For the 1x 16x w/Molex conector it states:

I don't know if I need a molex conector. Does this means it is better but not necessary in any case?
Take a look at this: http://blog.zorinaq.com/?e=44If all you've got is one card, you don't need the molex connector, as the cable itself can handle the current that the card draws from the motherboard. The problem is when you're running multiple cards, the power drawn through the motherboard all adds up, and can potentially melt something. I don't know the exact point at which you need the molex connector. I went with it for the single 5970 on my 5-card rig. Maybe I could have gotten away with not using it, but I didn't want to take the chance. |

Hey guys I just got my 1x->16x extender and I can't get my comp to pick up the 3rd card. I've tried with and without dummy plug, still no go. Can anyone post up a picture of using a 1x slot with the extender to the vid card? My buddy tried everything even messing with bios and nothing seem to get the video card detected.
Comp stats:
-Win 7 64bit
-Already running 2- 5870, using extender to plug in a third card
-Mother board is Asus P5k Pro with both 16x slots already used and using the extender on a 1x slot.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Try running one of the known-good cards on a known-good slot through the extender. If that doesn't work, either there's a problem with the extender, or you may need to short the presence-detect pins as shown here: http://blog.zorinaq.com/?e=42 |

I believe it's the same cable, but Cablesaurus ships from the US, while that Ebay seller ships from China. With Cablesaurus you wait 2 or 3 days (assuming you're also in the US), with the other seller you wait 2 or 3 weeks. If you're depending on having those cables to add more mining capacity, getting them quickly is of utmost importance. and any idea why it costs $2.7 extra to cut the side of a pci-e extender? Because there are lazy people who will pay that much to have someone else do it for them.  If you're not one of those people, you can save $2.7 per cable. |

the problem on this one is that you only can actually manage only one GPU. in my case with a 5970 card that has 2 GPU's, i only can do the settings on the first gpu DEVICE=0.

Not as far as I know. I think the XFX warranties are limited to the first owner and the second owner. You're a bit far from me... So I would need to get express/priority shipping to have it here by Wednesday... If you include this in the $200 USD (BTC) Price, you got a deal with me.

Do you have any references? Can we use clearcoin? I'd consider $190 plus the shipping charge, so at least $205, assuming I don't get any better offers soon.
I don't have any trading references yet, other than having bought items from Cablesaurus. I've been involved in the Bitcoin community for about a month, and I hang out on IRC a lot in #bitcoin and #bitcoin-mining. gmaxwell and grbgout should be able to verify that I've at least been around. I'm also using my real name, and I've signed posts here with my PGP key (now that I think of it, I'll go sign the 5870 post).
