I had an expectation like Real Madrid would become the winner by a one-goal gap but they got the win by two goals. Atletico Madrid couldn't even score one goal. They were literally helpless against Real Madrid in this away match. Diego Simeone must be really uncomfortable with this result. It was obvious that Real Madrid were the closer team to win considering their recent form. But a team like Atletico Madrid should have been able to fight back against them.

There is still not a certain date for the Tottenham vs Rennes match to be played. Due to high number of covid-19 cases among Tottenham players, it has been postponed as you all remember. There is not much time left for the draws to be decided in the European tournaments. The draws can still take place and there will be so much time before the matches to start. In that period, we would watch this match certainly. And I think that Tottenham would advance by defeating Rennes.
Mate, if you would look few posts back, you would see that decisio about game was already made - it won't be played because Spurs and Rennes failed to find new date for this game. So, Rennes most likely will be awarded with 3:0 and Rennes will move to next round together with Vitese. I'm not sure, maybe for Spurs it's better to be liminated without playing than getting an defeat in decisive game  . Is this really the case? I'm getting informed about it newly. But this is really unfair for Tottenham I think. Just because the players got covid-19, they won't even be able to play the match vs Rennes and it will be a 3-0 win for Rennes. Vitesse must be very happy to hear this but I still don't think that it is a fair decision like I said. Because they can still determine the draws and this match would have been played. Anyway, maybe Tottenham are not even sad about it as it is a small tournament. |

I just can't wait to see the draws tomorrow. I wonder one thing the most whether we will see one draw or maybe more than one like an early final match. I would like to see that kind of draws when we are closing in to the final stage. And I wonder what Bayern Munich will do if they have a draw vs PSG again like the last season. They have an unfinished business with PSG. They would like to take revenge on them in that case.

It was unexpected for me to see that Union Berlin were eliminated after getting a 1-1 draw against Slavia Prague. But I think the reason was that Union Berlin were an inexperienced team while Slavia Prague were the opposite. They maintained this score really well and deserved to qualify for the 1/16 finals. Union Berlin had no choice different than defeating their competitor but they couldn't.

Sassuolo v Lazio seems to be the most interesting match this time. Because the rest of the favourite teams are having very easy matches this week. But it is really hard to predict the winner of this match. And I think that a draw wouldn't surprise me. But one thing that I'm sure of it to happen is each team's scoring at least one goal. I got bored when I saw that Villarreal made the score in favour of them by 3-0 until the first minutes of the second half already. But Atalanta's attempt to turn the game around was really worth watching. They scored two goals in only nine minutes and made it 3-2. And there were still at least ten minutes to go. A probable one more goal by Atalanta would change everything about this match. But it didn't happen and Villarreal beat them by this score.

I think that the Chelsea v Leeds match is going to be fun in two days. Maybe Leeds are not in a good shape but they are a capable team as for scoring. Even if they don't score, they can have dangerous attacks very easily against their competitors. Chelsea have a strong defense but even they might concede at least one goal from them. I think that Chelsea can win this match with a 2-1 or 3-1 score.

What a performance by Real Sociedad! They had to defeat PSV to leave PSV behind in the group and take the second position. And it looked really difficult to me. But Real Sociedad showed things easier than it seems. They got a decent 3-0 win against PSV and moved them out of their way in the Europa League. PSV already had missing players and maybe this was one of the reasons why they couldn't resist their opponent here.

Bayern Munich literally ended Barcelona last night by 3-0 and it is the end for Barcelona in the Champions League too. They are going to be competing in the Europa League by the next stage. And I never believed in Barcelona to become victorious in the match vs Bayern Munich also. Because they are recovering newly and they didn't have much thing to do against a this strong team.

Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde grup aşaması bir maç hariç sona erdi. O maç da aşırı kar yağışı nedeniyle bugüne ertelenen Atalanta - Villarreal. Bu arada bu maç iki takım için de önem taşıyor çünkü ikisinin de hala gruptan çıkma şansı devam ediyor. Villarreal 1 puan önde olsa da ben bu maçta Atalanta galibiyetine daha yakın hissediyorum. Bu arada Chelsea dün büyük şansı tepti. Zenit ile 3-3 berabere kaldı ve Juventus da Malmö'yü 1-0 yenince grubu lider olarak tamamlayan Juventus oldu.

They really deserve to be the leader now and there is no team that deserve the place more than them I think. And in this match, Real Madrid are highly favoured. But I still don't wait for them to win by a wide score gap. It'd most probably be by one goal.

There is not much time left for the last matches of some groups to end. And as far as I can see now, Milan are 2-1 behind home vs Liverpool and Porto are being defeated by Atletico Madrid by 0-1 home. If these matches end by these scores, then Atletico Madrid will be the 2nd qualifier for the next stage. Porto will move down to the Europa League and Milan are going to be out of the tournament.

Everton dün gece evinde Arsenal'i konuk etti. Oldukça ilginç bir maç olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Richarlison'un iptal edilen golünün hemen sonrasında ilk yarının son dakikalarında Arsenal öne geçti. İkinci yarı bir süre boyunca durgundu fakat bir noktadan sonra heyecan artmaya başladı. Richarlison, attığı iki golün iptal edilmesine rağmen sonunda skora eşitlik getirdi. Ve duraklama dakikalarında, Arsenal'i yıkan golü atarak Everton maçı 2-1 kazanmayı başardı.
