301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 15, 2014, 07:47:28 AM
I think a professional logo would be very helpful in advertising MRC.

Earthcoin is a good example of how high quality advertising material really helps. You can see examples here: http://www.earthcoin.biz/eac_marketing.html

I think some nice flat designs would suit microCoin well.

They sure know how to market any coin could take notes from them lol
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows 7 or Windows 8?? Any experiences? on: January 15, 2014, 06:28:32 AM
windows 8 can do 6 cards/mobo...win7 only 5 cards ,but I prefer win7.. the cards run the same speeds on both os

hey guys I was thinking we should hire an artist to design a new coin logo for micro. I was thinking the design could be silver coin primary color. In the middle the word Micro or MRC. The background behind the word Micro would be green with computer chip like circuits but it would be overlaid by transparent silver. Tell me if you guys think this is a good idea. If you would like to donate please lmk I was thinking maybe we could hire the guy the created the logo for Netcoin

306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Official] Cryptsy Coin Poll on: January 14, 2014, 11:38:58 PM
Add MICROCOIN no premine, no instamine. First coin created in a long time that was meant for a pump and dump like the rest
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 14, 2014, 07:32:07 PM
users please redirect your comments about cryptsy away from this thread, and try to stay focused on microcoin. It's going to make the community as a whole look bad and maybe no exchange will want to add us
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 14, 2014, 10:25:08 AM
I agree, if coin doesn't hit any exchange and goes directly to Cryptsy, it has a great start.. like 42 coin for instance..

The risk is, that this coin is not popular with maybe 150-Mh/s atm (normal scrypt ratio) and may never see cryptsy (I heard BigVern requires bribes like few BTC, so if this was not premined then....). If that happens, once we progress with block numbers and gpu mining become less profitable it will become worthless, once cpu guys come in. We still don't know how nFactor works and what speeds we will achieve at each blocks...we asked few times, but dev doesn't want (or doesn't know how) to answer.
I think they should do away with scaling down GPU's, we are the ones that are going to be supporting the network. And its not that the dev does not want to answer, the coder is going to be away for a couple of days. There are only 2 devs right now and I think they should expand the team, this coin is easily marketable so I don't see why coders wouldn't want to join.

PLZ get rid of the Nfactor protocol. I like mining scrypt-jane because they are healthy for my cards, much cooler and efficient so lets keep it that way forever haha
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $25,000 Best Gpu for the job? on: January 14, 2014, 06:32:43 AM
where are you planning on buying these gpu's because all the stores pretty much made a 1/customer limit
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Crypsty Account was just hacked on: January 14, 2014, 02:33:05 AM
but they could dump your coins on the cheap......oh then with the fees cryptsy stays winning  Wink

you said "tried".

I assume that when they "tried" to withdrawal coins, they needed to confirm via your email. So unless they had access your email account, they can't withdrawal any coins.

Cryptsy stays winning.

your scenario is not possible because you have to dump on the higher buy orders first and by the time you would get to your cheap buy order the coins would be all spent
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 13, 2014, 06:48:33 PM
I think the crappy thing about the nfactor is that us gpu miners are the ones that's going to be pushing the blocks to 160k and then all the cpu miners are going to swoop in after all our work and reap the high rewards while our gpu's become useless

Thank god I was getting irritated by all the reserved wasted post filling the first 3 pages of the authors thread
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 13, 2014, 09:05:35 AM
There is 0 premine and a very fair launch.

I am pretty sure that the dev is not amoung the individuals with highest incentives to promote the coin from a finansial perspective.
Perhaps we should start donating Micro to the devs for their work then. They don't have a lot of hashing power and donations is probably the only way they can get a good amount of coins to push them for promotion. The coin is still young so who cares if its on an exchange right now but after a month then I will also be worried
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 13, 2014, 07:35:37 AM
my gpu's are still hashing at the same speed.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 13, 2014, 07:08:53 AM
Network hashrate is dropping.
Not cause of GPU adjust, but people abandoning mining. Whats the plan forward?
Any plans/campaigns going on to promote this coin?

Yes the GPU adjustment factor didn't kick in yet. miners a re just leaving. hopefully something positive happens with this coin before everyone leaves. this coin has a good name, algo and fair launch
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 13, 2014, 07:06:19 AM
Haven't done scrypt-Jane -- how can I be sure this software won't burn up my cards or something?
I don't even need fans with scrypt jane thts how cool it is
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Netcoin going to make a big move soon. on: January 13, 2014, 12:57:43 AM
This coin has been pumped and dumped over and over. I'm tired of it so I sold my stash, and put in my buy order really low because some one is putting buy orders in 20% higher than real buy support.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: microCoin [MRC] Buy/Sell Thread on: January 13, 2014, 12:47:35 AM

nobody cared that NXT was 100% premined but ppl still invested your 44k isn't bad
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - BOUNTIES - Released! on: January 12, 2014, 12:21:15 PM
On a more happy note, are there any exchange threads out there now?
Btw why the change to 1000MRC after block 310k? Wouldn't it kinda kill the coin/network, given how many coins have been mined out there and the diff between the "launch" block payout.

Imo this could kill the coin given that theres so many MRC out there, with a couple of big bag holders, making the prices on exchange staying a bit low. Which then again makes mining for 1000MRC pr block kinda unattractive. Diff goes down, to even out and not let the block chain slow down.  But all of this just opens an whole other can of worms (51% attacks, large pump/dump on exchanges etc)
I was just going to ask the dev why not lower the block reward after 310k but I guess they already are! This will be better for the coin not detrimental. It gives miners more incentive to support the network if they are holding any coinage. There are no other coins in this forum that has been as fair as Micro. We are going far!

incentive to support the network? that block reward has gone from 300k to 1k? 300times reduction?
that dont make any sense in my eyes.

I agree on the fair launch. im just not agreeing on the standard blocksizd in future.
this just looks like its about getting more hashrate ok the network NOW and not an month from now.

Well if they are holding a lot of coins why would they just leave and watch their coin die or  get attacked. I don't have a lot of hashing power but I'm keeping my rig pointed at micro for the long hall even if the rewards are reduced to 1k. And the block reward will never be 300k it will go up to 160k/block and decline by 1 every block after that till it hits block 300k where the reward will be lowered to 1k. Essentially who ever mines the longest will get the most coins. It's not like the usual insta-mine coin you see released everywhere else and one whale owns 3% of all coins ever created in the first 15 mins
