.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that 99% of ICOs are either failed or scam? on: December 16, 2018, 05:37:04 AM
I see a lots of ICO with the use of their coins are similar. They raised money, got them and ran away.
No it is not true. I have participated in over 200 ICO's and I have had only one where the people behind the project ran away with the money. Some have done a really bad job of putting the money to work and advanced the project, others are working hard on the project. I don't think you can classify a business where the people do the work but the project fails to take off as a scam.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see a future with one cryptocurrency or thousands? on: December 16, 2018, 05:30:46 AM
The amount of cryptocurrencies out there is nauseating. Up in the thousands now.

Do you see a future where we're using a wide variety, or will one come out on top?

Technically, if one of these ICO projects create a be-all-end-all decentralized platform where all products and services are bought and sold, I guess it isn't impossible to one day have just one.

What do you think?
I think in the future we will have many cryptocurrencies that will fill specialised niches. In designing a new cryptocurrency you are required to make tradeoffs. Want good security? you need to give up latency... etc. You are never going to get to a situation where one single coin does everything better all the other coins.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: December 16, 2018, 05:18:00 AM
This maybe an unpopular answer but I don't agree that ICO's need to be regulated. No one is forced to participate in ICO's. It is purely voluntary. You participate because you think you will make money. If you got scammed it is largely down to your greed overcoming your caution. You should have done a better job checking out the project you invested in. The best thing about ICO's is that anyone with a good idea can easily connect with people that might want to invest in it. I would not want regulations getting in the way of that. Let the market find solutions for better information to make investment decisions.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All about bounty payments and its effect to the project on: December 16, 2018, 05:06:22 AM
I was once an investor had few gains to some ICO/crowdsale but made many losses so I decided to stop participating in ICO instead I do bounties and buy it thru exchanges from bounty hunters dumping it.

I know for a fact that most of you know this situation and are guilty of it,  price tends to tank due to bounty hunters selling their share of tokens for cheap. I think its better to pay hunters in eth or other alts rather than risking the price of their token or coin in that way they could also help their investors and boost confidence to their future and their project. Well for me a falling price is a mark of a failing project "ICO's"
Complete nonsense, Bounties are rarely greater that 1 or 2% of the tokens issued. The primary source of selling when coins first list are by the people who got huge discounts in the Private or PreSale. 30% is the typical discount and sometimes it is even as high as 90%. There are hundreds of ICO's that were done in the later half of 2018 where the bounty has not been paid but the coin has sold off rather dramatically.
