301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much is your altcoin down since January? on: May 14, 2018, 11:54:24 PM
Let's help the new buyers choosing in what to buy. Here're mine two which are down like 90% in ROI:

1. ITC: $9.15 ATH in January and currently $0.92.

2. SelfKey: $0.08 ATH in January and currently $0.01.

I didn't lose any money because I didn't invest anything. But my coin is currently not stable enough to become profitable. My coins is INS and it already reached $4 before and right now it is just playing around 1. something up to 2. something dollars. It's been a long time since it went back to $3. My SMT coin does not have any value yet and it is to be listed soon said by the team.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How should I split my $100k? on: May 13, 2018, 03:15:31 PM
Hello guys, If you put $100k to crypto, how would you split it ? Thank you

You should split your coins and you should split it in a way that you are only going to invest in top coins. I think you should be good if you divide your money in the coins that are in the top 20 list. But I don't recommend you to buy bitcoin because it is too expensive right now. Ethereum to Qtum should be good. Speaking of the percentage of the coins for example 5% in Cardano, that would depend on you now.

Sylon, I think there's a little misunderstanding. I finished my "15 constructive posts" and yet I didn't received my stakes.

The proof is 211 posts count at start and I have 231 posts excluding this.

Kindly review this, thank you!
304  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S on: May 11, 2018, 02:16:36 PM
Did anyone buy Ledger from their site and pay Bitcoin for it?
It scares me a bit because Bitcoin has no supervision.
Is there anyone who did it and everything was fine with him and he got the Ledger without problems?

What does the supervision anything to do with the ledger? Ledger is for security purposes of your wallet. And it is better to buy a ledger and ask for experts where they can buy a legitimate one. I think ledger is the best way to secure your crypto wallet and you should have no problems as long as you buy a legitimate one.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus 2018 crypto currency conference on: May 11, 2018, 02:03:26 PM
The relatively low price of bitcoin on the threshold of the Consensus 2018 crypto currency conference, which will be held in New York on May 14-16, is a favorable factor for further growth.
Do you agree with analysts who talk about rally bitcoin? Is there any ground for this? Or do you think that the rate does not grow from news and events?

I think the rate will only grow through support from different big organizations. A simple conference can't make any change regarding the price of bitcoin. And regarding with the analysts, I think I can trust them as long as they're involved in this cryptocurrency world for a long time.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where can my friends buy bitcoins and other cryptos? on: May 11, 2018, 02:00:01 PM
The one way to buy it is in Indonesia. Bitcoin.co.id

But it's 20% more expensive there.

Anywhere else?

We are located at Indonesia, Singapore, US.

(by fiat of course, otherwise there are tons of options)

You can buy bitcoin in exchange sites like Binance and KuCoin. But if you are in United States you can buy in coinbase if I am not mistaken. I already tried the services of Binance and KuCoin and so far they've done really well. I am not from U.S so I haven't tried coinbase.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook against bitcoin? on: May 10, 2018, 02:21:49 PM
Some ICOs and Cryptos are not totally friendly since most of them are scammers and have failed projects that leads to a huge loss for the investor/s. But I think the advertisements of such ICOs are just restricted for now.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo to surpass Eth on: May 07, 2018, 12:57:01 PM
Everyone keeps saying that neo will surpass eth.. how come then the price hasn't even gone over $100 :/

Yes, the price maybe is $100 right now. But we don't know what will happen in the next few years. NEO is also a great coin and it is not impossible that it can surpass Ethereum. NEO also has that capability because it is one of the top coins right now.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop the “Pump and dump” campaigns? on: May 07, 2018, 12:55:57 PM
What are the best methods of protecting the community from these campaigns?

What is the meaning of pump and dump? Does that mean the coin is going to pump for a while and you should dump because it will never pump again?

311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it a Good time to Buy Cardano ? on: May 05, 2018, 12:51:34 PM
Today Cardano [ADA] cost about $0.268819 USD.

Is it a good time to buy, or do you think it may go down again ?

Any Suggestions ?

Thank You

Go buy some. This is good because it is in less than a dollar. You better have more of that and hold it until it becomes more profitable. It will probably reach its maximum point this year in the 4th quarter just like in bitcoin.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Prices Will Down! on: May 05, 2018, 12:50:17 PM
It's been like this even before. And it is normal. If ever altcoins go down again just go buy more and hold it until it becomes profitable again. We have nothing to fear here. Just make sure you invest money in altcoins that have a future like XRP. Focus on coins that have a small price.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to hodl tokens? on: May 05, 2018, 12:46:27 PM
Hi Everyone.

I need advice about hodl tokens. I bought some tokens from different ICO projects. And I received tokens in MyEtherWallet. Those tokens are based on Etherium(ERC20)

Here is a question. Where is the safest place, or the safest way to hodl those tokens? Since DNS server for Myetherwallet has been hacked, I don't feel it is safe anymore.

Any advice?

Thanks.

If you're going to have a MyEtherWallet, please use MetaMask or ledger to secure your wallet. Even though you use another type of ERC20 supported wallet, it is still possible that you can get hacked because you don't have this security measures. Any wallet is vulnerable.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will reach $ 2500 on: May 04, 2018, 09:55:10 AM
Ethereum is a good altcoin and also very vulnerable to the volatility of the market. We can't really sure when it will reach $2,500 but we know for sure that it will reach even higher than $3,000. Ethereum will have a good future in the market.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH worth buying now or wait? on: May 04, 2018, 05:03:12 AM
Ethereum is worth buying now, since Ethereum and other coins especially bitcoin are recovering with a green and red time by time but if we're going to compare ethereum's price today and last month it was worth buying even more eth than today but it still worth buying though for long term hodl.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is crypto industry dangerous ? on: May 03, 2018, 12:08:32 PM
Crypto Industry is not just dangerous, but it's also risky knowing the volatility of the market, existing hackers, scammers and such factors that might let you define crypto.

But that's the downside of it, let think the upside of it.

It's profitable, free from government taxes, self control on your coins that you hold and such.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telegram is Reportedly Calling Off Its ICO Plans After Two Funding Rounds on: May 03, 2018, 11:27:33 AM

Don't believe it until I see some more news about this. Can't imagine why somebody (Telegram) would return that much money after most successful ICO of all times??
[/quote]

It is actually happening. As of now, there is news in google 16 hours ago and 2 10 hours ago. It is from The Verge, Gizmodo, and CCN. I am also sad about this because it is one of the best ICOs that existed so far.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hodl ether ? on: May 03, 2018, 11:25:13 AM
Should I hodl Ether or sell and invest in something else ? And if yes, then what should that new thing be ?

I would recommend you to hold your eth until it becomes more profitable for you. And only get some money if you really need to. Participate in legitimate ICOs but do research first in order for you to know if it's a scam. Buy some coins that have a low price, and hold it and do the same thing I told you in the first and second sentences.
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really have financial privacy and anonymity? on: May 03, 2018, 11:20:23 AM
I was just thinking if we really have financial privacy with Bitcoin with all these different types of analysis tools?

https://www.walletexplorer.com/ identifies your wallet provider and https://www.chainalysis.com/ link them all together. I am not sure if these analysis tools are rendered void by the use of Mixer services, but it is still a problem for many people not using these Mixer services.

My main concern is IF we have given governments the perfect solution with Bitcoin to track all financial transactions. Something that is not currently possible with Fiat cash. I am not concerned about governments that are using this technology to track criminals or terrorists, but rather those governments that wants to use that information to get rid of their opposition. <People who donate money to sites like WikiLeaks>

These tools can be used for "Good" and "Bad" and we will never know if "Bad" people are using these tools to target "Good" people.  Huh

What is your opinion about this?

For me, everything has a positive effect and negative effect. For example, in bitcoin, since we are in a decentralized system, it is really hard to track illegal transactions, and instances where your wallet gets hacked. But in a decentralized system, there is a high chance that you can protect your identity if you want. But in a centralized system, the government can track your funds and any form of illegal activities and there is a chance that your funds can be restored. And the downside is they can put taxes and your funds can get lower.
